Open House (Trade Conglomerate // Open)

Animus gestured the Driver to blast towards a building who housed a small Office Animus used to determine the amount of materials needed for his Shipyard productions. Animus lighted a Death Stick with his Igniter and blew the smoke enjoying the Silence between them watching the trail of smoke dissipate in the speed of the convertible speeder.
He could not hide the smile, laying his Death Stick box in the cupholder with the igniter as a gesture to take one if she wished.
How interesting this pirate was, Animus had never met anyone like her, well Except for an Ewok with a knack for black magic.
Upon arriving Animus stepped out of the Vehicle and again offered the Pirate his hand to steady herself upon, but he fully expect her to be Stoic about it and limp the rest of the walk, still he waited for her to walk beside her, at her pace.
Animus might be an Arrogant, Cruel, Prideful, Self Indulging, Self righteous, Condescending smartass. But he was a gentleman at heart.
Many sith already had called him out, truly his biggest weakness was his sometimes obvious merciful and graceful demeanor... That and the batting eyelashes of women he considered beautiful.
"Indulge me..." Animus said, in a sarcastic way "what are you for?, what do you enjoy?" Animus was truly curious, "Surely you can't be a single minded buffoon like every other run and gun privateer in the ranks, what makes you special? apart from your, obvious abilities"

[member="Althea Raxis"]

[member="Animus Malgus"]

"Single minded? No my friend. I have much bigger plans."

Althea paced the opposite side of the room, stopping now and then to take something from a shelf and examine it. In everything she found the potential for Alchemization. To transform and renew, to make whole or less. Everything could be transformed in some way. Of that she was certain. She peered over her shoulder again, watching the Sith smoke with those intense brown eyes.

"Eventually? I hope to rule the hyperlanes through the mention for my very name. But for now my intentions lay in the realm of Alchemy and gains. I need credits, both for research and for a fleet."

She paused, trying not to let too much of her secrets spill out.

"I have no interest in politics, just in wealth and power. Run and gun types lack vision, discipline. My products and my fleet will one day rule the Void, the places where there are no governments. Immediate needs are a larger ship. Something suitable for taking down larger prey in the waters, as it were. In return for funding and materials? I can offer you first pick of my Alchemized products, making yourselves a very rich trade empire indeed. I can also offer protection against the likes of the Hutts. I'm sure they will come calling, if they haven't already."

Location: Animus Private Office

Animus nodded as he heard the Woman speak of her plans, already an idea emerging into his head. He walked to his desk and sat down, removing his cloak and setting it on the side chair gesturing to her to take a seat. From Sith Warrior to Businessman to Politician. Animus smiled in his Achivements.
"Two Hundred Fifty thousand credits to start. " Animus Said Abruptly, it was a standard starting *loan* per se and he thought it more than enough, having supplied to the Mustafar Lord he did not think the amount out of his reach in any way and not having to as Jaster for it which would be the end of him.

"If you need a ship, i can make you an Armada in the Foresight. My Personal Shipyard that I command and Own." Animus said his chin high and his eyes embedded on the woman. He shot her an evil grin and said "I can make you the most feared Privateer in the Galaxy, my shipyard alone can procure you 300 Frigates after i am done making a batch i am working on right now without a single credit as down payment as i already have all the materials. "

Animus then lost his smile and grimaced, this was the part where he got serious, but instead he nodded in approval "I find your terms agreeable," Animus Used Jaster's words exactly. "You will be a valuable asset to the Trade conglomerate" Animus rose to his feet in a gesture of finality.

"The credits will be awaiting you at your departure" Animus shot her a sly grin "You are now endorsed by the Trade conglomerate beautiful" Animus shot her a wink, and a smile. He wanted to see her smile at least once while not trying to kill him, he would he knew, if not today, then soon. "It will take me two months to create your Armada, once finished, the Republic Fleet itself will have problems dealing with you, in the mean time, i hope you keep me updated." He smiled as he nodded meaning the discussion, unless something else popped up, was over. Animus was half sad, he had used his Charm to no avail before, Animus usually had an Impact on women, Surprisingly this one was all business, he shrugged mentally before saying "Does this deal suit you?"

[member="Althea Raxis"]

[member="Animus Malgus"]

"Indeed the terms are agreeable. If you have a Ship on hand that actually suits my purpose, that would be great as well."

Althea moved towards the table and set down an old piece of parchment. They were old and raggedy. An ancient tradition from a time when Pirates were more rough around the edges. Letters of Marque.

"Sign these documents please. These say that I have legal immunity to raid on behalf of the Conglomerate. Otherwise I'm just another Pirate arent I?"

