Core Worlds, Bormea sector.
Chandrila system, Chandrila.

[member="Xilo Gale"]

Chandrila had always been a jewel in the Core. With it's sincere beauty and peaceful way, it was the perfect world to settle down. The war had not come to the Chandrila system, and whilst it's people had suffered the same as the rest of the galaxy during the Four-Hundred Year Darkness and Akala's attack on the galaxy, in comparison to other worlds, Chandrila had been rather lucky. It also served as a possible way to create a large sum of money, as seen with the recent sale of Chandrila DataTech. Thirty two million credits was a large sum of money for anyone and it was with that capital that Alicia Drey would begin her new venture.

The Chandrilians and their world were most famous for two things when it came to trade: technology and foodstuffs. They loved the new gadgets and devices that came out. Being part of the Core Worlds served to satisfy that love for technology, being only a few light years away from Coruscant. For generations, companies would come with the major import of technology for the Chandrilians to buy, creating huge profits over the years.

When Chandrila DataTech was founded, it's founder sought to corner the technology market on the world by bringing it to Chandrila's doorstep. A retail chain that would supply the latest gadgets, Chandrila instantly fell in love with it. Hanna City saw a rise in Lenoi, Raxor and Core products that DataTech produced. Whilst companies from other worlds continued to bring their own technologies for sale, DataTech was praised by the highest offices for bringing a boost to Chandrila's economy. No longer were credits flying out of the Chandrila system and into the pockets of foreign worlds and corporations, for a home based company could satisfy the Chandrilian love for technology.

With [member="Taeli Rae"]'s acquisition of Chandrila DataTech for a cool thirty two million credits, and a few incentives that were agreed upon their contract of agreement, Alicia Drey was free to now focus on Chandrila's major export. As her father began the path to corner Chandrila's import, his daughter would do the same in reverse. Chandrila Group, which would be the name of the new company that Alicia Drey would start, would begin pooling credits back from those foreign worlds and corporations that sought to take from it with their imports. The galaxy was at war, and with business gurus from across the galaxy focusing on industry, technology and military markets to fund the war machines that battled one another, there was an old market that had been overlooked and could easily be exploited.

It was why Alicia had returned home, waiting for the arrival of Xilo Gale at Emita. The scene was a cafe, where she was enjoying a breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast and a coffee. It had been sometime since Alicia had last made contact with Xilo and before they moved out to begin her newest business venture, she wanted to ensure that Xilo could still be trust and whether or not he still had some loyalty for her. Above all, Alicia sought to look for any signs of the serial murderer she had met on Coruscant.

Entering the cafe Xilo straightened his black and white pinstriped suit and rubbed his hand through the hair in the center of his head. He hadn't physically changed to much since the last time he had met Arya, but in terms of attitude in personality he had. A hint of emotion now floated behind his eyes as he scanned the cafe for where the one who had at one point was supposed to be. Where his right arm would be hung his suit's sleeve limply which drew the attention of the surrounding attendants, but it meant nothing to Xilo. He just hadn't gotten around to replacing it yet, his left arm would be sufficient for any threats that dared interrupt him on the day with the reunion of the one person in the galaxy he had been searching for.

Arya was the one who had freed him from the murderous, sadistic beast that he now kept locked up tight in the deepest recesses of his mind. In the past Xilo wouldn't have hesitated to kill everyone in the cafe before sitting down and laughing about it, but now things had changed. Sometimes the thoughts would flicker to the surface, but the urge could be controlled now. It didn't control him. Finally spotting her Xilo crossed the breadth of the cafe towards her, and things seemed to slow down. The moment he had waited for was here, yet he was scared. His legs felt like lead and his head began to swim. Sighing deeply Xilo turned that fear into power he grasped it and walked up and sat in the empty seat across from Arya.

"Hello Xilo. It has been a long time." Alicia didn't smile at first. As she had told Jaron Lesan once, that she did not think fear to be a good motivator when it came to motivating the people who served her to do her bidding. Fear led to anger. Anger led to hatred. Hatred led to the types of retribution, and in most cases, the types of revenge that she wanted to avoid.

