Prisoner of Fate

It took a few moments for the words Ra had written to actually penetrate his comprehension. When they did though, he reacted out of fear, even though Ra had never hurt him since he wound up in her holding cell. The nexu knew something was with him due to the way Ra had been treating him, blocked him from running into the fireplace and hurting himself with a growl.

For whatever reason, Flinx felt betrayed by her alignment. If he learned about her past, then he would understand why she was a sith lord.

However, before he could hurt himself more than he might have if Ankhaara wasn't there to keep him from going head over heals into the fireplace, Ra reached out with the Force to try and place him in a hold. It was a light hold, but strong enough he couldn't walk. If he tried hard enough, he could break the hold, but hopefully it drew his attention to the fact he was walking around an unfamiliar location and might get hurt.

Ra was glad there wasn't anything really fragile around as she felt a wave of Force flow out of her friend. When this happened to her, she had basically destroyed a small village and killed everybody that was in it. Whatever he was going to do, Ra was prepared for the worst.

As Flinx found that he couldn't move he noticed he wasn't being attacked or hurt, he even felt a little reassured when whatever was furry was nuzzling his hand trying to comfort him. "I-I'm sorry ra that just rattled loose memories of my father and his torment." Flinx settled down and relaxed fully knowing he is trapped any way he looked at it.

Once Flinx settled and calmed down, Ra released him and would move to guide him back to the chair he had been sitting in.

"Not all sith are you like your father."

Ra wasn't like what most people would consider a sith. She wasn't normally violent or bloodthirsty, didn't go out seeking fights and actually tried to avoid violence. She was evil when the need came up though.

Flinx just slumped in his chair. "Ra I'm weak and defenseless." He clicked his tongue and slipped the furry creature the meat from his breakfast sandwich. "Please ra I'm at your mercy. I am at my lowest, rebuild me to serve you." He hoped that she would spare his life so that he could be close to him.

Her friend sat back down and slumped his shoulders. He admitted he was weak and defenseless and begged her for mercy. To help him rebuild and serve her. Did he think Ra was going to hurt him?

"I'm trying to help you, Flinx and Ankhaara knows better than to take food from others. Besides, you need to eat."

In her training of the nexu, Ra had made sure she wouldn't attack everybody or take any food that was offered. People could easily poison something and kill her cat.

Flinx slowly ate at his friends request. Could he even call her that? She has been right so far, she hasn't hurt him and she had not so much as laid a hand on him other than to comfort him and to guide him. He still felt like bantha fodder. He still thought of himself as a different person than the optimistic carefree child he was all those years ago. He felt used and worn, he felt that he wasn't worth the effort ra was giving.

"Ra please help me to get my sight back. I need my sight at the least."

Ra watched as he ate his food and nodded as he did. He would the rustle of her clothes as she did so.

"I'm not sure how to help or what to do, honestly. Maybe you just need to know you're accepted for who you are. Meditate a little, that has nothing to do with the Force. It may also help you reconnect. You feel like crap and I know this. There's no way to hide these from me and you are worth the effort."

If he didn't pull away, she would lightly touch him on the arm he wasn't using to eat with to make a point of her words. Perhaps just the contact would help him.

Flinx sighs defeated as a darkness falls across his heart. He doesn't have the patients to wait for his sight to come back. He rises and tries to stumble his way to some kind of histories. He wants to read up on the force. Not dark, not light, the force. "Ra please help me. I'm gonna wear this gift of yours out till my sight returns. Here kitty kitty, you can keep me warm and company while I read, that way ra can tend to business."

Flinx pulled away from her touch, but still asked for help. It was a contradiction in actions and words.

"Flinx, she's not that kind of cat...in fact she could tear you in two. I've trained her to only attack on command or if she sees me fighting."

Standing up, Ra would stop him from running into anything and place her hands on his shoulders. Though he would not see her looking at him, he would hopefully know it within him she was.

"Take a hold of my arm, here." She placed one of his hands on her upper arm and turned to lead him in the direction of her library. "You are welcome to use that device until it breaks. I can get another one."

Once at the library, Ra turns the light on so she can see and take Flinx to the first of her many shelves. As long as he didn't wander far from them, he wouldn't break anything. Cautioning him not to wander around, she let placed the hand holding her shoulder onto the first shelf.

"I'll be in here if you want anything else."

Flinx sits down in a corner with a large pile of books and histories. He started with sorting out sith writings, from the general books. Then he set about trying to absorb as much information as he could from each book. After a while he looks up, "ra is there any way you could acquire a holodroid with a female personality like your own? It would help me feel like your here without taking up all your time? Furthermore I could use it to help me get a better understanding of these writings by hearing from the writers. You don't have to its just I don't want to bother you all the time."

