Ashin shrugged, and the fluid seeped back through her skin. "As you wish, of course, Chancellor. And, of course, I'll keep you informed of anything you should know. The Treaty of Ithor may change a great deal. A mutual non-aggression pact, military exchanges, and steps towards free trade agreements -- a collective agreement that excludes the Protectorate, the Empire and the Republic. A non-aggression pact that even applies to aid in invasions perpetrated by the Big Three."

Josh looked over at Syn and sighed.

"Is there time between this and the next session? He asked. "I don't see the alleged traitor or her accuser. If I may, I'd like to take a small stroll to clear my head. I'll be back when they arrive" Josh said to his fellow Councilman @[member="Syn"].

Even Syn could sense that Matsu's trial had been hard on her former Padawan... And the thought of a death sentence, something that should be outlawed by Jedi standards toward members of their own Order, made him that much more conflicted.

Josh walked out with his head held high. It would lower morale if a Council member were to walk as if depressed or shamed. He had to show strength, confidence and dedication... In a dangerous time for the Jedi, that was the best contribution he could make to the Order...

Once he was out of sight of the courtroom, Josh walked to the veranda, propping his elbows on the railing and burying his chin in his hands. He sighed, looking out at the sights of Coruscant...

How willing Syn and the other Master, Aleidis's Master of all people... To put Matsu, a Jedi Master of many years, to death just like that... It shocked him. It appalled him... How could a Jedi think like that? The mantra always was that in their minds, anyone could be saved... Yet just like that, they wanted to execute Matsu, and not just that, execute her in front of her own Padawan... Knowing she had two children in the Order who would be orphaned, alone and lost if they did it.

He was conflicted... He was bound to the Jedi for life, of his own choice. His loyalties were, and would always be with the Jedi Order... But ever since Ben Watts had declared war on the Sith, had them attack Metalorn... And then the cease fire happened and Watts disappeared, things had been strange in the Republic, and in the Jedi Order...

His thoughts went back to his duel with Sith Master Darth Vazela... Something had awakened in DragonsFlame during that duel... He had spent years... Holding back on his powers. Holding back in fights. Not wanting to use the full extent of his abilities, his potential... Anywhere. He was scared. Even as an adult, he feared it... He feared turning into Pinewrap Icaf. Becoming so powerful, so dominating... That not even the Order or the Sith could stop you... That you would run out of control, use both sides for your own ends, become absorbed in your own power and hurt people... Innocent people... And there wouldn't be a way for you to stop it...

But during that duel with Vazela... Something had clicked and it had caused him to start throwing his full power at the Master. If he could balance it, if he had people there to keep him from going off the deep end... To catch him if he fell... He could keep going... Because the Jedi needed as much as they could get in a dangerous time like this... Otherwise the Republic and the Jedi would fall...

And that is where his fears went away...

He sighed. He wished things hadn't become so tense around here... Everything was crumbling apart around him... Even Syn, a man he had trusted, seen like a brother and a friend... Had became a dictator just for that second, a show of selfishness and corruption... Was it because he was a shadow? Or was something else in the works?

His mind then wandered back to Matsu... The fact he had to look her in the eyes and tell her that if she failed the redemption, she would be on a death sentence trial... To do that to his own Master, the mother of his own Padawans... It tore him apart inside. He knew it was what was apparently best... But was it? She had slaughtered many in the battle of Metalorn, yes... But why not work harder to redeem her? To show her the error of her ways? She was much better off with them alive, then dead in the ground, leaving her children orphaned and alone... Inside, Josh wanted to speak to @[member="Matsu Ike"]... For the first time, he wanted to hug his Master and tell her that he was sorry... And try to reassure her that everything would be alright... But he didn't know if he could...

So much had happened since Metalorn, again... Ben had disappeared, Syn had taken over temporarily in his place, and already he was demonstrating his power, even if Josh had managed to stop him... But not completely. If Matsu "failed" the redemption, and Syn and the Council decreed that she be put to death... All Josh had done was prolong it... There would be nothing he would be able to do, and he would have to sit and watch his own Master die...

Then there was the rogue Order, formed after Matsu's crimes, and Aleidis, still considered a Jedi by the rogues, became the Supreme Chancellor... Josh remembered being there every step of the way for Ijet, supporting her, being that shoulder to cry on, the motivator in her darkest of times.. And then she won. He remembered how happy she was, the joyful look in her eyes as he had congratulated her...

