Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist

Hmm a lesson for her to practice that wasn't this. "Perhaps, I'll let you work on it. The meditation is to center yourself and collect the force within you to levitate yourself and the objects around you." She said it with a small smile on her face while looking over more of the things in the distance. She was relaxed and sat back down crossing her legs near the edge of the platform.

That drew a small upset breath from Abbey. She didn't know how to do any of that. "Can you teach me how tomorrow then? I don't know how to move stuff with the... Force, or whatever."

Matsu looked back at her and she could do that. "I can teach you how to use the force to move things if you wish it." Offering her a smile and remaining there. "Tomorrow or whenever you are ready, I have nothing but time padawan." Matsu turned back and looked at it all as she motioned for the ranger. "Head down to the lower sections of the temple and make sure the systems are working please. We'll be fine up here." The ranger nodded his head while she was getting into the dala and driving, testing the new upgrades to it as the tranport went down the path and boosted up and over the debris going towards parts of the temple down below.

The Padawan watched the ranger disappear, then slowly moved forward to Matsu and pressed her own fingers together very softly. After a moment of silence she sat down and looked up at her, making tiny puppy eyes. "I miss my family. I don't know why, but I do now. It's hard to live as a Jedi. I'm not sure I can do it." She wasn't sure why she was telling her this, but she hoped she could find answers and get the training she needed soon.

matsu listened and left a space the girl could sit in while watching the valley and the sun going over near the mountains. "It can be a hard life, my family is very large and most of us are jedi so it made missing them hard but I do know what you feel like. That sense of lose can be dangerous though, if it is making you have doubt it can endanger you and others." She said it while looking forward with some of the things.

Abbey let out a long breath and gently buried her face into her hands. She sensed some of the things around her this time - though it was harder than before, then let the feeling go and curled up into a small ball. "Is it worth it?"

Matsu looked at her a little curious. "Being a jedi? Yes and no, sometimes it will hurt, sometimes it will feel like the weight of the galaxy is on your shoulders and trying to grind you into dust. Other times you'll help somone and there will be such joy in their eyes you will wonder why could ever thought anything else." She laughed a little to herself. "And sometimes very rarely you will get tired and seek to just relax and enjoy yourself which you can do. Many jedi choose to meditate alone away from the eyes of others. No one knows what they might be doing."

She thought again about it, then slowly stood herself up and started to walk down to the temple. "I'm going to do that... alone, I guess. i'll learn to force move stuff later."

Matsu looked at her go and bowed her head as she was looking at the things in the valley below. "As you wish." There was a small grin on her face though while she was moving and watching the transport climb back up the side of the nmountain using the booster and its new frame to roll and correct itself.

Abbey quickly made her way to the temple, and there went into the library to hide in a dark corner and curl up to mope at herself. She wasn't sure what she wanted anymore, and no one seemed to be good enough to be her trainer.

Matsu looked at the padawan head off while she moved to work with the ranger. He was adjusting the weapons on the room and going over some of the things with her. "If we rework it so the guns are less, maybe modular with a couple of things we can make it less top heavy and requiring a mount. It will allow the boosters to give more lift and use the shockwave generator to slam enemy positions with the armored underbelly." Matsu listened and gave him a nod, adjusting it so the weapons could be modular and switched out as a secondary set while the main cannon was there would be more useful and provide a variaty of Dala's they could use. WHile the padawan was off studying she was working with him on it.

After many hours of sulking in a dark shadow of the library, young Padawan Abbey finally came out and selected a few datapads to read. She sat this time in a brighter area of the library, quietly scrolling down the data, reading and learning all that she could before she decided it would be better to sleep for a while.

As tomorrow rolled by...

Abbey woke up in her strange room, given to her by the temple. Her eyes forced themselves open, and she forced herself out of bed. After a quick morning routine of breakfast and a shower, she went back to the outside fences of the Jedi temple and looked out with her two green eyes. She wanted to believe that she had the mental power to do everything a Jedi could - but she just needed time and a patient trainer to do so.

Focusing was the first part. She sat down on the warm ground and closed her eyes, resting both hands onto her knees. Step one, focus on the things around you, and feel for the Force. She could use her trainer again right about now, even if she wasn't doing all the steps correctly, she thought she found the way to do it.

Matsu had continued to work with the ranger into the night, removing and altering the weapons so they could lay it out differently. For now they just kept the excess ones in the transport but would have to work on those while getting it more cargo and passenger space was a must. She slept there in the transport waking up with the sun while she moved through the temple with the others all around. The skly temple was a rather nice place to be for training and awakening before she was flying up from the lower cliff section of the temple. She was looking at the padawan there as she touched down feeling more of the force energies rolling off.

Abbey slowly realized the Force was like a second set of eyes sometimes. She didn't even have to open her eyes to sense that someone else was coming closer to her - though she could not identify it properly quite yet. She could tell it was the lighter side, though. She took a deep breath in, then out, relaxing her muscles further more as she focused - this time not trying as hard as she was. That was her main issue last time, she concluded.

She gently opened her eyes after a few more moments, proud of herself to be able to finally do one of the most simple exercises the Padawan could learn. She got onto her feet slowly and leaned against the railing, looking in the direction she found her master's force energy. The datapads told her that was the proper way to do it - but she wanted to check with a few of the masters first before she started getting in the habit of doing everything wrong.

Matsu continued to watch the girl and for a moment saw she was doing it or at least not overthinking it all. Letting it come natural to your body with the force was one of the first steps to learn in any situation. The jedi master moved ower near her but not too close as she was watching her and letting the force roll off of herself in slightly waves of energy to calm and sooth. To promote a sense of focus in her work befoe the real hard things began. "You are doing better, stay relaxed and let it come to you naturally."

Abbey looked up at the person she nearly claimed as a master times before, then nodded her head, looking away at the forest for a few long moments. Her voice picked up just parts before she turned back to look at the Jedi Master. "It's hard, to not... rush, into things. Usually you can do it with almost everything, but the Force is different for me. It doesn't work the same way." With a small grimmic, she gulped down and sighed. "I guess I really do need a teacher after all."

Matsu looked at her while she remained there and bowed her head. "Rushing things can be dangerous and everyone needs help padawan. You just got to ask for help." She offered a hand to the girl while waiting there for a moment with some of her attention and looking her over. "So how have you been progressing on your own my dear."
