Alicia screwed the cap closed on the bottle of water and placed it back into the fridge. The explanation behind her business strategy in regards to Sylas Gorg and his farm was not only to explain the dynamics of business and how best to come out on top, but to test Xilo on how the same concept could be applied to other things as well. Murder was a tool that could be used in a number of situations, but it necessarily wasn't always the best option and there was other ways to get what you wanted.
Killing someone tended to lead to questions. The trick was to appear as small as possible. If you are small, then you are overlooked, forgotten or underestimated. It was one of the more subtle powers of the dark side. Deception and manipulation could be just as powerful as a Force Maelstrom or technique with a Lightsaber, which Darth Ayra was capable of doing.
Although she had not taken Xilo under her apprenticeship, it would help her decision to in deciding whether or not to take the young man under her wing and take him on under that capacity. You can walk up to any person and convince them to become your apprentice. Ayra was confident that if she was to offer this to Xilo at that moment, he would accept. But what use was an apprentice if he never fully appreciated his role?
Xilo required to be broken in a many different ways before an apprenticeship was possible. On Coruscant, Ayra had displayed her power in the dark side of the Force through a physical manifestation, thus changing his life forever. On Chandrila, she would show him that the galaxy could be attacked in a different and far more effective way. Through the use of business and economics, their enemies could be undone from afar, without knowledge of who or what was attacking them.
To have a mind of a serial killer coupled with the training, ideology and belief of a Sith was a powerful thing. On Kursid, Darth Ayra had slaughtered over a hundred men in a single day and night. By morning rise, covered in the blood of her victims, she satisfied the monster inside her, rejuvenated and ready to return to the galaxy. Her training had allowed her to set her mind away from the futility of a serial killer; away from the selfish desire to merely kill for your own devices; and instead put it together to changing the galaxy forever, in a way only a Sith Lord could.
Would Xilo Gale become something akin to the woman that sat next to him? It remained to be seen. Subtly, however, Ayra was setting him up for the transformation. Perhaps one day, together, they would pay homage to the Sith code.
The car came to a stop outside the second farm, three hours after leaving Sylas Gorg. As the driver moved around to open up the cars doors, Alicia leaned forward to retrieve her bottle of water. She unscrewed it, took a drink and closed it again before exiting the vehicle. "I will be back soon," Alicia said to Xilo before turning to make her way up to acquire her second farm for Chandrila Group.
