Padawan Adventures.... They're.... Grate

Bwa.... bwa... bwa...

Making sonar-like sound effects, the youngling lost himself to a world of imagination as he drifted out along the continental shelf. Like a green submarine, the child hovered over sea grass that boasted colorful fish darting in and between the foliage. Crustaceans crawled along the sand-and-shell marbled floor. The subtle motions of a frog kick propelling the boy through the water without disturbing the soft silt.

Three of his head tails began tingling. Possessed of sensory organs that detected various changes in the ocean, the boy was aware of vibrations disturbing the water behind him. Focusing in on the source of the disturbance, he could sense a displacement the size of a humanoid. Rolling on his side, the child tumbled through the water as he flipped around and started swimming back toward the shore.

Honing in on the splashing of a terrestrial fighting against the surface, the deadly krill stalker of nature skulked beneath the waves. Crawling along the ocean floor, the boy could see the pair of humanoid legs and the shadow of the body that was above the water.

Slowly, the candy crusher circled back so that he approached the swimsuit-clad padawan from behind as he stayed beneath the water.

Closer. Closer...

Exploding from out of the water, the boy sent water flying in all directions as he popped up to exclaim, "RAWR!"

Her eyes went a little wide as she was watching Sorel strip down and it was surprising to her to say the least. Orihime looked at the zeltron who commented and everything that was happening as she debated what to do. Finally deciding to join her friend while she stripped out of the robe and boots standing there with her anklet from her mother for protecting from the cold and her earrings with necklace. The sarashi around her stomach and chest and some underwear while she moved jumping into the water with her hair ribbon being tossed into the air feeling the water on her skin as it was cooling for a moment and then she was underneath it and opened her eyes to see if there was anything there.

It was strangely clear and didn't sting nearly as much as she feared it would but the differing shades of blue reminded her of her sabers while she saw the smaller rocks and sand below. Slowly swimming while she held her breath seeing Zak leap out of the water but she couldn't hear him as she kept swimming out a little longer checking one of the rocks as it seemed to reveal a clam that she could open up showing a small pearl. A smile on her face before she moved breaking the surface and for the first time in a long time she swung her hair in a loop with the water opening her eyes and feeling the breeze on her skin. There were smaller rocks juttering at places from the archipelagos they could move around on.

"What are those?" Orihime was on the rock pointing towards a large obelisk in the distance while she was looking and slowly she could see more. at different points. Some were different sizes and some were huge as she was swimming in towards the shore. "Down below it looks like there were more to the islands or this was a mountain range, maybe the waters rose on whoever was here." If someone was here but there had been signs of buildings on the surface scans just nothing conclusive or detection of life signs. She was looking more at Sorel and the others now seeing all of them and offering a smile before standing up on the rock and jumping. "Joza can you put my stuff in my pack please?" She jumped into the air. "Cannonball."

There was a splash and she was going down more to look over some of the water to check over the things there while she could see rocks and signs of an underwater cave... maybe it went through some of the little islands and they could find things or at least use it if they set up here to conceal things. Sealing it off and making an airlock you could swim into and out of for an underground and water location. No one would look for it easily if they were careful and smart. She could also see some things while coming back up and breaking the water with a look then taking in a large gulp of air before heading back down to search and look at the things glistening in the sand under the sunlight. She motioned for Zak if she could see her while looking over more of it and it was thick sections of crystal and the stone was heavy to move out of the way.

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel was a decent swimmer and her new-found ability to hold her breath indefinitely meant she had little fear of the water. But even so, large aquatic creatures were always a threat, especially in uncharted waters. Perhaps she trusted the Nautolan to warn her of anything to concern her. But as she swam, she had a disconcerting feeling. Sensing through the water was different to the air and she felt a presence near her and it was closing in fast. She stopped swimming and ducked her head under the water, hoping to see whatever it was.

At that precise moment a young Nautolan shaped blur came up at her and broke the surface of the water. She took in a gulp of water before realising it was just Zak. A combination of the water and a bellow of laughter sent her into a coughing fit, but the smile on her face showed she was taking his fake attack in good spirits.

