Painful Past

"That is ture, I would suspect she held back quite a lot, it has been a long time since the clone wars and the things that happened back then may be starting to lose the effect on her... either that or the different colors on your armor could have played a part". Sukai was unsure of which clone legion had carried out order 37, but one thing was for sure, the black dressed clone would have not been apart of it. Still that did not mean he never took part in order 66, somthing to look into carfully in the near future, just to avoid any other altercations.

"The clone wars? no people know about it, but to be honest it is just another war in the history of the galaxy, a war that did change things from the peaceful state but quickly overshadowed by what was to come". Following the clone wars there was the galactic civil war between the Empire and Rebel Alliance, which saw the restoration of a republic, though that was soon followed by the Vong invasion, a species from beyond the unknown regions, force dead and users of organic beings and crafts to fight". "That war ended with a republic victory if but just, soon followed by the One Sith conquest and a certain Twi'lek force user by Darth Talon, such wreaking havoc like never before". "I could keep going, talking about the galaxy wide plague, the netherworld events, clock work rebellion and more, but I think you understand, with all that has happened in the galaxy, such an event like the clone wars quickly became old news".

The rest of the troopers started to slowly regain their consciousness, dizzy from the force blast they got hit with from the Old lady. None of them were amused with what had just happened, since most of them never tasted defeat like this before. After all, they were still lucky they were still breathing after the attack.

"Well that's unfortunate that a war like the Clone Wars has now been forgotten." Drez frowned as he helped the rest of the troopers recover quicker. "But let me tell you, it was one hell of a war. The stories you might hear from each of these troopers might fascinate you." Drez then turned back around to face the younger woman. "Or it could get your mother triggered again and probably get us all killed."

Drez continued to speak again after adjusting the the equipment on his wrist. "I've heard a little bit of the wars after the Clone Wars. I also know that the Jedi were being purged long after the Clone Wars." Drez shook his head in disappointment. He served alongside the Jedi many times, so he despised how easily the Senate was manipulated into thinking that the Jedi were evil. "So tell me, what has become of the Jedi Order now?"

Sukai had to give a nod, she had certainly heard quite a lot from her mother about the war, most notable was the strange and very arctic tactics that they used. Some people said it was just carelessness on the Jedi's part and lack of experience as a whole, while others said it was since clones were viewed similar to droids as expendable. It made for an interesting read never the least and in all honestly having another clone to talk with about such a time period would be quite the ideal situation.

"I think I will take you up on that offer, and no mother will no get triggered by the stories, more your voice, face and armor that ticks her off, probably wandering around a Jedi temple fully armed and such didn't help either". She turned back to her mother who as this point was being helped up by [member="Kiso"] most likely to be walked away and given a small lay down, no doubt later to explain her actions to the Jedi council. She turned back to face the clone as he asked about the Order, Sukai raising her arm to speak but fell silent... which Jedi Order? For her she grew up in a galaxy with multiple Jedi Orders, it was kind of hard to image life back in the clone wars were their was only one order.

"Well ther was 'THEEE Jedi Order' but that was a small sect that worked and was lead in a similar way to the Jedi of your time, which was destroyed by a rouge Sith and his passy a few years ago. there is us, the Silver Jedi, based on a more military minded sect from the days of the Old Republic, there was and kind of still is the New Jedi Order, based on the main Jedi Order during the Old Republic". "They were scattered with the fall of the Galactic Alliance not long ago, but most are still alive, though you won't really find many on Coruscant these days... I hope that makes sense".

"Fortunately for us, we were wearing our armors. Who knows how much more damage could've been done without them." Drez shrugged as he helped other clones back up. They were not pleased at all that they were defeated, though they were lucky that they were still alive.

"Well, it's nice to see the galaxy tearing itself apart for no apparent or logical reason as usual." Ridge commented as he bent down to pick up his DC-15 rifle, while helping Drez to help the other clone troopers regain their consciousness.

"No battle would ever be any fun without us anyways." Lex snickered.

"Well, in our book, a Jedi is a Jedi. We don't care what sect a Jedi is in. As long as we're in good relations, we'll be pretty fine. After all, we did serve them in the Clone Wars." Drez said in a matter-of-factually tone. "Anyways, we'll explain our stories, once the boys here are up and running and the tensions are cleared."

"I guess but after a plague has killed over 60% of the galaxy, some rouge evolved AI has trying to wipe out all organics a few hundred years later and some super powerful Sith Witch transports half of the galaxy people into hell but 50 years later, yeah thing are kind of fucked". It was a mirical that their were even standing governments around but somehow things had been decent.

