Relations with the Mandalorians

7 people is not the whole faction it would be prudent to wait a few days rather than take a small sample that all voted on the first day. There is no need to rush a thread as rushing things only ruins stories. And there remains the fact the Mandalorians have to be on board that all wish to do this. Strider and two others is not all of clan Garon. No offense to Strider for his above comment but taking only a small group only causes problems in members. It would be far more logical to wait till a larger amount has had the time to vote as compared to the Cold War Vote only one third has voted thus far.

Regardless of whether or not people want to get closer to the Mandos, I just found out that the Jedi Academy supposedly has an Academy on Yavin IV. And after consulting the most current map, I discovered that it's in the Mando's SOI.

I feel this is an easy way to start a thread depending on what the Mandos want to do.

Ya, they have one there. Its a good way to have a good connection to them in the future though its also a academy for all jedi if i remember. Republic and Silver. I could be wrong.

There is a distinction that the Mandalorians make between the Republic and the Jedi. However, understand that the Mandalorians as a group cannot really be held to a unilateral decision that affects all of them. Unless they are at war, pledging their support to Mand'alor, they are a very independent people. An alliance between the Faction of the Republic and the Faction of the Mandalorians isn't something that will be supported by the Mandalorians. This much I know after talking with several of them, and have discussions among them in their board. However, the proposed idea is that the Republic can look to individual clan support, and hire out mercenary types, to help improve relations. This might work it's way into being more copacetic with the entire Faction.

On another note, at current the Mandalorian who spear-headed the idea of a Raid on Rusaan is currently challenging the reigning Mand'alor; Azrael for his title. So potentially, the Republic may be facing someone who doesn't really care about potential alliances, and would rather just raid and skirmish as they like. So that's something else to consider. Oh, and in case you're confused on why I'm chiming in; I write Azrael.

Now now, we are just here to vote and then have some fun with the aftermath. No need to bring such a discussion and what is to become a debate if history repeats itself here again. The Vote is to show after all we do want to still help.