Once Flinx got comfortable in a corner, Ra took a chair near to the fire and started in reading her own book. After reading for what was probably a few hours, he broke the silence between them. HIs first request she found very odd and shook her head at him. He wouldn't see it of course, but it was natural.

"I'm one of a kind, Flinx and I don't mind being here. That little reader I gave you can be male or female voiced. Besides what good would a holo do for you? Sticking around here is my job, so don't worry your head about it. If I need to go anyway, there are servants all over that can assist you."

That request actually bugged her a little and touch of irritation flared. Keeping it down though, her voice displayed nothing.

Flinx shyly quieted himself and softly cursed his idiocracy. He had no right, he needed to keep quiet and be within his station. he considered what his station was here and replied, "My apologies mistress Ra." His thoughts and emotions continued to spiral down into depression and he pulled the books making a literary prison and locking himself inside.

With his hands crossed tightly over his chest the young Archlord stared out of the viewport, his eyes fixated on the planet before him. Vjun, home to The Dominion's Sith and the place where he himself had engaged the Ascendancy in combat. How nostalgic to be returning to this planet.

The deck was quiet aboard "The White Nova", most were tired and looking forward to a bit of rest, they had been doing their duty without question ever since Adron had announced the formation of a new Republic. Since that time he had visited nearly every planet in The Dominion, seeing to the preparation of the new Government and it's assets.

Now his duties brought him back to Vjun, yet this was for a different matter than the Republic's formation.

"My lord." A voice called out to him, crisp, militant, and easily identifiable as alien, taking his focus from the planet and back to the reality that was his starship. Though he gave a moment of pause Adron turned to face the man, whom he recognized as his personal security Captain. "Yes, Captain Nuana?" He asked.

"Your shuttle is prepared to depart." The Rodian stated, his teal skin bringing an interesting light to the deck.

"Well, let's be on our way then." Adron stated, a smile coming to his face.

They made their way to the hanger bays where Adron's shuttle awaited, a relic from an older time "The Count's Hand" had served Adron since his rise to the position of Count.

After loading onto the shuttle the pilot's immediately initiated liftoff, making way for Castle Bast on Vjun's surface. Keeping his eyes closed for a moment of meditation the Archlord sensed the dark side flowing within him once again. A soft exhaled was given, hoping to keep the darkness in check as he exercised his discipline over the Force.

It was not long until he felt the shuttle touch ground on Vjun and his eyes came open once again. "We're here, my lord." The pilot called back to the passenger area as the door's to the shuttle sharply opened up. "Another fun trip." Adron commented, taking to his feet as he made his way to the castle.

Six members of his security detail were tasked with escorting him to the castle, however the Archlord did not feel they would be necessary for such a visit. "Wait with the ship." He ordered them, each of the men gave a stiff nod before doing precisely as ordered.

Parting his cloak as he made his way towards the entrance he watched as the door's were opened to him, an elder man making haste to greet him. "Greetings, young lord. Welcome to Castle Bast."

Bowing in turn Adron received the man's welcome politely. "Thank you, I was wondering is the lady of the Castle in? I would very much like to speak to her." He said.

"May I ask who comes to visit?" He questioned, a hint of curiosity taking over his tone.

"Lord Malvern, her Archlord." He stated, not in an attempt to frighten nor exercise his title, merely to inform.

The man bowed his head once again. "Ah yes! She has mention you before! You are now the leader of The Dominion are you not? Please, come come...I will not have you wait outside." He rolled his hand towards the manner as he led the man inside.

"Thank you." He said, following behind the older man.

"Yes, yes. M'lady is inside of the library, speaking with another visitor but I am sure she would wish to receive you." The older man said as they found themselves traveling down a new hall. Most could not feel it unless touched by the Force, but Castle Bast had always felt of the Dark Side, more so in it's former Master's time than Ra's.

The older man stopped them in front of a door, giving a soft double knock before opening the door and ushering the young Lord in, his head politely bowed. "Here you are, my lord." He said.

Adron took the man's hand in his own, shaking it before stepping inside. "Thank you very much." Pulling his cowl down from his head he looked to Ra and inclined his head politely. "Lady Ra'a'mah. Good to see you again." His attention was turned to the corner of the room where he sensed another being, touched by the nether of the Force. Cutting his eyes at the scene he finally took notice that a man seemed to be hiding behind a screen of books.

"......New friend?" He asked, a brow arched as he spoke.

"Oh for the love of...."

Ra was about to chuck something into the fireplace when she heard steps approaching the library from the hallway and the knock of Vincent on the door. The irritation at the situation revolving Flinx who was now hiding in the corner behind the books he had picked up would probably be strong enough to be felt by Adron as he walked in the door. Her face revealed almost nothing, but her eyes did. The irritation was not directed at him and hopefully he would know this.

