Faction-wide OS Tournament
This is the sign-up thread for the OS tournament. All One Sith members of all ranks, FU and NFU alike, are eligible to join. If you wish to participate, post below to let us know!
There will be four separate categories to compete in. All apart from one are divided by rank. They are as follows: Acolytes - Knights - Lords - Force-Free.
The Force-Free category is different from the others in that it is open to everyone. While intended for NFUs, FUs of all ranks may enter. However, they will be cut off from the Force during the entirety of the fight.
The match-ups for the opening rounds will be randomly selected. You do not get to pick your opponents. Ideally, each tournament will consist of different forms of duels. This means that on your way to the final, in addition to the standard 1v1, you may find yourself in a Free-For-All situation, or even a 2v2. However, this will depend largely on how many people sign up.
All fights will have a judge assigned to it. Once your fight has reached a conclusion, and there's a clear winner, announce this in the OOC thread. If no agreement can be reached between the writers in question, the judge will be brought in to make the call. As always, keep it nice and civil to make their jobs easier. Good sportsmanship gets you a long way.
The rules
- Each combatant may bring only two melee weapons. This number has been set above one to not discriminate against Jar'kai users.
- No armour! Bring your Sith robes, your favourite suit, or your casual-Friday outfit, but any armour from light to heavy will not be permitted.
- Have fun! Yes, this is a rule. I command you to enjoy this.
The location
ICly, this tournament ties in with the opening of the Sith Academy of Glee Anselm. The finals will be fought inside the Academy's arena. The opening rounds may also take place here, though this is to be decided. Otherwise, the location of duels will be randomly selected by a judge.
Since there's an area for spectators in the Academy's arena, we are also playing around with the idea of having a thread for spectators. Socialize, place your bets, and such. Is this something you'd be interested in?
Needless to say, when all of this is over, there will be bling.
