Repo Men: Agents of Orange (Lords of the Fringe Dominion of Serpena)

[member="Hecate"]'s fleet tangled with the rest of the Subach convoy. Unaware of the welcome presence of [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"], Jorus moved to dock near @Layla. The hatch opened, blasterfire raged through -- and ran into a portable shield setup. From just out of their line of fire, he shot dampener aerosol, and the mist stopped the blasterfire. His second barrel roared, a CryoBan charge that turned the gunmen to ice.

He reloaded as he walked through them, Beyyr and Miktik at his back. A huge Wookiee and a mechanic Kushiban.

"Sentient beings are so much more handy. Remind me never to buy you a toaster." She was halfway down another hallway when [member="Lucianus Adair"] caught upend skewered a poor sap who didn't have the courage to defend his life and have an honourable, dignified death. That would change, she hoped and somewhere they would get a fight.

Ahani's eyebrows raised. "Colour me impressed. . . oh . . oh my. . . " she whimpered with absolute glee as she rounded the corner and tore through the next door. Holocrons, datacrons, scrolls.... they were so beautiful Ahani could cry!

But that would ruin a perfectly carnagistical moment, so she yanked out a bag and started pushing things into it. "Oh Adair, you've made me the happiest thief in the. . . DOWN IN FRONT!" She threw her sword, as the security guards opened fire and the sword sliced through one, then wheeled back around catching the other in the side. Ahani dropped and rolled, before picking her sword up and dispatching another of the guards, but there were more of them.

"Enough to share! At least these ones are dying well, unlike those other saps! How did people get so weak, eh? Weren't like this a few hundred years ago!"

From the sky rained forth comets of fury and malice, drop-pods carrying members of the infamous Blackblade Guard, elite killers armed with the best weapons and armor money could buy and experience tempered on the fields of Junction, Concord Dawn, and hundreds of other battlefields. The shriek of metal in re-entry was the herald of destruction, and followed shortly was the roar of dozens of these drop-pods slamming into the ground with a big enough impact to shatter anything in the radius of their landing. That included foliage, buildings, and people. The doors of the pods opened, and out poured the Blackblade, injectors delivering doses of powerful rage-inducing stimulants to force them into unnatural states of aggression. They would destroy and rip apart anything that wasn't designated as a friendly on their HUDs, and they showed no mercy for anyone.

They were followed shortly by their leader, a being more malicious than even the most brutal of Blackblades, the insidious Sith Lord, Kaine Zambrano. He wore a suit of standard Blackblade armor covered by a cloak of maroon, his curved-hilt lightsaber cutting a swath through the air as he commanded the charge of his faithful killers towards the assumed location of a cache of artifacts that he had purposefully landed near.

In the words of a famous conqueror of old, 'Cry havoc!, and let slip the dogs of war!'

With her trio of droids in hand, Mertaal was slowly making her way from corridor to corridor. Another flash bang grenade would be rolled onto the floor, only for Skye to hide behind a wall to prevent the bright light from overloading her cybernetic eyepatch.

Three, two...

Out of the hideyhole she would walk from, sending a volley of blaster fire at a series of guards coming towards her. Scorched holes would cut through armor and graze the wall.

"I'll make them apologize," he said quietly, and a nearby droid exploded. The sonic servo intersected a pipe, and coolant sprayed over the nearest crewer squad. A lit match was all it took to make them run. Fething Subach.

Thanks to Moira's close working relationship with Fringe in general and the Capitalist Witch of the Spacelanes specifically, some of the droids had those assault rifles with underslung paddle beamers. These were used to paralyse a number guards who had been smart or lucky enough to seek cover from the initial barrage of bolter fire and the blazing rounds shooting out of miniguns.

Said paralysed guards would be...treated well. In fact they would receive perfect medical care as the Legionnaire battle droids transported them to their dropship. The medical care that would ensure that they would never ever get sick again or need to visit a doctor. Through the blazing flames and over the rubble and corpses Moira advanced, grabbing a guard who fired upon her to break his arm and toss him aside. Transmitting out commands to her unit via electronic communication, she and her particular group linked up with Rave, Moira taking point.

