It was time to push away, and this time with a happier smile. Whoever this "Jack" was, he meant no ill will towards Serina, and vice versa - and if the announcement was to be believed, he was a bit of a good luck charm. He allowed himself to relax, which was dangerous during his time off, as that usually foretold a shootout, a case to blip on his datapad, or some other cruel joke that the Force was keen to play on him... but for now, it simply signalled his return to the pools, sliding in less like a grumpy crocodilian and more of a creature who found that his territory was devoid of rivals or predators.

Goodness, listen to yourself. She's not your "territory", she's just... a fascinating woman. Trayze reminded himself as he allowed the waters.

As of now, he was content to remain blissfully crowd-watching, having neither desire, nor being tactless enough to intrude on the majority Jedi (with potentially vocal minority entrepreneurial types) crowd. Although, he would reluctantly keep his eye on his "fellow Sith" and the orange haired lass who she was building tension with.

So long as his "peer" wouldn't conduct herself in a clownish matter, Trayze felt no reason to interfere in the circus.

A smile fully revealed itself at his words.

Her mood lifted by the almost playful back and forth this man afforded her. Or it was the spice that she'd had finally kicking in. A thought she didn't chase down the rabbit hole and instead allowed herself to enjoy.

Watching him intently as he rolled to address her and share his experiences with the devaronian masseur as she let her eyes find the mentioned being.

A nod in response to the wave the masseur offered as she looked back to Xandyr.

"Oh." Interest fully centered on the man now as she sat across from him on her own chair and leaned against the tilted head rest.

"Niki." Smile growing slightly as she accepted his offered hand. "Owner of Priddy General Engineering and Manufacturing."

Letting her touch linger as fingers traced the inside of his palm. Eyes losing their sharp glare as she continued.

"I haven't had the honor of meeting a companion prior." Shifting to get comfortable while still looking at him. "Glad I decided to venture out today, or I might have missed out."

A pause only lasting long enough for her wariness to fade just a little more and be replaced with something almost foreign to her now.

"Aside from find out you have muscles you have been ignoring, what else does a companion do on their time off?'

Cora swept her gaze over Ezorea's fine robes with a discerning eye. She made a quiet hum of approval.

"Your family knows their trade well."

The waiter returned with her glass of Alderaanian Red. Cora thanked him with a tilt of her head before placing her order for a pan-seared nuna breast. Unless the waiter's attention was required by Ezorea, he would quickly disappear.

Cora lifted the glass of wine, swirling it gently in her grasp. One finely manicured blonde eyebrow rose.

"I suppose there is elegance in simplicity."

She took a cursory sip of wine, letting the smooth berry taste linger on her tongue before swallowing.

"Grandmaster Noble tells me that you're interested in joining the New Jedi Order. What attracted your curiosity?"

"Did I fall hard?"

It was a question he spoke aloud before he really thought about it. Aris blinked slowly as he glanced to Zaiya. His ears heated up again, but he made no other comment on it. He wasn't too sure if he had, but.. It felt like it, didn't it? It certainly made him happy to think he had at any rate. He walked with Zaiya to the table, then pulled out her chair for her.

That's what he read online that he was supposed to do.

Once she was seated he did the same, shrugging a little. "Steaks, I think? In a way we're trying the refined version of a burger. .. Actually think they have burgers? One of those classy kinds? That could be fun to try." It was their agreement after all. The basis of their friendship when they first met, to try all the Galaxy's burgers. He smiled faintly, though, paused as he heard his name called over the intercom.

And Zaiya's.

".. Did we just win speeders?"

"I haven't had the honor of meeting a companion prior." Shifting to get comfortable while still looking at him. "Glad I decided to venture out today, or I might have missed out."

Xandyr offered a genuine smile. He glanced down at the palm of his hand as she drew back. He settled himself comfortably again.

"Oh it is hardly a honour," he brushed off politely. "Although particularly rare to find one of us out and off duty."

"Aside from find out you have muscles you have been ignoring, what else does a companion do on their time off?'

"That is an excellent question. I will let you know when I have worked it out. I haven't taken a real break for almost nine months. I might go back into the sauna and think on it."

The devaronian arrived, waving for Niki to lie on her front.

