Open House (Trade Conglomerate // Open)

S O V E R E I G N
Um... well then?

A fight broke out, well at the least and argument between people. And through the entire thing, I just stood there. Amazed that one of them was a member of this group that was supposed to be held accountable. It was funny how they didn't realize that everybody that was within close vicinity was watching this happen. I was surprised that nobody had jumped in sooner. Really, I was just dumbfounded when these people didn't really do anything to stop this.

Hmmm. However, the man who took care of the problem did so very well actually. He had shut it down and was strict, but not overly so. Nor was he beating the man like others in other places would. A slap on the hand in public, and later on the man was likely to get another surprise in how he needs to not do things like this anymore. I just shook my head as I stood there. Walking up to the few who were there. And I decided to talk to the dark skinned man. Apparently his name was Jaster. So because that is all I knew, I went off of that.

"If you don't mind me interrupting, Why is it that you can let this man get into an argument with someone else, and then shrug it off? Is this an embarrassment or are you just trying to keep your cool so everybody else will see how strong you guys are?"

A long, but open ended question that could easily be answered. If he gave me less than five words, then it wasn't worth my time to be here. Working for someone, in my mind, meant that both people got a fair share of something. Sure there were times where one would give more, but later on, that would be repaid. And that my friend, is called business.

In that mind, lets see how well he can do. *looks at the camera* Don't you guys want to know too?

Jasters question was interupted by another man, he didn't mind, this was after all an open question meeting between civil people. That probably explained why there were so few in Fringe Space on the outskirts of civilization. He looked at the man, from head to toe, he hopped to not get him wrong either, was he a Merc or a thinker like the last guy. Jaster decided to speak up instead of argue internally with himself.

"Well just like combat, it's best to let your underlings try their feet in the waters to test their skills, once they make a slight slip up, then as his higher up i must as a leader, step in to fill in the gaps he got wrong, no one is perfect, and I can't blame them for something I did not teach, so what you would say is a slap on the write, its more of informing myself of what he still needs to learn, plus this is the Fringe Territories, such a squabble is common in these places, but you are correct, if I was on Denon or Ossis, it would have jumped in sooner, but with the person he was speaking with, fighting was just another way of negotiating, as I'm sure you are well aware."

Jaster nodded back to the man he originally asked the question to, as he didn't want the man to feel as if Jaster was ignoring him in their conversation. The cameras were on, and Jaster didn't like that, but as the Viceroy, he needed to make his appearances every now and then.

"As a matter of fact, I have. Notably, I visited the planet of the Chiss a couple of standard months ago. Why do you ask?" The Gen'Dai looked at the Viceroy skeptically. Ala'Tir was fairly certain that a job offer was in store, one he would deny. He was a nomad, and on a personal mission to find his father too. He knew little about fighting, and was not willing to fight anyway. Simply put, Ala'Tir was not interested.

Jaster turned from [member="Windstrider"] as he had answered his question, he was now back to the conversation with the armored philosopher. An interesting being to have made his way through the Unknown Region and still be alive. Jaster had sent nearly hundreds of patrols into the Unknonw Region, only a fraction returned unharmed as he.

"Well sir, that is a great accomplishment, after the fall of the Chiss home world and then the raid by the Rebals, astonishing you made it out alive, but since you made it out of that then you know of the dangers that await a man who is untrained in the arts of conflict and butchery?" Jaster was thinking of the words to request what would follow, "If you would by any chance be willing to trade your data of what you know about the Unknown Region, like Trade Routes and Safe Planets that we can explore, employing criminals as you have stated that this Organizations had just done, would be unneeded, after the fall of the Fringe Confederacy, the Fringe Worlds and those in the Region, have become havens for those warlords and pirates far worse then those I hired, and many Merc of the highest caliber are retiring after the depression of the Omega Protectorates, the south galaxy has fallen on hard times my armored friend, and we here must get by however we can."