To be honest right now was probably the most peaceful it had been for a while, after the fall of the GA half a year ago and the attack on Coruscant no major conflicts had happened. Yes the Mandos were attacking people and war mongering, both the Sith and First Order were taking over worlds with military force, but aside from that no huge scale wars were currently happening.

"Well you may have a lot of introducing to do with all the orders and groups but I guess their is no major battle to partake in right now, I guess a good place to start would be with us of the Silver Jedi". "Perhaps once all your men are all better and checked out we could retire to the mess hall and discuss past events", she replied with a small smile.

"We're already used to seeing conflicts in the galaxy. We've survived the entirety of the Clone Wars, witnessed part of the Galactic Civil War, and now we're most likely going to be part of whatever war might ignite in the galaxy next." Ridge remarked as the rest of the clone troopers had finally gained their consciousness and were beginning to find their way back up to their feet.

"Let's get to the mess hall. My stomach is as angry as General Grievous. You better have some real food. I'm not settling for no more of those damn ration bars!" Lex commented on his growling stomach.

"Yeah, I guess we could be set for a proper introduction this time. Last time, we just met the headmaster or high council member, whatever they're called, and been assigned our mission. Now we're back here to get paid, but it wouldn't hurt to spend 'a bit' of time here." Drez informed the young female Jedi. Hopefully, this would be over quick so that they can get back to their plans...

"True but during the clone wars you went up against droid soldiers, in this day you will fight troops just as, and sometimes more experienced then you along with more force users". "I know you clones are a cut above the rest but you are not invincible, remember that, do not underestimate those you will fight, there are only a few hundred of your kind left, wouldn't want you to become extinct". A fact that could not be avoided, though it was nice to see that the clone legacy still lived, it was a surprising that so many had been carbon frozen due to different reasons. Then again considering that several million were around after the war a few hundred still being around was not a hard idea to grasp.

"Ration bars? what do you take this place for? a front line military outpost? no here, thanks to a few business owning Jedi we have access to top of the line food". "Hell if you want we can duck over to Trandosia and visit the 5 star hotel run by one of the senior knights if you wish", not a sentence she thought she would ever say. Giving a beckoning wave she started to lead the small squad down the hall, her mother having since left, headed to the council chamber to explain the breach of peace.

"Head master, you mean the grand master? I hear she is quite busy these days, though I am not totally sure, all that I do know is that the Silver Jedi do need all the help they can get". Mainly against Mandaloiran raids, as it stands the main clan leaders wanted to avoid war, but let their underlings do what they want and use the 'we have no power over individual Alors excuse. "I think my older sister will be off duty to having lunch, could sit with her and talk a bit more, not sure I'd be able to converse with a whole squad".

"It might be true that the Separatist army comprised of battle droids, but that doesn't take away the fact that even a droid could get a lucky shot on you." Ridge shrugged. "Besides, the droids' strength were only their numbers. We, on the other hand, could at least think, adapt, aim most importantly: aim." Ridge concluded.

"Now, any dumbass with a blaster is better than those standard battle droids." Drez started. "Now commando droids, magnaguards, and droidekas? You were lucky to get out alive if you faced them." Drez finished his remark with a slight chuckle.

"Those droids could pack serious punch, but nothing we couldn't handle, so don't worry about us clones going extinct any time soon." Kano confidently said with a wink before addressing another one of her statements. "So you mean to tell us that hundreds of Fett clones are still alive today?" Kano said with a hint of confusion and skepticism.

Lex scoffed. "Well, we lived off ration bars for years. I didn't expect real food, so what are we waiting for? Let's go before I turn into a Sith!" He joked as he started following Drez and the other clones down the hall.

"Yeah, well we'd be glad to help anytime." Izmar informed the Jedi. These troopers served the Jedi before, but this time it'll be different. This time, they'll be free to make their own decisions, and they won't take suicide orders from any crazy Jedi either.

Ghost, Flak, and Wooley didn't feel like talking yet, mainly because they were still busy from the old woman's attacks. Fortunately for them, this Jedi seems much more friendlier, at least for now.

"How many more of your family are we going to meet?" Lex muttered under his breath. He hoped that whoever they were going to meet wasn't crazy.

"Oh, and just a heads up. I'm not a clone, they are though." Drez whispered to the Jedi.