[member="Althea Raxis"]

Jaster noticed the fight or argument was lasting longer then it needed, the attempts of the dark siders to intimidate one another was weak at best. Jaster was a politician, he wished to bring in those who would protect, fight, or sell, and the best could to all three.

He stood from his chair and walked over to the edge of the stage, "immunity to pirating apon the lanes of the conglomerate can only be passed out by the Viceroy, would you dare disagree in the case of other nations breathing down our neck?"

Jaster made his way to the two and placed his hand out, "[member="Animus Malgus"], you act for the conglomerate and yet you do not ask for permission, a fleet is unacceptable in the eyes of our allies to be handed to random people who say they will support our cause, I do not agree apon these figures unless provided the proof that you can offer what you say."

Animus nodded at the Viceroy "Yes Viceroy, i apologize for my impudence, but with your presence here, perhaps you can carry a more official weight upon the negotiations? " [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"]
Animus stepped towards the Viceroy as to whisper close enough that he could hear him
"This pirate... is not as she seems, she could be a great asset, if you will not grant the Approval of the Conglomerate, then allow me to finance her privately... no one needs to know" Animus paused and reconsidered his words. "But i overstepped my bounds, i figured you too busy with the proceedings to be bothered with the proceedings." Animus Bowed. "I follow your command Viceroy, your word is Law, i will accept any punishment for my insubordination i merely tried to do what was best for the conglomerate, yet without you intervening i could have put the Conglomerate in danger... i was foolish..."

[member="Althea Raxis"]

[member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] [member="Animus Malgus"]

"Oh you misunderstand Viceroy. May I call you that? Tis' not your lanes I'll be preying upon, but those of your competitors."

Althea regarded him from beneath the hat with those looming brown eyes. How quaint, now the Sithling was not so confident that his handler was here Surely he could do better than that. Althea shrugged mentally and approached Jaster.

"My side of the offer still stands. Once I make a few catches, and begin making my items, you're faction can have first pick. In exchange, finance me and produce me a few ships. I do not desire an armada, just a few vessels capable of holding their own against the capital ships of the galaxy."

[member="Althea Raxis"] [member="Animus Malgus"]

Jaster nodded, the man was loyal to the cause, though Jaster didn't have a particular liking to Force Users, he had known that the man was accommodating and quick on the gun. Having a pirate on the payroll was something that would assist Jaster, but in the face of competition and stiff resistance, Jaster could not face such scrutiny after the defeat by the Techno Union.

He looked to the young man who spoke for the Conglomerate, "You were not wrong and deserve no punishment my young friend, but to do such a deal in the presence of the media, something that we as an organization can not face, you were not wrong, and I enjoy her enthusiasm, but to give licenses to pirate is a thing we can not do so lightly as our enemies look for the cracks in our armor,"

He walked to face the women, "Though I can not let you willingly attack ships in the trade lanes we control or those who have no law, I do wish to offer you some compensation to the posistion my Ally had offered, and as such wish to offer you status as Contract Priviteer, to escort and protect our lawless space lanes, we here at the conglomerate have limited ships but will spare our escort groups to assist you to bring civility to parts that carry no law," Jaster winked at the pirate to inform her that this was more of a public speach then a demotion of posistion, just a play of words, "We are pleased to see such a exsperianced individual enter the ranks of our organization and welcome you into the family of the Trade Conglomerate."

Animus crossed his arms in futility... How could they not see the Value of an Armada? Who could stand in the way of it? Animus could arm an Entire fleet that would make the Republic Armada quiver in fear at the mere thought of the Woman, But... Politics... He would not protest the Viceroy. Jaster was, if anything Animus' secret weapon, without him he would be nothing, another Sith Acolyte begging for Tools and scraps to make ends meet. With Jaster, He was now wealthy, and had an Entire Shipyard at his command. What Jaster says goes, period. Still he felt as if their visitor could be so much more than a brigand... a pirate... a mere highway bandit with a few good ships, she could be the terror of the entire Galaxy yet... Animus scoffed mentally at the wasted opportunity. The thought of a massive Armada of Pirates lead by the obviously well trained and deadly Capitan before them just a dream... [member="Althea Raxis"] [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"]

[member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] [member="Animus Malgus"]

"I'm hoping credits were still on the table then? I have no interest in simply defending your interest Vicerpoy, but taking from your enemies. I heard you metnion that other organizations may be a problem? Which ones shall I pay a visit if I may ask?"