It was in times like these that her lives tended to mix. Although the plan had changed for what she and her master planned with the economics and business that they were shaping to be, Darth Ayra still required the wealth and influence that ventures such as the one that she was undertaking as Alicia Drey would bring to the fold. Men like Xilo Gale, Force-sensitives burdened by dark beginnings to their life, were both a danger and resource to be used. So long as that danger did not come back to bite her, or in Xilo's case a swift death, he was of use to her and thus the risk was an acceptable one.

Alica had instilled a sense of fear in the boy. It was a different one to the type that he had suffered under the bane of his father, who had passed away at the hands of Xilo, but it had worked. Even now, months after their time together in the catacombs of the Sith Temple on Coruscant, he had answered her call and ventured to Chandrila without protest or question.

Xilo had come to understanding who the woman was in front of him. Through strength, I gain power. That was the tenant of the Sith code that Ayra had taught him. She was the strong, thus she was the powerful; and the weak serve the powerful, in all kinds of different ways. Whether you were the waiter that had served Alicia her breakfast, abiding by the concept of position and the need for money or Xilo, who knew that Ayra was a way to powers that he wanted as a Sith, he had come to understand the concepts of power and had come to the understanding of his position, as Ayra had expected him too.

Now the trick was to turn that understanding that came from the fear he felt into something else. One that was more inclined to motivate Xilo into becoming the subordinate she needed now and the apprentice that she wanted later down the line. Candidates had come to mind- @Jaron Lesan was the most recent- but Xilo Gale presented a potential that had yet to be tapped. He did not know of her thoughts or intentions and with that power over him, Darth Ayra was free to position Xilo as to where she saw fit in the Grand Plan. Whether he would learn more to the project depended entirely on the apprenticeship that could be offered; and the role as Sith apprentice would only be gained if the Sith Lord decided that he was the one in a galaxy full of ones to enter the crucial role. If he failed to live up to expectations, there was other places to fulfill. Compartmentalization was a powerful tool.

"Are you hungry? We have somethings to discuss before we head out; and I am expecting someone else to arrive, who has shown interest in my new venture. Feel free to choose anything on the menu. They will cook and serve it for you." Alicia gave the young man a smile to encourage him.

Even when he wasn't offered a smile at first XIlo offered his instead. Not his usual "I'll kill you smile". Instead it was a more calm and serene one. One from a man who had a new understanding of the galaxy. Arya was someone that Xilo did not trust, but he did at the same time. A part of him even now as he sat before her was screaming at him to stand and run from the cafe. To flee back to the Coruscant Undercity and go back to his drinking. Back to minding his own business, but those days were over. After the battle of Manaan and Arya's disappearance Xilo had sunken into a stupor where he spent days at a time spent in bars drinking. He barely ate anything and during those days he was at his thinnest barely able to hold himself up straight. All it took was someone coming to drag him out of the stupor and now he had a purpose again. This would just be a side venture and a way to paying his debt to Arya. As well as figuring out where the women had fled to and stayed under the radar for so long.

"Yes it has been a long time... Arya. A long time since you left me wondering what I was supposed to do. After you raised so many questions. But it is good to see you again." Xilo said not letting the calm facade drop from his face. He was bitter beneath the surface but he had learned to hide these emotions, to cover them up with a faux skin just like Arya did with her true self. Xilo had seen her true self back in the catacombs and knew what sat before him wasn't the true Arya. She was the last person he had called master, not even the one who had recently took him under her wing had earned the title in his eyes. It was a word he didn't apply to anyone but Arya as she was the one who had freed him.

Raising his hand and summoning a waiter Xilo pointed at the emerald wine on the menu before handing it to the man. He hungered for something completely different. More money, more information, but most importantly Xilo craved more power. Here before him sat one of the people who could offer it to him, and he had no intention of loosing his chance. No I'm not hungry, just quenching my thirst. I wasn't planning on making the trip to this planet... So what did we have to discuss?" Xilo asked as he finally saw Arya crack a smile. It seemed to ease the tension within himself but he still felt on edge.

"Firstly, the nature of our relationship and where we stand." Alicia ate her breakfast as she conversed with Xilo. She swallowed a forkful of egg and toast before gulping a mouthful of water before continuing her explanation. "Firstly, you have to become use to knowing when and how to address me. Out in the public like this, it is imperative that you know me as Alicia Drey." She checked to see if anyone was listening, both with her head, eyes and the Force before turning back to Xilo. "Secrecy is imperative."