Was it the wrong decision? It had brought such a backlash that the Rogue Order had been formed... Jaxton Ravos, a man who Josh once respected and saw as a friend.. The man had brought Josh to the crystal caves when he was alone, when Caleb Torran had disappeared and abandoned him... And now Jaxton had abandoned him and the rest of the Jedi Order, taking many with him...

The entire situation was driving him crazy.. And this thing with Matsu only added to it... Secretly, he yearned for comfort, for someone to talk to, someone to be there...

He wished Saoirse was in Coruscant today... He yearned for her embrace, her understanding, knowing that no matter what happened, she would never leave him. But she was out somewhere, who knows...... Or even for Aleidis's comfort, but the Supreme Chancellor was here, today... And busy signing the treaty. He couldn't bug the Ghostling now...

That only left @[member="Asha Seren"]... And Josh's heart sank as he remembered her leaving the Order... She was probably his closest friend, someone who unintentionally he had formed a Force Bond with after everything... And now she was gone. Gone, god knows where, somewhere in the Galaxy... Her leaving had left him devastated, heartbroken and betrayed... And he felt those emotions even now. And somewhere in the galaxy, Asha herself could feel right now his depression and torment...

He was alone.

Je'daii had been paying attention but only to the transcripts. There was little else to do and now as she stood out there and looked she spoke. Her empathy letting her feel his discomfort but it was also because she had felt it. Lost and abandoned with nothing to take it was why she had went back into the Teyan after her master abandoned the order taking all her padawans but one. "You know councilor Dragonsflame there is always a chance for things to get better." With her poncho closed and best professional demeanor Je'daii kept taking in the rest of the situation.

She hadn't went to Metalorn, no she had stayed behind and if she had went there was a chance a slim one she wouldn't have been ablt to do anything. Asha still would have betrayed the order and forsaken her duties to everyone, the trials here would still have went on and regardless there would be more sadness. "If you need to talk, I am here. If there is anyone who understands it might possibly be me."

Matsu looked at the other councilors and then at Je'gan as she bowed. Letting the binders remain she spoke with a small smile into the force that anymore could hear. @[member="Reiko Ike"], @[member="Orihime Ike"]..... Come up to the council chambers. I have news for you both. Her face showed mostly serenity while walking into the hallway to wait and say goodbye for now. Je'gan was a mystery in where he might take her but she was sure of one thing... He wasn't going to go easy on her. If anything she would be broken down and left to heal in their sessions. She would not hold ill will towards him. Each jedi had a different way of doing things.

Josh raised an eyebrow as his concentration was interrupted by the appearance of Serena... Or at rumors had flown around, she was now known as @Je'daii after Asha had abandoned her.

He nodded slowly.

"..... Why did she do it?" he asked, biting his lip, looking down. He knew Serena couldn't answer that... But it was all he could ask... They were both in the same boat on their friend leaving the Order.

The kicker though, was that Asha hadn't exactly left HIM. With Tracyn still hunting down Cassus, Josh had allowed Asha and Kobe to stay with him, back when Asha was still a Jedi... But he couldn't tell Serena that. She would likely misunderstand and it would only lead to pain. Of course... He had only seen her once since she had left the Order and went off to Force knows where, and that had been one morning where he'd woken up to find her in the apartment. They hadn't really spoken, he didn't have the heart to ask her why... Instead he had helped feed Kobe and allowed her to leave for unknown spaces again. It was the first time they had ever been that cold and awkward to one another... And it hurt him to remember it.

He sighed. He could feel the pain in Serena as she spoke. He knew she was just as torn up about it as he was.

Aleidis nodded quietly, clasping her hands behind herself. That she was being excluded from her Master's peace treaties meant a great deal to Aleidis. Mostly, it meant that she still had work to do if she wanted to prove that the Republic was a force for peace and unity in the Galaxy. "I will keep you informed, as well, Admiral." She resolved, smiling faintly in spite of the sudden, sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. Sometimes, the anxiety started to catch up with her. "Was there anything else you wished to discuss, or are we at an understanding?" The teen asked with a cheerful smile, suddenly eager to be somewhere else - anywhere else - where she could vent some steam before it was too late to salvage her good day.