“Nah, swimming isn’t my thing...” She answered Joza, as she feigned a lighthearted smile and a nervous laugh escaped her. Her memories of the ocean were not funny in the least, but it was all she could do to try and ease the awkwardness she felt inside. Valae watched as Orihime went by on her way to join Sorel and Zak in the water. She couldn’t help but feel a stab of envy seeing how carefree the other padawan had been about stripping her clothes off and entering the water. Times like these left Valae feeling a bit bashful; though she was dressed casually today... she couldn’t see herself running about the beach in her undergarments. They weren’t exactly the kind that one would want to show off anyway... not that anyone else needed to know.

Valae had watched as the two men exchanged words, and she merely shrugged. Perhaps it was a good idea to proceed with caution, but things here seemed peaceful... it didn’t seem that there was a malicious presence lurking about to attack them. However, one could never quite know what would happen on adventures like these. Get a bunch of young people together and nearly anything was possible. She observed Joza’s relaxed posture and decided to try and emulate it herself. Valae leaned back and let the slope of the dunes support her. The warmth of the sand beneath her made her think of Tatooine... this was a rare occasion when she actually found herself feeling homesick for the desert.

“After they are done swimming, maybe we can explore a bit?” She asked, looking to her companions.

Nikias said:
"You are overthinking things... Once again, while you Attikan's are good at thinking and tactics you seem to like skills in anything else. How about we all enjoy ourselves and when a threat arises we'll deal with it then. What creature or being would attack a group such as this? Your caution certainly didn't help you on the battlefield."

The world around Aris disappeared as his focus remained on Nikias, he felt the rage pumping within his blood. The Makrosian Prince was probably the man that had a talent of triggering Aris' anger so easily. This was possibly due to their past experience. Instinctively, the Hellyn put his hand on his lightsaber. The hate building within him was very similiar to the one he had expressed during their duel where Aris had been knocked out by the prince and left for dead.

"I suggest you start being more cautious before you speak." His face in a slight grimace, his eyes gazing into the yellow eyes of Nikias. Aris thought of saying more but he was able to gain back enough composure before throwing a threat. This was not the place but the urge to kill the Makrosian was growing even stronger within the Attikan.

He then turned towars the rest, seeing everyone was quite enjoying themselves Aris gave up hope that they would heed his call for more caution.

Joza Perl said:
“Do you think the Force is trying to trick us?”

Aris' eyes shifted towards the Zeltron as he walked up close to where she was sitting, it was a good spot to look around the vast horizon. Within him, the Hellyn felt as if he was wasting his time. How could this adventure bring him closer to his goal of reclaiming his throne someday? Shaking his head to himself, the Attikan's thoughts were filled with the typical Attikan superiority.

"I would say why not?" He replied to Joza with a serious tone and possibly due to the emotions demonstrated earlier against his compatriot - Nikias, Aris proceeded with a slightly personal explanation to Joza. "There are species out there that can enforce within you fake pleasantry, making you feel on top of the world while being the cover for a stab in the back. Why should we discriminate the Force from such a possibility?"

Aris remained on the slightly higher ground overlooking the whole place, seeing Orihime jumping into the water she seemed to have seen something peculiar, Sorel and Zak were enjoying themselves in the water with the latter imitating a shark. When his eyes fell on Valae, Aris was glad to hear what she suggested.

"I think that should be our priority. It would be a risk not knowing more about our surroundings on an unknown planet." He told Valae assertively. Aris hoped that everyone would be a bit more cautious.

Peril might just be around the corner...