"Your company has been producing some serious starships recently?" Xandyr asked. As a companion, he had to be comfortable in the company of the elite and wealthy from day to day. His recent work had required a more in depth knowledge of commercial movements.

Once was an anomaly, twice is a coincidence, three time's a pattern - roughly twelve raised far too many red flags. A few names he recognized, the Jedi that escorted "Miss Velvet", the surname "Noble", and the Geonosian Archduke were among them.

Far too many people and Jedi for a karking crotch-rocket. the Kiffar grimly concluded, this was either the most annoying coincidence yet, or potentially a means of corralling disparate parties in one room for one reason or another. Perhaps he could stagger his entrance, go under the cover of crowds, grab his winnings and get out. But the curiosity... no, he needed to resist, he needed to get away-

But either way, he would have to get out of the water, dry up, and hope to Bogan that nobody among the winners would attempt make small talk with him.

"Coincidences don't exist, do they?"

Serina barely had time to process the sudden shift in momentum before she felt Jack's hand clasp around hers—firm, determined, and entirely unacceptable.

One moment, she had been striding forward in complete control, her dignity restored, her composure absolute.

And the next?

She was being dragged through the resort like some helpless waif, her gloved fingers wrapped in his grip as he all but sprinted toward the exhibit hall—giddy as a child on Life Day.

For a long moment, she said nothing—not out of shock, nor out of outrage, but because her mind refused to compute the absurdity of what was happening.

Jack Wright, stoic Jedi, veteran soldier, the man who had once lectured her about the dangers of impulsivity

Was dragging her across the Obelisk like an overgrown youngling because of a speeder.

The sheer comedy of it was almost enough to be admirable.

Almost.

"Jack!" she finally snapped, voice half scandalized, half breathless, struggling to keep pace in her elegantly heeled boots—because of course she had chosen style over practicality. "Unhand me this instant!"

He did not.

If anything, his grip tightened as he practically beamed, barreling forward with the glee of a man who had just seen the most sacred relic of his childhood made real.

Serina, Darth Malak plushie still tucked under her arm, was left with two choices.

  1. Fight him, dig her heels into the marble floors, make an absolute scene and risk drawing attention to herself in a manner that would complicate everything.
  2. Accept the madness, let him have his moment, and file this humiliation away for future, delicious revenge.
She exhaled sharply through her nose, lips curling into a deep scowl as she reluctantly chose the latter.

"I swear to every Sith Lord in history," she hissed under her breath, "if this ends with me standing in line for some ridiculous raffle"

Her cape flared behind her, boots clicking against the pristine floors, as she was forcibly inducted into whatever nonsense this Jedi had deemed worthy of forsaking all dignity.

And as they burst through the entrance of the exhibit hall, greeted by the blazing sight of a pristine landspeeder on full display, Serina—against all better judgment—realized something horrifying.

Jack Wright was having the time of his life.

And worse?

Somewhere, deep down, she might have been enjoying this, too.

And his own SHIP, too? Life Day has come early!

Arriving with trepidation into the vast, stuffing Exhibit Hall, Jack wasted no time in turning in his ticket for the prizes, where the receptionist pointed in the direction of his prizes. Giddily hurrying over with almost a spring in his step.

A landspeeder? Eh, he could get some good races out of it, he supposed.

But what really caught Jack's attention was the larger vessel, and what a beauty. With the biggest grin imaginable, the Jedi stepped back besides Serina, soaking in the prized, hopefully-fuelled vessel, making a framed motion with his hands after pulling up his shades, closing one eye as he envisioned it.

Making good use of his prize, "What do you think? Blue stripes down the middle of the hull?" Not so much as asking for the Dark Jedi's opinion as much as validating his own. "Maybe I could turn it into a cruise ship for passengers."

"Coincidences don't exist, do they?"

Serina stood beside him, arms folded, one brow arched high, her expression a blend of dry amusement and incredulous disbelief as she regarded both Jack and his newly acquired vessel.

Not because she wasn't impressed—no, far from it. The ship itself was respectable, a sleek, well-crafted model that could certainly serve as more than just a pleasure cruiser.

No, what truly gave her pause was the absolute, childlike glee radiating from Jack Wright as he gazed upon his prize like it was the crown jewel of the New Jedi Order.

