Possible merger with the Red Ravens--Weigh in here!

So, we have an opportunity to merge with the Red Ravens Faction who have gone into a downward spiral of inactivity. Basically what we would do, would be absorb their faction into the Techo Union.

What could this mean for the TU?

• Possibly more territory. This depends highly on RPJs and Staff.
• Possibly a few more members (whoever's left in the RR may join the TU)
• Opportunities. The sky's the limit with what we could do with a planet like Nar Shaddaa. Corey came up with the idea of using criminals to make an anti-crime division or something like that. Or we could have a crime division that operates in secret.
• The victory of capitalism as the TU monopolizes the galaxy

How does everyone feel about a merger?

It's not yet certain if a possible merger would yield in territory gain, that's always a question with mergers and we will have to see wait and see if it would be the case here.

That being said, I am not against this merger.

It presents opportunity and that is what the Techno Union is all about.

Of course we would have to be careful when it came to the admittance of troublesome elements during the merger.

The Techno Union and the Red Ravens are radically different factions founded on radically different concepts. The Techno Union is about big business and scientific advancement. The Red Ravens are criminals. Crooks, thieves, ne'er-do-wells. Adding drug peddlers and human traffickers to our ranks is only going to dilute what the Techno Union was supposed to be about.

Unless they're going to abandon their criminal enterprises, incorporate, and start conducting real above-board business, they don't belong here.

I abstain in this decision process, but I do agree with part of what [member="Adekos"] said. If we're going to accept criminals into the Union, they need to be reconditioned to be members of society.

Let them go minor and make ties with remaining members if we need some shady work done.