Due to how tall both the Hellyni were they were able to lock eyes and Nikias' jaw visibly tightened along with the fingers of his left hand flexing as though about to swing on Aris. He could feel the poison pumping in his veins and feel the excitement of Trellos in the back of his mind cheering Nikias on. He wanted nothing more than to hit the Attikan but he restrained himself. He knew that this specific Attikan hadn't been the cause of his brother’s death, but he still felt the need to hit him to make him pay for what the others did. "Or what's going to happen. I survived the last attempt, and I won't die till I fullfill my personal quest." Nikias said to the Attikan in a low voice before he left. There was a fire burning in not only Nikias' core and his eyes. If it was possible his eyes would've probably spewed flames at the Attikan.

Taking his focus off the retreating Attikan, Nikias pinched the bridge of his nose. "Why didn't you do it?! Why didn't you hit him? Show him the error of his ways! He shouldn't talk to you in such a way!" Trellos yelled like a child would when they threw a tantrum. Nikias felt a headache building and was forced to resort to deep breaths to keep himself calm and trying to shove the voice away.

"Hitting him wouldn't have made anything better." Nikias whispered to Trellos while watching the small nautolan pretend to be a shark. It was cute in so many ways and reminded Nikias of his old childhood. "Plus I shall not be the one to ruin this outing. The ones who set this up spent alot of time doing so. The best we can do is act civilized... Even then Aris is not an enemy, we are both members of the Sanctum now. We must learn to get along."

"These mystics are messing with your mind..." Trellos said in disgust as the voice retreated back into the recesses of Nikias' mind.

“Gotcha, ‘Hime.” Joza called back to the Padawan as she splashed into the waters again, arching her back in a stretch before rolling to her feet. The Zeltron gathered Orihime’s abandoned clothes and set them neatly in her pack before dropping it near Valae for safekeeping, away from the immediate splash zone. By this point, she could feel the heat radiating from the pair of Hellyni as their argument came to an abrupt end.

Still standing, the pink tinted woman turned toward Aris as he responded to her quip and arched a brow. A Jedi that does not trust the Force? The other brow raised as he alluded vaguely to her natural ability, her gaze darkening a tad. “If you’re that worried about mind tricks, Son of Damocles, I’d suggest you attend a lecture on mental barriers.” Her tone held no venom or malice, only mild warning and exasperation. “And drop the superior tone.”

“And you.” She glanced at Nikias from the corner of her eye from where he’d gone off to. “Quit your pouting.” With that, she made her way back over toward Valae, flopping down into the sand with a dramatic sigh. “Men, am I right?” She glanced up at the other woman, giving her a knowing look. “Talk about harshing the mellow.” Still, she wouldn’t let this ruin the mini-vacation. After spending so much time on the unforgiving worlds her Master insisted they visit, this was a nice change. Struggling out of her robes, the Zeltron sighed in satisfaction a she felt the sun warm her pink skin. Underwear was like a bathing suit, right? And her robes were like a towel. It’s like they were on an actual vacation!

“So where are you from, Valae? I’ve seen you around the temple quite a lot, but I don’t think we’ve ever spoken.” Stretching out on the fabric of her robes, Joza made herself comfortable. The very act of sunbathing seemed to help her overall mood and physical being.

This week on DiscoveryHolo, Krakana Week!

On an alien world, a group of Jedi padawans discovers the dangers of nature's deadly predator. The Nauto-Shark!

Bubbly laughter trickled from out of the youngling as he splashed down next to the older padawan, flipping around to float on his back as the boy giggled in mirth at having surprised her. Then, ducking his head under the water with a backbend, the child flipping around so that he was dog-paddling on the surface of the water. "This... This one time, on... on Dac, I saw a krakana," the youngling chirped, blinking as he looked over at the girl padawan.

He should probably learn some peoples names. 'Girl padawan' described, like, half the people here!

"It was, like, really... It was huge!" the child offered, holding up his arms to try and indicate the appropriate amount of enormity that went with the tale of the shark like creature.

The gesture from Orihime caught the boy's attention, his head vanishing from the surface of the water for a minute. It popped up near where Orihime was swimming, as the child was curious what the older padawan wanted him for.