She sighed, long and suffering, then tilted her head just slightly, calculating, assessing the true potential of his winnings.

And, with her signature blend of professionalism, licitious cunning, and pure, unfiltered mockery, she began.

"Oh, darling," she purred, stepping forward just enough to gracefully circle the ship, gloved fingers trailing delicately along the hull as she regarded it with undeniable interest.

"Forget blue stripes—do you have any idea how many war crimes you could commit with this?"

She pivoted, locking eyes with him, and ticked off her fingers.

One.

"Piracy." Her voice was silken, businesslike, as if discussing simple logistics. "Now, technically, you could brand it as a luxury transport, but let's not lie to ourselves, Jack. A vessel like this? Perfectly sized for covert operations. Just a little retrofit—hidden compartments, upgraded engines, maybe a few ion cannons—and you could be running black-market spice before the Alliance even suspects a thing."

Two.

"Blockade running." She gestured loosely, as if already envisioning it in motion. "Oh, it's fast enough, isn't it? Small, unassuming. Just imagine—swooping through Imperial space, brazenly ferrying fugitives, contraband, or high-value prisoners under their very noses."

Three.

"Orbital bombardment," she continued, tone matter-of-fact. "Now, now—before you protest, let's consider the possibilities. Suppose you happened to acquire a few torpedo launchers, purely for defensive measures, of course." She smirked, voice dropping to a slow, deliberate tease. "And then, suppose you… accidentally fire them at a military installation. Or a city. Oops."

Four.

She paused, tapping her chin with a mock-thoughtful expression, before flashing him a sharp, wicked grin.

"…Sentient trafficking."

She held his gaze, unblinking, for just long enough to watch and see if the horrified realization dawned in his hazel eyes—before laughing, musical, velvety, and entirely wicked.

"Oh, I'm kidding, Jack." A beat. A smirk. "Mostly."

Five.

"Planetary extortion," she continued, unfazed, already moving to inspect the cockpit with keen interest. "You show up in orbit, broadcast some ominous-sounding threats, and demand resources, credits, and fealty. If they refuse, well—you have a ship now, don't you? And really, who's going to stop you?"

Six, now moving to her other hand.

"Unofficial diplomatic meddling." She turned back, folding her arms, tone becoming mockingly authoritative. "Picture it, Jack. You roll into some mid-tier Naboo Republic system, pose as an Alliance representative, then negotiate a deal that is—how shall we say—profitable for yourself. Forge a few documents, name-drop some Jedi Masters, and bam—instant authority."

She smirked, hands lifting slightly.

"I could go on, but I think you get the idea."

A pause, before she finally tilted her head, eyes lidded with amusement.

"So tell me, dear," she murmured, stepping just a touch closer, voice dropping into something smooth, honeyed, and undeniably teasing. "Are we still talking about a passenger ship? Or are you finally realizing your potential?"

Because for all her mockery, for all her playful wickedness, there was a certain truth beneath it all.

This wasn't just some prize.

This was an opportunity.

And Jack Wright—for all his high-minded Jedi morals—was far too clever not to see it.

There was a long-lasting silence. Only to be broken by...

"You're right," Jack suddenly purred, caressing his stubble as if in deep thought, the makings of an intoxicating grin emerged over his youthful features, contemplating the possibilities as Serina suggested.

...Only to that throw an arm around her wait, pull the Sith-wannabe in, and cheerfully announce with an exaggerated wave up to the beautiful ship.

"Indoor swimming pool, they've always been vastly superior to outdoor ones, less dirt to clean out!" The Jedi Knight finished, waggling his brows with the most teasing, heartfelt smile.

At her expression, he scoffed playfully and pushed her off, shrugged as if in a 'Suit yourself.'

Interacting with: Aris Noble Aris Noble

Aris' ears were red. Again.

Zaiya didn't know what she'd said to make that happen this time, but she was starting to like this little discovery. A lot. Her mottled stripes shimmered with an impish flicker of cyan as she sat after he offered her a seat, watching him like she was studying a puzzle she was determined to solve.

Unfortunately, it seemed that Aris had taken her quip to mean something else entirely, and it went over Zaiya's head.

