Painful Past

Losing is tempoary, giving up is permanent.
Sukai gave a small shurg to the first clone trooper, perhaps the rangers would be up for a training session some time, either way she was interested to see clone troopers in action. As for Sasori, "well it has only come up in the last decade or so, but it's become one of the galaxies leading manufactures on armor, small arms, medical and technological items". "It also owns quite a few smaller companies that basically help extend it's corporate cloud all over the galaxy, what's more it's CEO is a Jedi master here in the SJO". Hence why they were always able to get the best stock right away before anyone else, gave the Silver's that extra edge over the enemy.

Kiso turned her head to the other clone as he whooped with excitement, "careful now, can't let people know I'm letting some almost mercenary like group access to our arms". "If you are all finished with your food we could take a quick trip to the armory, maybe stop in at the practice range afterwards, let you test out some things". She expected them to instantly go for armor upgrades, such would take a while to fully develop, but personal shields new weapons and gear could be taken care of right away.

"Ironic. The Jedi once fought against mass-producing weaponry and here we are now, a Jedi is the CEO of one of these corporations." Drez muttered.

"Alright, I take it now that all of you are done with your meals now." Kano commented as he got up to put his tray away.

"I think I ate a little too much." Lex said nauseously. He didn't want to throw up all the food he just ate all over the table. Besides making him look bad, he had enjoyed the food and didn't want it all to go back to waste.

"Relax Kiso, we'll slip in and out. Nobody will even notice we're there." Izmar said in an attempt to reassure him.

"Mass producing weapons? Ture sasori does do that but they mainly deal with medical technology transports, along with clothes and other advances with computers and programing". And even then most weapons were closed market to only the Silver Jedi and their allies, would be quite a silly idea to sell your own tech to your enemies.

"Anyways I'll take the lead here, Sukai isn't a ranger and doesn't have access to the armory, you'll need my credentials to get inside". With a small hand gesture she lead the squad out of the mess once they had all finished their meal, her younger sister tagging along but for the time being taking a back seat. Their walk took a few minutes, the temple grounds and range base being quite separate from one another, the architecture changing from the pristine white and slightly decorated halls to a more military styled compound.

A few rangers would walk past the small group, each giving Kiso a sharp salute before going about their business as normal, only giving a few quick glances at the clone troopers.

Drez didn't really trust the idea that the weapons weren't mass produced. It was a huge source of income in the galaxy and the SJO would be stupid if weapons weren't manufactured and sold. They probably didn't want their weapons to fall into enemy hands, which is understandable.

Drez and the clone troopers followed [member="Kiso"] out of the mess hall towards the armory. They observed as the pristine halls faded into military-style hallways. When passing the rangers, the troopers nodded slightly in acknowledgement and carried on following Kiso.

"What can we expect to see in the armory?" Drez asked Kiso.

Kiso pulled up a lit of information in her HUD, filing out ranger classed items from the Jedi weapons and equipment, "well armor ranges to basic blast suits and flight suits to new versions of Katana armor", herself making a nod towards Izmar. "In addition there are some interesting stealth suits, but I don't think I can let you have those". Not that she believed a group of battle hardened clones were the type to don a less armored stealth suit and go around all sneaky sneaky.

"In terms of small arms we have assaults rifles, launchers, ammunition variations and weapon attachments quite a lot to really go through". It would have taken quite a while to list off all the equipment so she thought it best just to show the troopers in. A large blast door in their wake opening after a few biometic scans of the captain, leading into an armory that would make a weapon smith drool. "Here we are, the Ranger armory, have a look around and see what takes your fancy, but only 2 things per solider, can't give you everything".

"I think we'll pass up on the armor this time." Drez said. "Besides, none of us can go a few minutes without the urge of making some noise. Stealth armor wouldn't work for us. Plus, our armor already has a few elements to help in stealth missions." He said, referring to the couple of upgrades they had made in their short time back in the galaxy.

The clones were eager to see the various blasters they were about to see. They were very curious to see how far the weapons had advanced over 800 years, though they weren't expected anything too crazy.

Once the bio scan of [member="Kiso"] was complete and the doors to the armory opened, they followed her inside. The amount of supplies and weapons available made some of the clones drool. However, once Kiso said that each trooper could only get 2 things, disappointed flooded the group's emotions.

"Alright then, looks like we gotta make our choices count." Ghost said, clearly overwhelmed by the huge supply but disappointed that he could only take two.

"Care to explain which ones are the best for each scenario: close quarter, huge battles, demolitions, space boarding, et cetera?" Ridge asked Kiso, hoping to at least take something the group would be able to utilize.