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Having survived his first scare, Sorel was less likely to fall for a second attempt, so Zak's tale of a sea demon was interesting but not likely to cause her undue worry. But then, just because he was fooling around, didn't mean there weren't sea creatures in the waters nearby that could attack them. So she ensured she didn't travel beyond the shallow waters. The bigger the fish, th deeper the water - at least that's how she saw it. And then, like Zak, she turned and headed over to where her friend was swimming, eager to hear what she had to say.

She could feel with the force the others around her while she was swimming. Noticing Zak and Sorel coming towards her as she pointed down. They were still in somewhat the shallows given space. Most of this was not very deep but she spoke. "It looks like there might be caves down there, we don't have the equipment to see how deep they might be or if they are a network but the small islands look interconnects.Like they were all part of the same place from down there. and now just portions are above the water." Stay calm and take in as much detail as you can for everything. She was thinking about the rest of the stuff there, the stone that was carved and broken in places looked strange but showed clear signs of something having been here.

"I also found this." She held up the small pearl from the clams. "Along the rocks and shallows there were blisters of them I could see." She had a grin pointing towards the other islands and pillars in the distance. "And those i canb't see what they were, we might be able to find out if we go searching." She wanted to get every detail but the others on the shore were making it interesting. The two males were getting heated while the two other females were relaxing.... At least Zak was adorable and not going to butt heads with others... he might give a headbutt to be a terror but she was pointing. "I can still feel the force on this world but it is strange, it feels all warm and tingly." THe padawan was swimming and stood on the sand keeping her head above the water.

“Men, am I right?”

Valae tried to suppress a laugh, but it didn’t work. As she giggled, she felt herself growing lighthearted; most of her anxieties had started to fade to the back of her mind. She had to admit that the waves were very pretty to look at, and she was still at a safe distance. It was also clear that the band of Padawans in the water seemed like they were having fun. She stuck her feet into the warm sand, wiggling her toes a bit as they went under. Valae chanced a look towards Aris and Nikias, a bit thankful that their confrontation hadn’t resulted in a fist fight. She had nodded to Aris when he agreed that they should go out to explore, it would be a good thing to know more about this place.

Valae's head turned to the side when Joza addressed her.

“I’m from Tatooine.” She said, nodding. “I lived there my whole life, never been away ‘til I came to Voss.”

It still seemed a bit surreal that she was no longer living the life of a salvager, but there were still plenty of times when she longed for that life. It wasn’t that she missed having to scavenge crash sites, but more that she missed the simple times spent with her father. Back then she had no idea about the force, or the darker side of the galaxy.

“Yeah, I’ve seen you around too.” Valae smiled. “You were at Knight Mullarus’ lecture, right?”

It was always easy to spot Joza in a crowd, mostly due to her red hair. Now that she was getting a closer look at the fiery locks, she noticed how mousey her own hair looked in comparison. With that thought, she pulled her wild strands away from her face and tied them back into a pony tail. Her gaze shifted back towards the water, it seemed that the three were grouping together now.

“I wonder what they’re up to.” She said, her tone laced with curiosity.

Nikias said:
"Or what's going to happen. I survived the last attempt, and I won't die till I fullfill my personal quest."
Aris kept his cool as much as he could to that statement, he relentlessly wanted to respond to that statement by the Makrosian. Not only with words, the Hellyn eagerly wanted to show him that this time it would be different. He had promised himself that vengeance will be served someday upon the Makrosian prince. Being part of the same faction with Nikias worked the opposite of what usually one would expect. Rather than mending wounds, Aris' inability to let go of the past drove him to rip open those wounds. It was a dangerous path, he was told, but the Hellyn would not heed the warning. The Silver Jedi were slowly becoming less attractive to the former monarch's son. He felt limited.

Joza Perl said:
“If you’re that worried about mind tricks, Son of Damocles, I’d suggest you attend a lecture on mental barriers. And drop the superior tone.”
The black haired Hellyn's eyes shifted from looking over the horizon north to the Zeltron padawan, his facial expression still retaining its superiority which was further boosted by the fact that he was among the tallest here with Nikias. The blood of a ruler ran through his veins.