The tall woman in red-and-yellow Naboo attire bowed gently, as any anonymous woman would bow to the Chancellor. "We have an accord," she said. "Your health, Chancellor."

She stepped back. Between one heartbeat and the next, she was gone in the stream of pedestrians.

Silas took a quick break from his paperwork,He was drafting a bill to fund training for corruscant's security force,This was to be the first of many proposals aimed at reducing crime. He left his office and moved out toward the cafe in the senate,He had developed a liking for their coffee and the rumour among his aids was that the cobbler was to die for and it was available only once a year. He moved slowly through the crowd.as he walked past the chancellor he dipped his hat and whished her a good day. Upon arriving at the cafe he ordered a slice of cobbler and a hot drink before taking a seat .

Je'daii looked out at the city and spoke letting her hands clasp behind her back under the poncho while she spoke. "We cannot know, at least not for now. Asha has forsaken the jedi order, she abandoned her duties to the Republic and jedi. That shows the danger she walks now. She risks falling to the darkside and that only leads to a single path. She abandoned all of us councilor, your pain is just as raw as mine but take heart that one can get past this. If her son stays in the order he can be taught as a proper jedi who doesn't shirk his duties. As his guardians we are responsible to make that decision. I would suggest you see to the order adopting Kobe with his mothers abandonment."

He shook his head. "No. Asha Seren would never abandon Kobe... Not the Asha I know" he said.

He paced around the veranda, taking a breath. He wanted to be anywhere else but here...

"I just don't understand... Why?" he asked. "I know a lot of ish has happened lately... But why would she abandon the Order? After everything?"

He didn't mention their constant undercover missions as Jose and Cery. But he felt a severe pang of pain at the thought of never doing them again...

She didn't need to turn her head to watch, she could feel the pacing behind her while he spoke. "Perhaps she wasn't what we thought, my master chose something I could not follow and if half of what she had told me was true... Then she wouldn't have been able to either, it was not everything that had happened. Cassus being taken may have done it but even she wasn't foolish to go after a sith lord alone and emotional. It would have been like child's play to twist her love for him into something twisted and corrupt her." Then she finally turned her head and spoke somewhat biting her lower lip to keep from her own emotional response.

"No the why isn't the issue, the how is what you should investigate. How did we not see her being corrupted by dissenters within our own order? How come she wouldn't let us help fight their influence? The truth is as much as we failed to see the corruption in our own midst that was worming into her. We refused to believe it could happen so now we are here wanting answers. Asha abandoned Kobe the moment she ceased being a jedi. Once she decided to follow Jaxton all decisions fell to us and Tracyn, it is our duty to make sure he is raised proper and not become subject to her corrupted heart or mind."

He sighed. "No. You don't get it" he said, shaking his head. "Asha took Kobe with her, she took him from the Order" he said. "Tracyn isn't here. He went off to find Cassus..." he said, gritting his teeth. Tracyn was the person he would have wanted to talk to... But he was gone too.

Cathbodua didn't venture out often enough from the temple but today was... Boring, trials were one thing. Making a spectacle of them for their own sake another and it did not appeal to her. Instead when she had heard the news of other jedi leaving the order... She hadn't cared until the mention of Boolon Murr had come about. One of the few she truly respected and now as the bodysuit clad jedi healer looked around while she sifted through the force presences and followed. Then she waited hands in her lap in a seat for the ghostling, she didn't look like a jedi and her medical kit obscured her saber in the bottom of within arms reach should she need it. Though no one actually attacked doctors here and she spoke letting the force carry her voice not to invade the mind but just to say she was here. Supreme Chancellor I wish to speak with you about something urgent.

"Then we have failed again and now another soul will fall into the darkness. I will mourn Kobe's situation. It is not something a child should be subjected to, perhaps we will run across them someday but I doubt it. I am expecting to see her name on the list of sith next time the Republic faces the empire." Her eyebrows rose at that and she didn't like the sour taste that entered her mouth. The idea of seeing her old master as a sith would be sad but it was the only conclusion of her path now unless she came back to the light and the order. Though she expected her to take the easy path.