"The questions that I left you with were important because it led to you to having an understanding. I presented you an opportunity to change the galaxy for the better, where men like your father won't be in a position to do what he did to you to others. Murder is one way of solving that problem, but as you know from experience, that isn't necessarily the best solution."

"Ventures like this, which I have decided to involve you in, are steps closer to achieving the goal. The lies of the Jedi will become undone by the work that you and I shall do together. We will undo the mistakes that have been done and usher in a new age. But to do this, we firstly need power and however immaterial it is, currency is one of the resources that makes this galaxy tick. Attaining wealth is the first stage."

"I remember you telling me that you no longer wanted to be kept in the dark. So I propose the following. Instead of letting the dark control you, why don't you control it? Through your powers, you bend the dark to your will and use it for your own devices. I can teach you how to do this. Instead of you being left in the dark, we will leave our enemies in it. There are other and far more better ways to solve problems, beyond the simplicity of murder."

"So today, I will bring you into the world of business, commerce and economics, so that you may come to understand a little of the work that I am doing; and in time, if enough application, you may come to see the scope of my project."

"Can you be trusted, Xilo? Can you work for me? Only you can tell me this. Please, convince me."

Alicia leaned back in her seat, folding one leg over the other. She cleaned the toast crumbs from her lips whilst she watched and listened to Xilo.

With the fingers from his right hand still drilling upon the table the emerald wine he had ordered finally arrived. The lime green liquid didn't stand a chance as Xilo picked it up and took a gentle sip from the glass. The sweet fruity taste danced upon his lips as the liquid slipped down his throat. It didn't have the satisfying burn like whiskey or other hard liquors but it would suffice. "Well considering you never trusted me with your first name I didn't know what else to call you." Xilo said simply keeping his lips pressed to the glass and whispering so only Arya could here. Then draining the rest of the glass he set it down on the table and examined the women. The way she ate her breakfast with efficiency just like she probably fought or trained. So nodding his head Xilo listened to what she had to say, and this time at the mention of his father his left eye simply twitched. The mention of his father used to give the boy slight traumatic experiences, but now it was merely a small distraction. Memories that he beat back into a cage deep in the recesses of his mind.

"Yes I've learned just how wrong I was in my attempts to purge the galaxy as a whole. As you see I've grown out of that way of thinking... Mostly thanks to you." I admitted, murder in the way I had done it before made me no better then my father. In fact I was probably worse then him as no one was safe from me. I had killed without restraint and remorse. Now that is saved for my enemies. Why kill those you can use?

"You're right... I can't argue with that, just look at the galaxy. In an age where weapons and starship manufactures are on top, and more pop up everyday. Feeding the flames of the wars that the galaxy is engulfed in. More needless deaths caused. No one ever thinks of the innocents that they hurt doing such things..." Xilo said pondering on just how many jobs had been lost and created by the opening of factories, but the lost homes that had been bulldozed to create room for that factory. The companies that had been bought out with the employees fired.

Perking up at the mention of being pulled into the world of business Xilo cracked a sly smile. For once he was slightly ahead of Arya. He had already taken his first steps quite awhile ago initially after her disappearance. "Yes I've taken my first steps into buissness already. I am owner of three percent of Blas-Tech. Which may not seem that big a number but for a company that spreads the breadth of the galaxy it certainly fills my coffers. Though yes I will work for you... I'd have to say one never fully trust anyone wholeheartedly in this galaxy. As even if you trust me you will probably still hold some things back from me. But you can always trust in someone doing whats in their best interest or something that will help in their goals... So yes you can trust me. "

"Excellent." Where Xilo had changed his mind about cleansing the galaxy, the woman that sat across from him had changed her mind about conquering it as well. It was an irony, that Alicia would be the source in which the young man that sat across from her wouldn't hesitate to murder anyone who stood in his way, without a complicated reason or approach, whereas Darth Ayra planned a heinous plot to destroy the galaxy.

There was reasons and justifications for the Sith Lord and her new approach. If she was to build the weapons that would allow her to complete the Grand Plan, then Ayra required wealth. The business and subterfuge that she and Darth Pandeima had begun decades ago might have been for a different purpose at the time, but the imperative had evolved to suit the needs of the galaxy.