"We've been born professors on the topic of mental barriers." He reluctantly tilted his head at Nikias, his tone just slightly less superior. "The Hellyni are immune to mind-alteration, Jedi." The last word of his sentence came quite unexpected and even surprised him but deep inside the reason lied. His crave for power was growing every day more and more.

Nikias was not spared from Joza's direct approach of ending the conflict between them, after which she joined with the shy padawan Valae to discuss their backgrounds. Aris' attention was back on what was at hand, he craved to leave the group of padawans for the sake of not staying around Nikias. The more time he spent close to him, the more he urged to slay him. His fingers played a dance on the hilt of his lightsaber before they stopped, implying Aris was regaining his composure.

He caught with his eyes the figures of the three padawans that had embarked on an adventure in the sea, they seemed out of trouble right now and Aris believed they would be capable enough of handling trouble. Besides if it was something overwhelming for them, Aris had already called for more caution, he would not be responsible for the consequences. The rest that were on land and around him were Valae, Joza and Nikias. The former two were having a chit chat and enjoying the weather, while the latter Aris ignored.

Great.

He was stuck with a loud-mouthed Zeltron, a rival he desired to kill and a shy padawan from a planet called Tatooine. With a slight sigh, he moved a little bit further from them and resumed his watch of the main land for possible threats.

Nikias almost dignified Joza telling him not to pout with a snarky comment but instead thought that it wouldn't have been the best of ideas. Starting more arguments with other padawans wouldn't fix anything, especially if they were going to be surviving on the planet together he didn't want them to end up at each other’s throats. Though considering how calm the other padawans were he didn't have to worry about anything coming to blows unless either Aris provoked him or the other way around. Taking yet another deep breath Nikias watched the Sorel, Zak, and Orihime all gather around each other. It was intriguing and the fact that he saw them discussing something made him a bit more interested in what they had found.

While he had no problem with swimming Nikias hadn't brought swimming clothes for such an occasion and depending how long they would be on the planet he found it best to not get soaking wet at the moment. Instead he sunk down to the sand in a meditative posture and closed his eyes. Unlike the others he'd never been able to sense the force signature of the planet. He couldn't even really sense anything in the force whether it was a darkside presence or a nexus. Though he could use it, he just seemed as though he wasn't tooled specifically for anything. Even Aris had been able to sense the presence which left Nikias admittingly jealous. Taking a deep breath Nikias focused on calming himself and then stretching out with the force. He could feel it flowing through him he felt it at the edges of his consciousness waiting for him to claim it. Most Hellyni were able to use the force, and those that could had been born with more force power than most. Yet Nikias couldn't seem to summon it to himself. At first he thought to blame the mental immunity his people sported but soon thought otherwise considering how easily Aris had sensed the force.

Eyes shooting open and now a bit more angered from his failure to truly sense the planets force signature Nikias stood dusting the sand from his black pants. "What did you find? Are we going to start exploring soon?" He called out to the padawans gathered in the water.

Joza’s gaze watched Nikias as she strode off towards the shore, a bit of a frown dusting her lips. Clearly these two men did not get along. If their dislike was so severe, why did they bother coming on this adventure together? Maybe they didn’t expect the other to show up, but their deep seeded hatred for one another did not go unnoticed by the pink Jedi. Even if she couldn’t get inside their heads with her Zeltron abilities, it wasn’t that difficult to read the air around them. Joza made a mental note to keep an eye on their interactions from afar. She wasn’t as interested in their conflict as she was at attempting to keep the peace. After all, Jedi quarreling amongst each other wouldn’t do any good.

Again, a brow arched at the Hellyni’s words, though she appeared more disinterested this time around. “Then you probably shouldn’t be worrying about species with emotion altering pheromones.” So that explains why they didn’t work… Her gaze inched back to Nikias for a moment before sliding back towards the two closer Jedi. “You’re welcome to join us in sunbathing,” Her words lacked any warmth, but they also lacked their usual bite. Even though she doubted he’d take her up on the offer, it was an effort to seem open. Jedi. Ah, there was the sass.