He gritted his teeth as he looked away at the thought. Asha... A Sith. Kobe... A Sith. He couldn't imagine it... He didn't want to imagine it. Them leaving the Order was one thing... But to have his "partner" per say... And his own nephew in the Sith.... Was disturbing to think of. Especially considering Josh and Asha were bonded by the Force for the rest of their lives...

"I just wish she would come back" he said, sighing. "If Asha and Kobe turn... I don't know what I'll do" he admitted. "Kobe is my nephew, Serena... You know that. But it's not just that... He's like my son. Without Tracyn, he depended on me like I was his daddy... And now I have to sit and watch as he's sent to god knows where...."

@Je'daii

Blessed are the peacemakers
Robes swayed as Tracyn walked through, in his brand-new Dashi Robes, recently required after Metalorn. He came upon whom he was looking for, @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] and @Je'daii. A lot of things changed after Metalorn, and most of them, not very good. For both him, and the Republic as a whole. The door burst open, with dramatic flair as Tracyn came to the two. He stood there for a moment, his icy gray eyes dancing between them."It's not entirely uncommon that a Jedi leaves the order for personal reasons. Asha grew disillusioned with the Jedi, just as I did before. But suggesting that Asha, ASHA of all people would fall to the dark side? And if she does...I'll deal with that. Personally."His eyes narrowed a tiny bit.

He didn't seem exactly happy, he seemed more serious than ever. Scars littered his face, small unhealed wounds from Metalorn that required no immediate attention other than a simple alcohol wipe every day. He blinked, as much as he could, because there was a large gash across his eye, where shrapnel nearly ripped his eye out. He blinked between the two, staring them down for a moment. Tracyn had been in and out of existence to the pair, dropping off the grid for a few months, reappearing with another defunct-or-destroyed terrorist cell or criminal gang left in pieces. He had been cutting a path through the outer rim and the more nastier parts of the galaxy, the parts of the galaxy that were more akin to home to him than anything. He liked it out there, but he couldn't find peace. Not until he knew that the one part of the galaxy that he couldn't stand not having was back with him. Asha and otherwise. Tracyn was scary, that was for sure. Tracyn's eyes flickered over to Serena, laying over her for a moment.

"It's rather ignorant to think that just because someone leaves the Jedi, immiedately means that they will become a Sith or fall to the dark side, Serena."He put emphasis on her name, not bothering to call her by whatever name she chose now. He sneered his upper lip, finally taking a seat in the far corner of the room."I don't have any leads. I don't have any idea. And that's a rare thing."He said with a certain bitterness in his voice. He looked at the pair for a moment.

"Almost forgot...."He paused.

"Hi."

Je'daii remained still as Tracyn spoke and Joshua. It was not ignorant to think one who leaves the order would fall, she only had history to show equal numbers for both cases if anything. "And it is foolish to believe one won't have the risk. If she had become so disillusioned then she runs the risk. Does that mean i expect it... Yes but then it is easier to say she fell then accept something else. Much like how I expect your ire regardless of whether I damn or praise a person Knight Tracyn." Her face still remained stoic though while she fiddled with her hands. "At best we can hope she sees the error of her ways and thinks of what is best for young Kobe, at worse she falls. Everything in between can be a broad scope."

Josh was surprised at Tracyn's appearance, but he took a breath as he listened, sitting beside him.

"That's all I can hope..." he said. "The Asha I know wouldn't turn... Her ideals wouldn't allow it. I just don't know how she got disillusioned by the Jedi... The only likely explanations are the Chancellor deal and Matsu on Metalorn... But she never mentioned either before" he said.

He would tell Tracyn about Asha and Kobe moving in with him later. Better elsewhere then in public.

Shaken from her meeting with one of the most powerful women alive - and one of history's more reviled conquerors, in spite of the circumstances - Aleidis had taken a minute to compose herself. She'd washed her face, touched up her makeup, and taken something for her looming anxiety. When she was just about to call it a day and go back to her office, she sensed that somebody else had come to the Senate building to seize a moment of her time.

And so it was that Aleidis found herself facing the eerie, body-suit clad form of Cathudoba, who'd once bickered so with her Master. She offered a polite smile, somewhat surprised to see the woman(?) here. "Knight Cathbodua - you know that you can simply arrange an appointment or call if you'd like to talk to me." The Ghostling pointed out with a friendly smile, trying to keep the mood light. "How can I help you?"