"Well the armor thing does make the paper work for the 'missing' items easier, those are much harder to misplace", that and some work would have been needed to fit the troopers. Though they probably took very similar sizes she doubted the rangers had armor in Jango Fett orientation, and the quarter master would probably think something is up upon getting a request for several almost identical armor outfits.

Standing to the side Kiso crossed her arms, a small coy smile across her face as she watched the gaggle of clones shift through the different weapons on display. "We have a few shot guns and assaults rifles that are good in CQC, the latter having a few nice compact, some sniper rifles, not many, but our main display is our heavy weapons, repeating blasters, grenade launcher all that cool stuff".

"Walking over to the group she directed their attention to a side bench. "In addition we have a good amount of attachments along with various ammo types for your weapons to give them that extra stopping power, mix and match to your hearts content, but don't go to over board okay"? "Oh also another thing, we ranger tend to use slug throwers more then blasters since we are expected to fight saber and force users a lot, so if any of you are blaster only peoples you're gonna have a small selection of things to look through".

The Warfighter
"Eh, don't worry about the armor. We'll probably craft new ones ourself in the future." Drez shrugged as he waved his hand.

The clone troopers searched through the weapons for stuff that would suit them, but they mostly found slugthrowers. They'd be willing to use any weapon at any time but they weren't used to carrying slugthrowers, but rather using blasters. Plus, all these new weapons looked unique to them as well. Either way, most of them favored the designs and mobility of the assault rifles and submachine guns over the heavy weaponry. The numerous attachments present also made it clear that there were a lot of customization possibilities.

"So on average, how many lightsaber users would be present per battle?" Kano asked. Because if what Kiso was saying was true, they'd probably have to change their loadout options to be able to efficiently counter enemies.

[member="Kiso"]

"No problems, though if that is the case can offer you the ranger stations to work on them, we have quite the advanced tech to make almost any sort of armor here, just don't go to over board, power armor may be good but just as many countermeasure exist these days". In her mind due to all the technological advancement a suit of armor that was balanced seemed the most protective, one that could take on different attacks but not speiclise in one area.

"Saber users? at least a squad, but it depends, people like you when in a fight may be going up against apprentices and possibly a knight at most, the Jedi take care of masters most of the time, so you have be finding your group of 8 going up against three, bet you never had to face those odds in the clone wars". From what her mother said the Sith back then only have two members and the other force users on their side were dark Jedi numbering no more then 5.

"We'd like to, but maybe some other time. We just don't have enough time right now to craft individual armor for each of us." Drez replied. He'd rather make the armor on their own so that nobody would know the weaknesses and weak spots from the start.

"Is there an option for us to test these weapons at a shooting range or something?" Izmar questioned. He wasn't willing to take a weapon without knowing what firepower it would guarantee. Besides, he had picked up way too many duds of weapons on the battlefield in the past, but he didn't have an option. Now he does.

"Can we also have a demonstration on some of these slugthrowers as well? This stuff is too foreign for our tastes." Ghost said as he looked down at the rifle he had in his arms.

[member="Kiso"]

"So it be, offer is always open, I could understand why you would be busy", the galaxy was always looking for trained guns, and clone troopers were quite well trained, guaranteed cracks shots and good team work, not a bad choice for any military commander. Hopefully they would stick with more republic based nations, she'd hate to have to kill them fighting on opposite sides of a conflict between the many imperial powers roaming the galaxy.

"Yes you can work the weapons at the shooting range, pretty standard layout, I'm certain you guys can work it fine, we make them quite user friendly for new recruits coming into the rangers and regular military". She beckoned the troop to follow her once they got all their weapons picked and the respective ammo, probably a new feel, to carry 6 mags with them and no one simple gas clip capable of having 100 shots in it.

"Demonstration? certainly, let me give you a run down, first locate the eject button, press it to eject a mag, pull it out and push a new one in", she stated, carrying out the motions with her own rifle. "Once it is in and your hear the click of the bolt pull back on the cocking mechanism, this varies, some slug throwers don't use them and just have a single rail system, but most automatic ones to". She pointed out such a mechanism on the clones new weapons, "then, you point and click, simple, oh and don't be surprised if the sound and recoil is more then expected".

"These weapons just need a bit of getting used to. Nothing we can't handle." Kano said as he dropped a couple of ammo magazines. None of them were used to using ballistic weapons anyways since energy weapons' ammunition was more compact, more efficient, and lighter to carry around. However, since it seems that enemy lightsaber and force users were going to be a common thing on the battlefield, ballistic weapons were going to be of more use to them than energy weapons.