Was the idea of her taking him down in a spar causing this reaction? Maybe. He did get all serious about that kind of thing. But before she could press further, the overhead announcement rang through the dining hall, elegant and refined...

And saying that they had both just won a speeder!

Zaiya blinked. Then again. Her mouth opened, but nothing came out. Instead, an awkward, sputtering flicker of confused luminescence rippled over her skin, like her emotions couldn't quite decide what to do with themselves.

"I… think we did?" she managed, voice a little higher than usual. They won something? She never won things. And a speeder? Not just a coupon or a free meal, but an actual speeder?!

Excitement shot through her, her stripes flashing a brilliant streak of orange, but before she could fully celebrate something very important raced through her mind.

She leaned forward even further, getting close, her opal blue eyes gleaming bright as she lowered her voice into a hushed, conspiratorial whisper.

"They're not gonna take them back if they figure out we're minors, right?"

Because that would be so embarrassing. Winning a speeder only to get it snatched away because they weren't technically old enough to register it.

That would be a whole new level of cruel.

"Coincidences don't exist, do they?"

There were many moments in Serina Calis' life when she had been forced to question the sanity of the galaxy.

This, however, might have been the first time she genuinely questioned her own.

For several long, agonizing seconds, she remained perfectly still—frozen in Jack's spontaneous, blindingly cheerful half-embrace, his arm slung low around her waist like some carefree lover on holiday, as he declared his grand, earth-shattering intention:

An. Indoor. Swimming. Pool.

Her expression—once calculated, poised, vaguely impressed—shifted into something that could only be described as absolutely flabbergasted.

"An… indoor pool?" she repeated, as if tasting the words, unsure if she'd heard him correctly or perhaps had a microstroke.

Jack simply grinned harder, eyebrows waggling with that infuriating, boyish charm, before he gave her a playful shove and sauntered off like he hadn't just squandered the potential for galactic tyranny.

Serina stared after him.

Stared.

Stared.

Then, slowly, her eyes narrowed to glittering slits, like the edge of a blade just before it strikes.

"I list six perfectly viable options for war profiteering and planetary subjugation," she said aloud, more to herself than to him, "and you choose hydraulics and tile maintenance."

The Darth Malak plushie under her arm stared blankly ahead, as if judging her life choices right alongside her.

She exhaled, long and slow, pinching the bridge of her nose with a gloved hand.

"By the Force," she muttered, "I've aligned myself with a sentient beach towel."

And yet…

The corner of her mouth twitched.

Just slightly.

Because as absurd as it all was—his grins, his pool obsession, his refusal to seize power even when it practically paraded itself naked in front of himJack Wright remained the only person in the galaxy who could pull her into this madness and make her follow.

With a dramatic sigh, she caught up, falling into step beside him.

"You realize," she said dryly, flicking a glance sideways, "that if I ever commandeer that ship, the pool is being converted into a Sith alchemy chamber."

A pause. Then, as she nudged him gently with her shoulder, she added in a low, velvety whisper:

"Complete with acid baths."

Because if she had to suffer this fool, then by the stars, he was going to suffer right back.

Ran blushed teal under her green skin. She didn't know she snored. Nobody had ever told her she did. Not that many were ever around to witness it. Her embarrassment at her sleep habits didn't last long though as the bundle of joy known as Aileni was put into her arms.

Ran supported the baby's head and rocked him in her arms. Aileni squirmed and danced but Ran held him firmly. The baby seemed to have a big smile on its face as it bounced barely looking at Ran. When the baby did finally look up at the green skinned woman holding him he appeared to marvel at her before grabbing at her face with the reckless abandon of a child not used to its own body.

"You are so cute. You are so cute. You look just like your mom, you do." Ran's voice softened, and held a playful tone as she whispered to the baby and then almost went back to normal when talking to Dreidi. There was still a softness, but who couldn't help speaking softly while holding a baby. Ran laughed at Dreidi's sleeping in the Archive joke, but the question still struck her. "My own family?" Ran echoed. "I've actually never considered it," Ran continued and wondered why. Technically she was a woman in her prime, it'd be a great time to do it barring the current galactic conflict.