She cocked her head slighy and squeezed her fist, allowing a single blade to pop from the recess of her gauntlett. Jaster would get the picture. She was more than just a Pirate and a Witch. Much more....

Althea was quite beginning to get annoyed and turned a wary eye towards Animus. Almost as if to say they would talk later about things. Still she had a mission right now and it could wait much longer. She needed to return to her crew and prepare for the next series of raids.

Ala'Tir

The Lamb In Lion's Clothing
Did Ala'Tir hear that right? Did the owner of the Trade Conglomerate just offer a karking pirate a job as a glorified privateer? He heard all of the exchange happen from the side of the stage, since it was almost his turn to enter the booth. The hidden Gen'Dai approached the trio, with the intent of asking a few questions. Hiring and endorsing pirates....this was why the galaxy was a cesspool, why entire planets were devoted to crime. Somehow, someway, Ala'Tir was convinced that he had to stop this from happening, and point it out to others so they can see the damage that's being done in the worlds and space they live in.
[member="Animus Malgus"] [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] [member="Althea Raxis"]
(OOC: Sorry, I'm a bit confused. I thought this whole discussion was happening on the side of the stage because of how Jaster started, his first comment about not wanting nations breathing down his neck, but I reread earlier posts and saw that it was supposed to take place in a private room. So which one is it, because I assumed with my character that this was taking place on the stage and he's on his way there now...if it is different, I can edit my post to a changed scenario.)

[member="Althea Raxis"] [member="Ala'Tir"]

Jaster looked at the threat that the pirate made, Jaster was very entertained by how this women could think of intimidation such a man as himself in a public display. Did she forge she was in the posistion where HoloCams and citizens could see her. He almost chucked, but instead of using the hidden blad he carried with him under his formal wear, he liked her ability to be discrete.

"Now Now, no need to say such words in the presence of civility good ma'am, of course we would pay you the average contract fee we offer to all our Private Security Officals, such matters of course would be discussed in private, and of course I will have my loyal ally in trade, Mr. [member="Animus Malgus"], meet with you in public to discuss our fees and what we can offer in terms of ships as a working member of the Trade Conglomerate," Jaster looked around, he knew his enemies where watching for the slightest mistake, all they needed were rumors and all out war with the Trade Queen would begin, and such an event would mark the end of the Trade Conglomerate before it even started. "As for enemy's, I don't believe we have any miss, we work with everyone, but again, that will be discussed with Mr. Malgus in private after the contract signing."

OOC, Join the Faction and dicussion of the proper pay and ship translation will be discussed.

[member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"]

"The threat wasn't made for you good Viceroy, but for your enemies. Come now nobodies without enemies!"

Still Althea was finished her and made her way to the door, carrying her limp stoically and without further ado, bowed. It was dangerous bow, from a dangerous and she flashed a haughty smile at the bunch.

"I'll be seeing you soon then."

She gave [member="Animus Malgus"] one last stare. Now that he had the Blood Trail on him she could find him anywhere in the galaxy, even if he were to try and hide his presence or immerse himself in the white current. Blood trails were ancient magics that marked people, not force signatures.

"I'll be seeing you as well."

And then she disappeared...

Ala'Tir

The Lamb In Lion's Clothing
"Excuse me, friends."
The two men turned to look at the source of the monotone, robotic voice. Ala'Tir stood close to them, off the stage, his height and fully armored body striking quite the imposing figure against the rest of the crowd. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but I could not stand to be silent any longer! Dear Viceroy, I am shocked that you are hiring a pirate to represent your company!" At this the Gen'Dai pointed at Althea, limping away from the stage, and continued, "This is why crime is so prevalent in our galaxy, because of men like you empowering women like her with the means to carry out their dastardly crimes! I will not have it, sir! I will let this entire crowd know, if I must, that you not only tolerate but fund and arm piracy itself." Ala'Tir crossed his arms and awaited a rebuttal from the duo.

Jaster turned to the voice of the man who was questioning his decision to hire the young women, an interesting decision on his part. His knowlage was not far from the truth, in all reality, he hired a pirate to go where his men could not. Was this against the law, in some parts yes, in others, no. Jaster was a moral man, and as such didn't shoo the man away, he enjoyed a good debate every know and then.

