New Journey

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
[member="Abbey Ainsley"]

So many new things and here and there she could explore. All of the hard work the people had been doing would not fail to pay off as the jedi master baked in the air down towards the yoshiwara district of the main city before she touched down. THe four divided districts with the main houses gave way to streets and buildings while she was going in towards the city temple and the underground entrance to the really long underground road but it led upt o the lake temple. Through the honey comb of underground roads they had worked on and either sealed or made monitoring stations on to observe. Some were fixed up and used for storage, others houses some of the jedi knights and padawans giving them a place and mess halls between there and here. Matsu was heading to meet some fo the new padawans who had come to the lake temple while hopping on the Dala and checking its new upgrades. Namely the speed enhancements and finer tuning they had been doing while she saw the lights go on and they were driving down the massive tunnel.

A new young girl quietly sat near a strange structure, that so much it could be considered a pole to the temple. On the ground with her back to the thing, she looked down at her hand and repeatedly squeezed and released it, trying to just barley keep her temper under control. Some of the other people had recently upset her, and still, she was fighting the weak ginger insults swimming about in her head. She didn't even notice anyone passing her, especially in her spot of the shadows where the light didn't dare shine directly.

Matsu continued through the tunnel in the transport as she was looking over some fo the new records, picking and choosing who might stay here and who could likely go to Voss or Vaynai. There were other worlds that were ideal for different students of the jedi and well usually they got to look over some of them while her attention was on some of the things. They arrived soon after and she was getting out of the transport as the ranger driving it offered a grin looking at the massive underground doors of the temple before taking the lift up to the different areas. Getting a nice look before she came out in one of the main areas and walked looking at one of the students and the small jedi bowed. "Welcome to the academy

For just a moment, Abbey felt her head sink down lowly as a sign of dread for the future events. She was sick and tired of this place already, and hadn't even gotten her first - rock, or whatever people here used for training when they're not given vibro swords. For a few more seconds she laid in the shadows, then gotten herself up and walked a few paces toward the Jedi Master. "Hello. I look forward to learning with you."

Matsu sensed the padawan and looking at her she bowed her head while leading the way. "Well welcome to the academy, I do hope you will find some enjoyment here." She looked at her and was heading towards the upper levels leading out into the lake temple. "We have many classes you can take. Plnty of teachers and all the other things. You need only ask for it padawan." The transport was out there as well as some of the ranger's were testing it out with the upgraded booster to hop and jump over rocks or fences to see what it could do. Matsu looked out on the lake before seeing all of the large trees. "So do you have any preferences?"

Of all the options, Abbey quietly looked around for a few long moments, then turned her attention to Matsu with a small firm smile on her face. She was thinking about this earlier, and sure it was now what she wanted to do with her time. "I want to become strong, and be able to use a lightsaber. I need the training, I really so. Can you provide that?" She asked with a small tone of nervousness in her voice.

Lightsaber training huh.. everyone wanted to swing their magic glow swords and be a cool flashy jedi. The jedi master looked at the girl and well she couldn't make her smile or be cheery as she already gave a smile... but. "Yes I can but not here. We shall have to go up to a safer place." She was looking at the girl and held a hand up as one of the larger transports came to pick them up and Matsu motioned for her to go inside. "We'll head up to the sky temple. There I can show you how to use a saber. You have a training blade right? Or have you made one of your own?"

The question clearly made her nervous. Standing awkwardly in front of the ship, before walking in, she decided to stay quiet. She only assumed she would receive something that was talked about previously, so she wouldn't have to get in trouble for not having one, or getting one when she was supposed to.

Matsu let her get in and they were setting the course up the mountain for them to take. All of their time she could sit there and work with her while going over some of the things. "No matter we have plenty of training blades." She said it with a smile on her face while sitting down and showing her to get the seatbelt to stay secured. Didn't want to get thrown around the transport while they were heading up the mountain pathways.

The girl carefully adjusted the belts onto herself, then hung onto them with both hands as her eyes left the ship's gaze and went to the boot of her leggings. "Alright... I don't know how this school works all too well yet. I just got here."

"Well the run down is, you get lessons in how to be a good person, altruistic, kind, helpful... also in how to use the energy of the galaxy. In exchange for that you get to be taught by masters who have spent most of their lives learning." She watched the transport go near one of the rocks and then it boosted over it as the large wheels touched the surface again. It was more like a roller coaster now then a cramps shipping crate.

A tiny little sigh left Abbey's lips. She felt over her cloth robes for a long moment, then raised her head to look up at her new apparent teacher. "Well, is it the right path? I mean, if I want to help people, sometimes I have to be mean. Talk to criminals and stuff."

Matsu looked at her and moved across the way, her body seeming to get out of the harness quickly and into another in a flash before she was speaking. "A lot of masters would tell you what they view as right and wrong, how they see the galaxy.... and I could do that as well if you like but I learned awhile ago one of the most important things when teaching a student is to give them the information and knowledge but let them make their own choices."

That made a lot of sense, more so than anything she had encountered so far. First the offer for a job in her time of need, training, clothes, weird food and being asked to do some weird meditation of all things. At least she was able to make her own choices in this job. That was nice. "So you Jedi let me pretty much choose my own path? That doesn't sound like a real job." She frowned a tiny bit, following after the trainer with a bit of a sluggish movement.

"Well it isn't, we don't get paid we get to do it from the goodness of our hearts." Which sometimes meant really low quality equipment or gear but Sasori itself had been working to correct that mistake in some of the things it made. The transport turned going up the pathway more climbing to the large sky temple and stopping as the side of the mountain became a large temple carved into it with in the distance the lakes and city,

Well that didn't mean she couldn't sell her Force powers later once she learned them. - She walked forward to see the temple, gently squinting to see it properly before moving a few steps forward. "So how do we get our lightsabers out? I kind of forgot how to do mine." She said with a blunt and quick excuse to her previous failures - of not having one.

"We start with sabers by." She brought out one of the training blades from the robes and well had her blades there off to the side while working on some of the things. The training saber igniting with an orange blade for use before she was pulled out her own silver one. "You can use this one until you make or find your own." She didn't really make it an emphasis there were plenty of jedi who didn't usen a blade so no real problem while she was moving forward with things.

She stared down at the strange blade, slowly taking it into her hands, and watching the blade's tiny side flickers. The hum of it sounded so unreal, but that was probably just her never wanting to admit these weapons existed. "So now I get to swing this around? Just like a Jedi? That is how it works, right?"

"Well more to it then that but yes, you can just swing it and possibly lose a limb." She didn't say training blade would just burn. "Or learn how to move with it to protect yourself so you can defend others as well." She was looking at her and holding the blade in one hand moved off to the side while looking out at the landscape. "The choice ultimately is yours."

She slowly moved the blade around a few times, then held it out and pretended to stab a few items in front of her. "This is easy. I don't see what the big fuss is about Jedi being too powerful with lightsabers..." She made a small frown, looking over at Matsu.