The troopers carefully watched [member="Kiso"]'s demonstration of properly reloading a ballistic weapon and gave it a try themselves. Drez got it on the first try, though the others got the magazines jammed into the gun the first couple of times. He didn't wait for them though and immediately aim down sights and took a couple shots at the targets available in the shooting range.

He immediately took note of the loud firing sound and the overly bright muzzle fire. Of course, there was recoil, but it was manageable. Attachments would come a long way to improving the gun. "Do you have any attachments here like a suppressor for example?" He asked as he dropped the magazine into his hand.

Kiso stood to the side, watching as the clone followed her demonstration, they were quick learners, that was for sure. It was kind of fun to see their reactions to the kick back and noise of most of the weapons, something many found to be annoying but many time Kiso had use the sound of a slug thrower to her advantage. The slight amount of fear the loud sound induced, the projectile being almost invisible to most and the echo it caused making people unsure of just how close it was. Made the enemy paranoid sometimes and if not used to slug throwers panic a little.

She turned her head to face [member="Drez"] as he asked about attachments, a coy smile forming on her lips, "that we do, along with sights, grips and other attachments to make your life easier". her hand pointed over to a chest next to the ammunition crates. "In there you will find some silencers for your guns, they are easy to equip, most slip on and a clamped in place, quite universal too".

The Warfighter
"That would be great." Drez said as he placed his gun down on the table beside him. Attachments always made handling weapons easier, though they could get a bit heavier as well. Nothing too significant though.

Drez left the clone troopers to fiddle around with the ballistic weapons and get used to them as he walked over to Kiso. He made sure that none of them could hear him first before he whispered. "Do you have any tasks that need to be carried out? Demolitions, assassinations, recoveries? Basically anything really." He said. If he was being honest with himself, he'd rather go do something productive with his time than just sit back and do nothing for weeks at a time. Sure, a few days rest back at their base was great, but doing nothing for a while was on a different level.

[member="Kiso"]

Kiso brought a a hand to her chin thinking about it for a moment as [member="Drez"] queried into possible 'needs' that the Silver Jedi may have at the moment. "To be honest not much really, the only possible person I could recomend you to is Jedi Knight Varindar, she runs sting operations against slavers regularly". "Other then that there is nothing on mind, the Sith Empire hasn't sent any raids against us for a while, not since we kicked their asses in the last one, the Mandos have been silent too and probably don't want to get on the CIS bad side", as for other Sith groups nearby, the New Sith Order was more or less gone, scattered to the point of no longer being a threat.

"If you want to know more information I'd suggest talking with the colonel, hell be able to fill you in more then me... need to do a software update come to think of it", her hand reaching to her eye patch, disconcerting the cybernetic device for the time being as a reminder. "For now you are more the welcome to walk around and take a load off, though my I ask why you came to the temple in the first place"?

[member="Drez"]

The Warfighter
"Alright, where can I find this Varindar?" Drez asked, looking at the clones trying out their new and loud ballistic weapons. They were sure as hell excited about these weapons. He thought.

Drez looked away as [member="Kiso"] messed around with her cybernetic eye. He usually felt bad for anyone who had to use cybernetics, something he wished he would never have to use himself. "We came back here to collect our bounty from a small task assigned to us by one of the higher ups in command here before getting attacked by an old woman." He grinned behind his helmet.

"She runs a hotel on Trandosia... I know kind of strange but that is where she lives most of the times", though not unheard of for a Jedi to own a company, running a 5 star hotel on the lizard men home world was quite the interesting career path.

Her hands continued to fiddle around with as the clones continue to talk, a small snigger from her at the mention of mother, "try ancient, she been around so long it puts most museum exhibits to shame". "I'd ask about the bounty hunting mission but I have a feeling that is not my business at the moment, glad to see things went well for you".

The Warfighter
"Well thanks for the tip." Drez replied as he motioned the clones to start packing up to leave. "We wouldn't want to get into another fight with your mom. Maybe there might be a different outcome this time." He said as he shrugged.

"Do you mind pointing us to the right direction out of here now?" He asked. Although he knew where to go, he wanted to explore the area a bit before leaving.

[member="Kiso"]

"Probably, your lucky she didn't have a weapon on her, good hunting and hope you don't bite the dust anytime soon", she replied, giving a wave to the several clones as they started to get packed up. "To get out, just follow that hallway, will take you back to the main entrance, from there I guess you can find your way to where ever you need to go, I think the grand master will want that report you were originally here for". With that what started out as quite an awkward encounter proved to be more fruitful, sort of.
