No, it's basically black lead, it won't become crystal.

I'm not opposed to it being alloyed though.

Character rewards cannot be transferred from one character to another, they must be used by that character. The only exception is if the character dies or is retired it may be transferred to a new character. Such a thing should be recorded in this thread or via a PM to myself.

You may create a new character which can use the reward, but you cannot shift it to another existing alt.

For the people or factions with unclaimed rewards (as a writer I have two rewards but claimed none of them), under Factory 4.0 (and Codex 2.0) rules, some of the reward options are mooted: what will those new options be?
