Reconstruction and Reconciliation [Imperial Remnant]

Faction Admin - The Galactic Republic
A Civil War
A terrible mess. Where a group of people feel disenfranchised with the current way of life yet the regime in power does not want change. Tempers flare and what starts out as those who passively want change speak out. Typically the majority who only want their grievances heard and respected. The regime responds with brute force and heavy handed measures, usual non-lethal at first. Then the turn comes for those with in the dissident camp whose anger is strong enough to act out. A small but violent act defines the spark when a civil war begins. Perhaps the regime’s security forces shot someone, or maybe a dissident tossed a flammable object at a group of police officers.
Whatever the case that spark inflames the dissidents to rebel and the regime has to take even more forceful measures. People from every social strata find their lives upturned. As war engulfs them. Families find themselves torn apart as brother, sister, mother and father spill each other’s blood. What starts out as angry mobs lashing out blindly against the regime turns into something more, more organized…
An insurgency, an organized group of dissident factions emerge from the mobs that are capable of effectively fighting the regime. The fate of a world hangs in the balance… Sometimes the war can become so much that it requires outside intervention…
Crina, a beautiful world far flung in the unknown regions… A civil war had raged on the isolated world for nearly three centuries… centuries. Even the galactic civil war had not lasted that long. Generations have grown up only knowing a hatred for their neighbor’s past transgressions against their group. A Monarchy versus a peasant revolt to that sought to change the regime and break free the bonds of their world.
Crinans only knew a state of war… Blood shed…
…A Civil War…
With the military intervention of the Imperial Remnant the rebels were defeated on behalf of the Monarchy. People would speak of the Imperial effort as the Great Liberation. What Crina still did not realize was the in the grand scheme of things they were now an Imperial World. Although a fledgling faction on the galactic stage the Imperial Remnant strove to bring order and peace to all under their governance.
No matter the cost.
Deeply rooted was the divide between the dissidents and the royalist. Crina’s Monarchy government was to retain its autonomy, but certain changes to needed to be made in order to prevent future civil strife. The Remnants war machine was young and its holdings had to remain secure. Crina had a large population still despite the civil war and would do well in supplying recruits for the Imperial Military. A shipyard. With a large source of force users as well. The Crinans would have to learn to become not only citizens for their planet but also now as Imperial citizens.
In order to achieve a compliant, prosperous and peaceful world a new strategy had to be implemented. That of diplomacy, mediation, and assertive dominance.

Hello and welcome to a faction thread designed to be a more non-combat oriented thread. With a focus on Imperial interactions with the people of Crina from Government meetings to everyday life with the common people. Crina is the Imperial Remnants capital, our shipyards are here. With the considerable amount of effort put into this single world’s history and its present hold to the title of Capital Crina is a rich playground for role playing and character development. Obviously if you want something very specific then go ahead and start a new thread!
Simply post the regional location and precise whereabouts like so

How did I end up with this assignment?’ I wondered with an inward sigh. Another of the Transitional Status of Forces and Governance Committee meetings. ‘Celestials that is still a mouth full, the seventh one this week too.’
“General I’m simply here to gather Input. You must understand these directives are Standard Operating Procedures. We’ll be constructing three Garrison bases near the Shipyard with potential room for three more and two near the Royal Palace as a means of immediate protection.” I spoke in a calm collective voice. The weight of the amount of work necessary in facilitating the proper integration of Crina as an Imperial world was certainly showing on the faces of those involved. With the end of the Crinan rebellion there was a lot of tension still in the air. ‘Military operations were so much easier than having to deal with politicians. Especially when compared to dealing with those of the aristocracy.’ Having grown up in the core and coming from a once prominent core noble family the talking heads in the room all felt like they were wannabes. An immature feeling but after having spent nine hours in a room with these people my hair felt like it was graying by the minute. Some of the complaints these noblemen and women had were absurd along with the worst solutions imaginable.

