Revan's Mask

Doesn't it seem a little unfair to you to choose to opt out of PVP in a so-far primarily PVP-based thread? Everyone else in the thread came ready to knock heads with other characters, not just dodge a few droids, do a fancy jump, and nab the prize. If you plan on ignoring the PVP, then it's 100% guaranteed (unless, of course, other writers bring up the issue) for your character to get the mask.

Your reasoning for wanting it, alas, does not matter. You're still a part of a group of people who want it, and to ignore the efforts of others is more than a tad rude.

If you want the mask, then you need to play by the same rules as everyone else. My character is undetectable by the droids right now. If I decided not to pvp, then all I would have to do is get the mask in my possession and the thread would be over. Nobody could touch me, and the droids wouldn't be able to see me. Automatic victory for me.

You don't need to take the hit, but you need to acknowledge it and find a reasonable way around it. If I'm completely out of line and am misinformed of the rules of the thread, please correct me [member="Miss Blonde"]. If I can ignore everyone else's actions and get the mask, please tell me so. Because I'll be happy to snatch the mask and hitch a ride home with [member="Aedan Miles"], considering he wouldn't even be able to engage me in pvp without my permission.

[member="Lord Ajihad"] personally I'm not a fan of pvp. I'm not good at it and I like to avoid it. So I would expect you'd respect my decisions on that. Even though I'm against pvp I dose not stop someone sending an npc after me. Because that is not pvp but pve. Again others could block my exit. There are so many variables you can use. Same as if I got a pm saying hey can we scrap? And ground rules laid that's fine but still I'm no fan of pvp and hense my own decision to indulge into it or not. We are free to write who we prefer not you have to do this and that because I don't like it.

There are so many things I could say in response to this that I don't even know where to start. Shall we go through a bullet point list?... Yes, I do believe that that would be the most effective way to handle this.
  • You're not a big fan of PVP? That's alright, a lot of people aren't. I'm not always the most fond of it myself. However... there are many situations that require PVP. In these situations, instead of asking every other writer to bend to your needs, the best thing to do is usually, well, avoid them. If everyone else here is doing PVP, it's not exactly fair to ask them all to stop, just so you can avoid something you don't like.
  • You'd expect us to respect your decision? Your decision so far has been to bypass the action of the thread and ask us to skip over you ignoring us. Does that count as respecting us? I'm not terribly sure it does. There are more ways to go about this than just 'I don't like PVP, therefore I will ignore the PVP in the thread, grab the prize, and leave'. Everyone else made a decision to fight for it. Is that fair? In the context of the thread, yes, yes it is.
  • You want us to send NPCs after you? So, what, we're supposed to see who can send the strongest or largest amount of NPCs at you? Last time I checked, you could ignore those too. Additionally, the possibility for abuse rises with something like that. We could all just send a bunch of Sith Lord NPCs your way and call it 'PVE'. Somehow I don't think either of us would enjoy that.
  • We could block your exit? Oh, with more NPCs, or...? We could block you all we want, but that also requires your cooperation. Most of us would prefer to use our own characters for that. If we all did what you wanted, and used NPCs instead of our already-there PCs, it would add a whole new level of mess to this shedabble. Fighting our PCs wouldn't even be that different from fighting the NPCs. The main difference? Some of us wouldn't even bother to give said NPCs names. Poor nameless fools.
  • I'm fine with you not doing PVP. I'm less fine with you essentially walking into a PVP area and expecting no one to attack you, or to stop doing so when you ask- well, not really ask, per se. I don't remember you really asking, just kinda saying 'I'd rather not, so, uh, just don't'.
  • We are, indeed, free to write who we want to write. And as far as I can tell, most people in this thread want to write a character who fights other people.
Have I made my point yet? Or should I continue?

Just stick with me for now maybe a deal can be made and its not like anyone is going to mess with me and the troops I brought. Unless they are slightly insane. Plus Romeo should be joining us shortly.

Suddenly I don't feel like a laugh is worth the headache I'm getting.
I imagine Antoir will be making her leave shortly, probably grabbing a consolation prize of some rocks on her way out.

Can I ask how you know about the Mass Shadow Drive? How you know it is a superweapon of mass destruction? And that Darth Revan built this Sith Temple?
I may have did that wrong, but Revan at least found the temple hidden on Malachor V that the Triumvirate used as their HQ. Upon finding it, Revan plotted it to be to the place where the Mandalorian Wars would end and had the Mass Shadow Drive constructed. (Wookiee says this, look up battles and stuff) As for the rest, this is history we are talking about.........That's kinda like asking someone:

"So....do you know how America was founded?"

or

"Who took over the Republic, and turned it into a Empire?"

Even Plaigus asked Palpatine what he thought Malak was thinking when his jaw was cut off.

I'm going to leave this between you and Romeo. He can report it if he wants to, though I doubt he would over a few rocks.

However, I'm going to say this.

If it comes to a situation where Aji would be compelled to attack Teresa, he will. If you ignore the attack, I will ask for an edit. If you refuse, I will report you. And I am very certain it is a report I will win. Not coming after you, just giving you the fairest of warnings.