Ran looked back to Aileni as he drooled from a silly face in her arms. "I suppose because I still feel very young and inexperienced when it comes to this aspect of life." Aileni made bubbling noises as Ran went on. "I had only broken free of the Sith mind control that ruled the majority of my life less than a galactic decade ago. My life is filled with mundane firsts everyday, from playing schoolyard games with the padawans, to having tea and cake with friends. The Sith designed me for war, not peace. Destruction, not creation. It was intended for me to bring death, not life."

A single tear shed as she stared down at Aileni's face. In that moment he was everything she doubted she could aspire to. "I suppose I've already proved that intention wrong by becoming a Jedi, but there are still some days I struggle to feel more like the compassionate woman I've become and less like the unfeeling mutant machine they created me to be." Her eyes glowed with the dark side influence of all the Sith science and sorcery that had been inflicted upon her body and mind.

Aileni, sensitive in the force already, began to cry and so did Ran. Aileni wailed but Ran was silent. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make him cry." Ran said raggedly in a low moment. She gave Aileni back to Dreidi and wiped the tears from her eyes.

Then an announcement that Ran and Dreidi had won a raffle interrupted and turned her crying frustration into a crying laughter. It was a silly sequence of events from an honest low moment in a bathing suit to winning a set of starships in a raffle, and Ran hoped that Dreidi would laugh with her.

"I suppose we'll have to pick up our winnings later." She could barely get through the sentence without cracking up in laughter.

The looks he was getting were inwardly hilarious. Some “He’s REALLY THAT big!”, some “That’s a LOT of food!”, and of course some were “FREE MEAL!” None were as hilarious as the Vanguard’s look at Caltin as his name was called in a raffle… well “his” name anyway.

You’re “Alfie”? Well congratulations! Caltin knew full well that he wasn’t. He makes it his business to know of all of the Jedi in charge of his nephew’s education in the Force. Valery was just giving the whole thing a laugh, which was very much “her”. She will no doubt be happy to see that her boy won a speeder, not only that, judging from the way the kid grows like a weed on growth hormones, it was the right one for him to fit in.

The big man was in the middle of handling the steaks when he overheard the conversation about trading everything in for their steaks and practically spit out his iced caf in held back laughter. He picked the right place for a webisode… which they were cutting back to.

Welcome back to "Cooking With Caltin" we’re coming to you live from the “Nova” Steakhouse here in the Obelisk Vacation Resort and having a great time cooking for everyone free of charge!

Caltin looked right at the GAL Ltd. CFO as he said that.

He was of course busy multi-tasking between the grill and side orders as were many of his staff. It’s time for the final two raffles of the night… the big ones! First is the "Sunshower' Luxury Yacht, this thing is a beauty, she can float and operate in water, air and space. Caltin was busy plating the dishes for the two Jedi in front of him as one of the producers held the name in front of him. He looked at it, smirked, and nodded.

She’s right there. Ladies and Gentlemen… the winner of the "Sunshower' Luxury Yacht is none other than ANOTHER patron to this restaurant. Valery Noble Valery Noble . The producer looked back and forth between the New Jedi Order Grandmaster and the host, and he shrugged. You pulled the tag… anyway, congratulations Valery! This is another awesome win!

Taking a moment to personally lay the plates in front of Valery and “Alfie”, before moving on to lay plates in front of other visitors. The producer then turned to the host and the Grandmaster, a playful smile spreading across his face. "Looks like we're in for another round of surprises tonight," he said, winking at the host. "Who knows what other surprises are in store?"

Caltin just looked at him like he had three heads. ... alright… it’s time for the BIG prize. This is for free vacations for life. Now, this isn’t like ownership of a cabin on the Dreamweaver… congratulations again to @Shan Pavond… by the way… he’s a good guy… anyway… this is a free vacation, for the rest of your life,, all you have to do is call for reservations… that winner is… Ezorea Zethussaln Ezorea Zethussaln . Thank you to everyone who participated, and if you did not win anything. Don’t fret. We “might” have more pop-ups.

With the producer calling “clear”... Caltin and everyone went back to hosting those at the restaurant, cooking up a storm.

Valery smirked over the rim of her wine glass, eyes shimmering with amusement as Alfie stammered through the realization that he had just won a luxury yacht. His reaction was almost too good, the disbelief in his voice, the way his entire persona seemed to momentarily crack under the weight of it. She loved it.