I want to people of Miruna to be taxed and pay the price of insubordination! My family before the war helped improve the infrastructure of the city center! Along with the horrid destruction of our lovely estates they desecrated my family’s shrine!” Some noble lady spoke up, she appeared to be garbed in the Cosmina academies ceremonial uniform. ‘Way to prove my point lady’ Hell nearly everyone in this room save the Imperials looked overly pomp. It was as if they hoped the display would help leverage their grievances. ‘Ugh what an idiot this women is, I can begin to see why there was an insurrection in the first place, but we have to stick to our decisions and continue to support this sad excuse of a government

“Mi’lady that would be very unwise I strongly advise against such a decision as it would be akin to forcing the people into a corner. They’ll most likely take up arms again because so little of an alternative could be reached. Perhaps you could win their hearts and minds by investing again into rebuilding the city center as a sign of forgiveness. This way in time a tax could be levied once the people are prosperous and would not mind adding an extra credit or two to the coffers of the Royal Treasury”

For a flicker of a moment the idea seemed to sink in. The looks of the other nobles it appeared to almost break through, 'Almost'. Her face suddenly seemed to flush an angry red before morphing into a contemptuous look. She shouted like a child who lost a Dejarik game “No, no, no! I want those commoners to pay now! Send in your storm troopers!”
My will ran deep, but dammit this meeting was going to make it run dry here soon.

“Mi’lady we will not be using our storm troopers to forcibly take away what little your people have. Our army elements are strictly patrolling the streets of your world right now in order to instill some iota of peace! Now Mi’lady if you could please refrain from such unproductive outburst or I’ll have you escorted from the room!”
She was stunned, ”How dare you, I’ll escort myself out you ingrate foreigner!” She marched out of the room out of the room. The chandliers swayed back and forth from the angery storm that had just passed. ‘A black hole take me know I miss being on my ship…’

The Crinan General Zaric had managed to remain cool. A good sign because cool heads will prevail in such trying times. The General stood up and made the most suprising proposal yet this meeting. “Commander Flavian, I think it would be wise to put this meeting to a close for the evening.”

“General I think you’ve made the best suggestion yet” I couldn't help but chuckle a sigh of relief.

Princess Alva Calvarona was enjoying one of her few off duty moments back in the luxury of the palace, the recent foray of combat with the 181st's attack on the Rebel Outpost on Rodica, not to mention the mountain of work with CRI to put all of the Imperial naval units together like the TIE Seeker and their new Destroyers, all had left her feeling very stressed. Especially with the stuffy attitude that Admiral Deschart held himself to, along with half the other senior staff among the Remnant. Now it was a moment to fall back into the politics of her own world and focus on those duties instead, but at the same time she got a lot more time to herself and to indulge in her own preferred vices of recreation.

Apparently a number of nobles were meeting with an Imperial representative within the city to work out some political moves. In all honesty Alva did feel bad for General Zaric and whatever sod from the Remnant had to deal with them. There were plenty of honorable nobles, and more than a few were competent at their jobs of running economics and peacekeeping, but there were still those annoying bunch who behaved like spoiled children. The second princess blamed the increase in such fools on the civil war, before the Rebellion caused discontent and put the nobles' usual work into doubt more than a few houses had wound up becoming the damned stereotype.

All the same though, Alva had more than enough hope considering she heard General Zaric, and representatives from houses Anca and Alina, were present. They tended to shine as truly capable people, she hoped they would leave a good impression on the Imperials. In the mean time she wandered about looking for her sisters, mostly to discover their activities since her absence to run the Andreea shipyards and head the 181st. Apparently the King and Queen had been busy working on infrastructure with the Emperor and Empress, and how best to integrate and improve matters while still maintaining the same level of eternal contentment and functionality that was Crina's goal.

Perhaps her sisters would know more, and if not, then she could perhaps at least introduce them to her new maid.

Ikki moved quietly and flicked her eyes back and forth. She was looking upon the hallways to see if anyone else was coming to bother or approach the princess with her hands clasped in front of her. A small smile hidden while she tilted her head down just a little not displaying anything. Her gloves were on and the soft clacking of her shoes was drowned out when she spoke softly. "Princess this is truly a beautiful planet I didn't realize when you described it."

Serco walked the halls of the Palace after a trip by the Emperor and Empress found him back on the planet where it all began. The Imperial Knights were there of course to keep them safe but as the Remnant grew so did the Knights. Working in a rotation Serco found himself with some time to kill and had decide to go back to where it and all began for him. The point where he had first been touched by the horrors of combat and death.

Up ahead Serco saw a familiar face from that day. That of Princess Calvarona and a face he did not recognize. Serco smiled softly walking closer his attire was almost a mirror image of what it had been that day except instead of a sword sheathed to his back am Imperial Knight saber was clipped to his belt.

"Princess it is good to see you again." "I hope you are doing well

I was four shots and three glasses of wine deep. The general had me topped by two glasses. How we were still talking I don’t know. Our food was excellent, some sort nerf steak dish with a mound of vegetables on top. Our conversations had been light at first, then serious, then back to light. It seemed we had moved away from the talk of aristocratic politics which I was grateful for. ‘So very stifling the politics of this world

“So general what do you think of the current defense proposal?” Now it was time for real politics.