"Today is simple. We will be buying land and real estate in and around Emita, so that we will have the production facilities for my new venture. Next, we will deal with the distribution of that production via the spaceports in that city. Emita has three major ones that I would like to begin using." Alicia paid for the breakfast and the drinks that she and Xilo had before standing up. "Let's go."

[member="Darth Ayra"]

Smiling at the bit of praise Xilo pulled a handful of credits out his coat pocket and set it down on the table for the waiter. Mainly for the time that they had spent at the table and partially for the fact that Xilo snatched the nearest bottle of wine off the table next to him... They wouldn't miss it. Alot of the old Xilo was buried but some parts one just couldn't kill off. Standing from the table he straightened his suit before following Arya out the cafe. "Just how much land are you planning on buying? A planet such as this is known for its agriculture so of course theres a large quantity up for sell, but wouldn't it be smarter to buy out the land that other companies and production facilities are placed upon. Thus you rid yourself of the competition and it saves time on us having to prep the land we buy. Crops would already be able to be harvested and the land will be perfect already. Of course I will use my credits as well and we could probably buy empty land as well which could be worked on and grown." Xilo advised. If they were going to corner the market why not corner it completely. If they did that and allowed people to keep their jobs at the facilities they bought on top of opening up new ones of their own they would be seen as pariahs for bringing about more jobs. It would seem as if they cared about the people, which even if they didn't the publicity would be good.

"Just how much do you think we can earn off this venture? Do you think it would be wise to branch off into Genetically modified crops as well? Of course they may be hard to produce but we'd effectively have triple if not quadruple the output when combined with the organic production facilities." This wasn't him showing off or fighting for favor but instead using some of his intellect. He had of course attended the finest schools on Naboo as a child.

"There are three cities on Chandrila. There is the capital, which is Hanna City. Then there is Emita and Nayli. My strategy is to buy the lands surrounding Emita, then use it as a point of distribution to the people that live there, as well as to Nayli and Hanna City. I plan to buy all of the land that is used for growing crops, as well as the farms that both oversee the growth of those crops and livestock. I will employ those farmers by giving them a contract of employment, where they will begin working for me for a fee."

"Chandrila has always been famous for it's export of consumables, that is foodstuffs, to other worlds in the core and beyond. But after the four hundred year darkness, and especially now in the wake of the attack that we saw destroy Corellia and half a dozen worlds, there exists no corporation on Chandrila that can compete with the company I am founding today."

"The only other major corporation on Chandrila is Chandrila DataTech and their business model is to corner the import of technologies that the people here love. For as long as I can remember, the Chandrilians have loved picking up a new gadget or device created from some foreign world and or corporation and they have paid a large amount of money to get hold of that new technology."

"But DataTech isn't a competitor to the market that I will be rejuvenating with the creation of Chandrila Group. Furthermore, I know the inner workings of DataTech because I was the one who just sold it. The person who holds a majority stake in DataTech is a friend of mine, who supports the venture you are helping me to do. People can't buy technology if there are no credits to be spent; and there is no money to be spent on Chandrila because of the problems it has faced in the last few decades. The economy is in a state of recession."

"Chandrila Group will bring money back to Chandrila. It will bring the credits that the Chandrilians will want to spend. I am a wealthy woman that has it in her power to create jobs and rejuvenate the market that Chandrila is most famous for. First we will begin the supply of foodstuffs across the planet, then we will look to expand into the core and beyond."

"But as I said, to do this we will need farms to create our product and then a place of distribution to move that product out across Chandrila. First, we will corner Emita and then we will look to expand in Nayli and Hanna city. Do you understand now?"

The transport Alicia had arranged to drive Xilo and herself to their first destination was her own car and driver, who had been with her for the past decade and a half since she had taken over Chandrila DataTech from her father. She greeted the man as she always had done, with a kind smile and 'how was your day?' routine before settling into the back of the vehicle with Xilo. When they were all inside, the driver activated the engines and began to drive.

Jaw dropping as Arya went into vast detail of what she had planned Xilo couldn't believe what he was hearing. Not only was she going to buy all the land that was used to grow crops she was going to buy the farms as well. It was despicable... No, it was business and it was smart and no one could deny that. She was going to corner the entire market, it was beautiful. A smile growing across his face Xilo continued to follow Arya and nodded his head continuing to listen to her. He hadn't actually witnessed the attack, but rumors and stories of it still floated around. Xilo didn't bother looking into it as it did not effect him personally, but he had felt the mass extinguishing of lives from where he was in the Coruscant Undercity. It had shaken him to his core and almost made him break down as billions had cried out in the force.

