Rakata Balls (Lords of the Fringe Dominion of Rakata Beta)

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
"Your suit. You asked about mine, I asked about yours."

Though those rings were interesting. Very cool-looking.

He wanted to tell him. But... that might complicate things.

I smiled and nodded my head. "Helped the Sith for a while and as a reward they gave me alchemy armor." I reached around behind me to grab the mask that looked plain except a few marks from blaster shots. "Comes with a mask as well. its a small heads up display but it works." I put the mask up as it would hang from my belt to rest just under my hip. "Its pretty effective for how light it is. Good enough to stop a few blaster bolts but sometimes," I pointed to a hole scar on my left arm just above the elbow where a pellet from a scatter blaster got me. "Sometimes it doesn't always work to protect my arms. I can deal with that though."

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
He nodded. "Not bad, not bad.... Mine doesn't do much in the way of protection against too many blaster bolts; but if you want, say, a tank, you just cut it open with the fusion cutter, then hack it with the scomp, and it's yours until it's destroyed." He wasn't into the whole 'charge in, guns blazing' thing.

"Yours do anything special?"

@[member="Morna Imura"]

I nodded my head a few times as the man explained the armor, and what it could do. Like what the man said, take over a tank. That might have been good for him, but I am not tech savvy and prefer the normal blade to the head approach. I smiled as he asked me if my armor did anything special. Lighting up my right hand on fire, I put my hand around my leg and let it set there.

The heat from the flames were hot enough that it could burn or melt anything under hard metal. I held it there for about 10 seconds and then let my hand puff out of flames into smoke. When I removed my hand there were no marks on the armor in any way. "Fire resistant."

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Yep, that's Morna. "Niiice. This cape, once 'activated', can disable all communication and transmission technology in a room. Except mine.

"But enough 1-upping. So. Do we have an assignment, or what? I'm gonna get old and fat in this suit, it seems. I wanna use it!"

Elijah was practically bouncing up and down with impatience.

@[member="Dranok Lussk"]

I smiled as the man was jumping up and down as though he couldnt go anywhere. I shook my head as he was commenting on becoming old in the suit. "If you dont mind my friend, what is your name?"
@[member="Elijah Rowlin"]

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
(practically jumping)

And it comes down to this.... "Name's Elijah," he lied. "Elijah Rowlin. And you are?"

Well... he wasn't exactly lying. Jak Sandrow was biologically dead, after all.

The Wedding of Dranok Lussk
The fated hour had arrived for one Lord Admiral of the Fringe, and as the skies above Rakata Beta were lite up by the arriving guests, everything was in place. The Rakata were a suspicious people by nature, and living in a society that ate their own without remorse they had made a habit to always be in control. Add to that the Fringe forces who were nervous allowing the Rakata control of security in the first place the arrival points for the wedding were awash with security.

As each shuttle, frigate, or even capital ship arrived the guests were taken aboard Rakata shuttles to the planet surface. Not one single foreign vessel was allowed to land and any who attempted as much would have been destroyed. Between the presence of several Fringe ships which included the Astral Horizon, and the Chimaera, and ever Rakata vessel available there would be no uncloaked ships getting through to the surface. Guest were required to leave all their weapons aboard their ships, and this did include lightsabers. As per the invitation formal wear was expected, and required for entry. With the possible arrival of several heads of state it simply seemed prudent to cover all basis.

The tediousness ended there though, and the Rakata people had done all the could to create a rather exceptional wedding. Each guest had been given a room inside of the palace where the wedding was to take place, as well as the gift of a personal slave. There was a secret joy in the slaves over that hoping to get off Rakata Beta and a sliver of hope for a better life. There was a near religious mythical idea that somewhere beyond the stars were places all slaves were free.

The shuttles landed in front of the palace which was surrounded by a lush deep jungle. The forest crawled with exotic animals who co-existed no where else in the entire galaxy. Around the palace they had all been properly trained and raised with much more care then the average slave. Tamed Rancor bent down eagerly for a loving scratch behind the ears. Animals that had been extinct between war, and tragedy existed here kept isolated by the Rakata who sought to close off the galaxy rather then change.

The palace itself was made of a smooth black speckled marble that glowed in the moon's light. A low wall surrounded the palace compound itself of the same material. Smokeless torches were used every few feet to create a low light glamor along the exterior of the wall. The torches burned a bright royal purple, and the shield which domed the palace seemed to take up the color in its pattern of energy.

Beyond the walls the compound was filled with a myriad of gardens, from carnivorous plants to the most delicate of lilies. The lights within the garden were soft and which all areas were lit up, it felt almost like natural moon light simply shone brightly everywhere. The air smelled overwhelming of jade and lavender though, as the stonework path into the castle had been covered by leaves of both. The sound of soft, near hypnotic instrumentals seemed to flow from every direction to mix with the fragrance, and combine to an intoxicating degree in the mind.

The path led up to a marble encased stairs that curved inwards as they approached a set of broad double doors. The doors were opened inward revealing a vast hall filled with crystal arches. The graceful arches leaped upwards to incredible heights as it became apparent that the main hall soared upwards to the very roof of the palace. Around the room a crystal clear ramp swirled around the entire room at a gentle angle. Around the ramp were stately redwood doors that lead to bedrooms that even the most indulgent head of state would find more then adequate.

The immense hall continued the road of crushed lavender and jade from outside up to a small set of stairs. A raised dais stood at the front of the room with a set of double thrones. The thrones were made of a jade green marble, and upon each rested not a crown but a traditional Rakata double bladed weapon laid across the arms. Around the path were more then a hundred round tables arrayed out in a semi-circle to leave room at the front for the dancing. The floor was the same smooth marble as the walls but with the soft purple lighting it took on the darker hue.