Sukai wondered what would happen if the clones came face to face with the battle droids used by the current CIS, would be a funny little awkward reunion, considering that their were plenty from the clone wars ear that had been broken out of storage. "Just saying, expect the enemy of this century to be much better shots, take cover and actually use tactics that make them not so easy to kill, never underestimate your enemy after all, such only leads you to being killed in very silly ways that could be avoided". Most notable standing in the open and shooting at the approaching force, true over the course of the clone was such archaic tactics became less common, though from what she knew many clone causalities had been the result fighting.

"Perhaps in the field but here at the main temple you eat real food, almost anything you can desire can be made here", being on a major trade route also helped but either way Sasori was able to provide almost anything to the Silver Jedi, at quite the nice price too. "Oh my family, well you met my mother, my bother was the one who came to pick her up and my older sister will be the last one here, though there are more.. much more". Considering they were a family of vampires there were literately dozens of family members. "It's a long story of how we ended up here, each of use were draw into the Silver Jedi ranks in different ways and at different times". She hung around until being picked up by a Master, her brother was forced to join by her mother after his last 'job' and her sister.

The group continued towards the mess hall, Sukai raising an eyebrow at Drez's comment, unaware of normal soldiers like him that fought in clone armor, or in the republic at all for that matter, it would be something to ask her grandmother about. Rounding the corner the group would be greeted by another Atrisian women, herself taller then Sukai wearing an eye patch over he right eye and donned in a ranger uniform, "so this is your little merry band of close little sis, didn't expect them to be clones". "Ah hello [member="Kiso"], say me on you HUD didn't you, well yes this is a group mother 'ran' into". "Ouch, not good, anyone die"? "No thankfully, but I brought them here for some food".

"Sure, maybe our tactics may seem a bit reckless to you, but they were effective for the most part. The difference between us clones and droids is that we can improvise, adapt, and overcome." Kano said, remembering how much the 501st had to adapt to the situation during the Battle of Umbara during the Clone Wars. They were temporarily placed under Pong Krell's leadership on Umbara while Anakin Skywalker was urgently called back to Coruscant. Krell's tactics were extremely reckless, and the casualties were high, so the clones had to start making their own strategies and tactics, which later proved effective.

"I'm starting to like this place even more." Lex commented on there being real food at the Jedi Temple. However, he didn't expect the Jedi to hear his remark about her family, which caused him to be a bit embarrassed.

"The only thing that really bothers me about being alive at this time, is that everybody we once knew is dead." Drez said, feeling a bit down at the idea that all his friends and acquaintances were gone. Jedi, senators, and troopers to name a few. At least there was still his small band of clones, which he would do all he could to keep them alive. The galaxy obviously changed a lot in the past 8 hundred centuries, so until they get at least a basic idea of what's going on exactly, he wasn't going to go mess around with anybody.

"People you once knew no longer being alive, yes that is something mother has to deal with a lot, though hopefully that has passed, anyways let us get something to eat, the place has a buffet like service to it, just walk up and collect what you want from the tray". "If anyone ask just say Yumi invited you, they will understand though I guess you already have clearance if you landed on the planet and were walking up to the council chambers to talk with the grand master". Actually that could be a talking point, what missions was the grand master sending them on, most non force users missions usually went to the hands of the rangers and marines, it made her wonder what job the clones had been hired to do.

First things first was food, bot herself and Kiso going for the rather traditional Atrisian styled cooking of rice, fried vegetables, fried chicken with green onions, fish and shrimp with some Miso soup, the two girls going over to find a large table for which all the members of the clone squad could fit. Both watched the the clones acquired their won food, once more waving them over to the vacant seats to the side, getting a few stares from some other Jedi, mostly Padawans. It wasn't ever day that a varying squad of clone troopers, a Riben-Jin Jedi Knight and Atrisian Ranger cyborg shared a lunch table together.

"Alright!" Lex cheered at the thought of eating as much as he could. He quickly grabbed a tray and put a lot of food on it, probably more than he'll eat anyways.

"Hey, go easy on yourself Lex. We wouldn't want to have to drag you back to the ship." Flak chuckled.

"Well that's nice to know, but would there really be anyone who'd question our presence?" Ridge replied and asked the Jedi.

All 8 of the troopers were obviously ecstatic to have the privilege and luxury of eating real food, albeit food they've never tried before. It wasn't everyday either they could sit down and relax and enjoy eating. Usually, they'd have to eat something quick and carry on with a mission. The troopers quickly acquired their exotic meals and proceeded to sit down alongside the two Jedi they were with. Of course, they were always going to get some stares from anyone else present there, mainly due to the fact that they were foreigners. None of that bothered them, however, and carried on towards their seats. Upon sitting down, each trooper removed their helmets, Drez being the only one with a different face among the group.