Well,” The general pondered that question for a good moment. He swished the wine in his glass watching it intently. I took a moment to take in the bar and restaurant. It was a lovely establishment. Subtle curvatures in the architecture. Use of gold trimmings and aquariums basked under the blue hue of the restaurants lights. The ceiling was a dome sun roof, or in this early morning a moon roof, gave a stunning look of the stars above. At this hour we could see the majority of the galaxy in the sky. I’ll be honest with you Caius. The intervention of the Imperials may have ended the war, but the pride of our military and people are broken. The war lasted so long and left us so weak that we had to ask for help. I bit my tongue when the king made the decision to ask for foreign aid. Now we are just a fiefdom to a faction on the galactic stage.” His voice was filled with disgust. The mood became heavy, I shifted uncomfortably in my seat. Zaric was a good honorable man. His words were well spoken, having borne the trauma of losing most of my family I can understand the distraught of losing something so close.
Our self-governance is what yourour emperor promised. Yet these measures in place seem to keep us reliant on Imperial Military forces to defend us. With Crinan military being left to a reduced strength of looking like a ceremonial guard. We’ve had centuries of experience in fighting and now those might be lost completely.”

“Zaric, I understand the wounded pride. My goal here is to make sure that both parties are able to cooperate. This is a trial, a test of will. If we Imperials cannot learn to integrate with those who we govern and call our citizens then we are no better than another barbaric faction senselessly killing without a cause. The goal of Imperial Remnant is to reestablish order and peace to the galaxy. The many predecessors defined that order with a harsh and brutal iron fist. The Fel Empire is in some ways what many of us idolize as the Imperial Way. The idea of allowing autonomy for the worlds under our governance is a delicate balance to be struck.” My words came from the heart.

The Imperial Way?” Zaric took a sip of wine and sloshed the glass again. “It sounds like the Imperial Remnant has an identity that it is still looking to define. I guess at the heart of the matter is whether Crina will play role in developing that identity. I’ll say one thing I would like to discuss next meeting is the recruitment procedures of the Imperial Remnant. Those predecessors you spoke of often conscripted. I want assurances that our Status of Force Agreement does not allow that to be in the hands of the Imperial Moffs or the Emperor. I want that to remain within the bounds of the Monarchy to decide. The representative from the Cosmina Academy also wants to make sure that our Practitioners are not simply abducted into the Imperial Knights

“Well the decision on how to handle separation of recruitment of force users, or magic users as you call them, will be made in the end by one of the Princess’s if I’m not mistaken”

That’s not what I meant,” He paused for moment and glanced around. It was a few hours after midnight and it was nearly dead in here. A few people remained. “I’m well aware of the history of the Imperial Security Bureau…”

Oh boynow the real hard knocks of working out the true measurements of rule. I’m too drunk for this right now’ I sighed inwardly. “General Zaric I believe these matters will have to rest for another day. I thank you though for being so open about your concerns. These topics are what matter more than some wounded pride of a nobilite family. It is for the greater good of all that a transparent state of coexistence occurs between us. So to that I propose a final drink and toast for the night, or well morning at any rate.”

Ha, well I’ll take you up on that

We ordered another round of wine. “To the Imperial Remnant and Crina!” We proclaimed.

"I have been told our many fields, and plains, and meadows, and grasslands resemble those of a world called Dantooine, but that Crina's mountains, vast rivers, and oceans differentiate us from it as well. It pleases me you find our rather rustic and robust world beautiful my servant. You've done so very well adjusting to working about the palace too when not catering to me too I've heard. I shall definitely reward you for these tonight, perhaps my sisters will as well." Chuckling playfully, Alva continued her travels through the halls until she spotted the Imperial Knight who apparently had decided to come initiate contact with her. His etiquette lacked a little, but then the Princess was not entirely certain she knew all what was proper herself to deal with outsiders. As it were, seeing how she wasn't officially on duty for the Remnant as an officer, she was once more in the trappings of Royalty, wearing a rather comfortable, yet resplendent, dress.

