There were a lot of worlds that Barrien had never been to in the galaxy. Ylix was one of them. After discovering the peril of Islimore, and the similarities between it and his homeworld of Oaken Dawn, he needed somewhere quieter to spend some time and think. He could have chosen any world, maybe even gone back to Dagobah, but again he heeded the call of the Force and allowed it to bring him to the temperate world within Imperial space. It made him slightly uncomfortable to be within their space, given his history with the Empire, but these were not the same Imperials that held dominion over his home. Those were an old breed, descended from the Galactic Empire. These were different, more honorable, more discerning.
Here he found a sparsely populated world, with plenty of space for him to explore in solitude. Though he was not an imperial citizen, he was allowed on the world because he held no ties to any specific order and made assurances he would cause no trouble. As proof, he left his lightsaber with the port authority and ventured out solely with the Force to guide him and the armor on his person.
He journeyed the countryside in search of a place where the Force called to him. When he found it, it was the middle of an open field of prairie grass that rose to roughly knee height. The heads of the grass were wild and swayed in the breeze, which cooled him. It was a pleasant feeling under the circumstances. To make it even more so, he took off the armor that covered his upper body, and set it aside atop the cape attached to it. This left his scarred, muscular body exposed, but he enjoyed the feeling of the sun on his skin and the air that blew upon him. Kneeling down upon the ground, he steepled his hands with fingers pointed downwards, closed his eyes, and allowed the Force to draw him inward.
Little did he know that he would not be alone.