At the doors waited hundred of very well cleaned and fragrant slaves ready to lead their new master to their seat. Each assigned by faction, but for those with particularly powerful positions. They were given seats at the head table towards the front of the room. As was due to them.

Zaiden strode through the halls, looking for @[member="Dranok Lussk"], dressed in an all black silk tuxedo, with a silvery blue dress shirt beneath the jacket. His tie was a dark hued indigo, and his shoes were so clean they shined. All in all, his suit was oriented around his features and thus he looked sharp and dashing. But his looks mattered little, as Zaiden sought out his ally to help give him advice or any other thing he may require.

Isis walked into the event with a flowing black and white dress and her hair neatly down over her shoulder, she wore a pair of white and black matching heels and make up, as she walked in a bunch of Rakatan jaws dropped and she just sadistically smirked at them and continued on her path, she was far from a soldier this day and as it were she dressed not only to impress but also to outshine her own competition. As she walked in her dress was form fitting and showed off her curves just right. She looked like a dark princess arriving to a ball.

She also wore a jeweled necklace, jeweled bracers and pearl earrings she gutted a krayt dragon for and to add more flair to her fire she wore expensive, but not overbearing perfume... she definitely looked good, as she walked over to @[member="Zaiden James-Greyson"] she gave a sweet smirk and stood beside him Fancy seeing you here, Zaiden... she spoke seeing the man she had once insulted with his sister in the room... she couldn't help but notice how nice he looked as well.

Zaiden gave the woman a gorgeous smile and a wink, "Of course I'd be here. I will always be there when allies need support. Earn my alliance, and you'll see how.." Zaiden winked again, "Useful I can be." With a chuckle Zaiden's eyes returned to roaming for the room that bore @[member="Dranok Lussk"].

Lucien sat in a plush chair three servants attending to his attire on shining his shoes, one held a selection of cufflinks and one held a selection of silk cravats.Lucien took a few moments to consider before making his choice "The Red Cravat and the Ruby inlaid in Platinum ... and for goodness sake hurry up" He growled .The servants nodded and mumbled apologies. His servants worked at a brisk pace and fifteen minutes later he was moving down the hallways of his capital ship, His shoes shined and his suit pressed, behind him his valet struggled with Lucien's Luggage.Lucien had kindly left all his weapons at home. Stepping into the hanger he was met by his escort who upon checking the luggage ushered them onto a ship, Luciens son would be travel with them if he chose to come.

Lucien was a little impressed with and jealous of the palace as he walked through it's gardens. He was also impressed by the pets but was sure to publicly express how tacky they were. Stepping into the entrance hall He turned to his escort "Please take my servant to my room i will wait here you can then show to in" He gave his order then moved over to Zaiden and Isis "Hello there my freinds" he spoke cordially "Have either of you seen Lussk?"

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Elijah stewed in a darker corner.

He wanted something to do. Being here, on Rakatan, set him on edge. He wanted to be teching something, either making something or taking something apart. This... sitting around... was getting on his nerves, and his temper was getting ever shorter...

He wanted to tech. He needed to tech.

Isis chuckled at his response and then flashed his a playful wink as well and then responded Yes indeed, but for now... You'll need to show me more than your sisters ability to get sloshed before I ever consider you an ally her tone was not too friendly nor would it be, she still remembered the laughing at her and mocking her playful approach to them, of course it had been years since that event took place but she still disliked the male for it.

Isis then watched as @[member="Lucien Cordel"] approached and responded in kind Dear governor, how nice it is to have you... I hope your trip hasn't been a wash? on the other hand her tone had both been respectful and friendly to Cordel.

@[member="Zaiden James-Greyson"]

"It was as pleasant as it could be considering what I am traveling for" He replied in kind to isis the pair had been through war zones together it was nice to meet somewhere glamorous even if that somewhere was the marriage of a princes and his former student. He watched the room which his escort had led his valet to then he watched as he was escorted to the servants quarters, He almost felt bad that his valet would only see the palace under belly but then again hierarchy dictated that only the minority could have privilege. He looked over Isis attire "I must compliment you on that ensemble it is most classy"

Smirking at him for his compliment she nodded and then looked to his "escort" and flashed a intimidating smile and then tore her attention back to @[member="Lucien Cordel"] Why thank you Governor, I see your as....handsome and flamboyant as ever she complimented him and then stole a glare at the stage that would serve the wedding, she disliked the idea of Dranok marrying a critter like this would-be princess of rakata.

She then looked back at the pair and smirked and pretended like her dislike for this race of tormentors never existed, she flashed them both a smirk and then excused herself and headed out of the building for a breather.

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Still as grumpy as ever, Elijah caught the fleeting form of Isis leaving the building.

"Hey, Isis! Wait up!" He ran up beside her. "What's up? I thought you of all people would be socializing in there."

@[member="Isis Fontana"]

I don't feel like it she said as sh walked outside and rounded a corner and leaned her body against a building to collect her thoughts, she wanted to be alone so she could collect her thoughts and emotions.

Zaiden laughed, "My apologies for that night, but I protect those that are important. Now that she's out of the equation you'll see I'm worthy of trust, and more. I become friends with few, but when I do I am able to truly back them in any endeavor. Earlier while Spencer was showing her talents, I was planning the swiftest routes to killing everyone in the room, should one of them have made a gesture towards her that could be taken as threatening." He murmured the last bit, so as not to rouse a problem.

Anyway, back to my search. Later." He said as she departed.

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Stoopid dense Elijah.

"Naw, naw, what's wrong? It's probably what's getting to me, too."

He stood a few meters off to the side, wanting a conversation.