It appeared as though the young man in front of her had grown stronger though, she could sense it since the last time she had seen him. It had been a while since she trained herself in free time over what she learned as a Practitioner at Cosmina, most of it went into service or ironing out CRI's work. Still, her martial talent had increased under her maid's guidance, she had become more agile and flexible while learning to use slicewire, and her piloting skills had improved as well with the 181st so at least she was becoming better in those areas she supposed. "Ah yes. . . . you were with the odd one I recall during the attack on the palace. Its a pleasure to see you again I suppose. Have you been enjoying a period of service on Crina? I'm not entirely certain what the . . . .Force Users of the Remnant are assigned to myself. I'm more in tune with the naval operations of late, though I also keep up with the deployment of Crina's Armed Forces and Practitioners for obvious reasons. . . . . have you seen my sisters about by any chance, you may recall my older sister from the attack if you spotted her, I doubt you officially have met Utena though."

Colrenn in his disguise walked into the Dealers Den cantina, packed his can of snuff and put a big pinch in his button lip he sat down at a booth with a spittoon, as he sat there spiting, and taking all the conversations that were happening in place he was here not only to get intel on the rebels but to get the pulse of the people as it were. Finally his informant arrived, and sat down across the table from Colrenn and began to whisper he just came from on the terrorist bases and said he had seen a symbol on some crated he had taken holoimages of as he showed to Clorenn he did not react but he know what the symbol was. “looks we have some completion in the game, find all you can on these creates, what’s in them, and more importing who and how the our friends are will to pay those supplies.” He said as spit into a spittoon, the two of nodded and the informant casually walked away. ~The Rebuplic was either knowingly or unknowingly aiding the terrorist this certainly changed things ~ he thought to himself he waited a few more minutes be leaving to report his findings not only about the rebels but also about the concern among the lower classes about what their status would be in this new government, and under imperial rule.

Ikki bowed her head to that and only looked up when the one approached, her mind searching for who he was but she didn't know. Didn't make a threat it meant she didn't know who he was yet. Her lips forming a tight smile while she kept her hands in front of her visible with the small bit of carbonite from her cybernetic finger while she rubbed it between her index and thumb. Not pulling it out more then an inch for the wire to watch and listen. The imperial knights were adequate protection but they were armored, visible and at times far to attention grabbing. She kept her eyes while bowing locked on the man and surrounding area.

Hey [member="Colrenn"], we should hold off on throwing around the rebel alliance’s involvement in things just yet until we get a green light from their writers. Especially since our faction leaders are still ironing out details. I like where you are going with the terrorist thing, a few small embers left in pyre that was the Crinan Rebellion still can burn. Remember this is a more non-combat oriented thread so a few fire fights here and there are no problem but let’s not run amok!

“Uuuugghhh…” I let out a shallow moan. ‘I’m as stiff as a aboard.’ I awoke on the floor with the blankets from the bed. I wasn’t sure what hour it was. My head was swimming. "Ugh why in the world did we drink so much…” I spoke aloud. ‘I guess I didn’t make it to the bed last night

I took some time to stretch before I hoped in the shower. I turned on the holonet to a few of the local news outlets. A few of the new technological features that back in the Core worlds I was so used too. Crina was lacking a little before the Liberation, ‘Granted they have remarkably kept well in pace with the rest of the galaxy on certain technological workings. If I remember the reports some our foreman at the shipyards submitted the Crinans were not too far off the bandwagon.’
The news was a mixture of good and bad as always. One of the latest local channels to come online was that of the Tatianna Broadcasts. They liked to skirt the edge of denouncing the Imperial Regime. I hit the unmute button to listen in on a moment. “Today we’ll be interviewing with an Imperial Spokesman on why they are supporting the reconstruction of buildings owned by nobles rather than rebuilding our schools. In other news we’ll also to talk about the detainment of 200 family members of resistance fighters by the Imperial Military

"Oh boy, its going to be difficult to win hearts and minds with words like those being pressed against us.” Having recently found out through an informant that Captain Calvarona had personally attempt to interrogate certain key rebels not to long ago I could only wonder what other hidden press bombs were waiting to happen. 'I wonder if she was actually successful, she may gifted with the force, or magic, whatever it is she doesn't seem to have the interrogation skills' For what reason I still haven’t figured that out, but either way the level suppression it has taken to ensure such news didn’t get out was not so much daunting just tedious. Bilateral agreements were hard to come by right now as the King seemed to be feeling the pressure of the other noble families to ensure that Crina had a voice. ‘It would do to maybe give the ruling monarch the rank of moff to help quiet the dissent., but there could be unforeseen problems with that.’

Another channel by the name of Royal Loyal, or as its ads likened to just go by RL seemed to be running a story on that noblewoman representing the Cosmina academy. ‘I wonder what she will have to say

These Imperial representatives have the gall to besmirch the good name of the Salinaro Family!” She prattled on and on about a number of stupid topics before making a brutal statement “I detest the lack of respect of our cultural values. I don’t want these Imperials to lead a witch hunt of our children who are gifted with the ability to use magic!”