Ala'Tir shook his head. "There are not any safe routes left. Perhaps only in the small region of the Chiss...but you most likely already know about them. Other than that little bubble, the rest is domineered now by, as you said, warlords and pirates. I explored the Regions when the Fringe was still around, and a little bit out of their area of control. It was moderately safe then. If there was a fight, I'd let others do the killing, and they had no problem with that. But now, you should just stay out of the unknown. You asked for a map. I have a datapad that logged the astro-navigation of my travels. But I will not give it to you. There are threats out there...things that have slept for eons that should not be disturbed. Species that want nothing more than to kill and destroy. The galaxy thinks that they have seen the worst of the Unknown when the Yuuzhan Vong invaded. They were gizkas compared to what else is out there." At this the Gen'Dai paused and stated with emphasis,

"You haven't seen anything yet. You want my advice? My knowledge? I'll give it to you. Stay out of there."

Jaster looked at the man, he was a thinker, but sympathetic , none. It was almost as if he didn't care for the billions of billions that colonized the Unknown Region, during the great Plauge, they fled to escape into the region they thought was safe. They were for a time, but after the Neatherworld Crissis, no one was safe from the true Chaos that followed. The Fringe couldn't Controle their Warlords or great Planitary Leaders, the Imperial Rement fell to their own demise. The worst of it all was that the Sith We're spreading their influence and in some cases influencing the continued chaos to those in the Region.

"You say that we stay out, you don't shoulder the weight of those who would die if we do nothing, there are countless worlds out there that refuse to fight, but chaos is brought to them, as for your willingness to not fight, I understand, for years I left that Region of Violence to conflict to settle on its own, but as I live on this planet, ingnoring the problem did not force it to go away, and as this Organization stands on the brink of glory and shines as a beacon of Civility, you refuse to fight, so we take up that burden, and fight for those who will not, as for our inability to chance those worlds we don't know, your knowlage of worlds that you deem hold secrets of destruction, assisting you'd with the knowlage of worlds to avoid will not only help this organization, but safe the life's of not just my men and women, but possible those of the galaxy if we were to release it," This man was beyond convincing, but Jaster still enjoyed the conversation, his speach and knowlage were tricky for Jaster to play with, but he still held the moral high ground, "I thank you for your concern, but we dont have the ability to ignore the injustice that happens out there, and if hiring who we hire gets us to a conflict zone quicker, then so be it, but that pirate will have saved millions of life's just to keep what she kills, and in my book, those warlords got what they deserved."

Wow politics seemed messy.

The young woman had been leaning against the corner of the room, her arms folded over her chest watching the room as the game of politics spun it's little stories in each section of the long space. She didn't want to get involved but it was requested of her to at least be present to see the sort of people whom [member="Jack Ross"] had humbly called her new "family". Well, it certainly felt like a family, tense, a bit overly formal with false smiles while everyone tried to put their own differences aside because you're "siblings" and you "have to love each other." She didn't even know what odd family member she classified as in their weird motif.

[member="Xenia Nastassia"] told her to be on her best behavior and she was doing so. Not saying anything WAS her best behavior and the conversations seemed to be getting rather heated rather quickly. Instead she remained silent, watching the philosophical debate going on between [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] and [member="Ala'Tir"]. Choosing to simply watch, bide her time until she had deemed she had been there long enough to satisfy her Superior's request.

The man seemed to be quite and didn't answer masters question, he would not help him, he would rather save his mortal soul then to help Jaster and his allies.

He turned to face the other man who was speaking with him, but instead decided to go back to the stage to speak with the rest of the crowed. "We here at the Conglomerate are a very revolutionary alliance of companies, politicians, and Soldiers, we are the salvation of the of the Fringe, the Unknown Region, as well as the Outer and Mid-Rims of the South Galaxy, we have just sent Mercinaries and our own troops to help ride the planet of Sullust of Fringe Raiders who have been tormenting them, we are even constructing new trade routes and old routes made by our ancestors to spread security and tech to worlds who are still in the darkness that was caused by the Neatherworld Crisis, so if their are any questions, I will happily answer them."