As Arya went on about Chandrilla Datatech, Xilo listened and nodded his head. He had heard about the company but never knew she had been the one who had ran it. She just seemed to have her hands in all the pies in the galaxy. How long had it taken her to amass her current wealth? To make the company reach the zenith it was at now? "Yes I understand now... This will be a great undertaking." Xilo said examining the transport doing a once over of their general vicinity to ensure no one was watching and that an ambush was about to happen. Entering the transport behind Arya he took a seat and finally let himself relax sinking into the comfortable seats. "So I know what you want my help with... But why now? Months after your disappearance? Why do you call me now?" Xilo said ignoring the driver. With Arya being as secretive and secure as she was the driver should be able to be trusted, and if not Xilo planned to kill him.

[member="Xilo Gale"]

The driver was in fact one of the Sun Guards of Sojourn, who had come to the service of Darth Ayra ten years ago. Xilo's assumption was spot on. Alicia thought about what she would to say to Xilo. Could he be trusted with the truth? The perimeters of their relationship was based on strength and power. Thus far, Ayra had delivered herself as an extremely strong and intelligent woman, who used both to create a source of power that Xilo found attractive.

The source of her disappearance was a loss of faith in the Grand Plan that Darth Pandeima had begun. For all the business they had conducted and the wealth they had amassed, how had they used that to benefit their aspirations for the galaxy? Corporations such as Chandrila DataTech and Emeritus Industries had delivered substantial wealth in recent times, as well the development of some interesting technological developments. But what good was they if they could not bring about the Grand Plan? They were Darth Ayra and Darth Pandeima, not Alicia Drey and Circe Savan. Yet somewhere along the line, they had lost their way. So she had left Sojourn, Chandrila and the galaxy back to the ancestral home of the Sith. The Esstran sector held the Sith worlds. It was where the Sith Order began and where the first Sith Empire had risen. Kursid, a world that the Order of Sith Lords had used to test themselves against the warriors on the world for generation, was where Darth Ayra fled too.

There, she had thought long and hard about the Grand Plan and what she should do. She had thought about murdering Darth Pandeima and beginning her own Rule of Two, continuing the line of the Order of Sith Lords as the master and apprentice was meant to do. She was more than capable of fighting her Sith master to death, of that she was confident having once orchestrated her death on Coruscant. But that had been used as a diversion so as to allow Ayra to become apart of the One Sith collective, where she had first met Xilo. That had been different.

In the end, Ayra decided that she couldn't killed Pandeima. She loved her. Where the One Sith and their predecessors in the Order of Sith Lords could agree that the love that they held for each other was a source of weakness, Ayra saw it differently. It had been their love that had culminated in the Rule of Two they began. It had seen the creation of the Dark One- a culmination of Pandeima's research for decades- and it would see an end to the galaxy as they knew it.

No longer shackled by the idea of conquering the galaxy, Darth Ayra was free to bring about the creation of a new one. It would see the fulfillment of the promise of the Sith Order; the cleansing of the One Sith and those that did not follow the Rule of Two; and the destruction of the Jedi Order. They would undo the mistakes, weakness and stagnation of a galaxy that had been broken by the Four-Hundred Year Darkness and the attacks that had followed it. No more Clockwork rebellions. No more Dark Harvests. No more attacks by Kwa princesses. No more wars.

Only then, would true peace be ascertained.

Darth Ayra considered the young man that sat next to her, whilst the driver edged closer to the farm. She decided that he wasn't ready for the truth, nor would he understand why she had gone to Kursid and the Grand Plan that she had formed there. Instead, the Sith Lord decided to tell him a lie.

"I was attacked by the same person that destroyed Corellia, as most of the galaxy was attacked as well. I was pulled into the netherworld of the Force, where I had to fight to return to life. I wasn't ready to die and consequentially I sit here now, ready to fix Chandrila, it's economy and by extension, the galaxy itself. That is my aspiration."