Focusing back on Valae, Joza’s features softened. “Tatooine…desert, right?” That made a bit more sense as to why the other Padawan seemed more comfortable on the beach. Shifting to turn on her side slightly, the Zeltron gave a quick nod. “I was there, yes. Haven’t seen Krux around for some time…” She wondered where the Sanctum Knight had gone off to.

“Hm?” Squinting from the rays of the sun, Joza followed Valae’s gaze toward the water. “I’m not sure. Would you like to go find out?” She sat up, slipping her arms back into the sleeves of her robes as she pulled the fabric over herself once more. “We don’t have to go into the water. Have you ever walked along the shore? It’s quite refreshing, especially in a warm climate like this.” She gave the other Padawan an encouraging smile.

“Yep, all this almost makes me feel at home.” She scooped up a handful of sand and let it sift through her fingers. When Joza mentioned that she hadn’t seen Krux around for some time now, she frowned for a moment. Valae had also noticed his absence; Krux had been one of her first friends when she came to Voss. He had also been the one to jump into the ocean to save her on Arkas, she truly did owe him her life. Perhaps their paths would cross again, she hoped so.

Valae’s eyes caught sight of Joza’s friendly smile, and she nodded a couple times. “Sure, let’s go. It could be fun!” She said, returning
the smile, finally starting to open up in the presence of the others. Besides, it couldn’t hurt to walk a little closer to the water. She pushed herself up from the dunes and brushed the sand off of her clothing as she walked a little ways towards the water. Nikias had already called out to the padawans in the water, and she angled her ear towards the waves in case they should respond. The breeze was quite refreshing; the cool of the salty air brushing past her face took a bit of the edge off the sun’s heat.

She turned back towards Aris, and couldn’t help but think that he looked a bit... cranky. It was easy to see that he was still a bit wary of their surroundings, as his eyes continued to scan the area. Valae offered him a small smile, and perked her brows as if to say ‘are you coming too?’. Slowly she turned away and ventured a little closer to the waves, watching as the water came up to swirl around the soles of her boots. It still made her heart skip a beat, but she took a deep breath to focus and calm herself. As long as she didn’t stray from the others, things would be fine, right?

"...blah blah blah caves blah blah blah..."

"A cave!?" the Nautolan chirped, interrupting Orihime. Yes, that was the only word that made it through the defenses of his dense skull. Yes, his listening comprehension sucked. He was nine. He didn't do listening. At least, not very well.

The boy's head was replaced shortly after by his butt, as the youngling inverted himself so that he was pointed downward with his legs sticking up out of the water before he plunged beneath the waves in pursuit of the cave. A Force assisted pull of his arms and the child was sailing out along the continental shelf that guided the sea floor away from the shore. It was definitely one big mountain, though in the valleys of the sea the boy caught a glimpse of something that didn't seem to quite belong.

Hovering up over a coral bloom, the Nautolan's dark eyes peered beyond the sea life to inspect the marble-like column that the coral had grown up around. Rising upward slightly, the youngling realized he was looking at a building. A couple of buildings maybe, with what might have been a road of some kind. Bringing his arm up, the boy tapped the colorful band around his wrist. "There's terrestrial structures along the shelf," the child commented, talking into the comlink and omitting, for the moment, just how astral that was. "I think the water level used to be, like, lower or something."

She heard him and he seemed like her little sister Willow as it got a smile from her face. THe padawan felt towards the show with the force as the boy disappeared and she moved over to the side a little getting to some rocks to stand on while she listened. "WHo knows what might be down there." Well Zak could know he was the only one able to search without equipment like they would need... even holding their breath with breath control seeing in salt water was not as enjoyable as it sounded. She looked at him. "Did you see anythign else under there?" Not one to want to keep the others out of this all.