Sukai though about it a little, "well they would more question your presence due to the fact very little people have ever seen a clone trooper, your armor is also considered very out of date and archaic to most to it would raise a few eye brows". That and the clones still didn't have the best reputation among Jedi, less so since the current First Order and a now defunct Imperial Remnant on Kamino used clones of the Fett line too.

As the clones took their head off Kiso quite literately scanned their faces, though kept here eye on Drex, "you are not a clone, your biometics and look are different, were you some sort of new clone they made near the end of the war or just a regular solider in the GRA"? It was document that certain worlds had military froces that aided the republic in fighting but both women were not aware if regular humans served in the clone army, unless they were officers of some sorts. Sukai seemed to be just as interested, beaming a 'tell us tell us' expression at the black armored clone as they sat down at the tables.

The clones knew that their armor was obviously going to be outdated, but they weren't thrilled with the fact that it was pointed out to them. They could always upgrade the technologies in their armor but they weren't exactly onboard with the idea of changing the layout or design of the armor. The armor had became part of them.

"Well, it might be outdated, but it has always held up." Izmar replied.

Drez noticed from the corner of his eye that one of the Jedi paused their gaze on him. He immediately knew then that she was going to comment on his facial appearance; his instincts just told him so. His instincts proved him correct when the gazing Jedi questioned his origins and his role during the Clone Wars. "You see, I was just a regular guy living on the streets of Coruscant at the time. My quality of life was horrendous, so I decided to sign up for the Coruscant Guard. Then, a certain chain of events, which is a very long story, led to me being tested on with a new serum the Republic scientists had engineered, which allowed me to become somewhat like a supersoldier. The armor and weaponry installed in it is also something you've probably never seen before as well." Drez took a sip of his drink. "I'm still mortal, but I'm not easy to kill." He joked.

Sukai gave a small shrug to the words about their armor, true it could still protect them from most thing but the rules of war had changed. "Well I think you should get an upgrade, along with fighting actual equally skilled combatants these days along with more Sith certain weapons are not allowed". "Slug throwers, especially armor piecing types are used quite a lot these days, mainly in taking down force users but also to punch through armor like the ones you have". "Also there are not rules against disruptor rifles anymore, expect to see some of those in the field once in a while nasty things that can make you lose a limb regardless of what armor you have". She'd hate to see a such a diverse squad of clones die in their first battle due to under-rated protection.

On the other hand Drez own story was quite the interesting tail. "So you are a super solider made by the republic in the waning day of the war, what you made to take on that robot general and those new commando droids the CIS people"? Kiso asked with a slightly cocked head, quite interested in someone else who was considered a super solider, even if there circumstances were very different.

"That's too bad. I liked the fact that I could outfight an enemy, but now if the enemy is going to use overpowered weapons, the balance tipped already then." Izmar commented, voicing his distaste for the usage of such overpowered weapons like disruptor rifles.

"I thought that there could only be two Sith at a time. You know, the rule of two: only two never more never less." Ridge commented, not fond of the idea that they might encounter Sith on the battlefield sometime.

"Well, I'd approve upgraded armor, but I'd have it the exact same design." Kano said. "Stronger armor and better tech and equipment is something one wouldn't say no to. However, this armor design defines who we are." He finished.

Meanwhile, Drez was having a conversation with Kiso about his own origins. While he wasn't going to reveal much about the serum, he still enjoyed the feeling of seeing someone astonished about him. "Well, during the final year of the Clone Wars, the Jedi and Chancellor were willing to try new methods to try and win the war, which is the main reason why I was injecting with the serum. If you have any history records of the Clone Wars, I probably won't be in them. I was sort of like a secret weapon that was never documented." He concluded his statement. He really didn't want to dive into details because he didn't want any potential weaknesses to be exploited.

"Well if you want the CIS still uses mainly droids, though they are our allies at the moment so you probably wont be fighting them any time soon, but if you are put on just the regular front lines in battle you may be able to easily fight Sith Troopers". "Just saying that because it seems your groups want to be used for special missions, your own little story just seems to back it up, and if you are put on special missions certain enemies will be well equipped to fight back". It was just how the galaxy had changed after the vong wars, with threats like them around new weapons were more or less needed, and as not real power managed to take control of the galaxy every faction was always trying to one up each other. As such certain powers like the Sith were always pushing the ethical boundaries to counteract the more advanced technology of the Jedi forces, making war all the more deadly.