“Oh you stupid woman!” I threw the bar of soap at the holoscreen. It passed through her face harmlessly while she continued to prattle on. ‘I just hope my network of informers are able to keep me appraised of any power moves’ Especially the royal family, having briefly met and worked with Princess Alva during her debut as an imperial pilot and captain of the 181st Squadron 'I can only imagine what her sisters are like. If they have the same drive and ambitions as her I can easily see some internal courtly affairs playing out among all this nonsense.’
I finished the shower and put on a fresh uniform. I left the room and began to ponder todays events. Perhaps today will go smoothly and hammer out some solutions too a few things. My thoughts drifted back to what General Zaric had spoke of ‘An identity issue, I would disagree with that sentiment but words only carry so much weight. It will be our actions that define our identity. The Royal Family gave us their world. We are just trying to live with them in harmony. What we are willing to do to achieve that harmony, I still don’t know

I stroked my chin in deep thought and felt stubble. “Ugh, celestials take me” I bemoaned aloud. One of the hotel’s maids happened to be in the hall and gave a curious look as if I had lost it. I quickly pulled an about face and returned to my room still feeling stiff as a board.

After a swift shave I made my way down to the reception hall of the hotel. The architecture was quite stunning. ‘The Crinans are a perfect example of humans being to able to generate such beautiful civilizations. Even in the far flung reaches of the galaxy we are superior.’ I let my thoughts linger again on the vaulted ceiling of the reception hall. A number of dignitaries from different noble families and civic representatives from across the world were present as well. Today was to begin a renewed discussion on administrative divisions. Internal politics that wouldn’t involve any imperial representatives. Only a single observer was allowed for this meeting. Thankfully it was not me!
I sat on a smaller committee amidst this constant tangle of trying form some semblance of governance on the world. My earpiece commlink gave a muted chirp. “-“
I shook my head it ‘it appears that there is some more intrigue afoot.’
I brought up my data pad as I passed a few dignitaries waving my hand to greet them.

Once my encryption code was inputted I wrote what amounted to a text message.
Which read: Mediator here, what can I do for you Cipher?

I put the appropriate classification on the message and submitted it. ‘I hope this isn’t anything unusual and just routine’ I sighed and continued to mingle amongst the various nobles. I ended up getting caught up in a conversation with a man over the differences between the core worlds and Crina. The isolationist attitude seemed to hold very strong with the group of puffed up men. I finally managed to break away and headed off to my meeting.

They weren't the only ones who would make an appearance. After being bored wandering the palace most of the day before, Alva decided she would see how much of a mess the meetings between the Imperial Representative and the Nobles was. Honestly Crina's second princess felt rather disappointed in who the Cosmina Academy had selected to be their representative. The woman they sent was a pompous idiot. . . .but then she was likely sent because anyone sensible didn't want to work with the Imperials, either due to a lack of trust or fear of being used. Alva couldn't really blame them, she herself was concerned that the Remnant would recruit and convert Crina's people away from their beliefs in magic and eventually subvert the people completely to an Imperial mentality.

So if anything Alva desired to be present as a true representative of Cosmina's Practitioners at least. But mostly she wanted to see the circus at its finest to make up for Utena playing hard to find the other day. She had left a message for her sister to join her if she wanted. In fact she also left the note because if Utena did show up the girl would likely get wound up being harassed by the aforementioned pompous idiot for not appearing to the Academy courses. Her little sister dearly needed to keep up some training as a proper princess of Crina. Alva made sure to sigh heavily to get the annoyance out before she entered the room with the others and took a seat, resplendent in a rather appropriate royal wear. "So this is where the party of high society was being held. General Zaric, I'm assuming our Imperial guest has had an enjoyable time meeting some of our groomed nobility."

Right now I think in terms chronology our characters this is shortly after the events of the first for the 181st despite that thread still kinda in limbo… Sooo we are acquainted with each other’s existence having worked together briefly but otherwise. If thats okay with you!?

