On the Prowl (Joza Perl)

Khalan flinched as the bacta made contact with his flesh. His wound got cleaned up and was already healing pretty fast. He'd be another four hours till he can come out good as new. Dekann flew to Joza's side, cawing softly as he watched his master twitch and flinch in the bacta tank.

Joza smiled softly at Dekann, patting the bird on the head gently. "Don't worry, he'll be fine. He seems tough." She glanced back at Khalan and extended her pheromones toward him in an attempt to help him relax, though she was unsure if it would work. After a while she would end up laying down on the table, having fallen asleep.

Khalan felt a strange, calming... warmth. It soothed him; made him flinch a lot less. After just a few minutes he stopped moving entirely, his chest slowly rising and falling. He eased his grip on the wires, eventually letting go. The bacta added onto the relief, the wound healing much much faster now.

Before she’d fallen asleep, Joza reached out with her empathetic capabilities to see if her pheromones were working. A light smile tickled the Zeltron’s face when she felt Khalan relax, content that at least she was able to do something after her failure as a healer. After several hours she would awaken, a small groan leaving her mouth after realizing that she’d fallen asleep. Squinting through the sleep in her eyes, she glanced over at the bacta tank to assess his wound.

Khalan's wound seemed to have vanished, only leaving a small, barely noticeable scar on his stomach. He stirred in the tank, slowly opening his eyes. "Drain the bacta, please."

A look of relief spread across her face at seeing him healed, even if she didn't doubt the healing properties of the bacta. Nodding to his request, she pulled the lever back into position so that the liquid would slowly drain from the tank. "How are you feeling?" She asked, leaning against the table.

Khalan removed the respirator, dropping it in the tank with a thunk. "A lot better, actually. Thank you for asking." He flashed her a smile, before realizing he was in his undergarments. "Excuse me while I go get some clothes."

[member="Joza Perl"]

"Glad to hear it." She returned his smile, glad to see that he seemed to be in better spirits. When he mentioned that he was going to put on clothes, she shrugged with a smirk. "View is fine from where I'm standing."

Her smirk quickly turned into a frown and she walked closer, arms crossed over her chest. "I can imagine that he opened more than just a physical wound...do you know why he's coming for you?"

He sighed deeply, wiping the sweat from his face as he looked to her. "His name is Dorian of clan Calistan. They blame us Fett clan members for their problems. Recently, we've been framed for murdering one of their own... now he's looking to kill every last Fett."

Joza’s brow furrowed at hearing his explanation. “How many of you are there? Is there a safe haven for you to go to?” She waved her hand toward him. “Why don’t you go put on some clothes and we can talk further…”

know what she would do if she’d lost her own mother, short of losing her mind. Treading carefully, she moved so that she was behind him, placing a gentle hand over his enclosed fist and resting her chin on his shoulder. “Try not to let your anger control you…channel it. Use it. But try to not let it consume you.” It probably wasn’t the best advice she could give being a “Jedi”—in fact, it was something she’d heard from a Sith. But to her, it made sense.

In all honesty, her words... no, her touch was soothing. Her flesh was warm, like a comfortable blanket, and her resting her chin on his shoulder made him shudder. He instantly eased his fists, calming down.

She smiled softly as she felt him relax. Being a Zeltron had it's advantages, and even without the pheromones, she knew how to approach people when they were upset having been there herself. Well, she was sure that the pheromones did help.

Moving to stand in front of him, she waited until she could catch his eyes with her own.

"Would you like for me to go make us some tea or caf?"