As he pulled out her chair with a dramatic flourish, she smirked, settling into her seat. "Quite the gentleman." She teased lightly, crossing her legs as the menus were placed before them. At his quip about needing to trade in the yacht just to afford a steak, she let out a soft chuckle.

Her gaze only flicked up at his next comment though, something more curious sparking in her expression.

She tilted her head slightly, watching him with a slight grin before setting her glass down with deliberate slowness. "Oh?" she murmured, resting her chin lightly on her knuckles, the edge of a smirk playing at her lips. "A woman like me, hm? What kind of woman am I, Alfie?" She let the words linger, giving him a chance to explain himself. Whatever answer he came up with, she was sure it would be interesting.

Finally, after a beat, she chuckled and leaned back in her chair. "I just needed some time alone to clear my head, I suppose. The opening seemed fun, and well—" she gestured vaguely toward the restaurant, the energy, the absurdity of it all. "I wasn't wrong."

And then, Caltin spoke again.

Valery's eyes flicked toward the larger-than-life Jedi, already expecting another raffle announcement. She wasn't expecting to hear her own name. For a moment, she just blinked. Then, slowly, she turned back to Lorn, her lips pressing together like she was trying very hard not to laugh.

"Well," she finally said, lifting her glass in a slow toast. "Seems we're both having a lucky night."

She clinked her glass against his, smirking.

Lily just smirked at the comments from Shan, not going to tease further but she was impressed that he fired back as well as he did. It was good to see and demonstrated that he was in a good mood. Which was important to Lily, she wanted her friend to be happy and content with life in general. Listening, it was interesting to hear the conversation on medicine and the specialisation that one can go down. Lily's aunt was a Force Healer so Lily had limited understanding in the importance of healing and understanding the body to be able to heal the more efficiently.

Sliding the skirt off and resting it over a lounge chair, Lily slid into the hot tub in her bikini and enjoyed the warm waters. The scents of the flowers was a relaxing addition and she smiled. This was a nice comfort and Lily could see why people enjoyed using one after a rough training regime and letting the warmth relax their bodies.

"Fair, it can be a comfort to see home, even if it doesn't stand out amongst the other stars. At least I found it a comfort when I first left Eshan." Lily mentioned to Tasia, "well, I am sure there will be more nebulae and the like to see in the future. There are plenty of space stations and asteroids to visit." Lily mentioned since she knew that some Jedi just loved to travel and see the galaxy as much as they could. So encouraging that desire was something Lily was more than happy to do.

Tilting her head as she remembered that first meeting, "well, it does not help that you were not approving of my native tongue. Felt very rude." Lily gave a fake pout but grinned soon after to Shan.

Shan just kept his hands in his pockets, as his eyes scanned around the Spa. Admiring the scenery around him more than the actual people. It was how he was as a person to be fair. Listening to Tasia and Lily talk whilst he thought to himself. The sound of the raffle being announced however snapped Shan out of his thoughts, taking a quick glance around.

"Oh. Huh. Guess it's my lucky day. I'll head on over to get my prize soon I suppose."
He wasn't much of a landspeeder fan, considering he'd rather work on moving using his own two legs, but hey. It made transport a lot easier on certain planets now. Long distance travelling would be a lot less of a hassle for him now. Especially if he had to go and deliver supplies on some far off worlds. Wait. No. Bad Shan. He shouldn't be thinking about work right now. He should be focused on relaxing.

"Hm? Well, I will admit, I was wrong for not approving of it. People are allowed to communicate in any way they wish."

It might have been more of a teasing comment from Lily, but Shan fully admitted his own fault in that situation. He had been far more judgemental as a Padawan than he would care to admit. Judging the Echani and Mandalorians for their culture. It was thanks to Lily however alongside Jenn that he had figured out how wrong his beliefs had been. As he opened his mouth to speak, once again another announcement came...with his name. And another prize.

"...Okay. I think that's a sign I should go and get my prizes now. I'll probably get stuck in the line again when I get back, so if I don't show up...That's why."

With that, he jabbed his thumbs behind himself and headed off to go and get his new prizes!