I had taken my seat just moments before the Princess had arrived. I sat among the other Imperial officers and civilian administrators. The room’s layout was that of two semi circle tables with a holoprojector in the center. There was no center podium, in fact this was a deliberate design choice by myself and a few others. We wanted no noble of any social rank to try and take center stage. Instead we had designed the layout specifically so that the both sides were on an equal level. A small gesture of symbolism that hopefully had sunk into some of these people. I sighed and took a hearty gulp of caff tea while looking over today's agenda. The first would that be of citizenship. With sub topics of Recruitment into the Imperial Military and the issues that may stem from that. Along with another subtopic of force users or as the Crinans called their gifted people ‘Practitioners’ and determining a compromise on the status of these individuals. Despite the desire to gain more force users as well as improve our ability to execute Inquisitorial missions if needed we were very much lacking in this area. I had a few ideas in mind and I knew some of my colleagues on this side of the aisle very eager to tap into the manpower wellspring that Crina could provide.

A stir of commotion rose from the other side of the room as a young woman entered the room. ‘Ah well it appears that Princess Alva has arrivedI wonder if she is here as a participant or as an observer. No matter we still have a time table to keep here.’ I watched as Zaric practically leapt to his feet to greet the princess. Royalty could be quite a pain sometimes, but of the royal family members she seemed to have a capable and calculating mind. She was an attractive woman that much was a fact coupled with her prowess in the force and as a warrior she was going to be hand full for whoever she married. I had briefly met her siblings during the ceremony shortly after the liberation.
“Lieutenant could you call the meeting to order?” I spoke to one of our most junior dignitaries sitting on the committee. The younger man nodded and used a gavel to call to attention. Once everyone was quiet the junior officer would begin to read the minutes from the last meeting and the agenda for today.
Well today just got more interesting

-General Zaric
Mi’lady Calvarona!” The General snapped up to attention and gave a slight bow to his princess. It was certainly a surprise that some one of the Royal Family had arrived. Now the man was regretting having forgone shaving this morning. “You are correct this committee is quite the party…” He grinned. Zaric was a friend to the royal family thanks to ties and connections. He had courted Alva’s older sister for a while, but that was broken off. Still despite the politicking he remained steadfast and loyal to the crown. “I’m surprised that you are here. These meetings are somewhat dull
One of the Imperials began to tap a gavel on the wooden table. Zaric visibly cringed at the loud noise. He glanced over at Caius and was surprised to see the man had not only shaved but did not appear hung over. “Mi’lady?” Zaric pulled out a chair for the princess to sit in.

((Sounds ok))

Oh Alva fully intended to participate, and dominant, the proceedings if necessary. One might say she was rather defensive of Crina's position, and doubted the ability of both the Imperial officers and the Nobles to come to an agreement that was agreeable for the Crinan people. There were many decent nobles, who still took their jobs well as mentioned before: houses Anca and Alina For example, were present and could be counted on to handle matters with the Imperials regarding their territory and expertise. Though those houses lay in agriculture and mining regions. Still, much in the end would fall to the Royals, so Alva fully intended to cover wherever stupidity reigned.

Of course this was all just part of the responsibility of being a Princess of Crina. All descended from the first Queen Crina herself, they had quite the reputation and olbigation to live up to. Very few members of the Royal family weren't Practitioners, and all received adequate training at the very least in basic martial skills and magical prowess. Not to mention much education was handed to them, usually from private tutors and time spent at the Cosmina Academy. As well as being practically bred and raised in a political climate to rule. If the Lt. Commander thought Alva was ambitious, then he ought to wonder what her elder sister first in line for the throne was up to, especially when said sister was a stronger Practitioner as well.

The Calvarona sisters all would be handfuls to whoever they married, but it was rather clear what sort they would end up with, as General Zaric may have been aware when he attempted to court her elder sister. As for clarity, Alva gave the young and lovely lady Alina a rather wonderful kiss as the noble girl ran and hugged her, themselves having been good friends in their Academy days. Though Alva also gave an equally delightful kiss to her maid as she presented her new servant to her old friend before turning to General Zaric after he made his approach and spoke with her.

This day wasn't about being the tactful and typical Imperial Captain, now she could. . . .enjoy her time more fully and also make a little show of it. It was mere play, she could do what she wanted because she had the power, and because she was more than capable of dealing with matters, which she fully intended to show. True she wasn't looking to make trouble or even cross the Imperials, but at the same time throwing her weight around as well as looking out for Crina's interests was part of her duty too. "Why, how could I miss a party with one of our able and most competent Generals, an old friend from house Alina, other noble lines such as Anca and Salinaro, not to mention our Imperial comrades. I simply couldn't help but wonder what business was going on and how I might make myself useful."

Or a handful, as she sat at the seat the General offered to her. "Ikki, please make sure to remind me if my sister will be making an appearance as well?"