"Hmm... I see." Xilo said a glint behind his eyes as he turned to look out the window of the transport. Had she lied to him? He honestly didn't know but what he did know is that from his previous meeting with her she would never do something just out the kindness of her heart, more then just for wealth. She ven talked about a bigger scope for the project. She had been the one to teach him about using others to further your own goals. What she was talking about now seemed to be going in the other direction. Yes it would make her rich and benefit her, but she it just didn't seem right. Things just weren't adding up. Xilo couldn't call her out on being sucked into the netherworld and he knew it. He hadn't experienced it personally or had any part in it so he couldn't call her a liar. If she was playing with her cards close to her chest he would respect it, but he would do the same. Trust was a two way street and he didn't plan on walking it alone. She had promised to no longer leave him in the dark yet here she was probably doing it again. Feeling a pang in his chest from his anger and rage at the situation, Xilo his his emotions with a smile. He wouldn't let her know how he truly felt... Not yet, and if done correctly this little venture could make him rich. The thought was enough to get him to hold onto his thoughts.

"So what was the other side like? How did you ever escape? And what happened to the entity rampaging through the galaxy? Sorry but I was in a stupor most of the time and never actually paid attention to what was happening." Taking a swig from the wine bottle Xilo let the alcohol cool his rage while the rest he drew on. Not casting his glance in her direction Xilo continued to look out at the farm they were approaching.

[member="Xilo Gale"]

Alicia could sense his anger. She didn't need to be a Force-sensitive to do so. Had she messed up somewhere? She reflected on their previous meetings and the time they had spent together on Coruscant. It had just been before the conception. He couldn't call her out on the lie because it was plausible. Many people, including those who were apart of the One Sith, had disappeared and found a way to return. He didn't understand the scope of the project yet and he never would, unless he entered her apprenticeship.

But the apprenticeship she offered was rare. In it's history, only thirty five people had entered the Order of Sith Lords in the Rule of Two. To become her apprentice, Ayra had to understand as to whether or not Xilo had the potential to become the Sith master in the relation and take on board everything she knew. He had to be able to follow the tenants of the Rule of Two. To understand his role in the relationship; and to offer his support to the Grand Plan. She also wasn't comfortable in hiding things from Darth Pandeima. Ayra had already felt the pain that came from deceiving her master and wasn't ready to go through it again. If she was to take an apprentice, then it would be without Pandeima knowing about them; and if that was to happen, then it would confirm her decision about the Rule of Two she had formed with her.

If Xilo entered her apprenticeship, then it meant the end of the Rule of Two that Darth Pandeima and Ayra had formed. The latter would attempt to kill her master, to succeed her in her place and to continue the Grand Plan without interference from her. Although Ayra loved her, she was ready to kill Pandeima if another Aynea Savan, Rave Merrill or Weedkiller incident was to occur, which had all culminated in pushing back the project by years. Another mistake could cost costly, in more ways than one.

"I honestly don't remember." This was the account of most people that had escaped the Netherworld or Chaos. "I don't know how I escaped. I remember the feeling that I had to fight for my life. I must have fought well because here I am talking to you. I don't think either of us are dead, don't you?"

The farm was coming up on the horizon. They would be there soon.

Chuckling as she asked if Xilo thought they were both alive he cast his attention back in her direction. "You are alive that's for sure. Still the same, maybe a bit nicer. Though me... I've been dead a long time." Xilo said not feeling as though he had to explain what he meant. He had died once at the hands of his father, before being born anew. Being born as a killer, one who had killed for the first time. Xilo's first victim had been his best friend, or at least someone who he had considered it in the past. He had done it simply so he could restart without anyone knowing the true him. His second death had been caused by the women who sat next to him. She had showed him the error of his ways removed the blood colored filter he had saw through. It made him aware of just how much like his father he had become during those earlier times. Even now he felt as though he was bathed in the blood of hundreds that could never be washed off.

"Don't mind my brooding, I was simply thinking about my father and his experiments. The land just reminds me of where we lived and I got caught up in the memories." He lied but keeping a straight face. He had just thought about his father and the land did match the countryside of Naboo so it wasn't a complete lie. "Glad to see you made it back out of the nether. Though I do still wonder whatever happened to that entity that caused the whole ordeal." Xilo said while he set the wine bottle down and began to straighten himself back out as they finally came to a stop before the farm.

"Long passed away and gone now, with some luck." Whoever Akala was, Ayra was glad to know that she was gone. According to Pandeima, she had been involved in the final decision as to what happened to her. Whilst they shared the same sentiments, the destruction of Corellia was not in the Sith Lord's ideals. She wanted to free the galaxy of men and other beings, not destroy it. Her war was against the ideals of life, not the nature of the universe.