"I think you can keep the over all design but maybe make it out better material, plastiod these days is not exactly front line troop armor any more, as for the Sith, well they kind of went back onto the whole rule of 2, actually they did that only a few hundred years after the clone wars, since then new Sith Empire pop up every now and the". "Only problem is now there are the First Order and their Knights of Ren along with people trying to constantly remake the Galactic Empire that came just after the clone wars". It made for a hard situation, being surrounded on all sides by powerful dark side factions, all more then eager to end the light and Jedi.

As Sukai talked with the rest of the squad Kiso focused on the only human member of the squad. "That seems interesting, I know that in the latter parts they Republic did things for when it turned into the empire, who know perhaps you were the predecessor to the dark troopers, your armor certainly seems to hint to that". Along with the fact he was a regular human, something that would become a main staple for the following galactic power.

The clone troopers frowned at the thought that the CIS was revived. They had once sided with the Jedi in their war against the separatists' battle droids, but now, they went and allied with them. Even though over 800 years had passed since the Clone Wars, surely history couldn't have been forgotten that easily. The Clone Wars was probably the most memorable event in the history of the galaxy. Kano clenched his fist in anger and felt the urge to rip the first droid he sees with his bare hands, even if it wasn't similar to the battle droids of the Clone Wars.

"Sure, the enemy would probably be well equipped, but you're forgetting the fact that we were bred from birth to be perfect soldiers. We are even genetically modified." Izmar said in a matter-of-fact tone. It was true, clone troopers were modified to have larger lungs and faster reaction times compared to a regular human being.

"Just give us the same weapons we might see the enemy use on the battlefield and I assure you, we'll easily beat them." Flak said as he crossed his arms.

"Not even weapons. Just put any of us in a fighting ring with one of those crapheads and we'd win." Ghost added as well to the conversation. Sure they might've sounded a bit cocky to the Jedi, but they were fairly confident in their own abilities to beat any enemy trooper.

"Well if we're going to be seeing Sith running around during battle, maybe we should start wearing cortosis armor or something similar to it." Ridge suggested, as he looked over at Lex, who was uninterested in the conversation and kept on stuffing himself with the food available.

Drez smiled as he shook his head at [member="Kiso"]'s first sentence. "I was the only 'successful' experiment. All the other volunteers were either killed by it or went insane and rogue, unfortunately killing dozens of people to say the least. I had to stop them." He said as he shrugged. "The only thing dark troopers had in common with me was the armor color, but my armor was far more advanced than anything back in the day. I don't know about now though."

Well they were certainly energetic that was for sure, each and everyone of the clone coming up with their won 'oh ima beat them good' lines. It was a little entertaining, even if Sukai was trying to be serious with the matter but if they wanted to have a little bit of fun why stop em. "Well we will just have to send you into battle to see your skills, as my mother would say the battlefield is were you learn the most, but I woulnd't follow her exact example". One which involved trial an error along with blaster bolts to the chest on a regular basis. "Well for armor cortosis is a viable option, though Sasori, the main company we get our equipment from has a wide range of other maritals you could make your armor out of". That and the fact many sabers had duel energy feeds to prevent the short circuiting that cortosis caused, meaning it was just another saber resistant marital to most. "If you want after we eat i can show you to the armory, maybe update your weapons while you are there". The Rangers woundn't mind if some of their surplus equipment went to these guys, not point in having it lay around and not get used.

The mention of the armory quickly got Kiso's attention, breaking concentration away from Drex for a few second. "You looking to have them fitted out with standard issue stuff, or you indirectly asking me to get them some good stuff that only officers can attain". Being a captain herself such weapons and gear was well within her reach, it would not be very hard to acquire the necessary items to equip a squad like the one seated down.

"No thanks." Ridge spoke up first. He didn't want to be thrown into a battle for no reason anymore. If it wasn't a cause he believed in, he wouldn't risk his life for it. "We've got a lot of battle experience, so I think we don't need to go into battle now."

"Sasori must be a newer manufacturer then. Am I right?" Flak asked as he pushed his tray away from him, indicating he was done with his food. "I'd just like armor that would protect me from sabers and make me virtually immune to blaster fire, without changing the design of course."

"Yes please, I'd love to get my hands on some new tech." Kano said as he clapped his hands together and looked over at Lex. "Hurry up, will ya? I'd like to check out this armory."

Drez quickly came up with an answer. "It seems as if you are able to read between the lines. I'm impressed." Drez lied. He just wanted to show off the features of his armor, but if Kiso believed that he wanted to upgrade his squad's equipment and tech, then why not?
