I had thought they were taking care of mines.

In either event, I am only here for fun. Jericho will live through the battle and retreat with the Empire when it comes time for that, I will not begrudge you having your fun on your dominion.

But I might poke a little bit here and there, please no one be offended because I am really just a happy-go-lucky leprechaun when I get to play online. To much grrrness in real life to let it bleed into my fun zone.

And omg is it really 60 posts? Tell the fleet guys to engage and have the dropships move to land. The thread can still keep going for storytelling purposes after 100 anyway.

I'm not sure if the "you ignored the fighters" post was directed at me and Sage (please tag us next time and we can have a dialogue) but Tmoxin is not an Admiral. She is in charge of getting troops to the planet.

First of all if there are fighters in the area of the shuttles where she and Sage Bane are/were I would think they would have been decimated when The Scourge blew up the mine and asteroid field.

But if not, there are plenty of ships in the air and willing fleeters. If someone wants to take fighters and chase Tmoxin's shuttles be my guest. Or attack The Scourge and have a nice air battle with TIE Fighters. It's not about ignoring the fighter screen. It's about what the fighters will do to the enemies. Be proactive and not reactive.

I also agree with Sage, it seems like there are some players who would like a nice ground battle so I'd like to rumble down there for the 40 posts we have left.

If you get your post hitting groundside with your shuttles and soldiers Temi I did give you a glimpse of the Academy's defenses in an earlier post but I'll try my best to keep up fresh movements for them for you too.

Sounds good. I did acknowledge I was bringing mobile artillery to take down the shield defenses so I recognize there is an energy shield. But if neglect to acknowledge some other vital part, you can nudge me on that. I don't mind.

The Academy shield is mostly to prevent orbital bombardment, but not infantry strikes. Its a more scholarly than St. Tiberius or the Palace that double as Military positions and have their own Flak Guns and Large Garrisons. Its halls are filled with knowledge and the Practitioner teachers who decided to try and stay and defend them along with the nearby city's small garrison of troops. So your opposition is mostly apprentice/barely knight level force users (fair number sounds like 12 if there's around 150 people there usually and all the students and most teachers left?) and Crinan Infantry in their armor (which I can link you again or its also back in my first post in the thread).

And apparently 1 Jedi I did not see coming. . . . .

Ooc I say pull back. - its not like we are overwhelmed in number of posts, on the contrary it might be just as good to save some strength for an invasion pretty soon since we member- and active wise are more or less equal with the OS.

What we need is to focus on the inner structure of the faction and get the little things steaightened out, apply for major again and retake this planet. They would not have gotten it was it not for the ooc rules that they attacked the week we got minor, and this is just prolonging a story with a set ending.

My five cents.

Note - as long as RP threads are going I cant help but post, I am not saying it is boring, I am saying we could focus on other just as fun things that will help the faction more.

Right, I understand your point and with how the Storm Corp has had to go through those guys deserve a raise. I can have an order for them to haul ass to the shuttles to join those in the next wave out.

We can focus on finishing Valc with the faction and possibly start some social threads or another faction thread with our members, especially the new ones who weren't able to get in on this. I might stay to play dungeon master a little bit longer still.

[member="Alva Calvarona"], you know you could reinforce the position with another battalion or two. The Stormtrooper Corps is a Corps. And a corps numbers at least fifty thousand men, an infantry battalion is usually just shy of a thousand. Plenty of men to throw around.

Maybe but if its true think planetwide too at major population centers aiding local garrisons evacuate. Not to mention the Palace is only so big and some are in the valley waiting for those transports of your reinforcements. Which btw should be getting shot down by the AA (lol it was the Sith who remembered to link the Palace's sub and defenses too).

Woha, hold your horses. Dont up the numbers to such heights. Canon wise A storm corp battallion is around 650 troopers, a regiment = 4 battallions. A storm trooper legion totals about 9500 troopers.

And we are a minor faction, we cant throw legions around. You just wait until we do the invasion in a bit. Then youll see otherwise....