"You say I'm hiring a pirate, well what she has done is unforgivable true enough, but her exspeiance is invaluable to this organizations cause, I do apologies if you have misunderstood my decision, but we in this organization deal with the Unknown Region, we send loyal officers and researchers who have families and loved one home awaiting their return, I can not ask these people to pick up their weapons and charge into the Unknown and pray they return," Jaster internally laughter at how this man tried to play the moral code in his face, "So what you say is true, I have hired a criminal to do the bidding of this organization, but you say I allow her to do what she has already done, I'm sorry, but that is not true, I pay her to do what I can not allow my officers and scientist to do, enter the Unknown and secure our transports, they are paid not because they are criminals, but because they gave another day to a man or women who returned to their families,"

Jaster took a step back, "If you think you can do a better job then that if a criminal, then sign up, give our family members another day to return to their loved ones, or can you not stomach your pride and moral compass to help our employees survive the great Unknown?"

Jaster backed the man in a corner, if he denied, he would be seen as a prideful man and left others to die in his wake, of course he could continue living, but he could loose possible employers if seen. The other route was to join the conglomerate and work contracts, this of which suited Jasters needs.

The Gen'Dai laughed, the speakers making it sound almost chilling, although it was not supposed to be so. "Friend, do not let this armor fool you. I am no warrior. I am, however, a thinker. I use my brain over my fists, and I know as much as you know that there are retired soldiers out there that have twice the experience she has in protecting civilians and high-value personnel, but little to no experience in raiding and plundering. I know her true purpose. I've been around this galaxy for a while, and have seen companies such as yours attempt to pass off brigands as 'private security' to the public, while really using them as glorified pirates and raiders, sent to attack and steal from other companies while funding and supplying them with the means to continue to kill and steal. I decry this Trade Conglomerate for what it really is: the enabler of crime and piracy itself. And that is why I will not sign a contract for your company. I abhor violence, and will not work for an organization that is contributing to the fabric of this galaxy's problems itself." The Gen'Dai stopped suddenly, politely allowing the Viceroy to make a rebuttal.

Animus was not concerned, he did not fear the Lady. In fact, he hoped to see her again and knew he would soon. For now he stepped back into the shadows, eyeing everyone in the area, not wanting anymore... Surprises...
Another deathstick was ignited in his lips, the smoke waving out in the air... Yes, he would see her soon... [member="Althea Raxis"] would no doubt be in his near future, he laughed in the thought, he would gain this pirates' trust, then her help. One at a time.... His smirk never left as he looked at her as she left biting down his lower lip.

He gestured to the Viceroy [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] in acknowledgement and still ashamed for his actions, he had put the entire Conglomerate at Risk, he had put the Image of the Company in Jeopardy, the Viceroy might have been lenient on him, But Animus was not Lenient on himself, he would learn from this mistake, and he would never, ever do something as such before having the Viceroy's explicit permissions and trusts.
"No more Slip ups Animus... we can't afford them now" Animus murmured to himself as he smoked...

Jack Ross

"I don't believe in good or evil."
Jack watced as events unfolded before him. He smirked as Animus dealt with the girl and watched as Jaster dealth with him afterwards. Jack opted to stay out of the scrabble and decided to walk through the crowds, meeting hand shakes and smiels as he did so. Jack wasn't overwhelmed at all, instead he enjoyed all the praise he was receiving. "They love you Jsck," Mister Pink spoke quietly. "You are a leader now."

He smirked as Pink spoke. For once he was agreeing with his dark counter park, or rather darker. Jack, admittingly even, wasn't a clean cut human being. He was manipulative and sought power. The only difference between him and Pink was that he preferred words, Pink preferred guns. "This small empire of yours, manipulating those around you. I can't wait to see their faces as you pull a gun on them and blast them into oblivion."

Jack shook his head and ignored Pink. Why pay attention when he was being annoying? He turned and made his way back to Jaster, who was still near the stage Jack gave the speech. "What do you think of the event Jaster?" Jack asked. "Save for Animus," he quickly added.

(OOC: Pink's dialouge is obviously in Jack's head, I can't format on the iPad so I couldn't do my normal text colors and italicized Pink's dialouge)

Jaster looked over the man, for a philosopher to wear such armor, maybe he did have the right idea. After all he was in the Fringe Worlds, on the literal outskirts of civilization where colonist and outlaws ruled. After the Fringe Confederate left on their long Crusade, the warlords they left behind where somewhat out of their minds. This of course was an exception to the rule, but not by much, the Galactic Empire was mopping up what resistance they could, but it was a big territory. The Trade Conglomerate was doing their best, but resources of a Trade Organization were stretched, and Jaster used Mercs for those jobs instead of payed workers.

Jaster looked at the man before him, interesting to see such a man rugged as he was with the intellectual capacity he did. If Jaster was able to, squiring such a man would be.... Interesting.

"Tell me sir, have you ever traveled into the Unknown Region, as of late?"