The look faded away before she spoke to him. Her voice displayed nothing of what she felt and was almost friendly, at the very least it was polite. Giving him a nod out of curtesy and respect, she extended her hand to him as he had her on Serreno.

"Archlord Malvern. It has been a while and nice to see you as well. What brings you here?"

When he mentioned Flinx in the corner, her irritation rose again slightly. Shaking her head.

"Not new at all, I've known for almost two years."

Not knowing what the Archlord had, she took the chance that he knew telepathy and would speak to him about Flinx.

He came to me a few days ago, but I have known him two years. From even before I joined the Dominion. Well, at the time he was a promising young student of the Force and now he's just a broken shell. Lost his connection to the Force somehow and is like having a pity party. He is weak, but wants my help. I'm at a loss as to what to do. I've helped any way I know how. All I can do is take care of him.

If he got the message, maybe he could give her ideas on how to assist in the recovery of her friend.

Flinx is lying in the corner in his book fort with his audio-reader having it read him a supposed excerpt of a page of the journal of the wills. He was enjoying the information as an instinctual part of himself craved the knowledge. He had taken down one of the walls so that the big kitty could lay near him and protect him like it had before. He for some reason felt a connection forming between himself and the animal. All of this was instinctual. He knew nothing of the intrecasies of the force just its physical effects on himself. He had never had any formal training.

There was a noticeable wave of aggravation surrounding Ra'a'mah, her presence in the Force had a particularly agitated form to it. The Count nearly wanted to give himself a pat on the back for noticing such things. His skills were improving.

Taking her hand into his he offered a firm shake, his eyes meeting hers as they connected. "A bit of business, concerning the formation of our new Republic as well as your place in it." He offered, not saying much more on the matter for the time being.

Approaching the man in the corner Adron presented the palm of his hand towards the small fort of books, his command of the Force ordered the books to slowly part, revealing the man behind them. Through this Ra'a'mah's voice called to him, their shared ability of telepathy serving them well in this moment.

Pushing back to her mental message with his own response he reached out with the Force once again.

Perhaps he merely needs a purpose? Something to distract him? He would question, while kneeling down in front of the man.

"What is your name, friend? Mine is Adron." He said to the man, a touch of curiosity coming from his voice. After recovering from his greeting Adron turned back to Ra'a'mah, his hands clasped behind his back underneath his cloak.

"Have you tried the Light Side of the Force? Not personally of course, but had another attempt to heal him?" The Count asked.

"Would you care for something to drink, Archlord?"

If he said yes, she would have Victor bring all of them something.

Business she understood very well and nodded at his answer. She watched as Adron walked over and introduced himself to Flinx and the exchange between the two of them. He replied to her Force message with what sounded like questions as well as suggestions. Something she hadn't thought of.

When Adron spoke to her again, she gave him a half smile and small little snort of laughter. When she replied, her voice was serious.

"No, sir. Admittedly it was not something I thought of trying."

What kind of purpose? I'm not sure what can distract him. He's got gotten deeper into his depression on his loss. Nothing I'm doing is helping.

"Hi Mr. Adron, I'm Flinx." The miraluka said to the voice that came from nowhere. After he went back to speaking to Ra flinx piped up. "I'm a miraluka that means I'm blind not deaf." Then he got up and stumbled toward the talking slowly. He was doing his best to be mindful if he felt any fur in front of him. "I've seen both sides you know, my father was a lesser Sith Lord and my mother was a Jedi but I killed my father and left my mother behind. Since I left Ra I've lost everything including my connection to the force. No force, no sight."

When offered a drink the Count offered his hand in declination, not wanting to put the Baroness to such a task.

Once the subject returned to the boy he gave off a contemplative sigh, eyeing him over before looking back to Ra'a'mah. "Given the circumstances I can understand that. I can try my hand at it, admittedly I'm not the best but perhaps a mental cleanse could help?" He questioned.

I cannot say just yet....let us see what more I can learn from him? His words were whispered to Ra through the force once again.

"Please, don't feel any need to call me mister. Adron is just fine." He said, resting his hand on his waist as he eyed the man curiously.

"A Force Severance is not an easy thing to remedy, especially not in your case where your people have such a strong connection to the Force to begin with. Tell me, would you like me to try and help you Flinx?" He asked.

[member="Flinx Kalith"] @Ra'a'mah

"Any help from either of you would be much appreciated. I already owe Ra a lot and I think she would be glad to be rid of me, even for a short while." Flinx stood there still feeling as though he was not worth the effort and with little effort the two force weilders in the room would pick up on his downtroddeness. "I'm sorry for all the frustration I've caused you." He would open his arms for an embrace, fully expecting a punch to the jaw.