The vehicle came to a stop outside a wooden gate. A wooden palisade surrounded the farm house. Crops stretched in every mile. When Alicia exited the car, she noticed that the crops were discoloured. It was safe to assume that they were a bad. Bad harvests were disastrous. She made a note of it to bring it up with the farm owner when she met with him.

"Stay here Xilo," Alicia said, turning to face her accomplice. Nodding her head to him, she then turned to the gate and opened it, walking up the path to the farm house door. Half way making her way up the path, a Human man appeared. Although Xilo could not hear the conversation that ensued between Alicia and the man, it was safe to assume that he had come out to investigate who they were. Two minutes later, the two of them disappeared into the house.

"With all the things that happen in this galaxy, it won't be to long till something goes wrong once again." Xilo said sounding somewhat pessimistic, but considering everything that had happened so far he may be on the right track. Coming to a stop outside the gate Xilo couldn't help but whistle when he saw the home. It seemed that it was simple, just the bare necessities, instead of the homes you saw on a planet like Coruscant. This one was just simple which had its own appeal to some people. It even reminded Xilo of home. He had been prepared to exit the vehicle with Arya, but as she told him to stay in the speeder his head whipped around giving the women a confused look, but he simply raised his hands and closed the door. He would trust her, he said he would so he sat back and watched her and the man chat.

As Arya and the farmer entered the house Xilo looked over at the driver. How he sat there all calm and cool, there was no point in spying on Arya as the driver would probably just tell her. So instead Xilo leaned back against the seat and let himself sink into the darkside of the force. It was like submerging himself in fire as his eyes closed and his body began to relax. It burned, but it was a bearable burn now. It fueled him, but this time he used it to increase his senses so he could feel the living beings in the force. He felt the drivers presence and Arya's along with the farmer but he kept it open just in case.

Sylas Grog had been a farmer for the majority of his life. His father had run the farm before him and his father before him as well. It was a family business. They had come from Empress Teta, but fled from the Krath during the Four-Hundred Year Darkness. Even then, they had managed to keep the farm up and running. With the dissipation of the Gulag virus during the final years of Sylas's father, it bore the beginning of a time in Sylas's family where they could finally do something with the farm.

With the galactic incident brought about by Akala's attack, Sylas had suffered great losses, both financially and emotionally. He had lost his wife and daughter in the disaster, unknowing of what had happened to them during the great disappearance. His son had left the farm and Chandrila for parts unknown. The last he had heard of him was that he had ventured out to Hutt space, making Sylas fear the worse.

Several farm hands who had worked for him had also disappeared. A strange occurrence had also happened when one of his fields had inexplicably caught fire, burning his crops in the process. The local authority in Emita had promised to bail him out and help him get his farm back on his feet with a series of loans. But they hadn't come and subsequently, Sylas didn't have the help that needed.

He knew who Alicia Drey was and their family. Chandrila DataTech had supplied him with the tractor twenty years ago. Sylas explained that he was sorry for Alicia's loss, in which she said that they could relate. The story of the Drey murders had international news, making Alicia a celebrity. After the exchange of stories, Alicia proposed a contract for Sylas to sign, where she detailed her estimates and expectations. She would help rejuvenate Sylas Grog and his farm, explaining that he deserved another chance at a happy life. He signed the contract.

With Sylas Grog and his farm safely acquired for Chandrila Group, Alicia departed his home, folding the Lenoi closed as she exited. She made her way down the path and back to the car. The drive already had the door opened for her by the time she reached the gate. She thanked him and explained the directions as to where they would be going next. Alicia climbed back inside and the driver closed the door.

As he walked around to start the vehicle back up, Alicia passed the Lenoi over to Xilo to examine. "Tell me what you think of this contract," she asked as the driver started the engines and pulled away from Sylas Grog's farm for the next one.

Xilo stretched his senses across the farmland feeling no presences at all which is rare and off for a farm, but before he knew it Alicia was on her way back out. Sitting back up and breaking the meditation he watched her approach the car with the datapad in her hand. It wasn't one he had personally seen before, and after her talking about owning Datatech he assumed it was some prototype, or datapad he had yet to buy. Nothing to eventful seemed to have happened and from the way Alicia walked and carried herself things had to have worked out. "If I had known I'd be consulting I would've brought my buissness glasses." Xilo joked as he examined the datapad.