Carnage, loot and destruction. Such a productive way to spend a weekend. The Merrills always took her to places she liked.

Hecate felt as though the battle was overly chaotic, especially considering she hardly knew the forces. The reason she was here was to provide a decent glimpse of Firemane's quality on the battlefield. She had nothing against this enemy, but that wasn't a problem. Her only concerns were to assist the battlegroup that had invited Firemane to participate in this conflict. That and Lady Siobhan would be going out into that battle zone and the Echani was going to make sure that her employer and force mistress arrived whether she intended unhindered. "Of course Lady Kerrigan, with you on the battlefield and our newly designed ships a part of the assault the skies will burn with wreckage and corpses. We're coming into range now."

To that end the Thuella class cruiser and its Illyria frigate support blasted away, laser cannons, flak guns, and point defense systems opening fire on enemy starfighters that attempted to make an unorganized strafing run on the newly arrived fleet trying to cross the battlefield to the Absolution a short distance away. Hecate made sure to keep the Adril fighters deploying from the Thuella from engaging just yet since for now Firemane's capital ship's defenses could handle the paltry effort. Once they reached the Lucrehulk their allies commanded the Echani Lieutenant intended to keep half her fighters as a screen since she was unsure for now how Jorus would command his own forces.

The rest she planned to have act as escort for their gunships and dropships whenever Siobhan decided to take them out to a target.

In the wake of the HRD onslaught, Rave could only look around the factory -- pretty close to immaculate, minus a few regions of recent perforation -- with one coherent thought.

"Moira, if you weren't clockwork and I wasn't straight, I would kiss you. This is amazing. Carry on."

Nothing like using bent light to avoid detection. The hatch would open, and much to the confusion of the guards, there would be no one to shoot down.

Seemingly at least.

That's when a stun grenade would appear as well as the svelte brunette, a perky grin upon her face as she said " Boo!" Before rushing off.

BOOM!

'Thank you, Admiral. Means a lot coming from you.' The ageless Echani watched as his Battle Groups committed to their missions with a lethal efficiency and blistering speed. They'd been keyed up somehow - made excited and it showed. Manu himself was about to launch into action but knew the better of it. His body frail and broken, he needed to remain where he was most useful. A hand to hand fight would take too much out of the man.

'We want to keep any of the bits, or can I let my junior officers take this as a Training Wheels experience and let them trial and err on slag diminishing? Might be fun to. . . your eight. Ships.'

The frigate was a standard Subach model, but if Jorus knew the mind of Subach at all, the greatest treasures of the convoy wouldn't be in the container ships, they'd be in the most secure part of this warship. Tenloss Ambassador revolvers and Mandalorian shell gun served as masterkeys as he chewed his way through the starship to where instinctive astrogation told him he'd find something...special.

Lucianus shook his head, helping to load up on the objects at the end of their path of destruction and dismemberment, his sword having been flicked mostly clean. More assailants appeared, but [member="Ahani Najwa"] dispatched them handily, with skill that brought some measure of respect into his mind as far as she was concerned.

"It was always like this. The likes of you and I were merely more concerned with and engaged in battles against those of our own ilk."

The smell of blood was glorious, and it sharpened his focus on everything in the world around him. The happiest thief, hm? It had been centuries since anyone had said that he had made them 'the happiest' anything.

What a strange woman, he thought, packing away the spoils along with her.

Deeper into the building she would go, the whispers of fervent spells shrieking from her throat as the scream of the ssurian went blasting the new set of guards in front of her.
Delicious sadistic pleasure would shower over her face, as the dark ragged robes went drifting over bloody and broken bodies. Down a corridor and to the left, yesssssssssss...
That is when she caught one sniffling guard with an identification detailing he was higher up the food chain. Clawed fingers went to grab him by the neck, as super human strength would raise him to his feet.
"Let's see what we have here..."

