Sad news the world wakes up to today, the English musical icon David Bowie has died aged 69 after a brave 18 month battle against cancer that he sadly lost, albeit peacefully.

A man who helped influence music, film, television, sexuality, culture and fashion with a lifetime of classic songs and works for us to continue enjoying into the future.

Just wanted to share this audio clip from the UK comedy show 'Extras' in 2006 staring Ricky Gervais, featuring celebrity cameos playing exaggerated versions of themselves in the media industry.

Here, Andy (Gervais), a struggling TV actor trying to make it big, bumps into Bowie at an exclusive London club and starts chatting about how he wants to be a big star but finds the material he works with "beneath him". Bowie suddenly turns the situation into an impromptu sing-song, much to Andy's embarrassment.
