The civilian had asked him a question and he had replied with fire in his voice. His family was alive, both of his siblings, and both of his parents as far as he was aware. His Uncle may as well have been dead because he hadn't been the man that he had wanted to become anymore when Zaren had disappeared, but hopefully he had changed for his younger brother's, to help them get through it.

He knew his younger brother Ben would have wondering.

"Yes, I actually have a family." And then the woman was gone. And so was he.

After ridding himself of the Jedi that had questioned him, Cipher 18 proceeded to his primary mission objective. He had located the technology repair facility within the Navy base; here there would be inoperational Republic droids, but hopefully with computers intact that could be extracted. As he had suspected, the entrance to the room was guarded by a Republic military officer, and behind that were the glass doors leading into the facility. Eighteen didn't have clearance to get past the guard. Unfortunately, Imperial Intelligence was unable to provide him with a higher rank for his cover. He would have to dispose of the guard.

He activated his cloaking shield, hidden beneath the belt of his Republic military uniform. In an instant, Eighteen was invisible, his person nothing more than the fluid movement of air around him. He was able to sneak to within a few feet of the guard, who would notice him only a half a second before Eighteen's arm was already wrapped around him, while his vibroblade was slicing through his neck. Tears of red fell from the slit in the guard's neck, as he did not have time to scream, only to give a muffled sigh before EIghteen felt his body go limp. He dragged the guard's body inside, being careful to leave no signs of blood, and stored it behind a shelf in the corner.

He was inside.

Cipher 18 pressed a gloved hand to his ear, activating his comlink.

"Affirmative. Have an escape route ready," He said in a low voice. "The job is nearly completed."

The Cipher Agent found various Republic probe droids lying in-operational on a table in the center of the laboratory. Vaas pulled out a small toolkit from the belt at his waist and set to work. He would first crack the exterior of the nearest one, and pull out the droid's core hard drive. The process would take a few minutes, as he planned on taking more than one for the sake of insurance. His cloaking shield was also down and needed a few minutes to recharge. Vaas simply had to hope that no one entered the lab within the next two minutes.

His gloved hands worked the screws on the next droid. He was almost done.