Yet what he saw was truly confusing. Not in the sense that he didn't understand it, but in terms why would anyone sell the rights to their farm for that low. Scanning down he saw exactly why the farmer had sold out like he had. Even that low of a percentage could mean thousands if not more in terms of credits added upon what he would receive monthly. "If you're asking my opinion of the deal... I think its fair in some terms, but in the end that could've been credits that we could of kept for ourselves. Even if only a fraction of a percent it could still mean thousands of credits if the company does well enough. Of course you have to give some type of incentive for them to actually go through the deal... In the end either way it goes whether you increase the payout every month and get rid of the incentive, or keep it the same we could still loose money. Not to mention we will be providing personnel that we have to pay not him. Though this way may be easier in the long run and will appeal to the farmers." Xilo said handing the datapad back.

Farm land and trees passed by the vehicle, as Alicia and Xilo were driven to their next destination. When he was finished reading the contract she had proposed to Sylas Grog, Alicia folded it closed and concealed it back within her designer jacket.

"The thirty thousand I paid Sylas was a necessary investment. In the world of business, you need wealth in order to create it. It is an oxymoron, but that is the system that we follow. The five hundred I will pay him monthly is a fair wage for his work and the 0.1% that he will receive on the profits that Chandrila Group makes is minor in comparison to the other 99.9%."

"Whereas I have lost thirty thousand, plus the five hundred I will pay him monthly and the 0.1% of profits that Chandrila Group will make, I have gained an employee with experience at growing and harvesting crops and livestock, who knows how to run a farm and I am now the owner of his land. I am free to terminate our contract at any time after I file to the local authority to name me as owner of his land once we make it back to Emita."

"The personnel that will be recruited and sent to work for Sylas will learn from him and gain the experience that he has over the course of the next few months. In time, I have the option of finding one of those employees that fulfill the role that Sylas currently occupies. I can then promote that person to fulfill Sylas's role and terminate his contract."

"I also have the option of using you or someone else to eliminate Sylas, in the event that he tries to uphold the termination of his contract in court. He is a lonely, old man who lost his family from a series of disasters that have affected him and his farm. It is plausible then that Sylas Gorg decided to commit suicide due to the grief he felt for the loss of his wife and daughter."

"I have all these options because I had the wealth and resources to persuade Sylas into signing this contract and subsequently I have the power to end his life in a number of ways. The trick is not to draw attention to these options through manipulation and diversion. An hour ago, Sylas Gorg was facing bankruptcy. One hour later, he is thirty thousand credits richer, has a paying job and his farm will be rejuvenated from his new investor. He will have the help he needs to begin farming again."

"To motivate a man to do something for you can be done in two ways: fear or hope. An hour ago Sylas had fear but now he has hope and because of this I have the first farm in my pocket. Now we do the same with the next."

Alicia turned and selected a bottle of mineral water from the in built fridge. She unscrewed the cap and took three long swigs of water to quench her thirst.

The way Arya talked about the plan showed Xilo just how far ahead his master had thought on the whole situation. He had never even thought of replacing the man, it was genius. Then they wouldn't have to deal with all the same expenses as with Sylas. They could probably pay the personnel less and make off with more money in the future. Scratching the white stubble that was growing on his chin Xilo nodded his head and continued to listen to Arya. There was a reason she had survived so long in the galaxy, and the more Xilo listened he realized why. She knew when to be ruthless, and she knew the times to flip the coin becoming a monster. She had mastered hiding her true intentions and that deserved whatever respect Xilo could offer.

"You're right in many ways Arya. I can truly learn much from you. I finally see it now... But there are another two things that can motivate people. Love and power. Whether it be a love of money, a love for justice or a love for battle it can motivate many. Power seems to be what motivates us don't you think? Wanting the power to change the galaxy? Power to rid ourselves of the ones who stand in our way... The power to change the past." Xilo said looking down at his lap as he pondered on what Arya had said. Even if she didn't mean to she was teaching the young man and he was absorbing the information like a sponge. He didn't even reach down to pick up the wine. He had lost interest in it and found more of it in deciphering what Arya was saying to him.