Screams of utter horror and pain would echo across the nearby corridors as Aarrki wove the spell of revealing knowledge to rip any information of where the vaults would be from the guards mind.

A sad smile tugged at the corners of her lips.

"Ni kar'tayli gar darasuum."

Then they were moving again, coming to control centre. A flash bang skittered to the centre of the room, rendering everyone in there deaf and blind. The first one to recover found themselves staring down the barrel of the vornskr. "Time to get out." she told him, firmly.

Target: Uh, Subach-Innes ships and stuff!
On the Thuella-class cruiser

The battle was indeed quite chaotic. Perhaps the Chaos Gods had a hand in it. Either way, Firemane was here and using its ships for great effectiveness. Personally Siobhan considered Subach-Innes to be an annoyance and nothing more, but she figured that this would also give the Eldorai crews some much needed experience, for most of them were still rather new, though many of the officers were Firemane personnel. If the Eldorai were a bit reminiscent of Meiji Japan then the Firemane mercenaries were much like their British and Prussian advisers.

Admittedly Siobhan probably did not make a good Prussian, being far too decadent. Regardless she watched the battle unfold as the Adril fighters and capital guns were unleashed. Seeing the fighters named after her dead teacher and lover in action brought a thin smile to her face. With her mind she reached out to grab an SI fighter that was seeking to escape, telekinetic energy compressing around the craft as she poured her will into crushing it. A satisfying explosion blossomed, though obviously in space there is no sound. "Good. Wipe the skies clean."

It wouldn't be long before Layla would come across Jorus Merrill.

The sound of his shotgun used as the masterkey would be enough to allow her to locate him. She would appear to be relatively unarmed -- relatively. One Taozin amulet dangling from her neck.

She'd picked up a blaster on the way from one of the stunned guards. Her hands would rise, so as to show she wasn't part of Subach.

"HI -- I'm the K-Type." here came the subtle smile.

[member="Anders Sivas"] was good for her. Too good sometimes (or so she believed). Lia smiled, and her shoulders let free some of the tension. She could wait. Waiting wasn't so bad. They were ready... more ready than they'd been before. Each encounter with emergency was a learning experience, and she drew from it, getting better at this.

"It's good to be prepared," she agreed, looking around for a second, "and thanks. I don't think anyone else could do for me what you do, hun."

She felt content in that fact. Another thought came to her and she giggled a moment. "And who knows where we'd be without Bucket!"

The automated defenses busy with various attackers the Cyhraeth Freighter started to weave past the entire fleet towards the orbital shipyards. Siara was not a great pilot but she was good enough to keep from being blown up. The ship cruised up against the nearest docking port she could locate. She brought the force cylinder online creating a seat around the docking port the entire squad transited started to move into the shipyard, blocked by the door of the airlock the Kiffar woman squeezed to the front. Using a dataspike she forced the airlock open letting the squad push in.

Defenders on the other side of the room opened fire trying to keep the Crusader troops at bay. Siara took a glancing shot over her shoulder the entire squad found cover positions just inside the airlock. The armor they wore was more than enough to take such inaccurate shots. The entire squad returned fire on the enemy attackers.

Kentarch reached out with the force, slowly the sealed vault door grinding against its restraints open. Kentarch stopped to take a breather, then move inside. He was a bit awe struck bu some of the artifacts founds. Several ancient holocrons. One from Bo Vanda, he quickly pocketed this one. He scooped up a case of rare crystals and picked up some archaic looking swords. He made sure what he took was of some value. Then we he could carry no more turned round and headed out the way he came.

Two orbital defense platforms down.

Two more to go.

Life was good. He repeated again as his arms went spreading wide, the tips of his trenchcoat brushing his boots. There was a jovial atmosphere in the air, even as the blasting debris of the orbital defenses lit up his viewport like the proverbial Life Day Celebration.

"I think we need some music, boys!" enter a quick tap of the panel in front of him as he brought up a nice little melody." For this maaaaaaaarvelous production!"
Then came the first strains throughout his ships and those along with him, as the third orbital defense platform began to take fire.
