Others See Us (Jedi/Republic)

She stood up and offered a mere bow while walking over to look down. Not much difference in height but then her voice came out with the same level of pride. She might respect the girl who had become a master and done many a great feat but that was something else. "With all that is going on and your image Supreme chancellor, even I am not so cruel as to march in here looking like a jedi. Though that is why I have come. Normally I would work on treating myself, or request Boolon but given his leaving. The best healer we had left ran for office." She waited for a moment and continued. "My condition is worsening and despite many things. You and Boolon are the closest ones I have to friends."

Well she had said it, that was easier then she thought it would be and slowly the jedi healer returned to her normal stance looking down at the supreme chancellor. "So have you seen Boolon? I have often wondered if he was okay."

Reiko came up to where @[member="Matsu Ike"] was. She ran to her to hug her. She hadn't seen her mom for far to long. "mommy!" She screamed as she went to embrace her. Reiko thought the world of her mom. After all Matsu was the smartest jedi out of all of them if you asked her. Reiko was sad though that Aledis was gone. She didn't let others know it but it had hit Reiko hard. The woman had become one of Reiko's few friends and well now she was gone. Reiko didn't know where her sister was at the moment. So Reiko smiled running towards matsu to hug her as she wondered what the news was.

Orihime stood next to her sister and hugged her mother as she didn't need to speak. She didn't know what had happened but she was just glad to see her mother and be off Tython... If only for a time. They didn't get to travel and with the new temple having been built the Spero was only so much fun. Her mind didn't think about Master Aleidis like Reiko did, the jedi had become supreme chancellor which meant she was still around and when theterm ended might be able to come back to the order.

Matsu hugged both of her children as she smiled. It would be alright.. more then alright even, she wasn't one to shirk duties. Now she spoke looking both of them in the eyes. "Now you both are going to be good for your master yes? Going to behace while I go on this trip. I wish you could be with me but it is something that must be done alone. I shall return to the two of you and we will have fun on Tython."

"You can't go, who am I going to study with in the library! and Master Aledis is leaving too, I don't want you to go. " She said looking up with a very sad face. She loved people and had spent much of her free time bothering matsu or Aledis or anyone who would put up with her. She held onto matsu as if to stop her. " Please don't leave?" She asked with her best puppy dog face she could muster. " I will be really good and not steal all the pillows again I promise, and I will not make fun of master Josh either! Just don't leave like Master Alediis" It felt like everyone but Orihime was leaving her, not that they really could leave each other. They always had their bond.

Matsu looked at her daughters and hugged them both close as she spoke letting tears roll down her face. She wasn't abandoning her children, she wasn't abandoning or leaving them permanently and her voice came out. "Reiko.... This is not permanent, I just need to take care of something and then I shall return and we will be able to do anything in the Library the two of you would like to do. Okay.. dead?" Her face showed a sad smile at this and kept her arms around them. "You both be good understood. I will return after my mission with Master je'gan and we will be together again."

"Ok, mommy, I will see you when you get back, prepare to be amazed, I will be way better when you get back. " She said trying to act more grown up. " You can count on me!" She said hugging her tightly. " Do your best!" She whispered into @[member="Matsu Ike"] 's ear. She would keep hugging her until she was forced to part with her mother. The seemed different than all the other departures, and plus Reiko did not like the rumors she had heard. She did not like them at all.

Aleidis gave Cathbodua a wary look, before putting her hands behind her back. "Knight Murr has - as far as I know - returned to his duties as an Ithorian priest and is working towards peace and harmony in the Galaxy." She explained. "I'm sure he wouldn't mind a holomail from you, if you wished to ask how he was doing."

The teenager offered a sympathetic look. "I'm not really sure what your condition entails, to be honest." She admitted. "Was Knight Murr working with you on that, or...?" She trailed off, unsure if Cathbodua had been seeking outside help or treating herself.

She looked at the girl for a moment and was stunned slightly... Aleidis used shocking word and now it was super effective but slowly she spoke showing her hands and suit to indicate. "My condition has been lifelong and most do not survive into their teenage years. My master said I was a hopeful case during our training, the sensitivity is the same but my eyes are starting to dull, the membrane over it while making my nightvision better also is slowly making me blind. I have not talked to Boolon about it as this is something personal. He and I do not share personal but you are biologically female and this falls under the bounds of friendship private chats. If you wish to partake of frozen sweet cream and do each others hair I have read up on the rules."

Aleidis blinked in surprise. Cathbodua - the formidable healer and frankly genuinely unsettling Jedi Knight - was asking to confess secrets over ice cream and hairdos. It was something akin to being invited to a tea party by the boogey man. The young Chancellor was genuinely confused as to what the black-wrapped woman wanted from her; was Cathbodua asking for a confidante? Reaching out in an attempt to make friends in the twilight of her life? Or seeking medical help by trying to befriend Aleidis rather than being forthright about what she wanted?

"I'm... not sure what you're asking of me here, Knight Cathbodua." Aleidis finally confessed aloud.

"I... I am a healer who is going blind, a trained doctor and medic beyond my use of the force. The force can show me much but how many doctors have you seen who are physically blind? Now many or any at all. If Boolon were still in the order I would go to him, despite our differences in opinion he is a great healer. Despite my mannerisms I do not deny a fondness for him and his lectures. I just cannot continue to serve the jedi if my eyesight will be gone. The two of you were stronger healers in the force, I am merely the one who as you said once breaks her padawans arms." With a look back along the room she spoke more showing there were small movements in the mask.

"Too be honest I never have, my padawans learn healing the first day and I am not so terrible to assault them. So does your healing or Boolons include being able to help without light?"

"I'm afraid not, Knight Cathbodua - but there are those who can help you learn." Aleidis reminded the woman pointedly, trying to be reassuring. "The Miraluka have been producing exemplary Jedi for thousands of years, and they were born without sight. Perhaps you'd do well to go to Alphredies, learn their ways, and see if that'd aid you in your attempts to heal blind?" The Ghostling suggested with a tiny smile. "Where there's a will, there's always a way."

"And for what it's worth, I am sorry that I was so judgmental as a child. You did frighten me quite a bit, you know."

@[member="Aleidis Ijet"]

"I would prefer if it could be fixed but thank you on both accounts. I know I am not the easiest to get along with but I find being confined into the basement of the temple has given me more then enough time to reflect and with the healers of the order leaving for politics, for some rogue faction or returning home... I am somehow the most qualified." The idea of her being judgmental was also something funny. "The views of a child are many things but they are great for first impressions, I was not the kindest to you but I respected you as a jedi always. That is what I find some failed to understand. So chancellor how goes the planning to save the galaxy?"