She was looking towards the shore with a small smile on her face and leaving after he could have a chance to speak as she motioned with her head for Sorel to come on back heading to the shore. Rising up a bit with attention while she stood up walking towards her stuff and shook out her hair a little. Wrapping her hands around them to wring and get the water out where she coul leaving it clumped together into a damp ponytail sitting down a little near the other two as she spoke. "Anything good you guys are seeing? Or finding?" She was curious and felt relaxed now touching the sand as she looked up at the island.

Seeing Sorel making her way to Joza and Valae, Nikias decided to go over and see what news the jedi had about what her and Zak had found in the water. The sand was incredibly thick and with each step that Nikias' took his boots sunk into the sand making it crunch in his wake. He had seen many beaches in his time and swam plenty, but now wasn't truly the time for that. They'd come to explore the planet and learn more about it, but what would one of the Masters have said if they'd been the one's overseeing the project. Would they have dealt with the padawans sitting around and enjoying themselves when there were other things to be done? The jedi seemed to be much more easy going than Nikias had thought the group of mystics would be. His people had always talked about how some seemed like machines in the way they conducted themselves.

"I don't think too much has been found on land." Nikias said waving across the shore. "What about out there? Did you find anything out?" Nikias said before looking around to ensure Zak was still within eyesight. While the boy was a jedi, and was a nautolan, Nikias still wanted to be sure that nothing had gone wrong with him. "Which of the islands will we be heading to next?" If they were going to explore the rest of the planet of the islands Nikias thought it best to do it before the sun completely fell and they had to set up camp.

An encouraging grin spread across the Zeltron’s face at Valae’s agreement, finding the other woman much more pleasant than the stubborn Hellyni men. Readjusting her robes, the pink Padawan would shake the sand from the fabric as she stood and brush her hair over her shoulders. The picturesque environment seemed to allow her to unwind a bit more easily than she had initially thought, but she could thank her racial traits for that.

Robes set in to place, Joza pursed her lips for a moment in thoughts before reaching to untie her boots. After shaking the footwear away and peeling off her socks, she rushed to catch up with the brunette Padawan. If they were going to be on a tropical island, Joza was going to make the most of it within reason. As they moved closer to the shore, the halfling would revel in the feel of the gritty sand beneath her feet. She’d only been to the beach a few times in her life, spending most of her childhood in the thick of Paradise City. Of course, that’s not to say that there hadn’t been plenty of resorts in the city of pleasure.

Breathing in, she let out a satisfied exhale as the waves lapped at her bare feet, pulling the sand out from beneath her feet so that they were slowly sinking in to the shore. “You should try taking your shoes off,” She commented towards the other female Padawan with a small smile. Glancing over at Nikias, a sudden mischievous glint appeared in her green eyes. “Watch this,” She leaned in closer to Valae a bit and whispered to her, gaze still on the white haired man. Extending her hand suddenly, she sent a Force push toward Nikias as he faced the water with the intent to baptize him into having fun. Was it childish? Absolutely. But after all of the fighting and exploring of harsh worlds, the Zeltron felt as if she needed to let loose…at the expense of others, of course.

She watched as Orihime and Sorel emerged from the water and now stood on the shore. It did seem that the area around them seemed to be rather quiet, but who knew what could be waiting for them on the next island. Valae listened as Nikias posed some questions, and she waited to see what Orihime’s response would be. It probably would be a good time to start moving on, while the sun was still high, she knew that they only had a few more hours of daylight.

Valae had walked barefoot along the sandy shore of Arkas, and she remembered that it had been quite a pleasant experience. She had almost forgotten about that part of her trip to the beach, and she smiled to Joza before removing her boots. The brunette walked along the waves, and let the water come up to meet her toes... but that was far enough, for now.

“It is pretty refreshing.” She grinned, feeling the wet sand move slightly beneath her feet.

Valae’s eyes lit up when the mischievous Zeltron turned her hand out towards the unsuspecting Nikias. She brought a hand up to her mouth, and stifled a laugh when she realized what Joza’s intention was. Now this was going to be fun.
