Roma-Ah-Ah-Oh-Oh [SJO] [Ra]

SJO OPERATION: SLINGBLADE
Location: Unknown planet just outside of Silver Space
Objective: Infiltrate the slaver hideout, save hostages before they can be sold to slavery.
Operatives: Josh DragonsFlame
Allies: Ra'ma

"Blast. Locked."

Josh had been assigned by the Silver Jedi Order to a mission to liberate a building where a group of slavers were holding people hostage to be sold. They had kidnapped them from a nearby Silver system, and now the Jedi were out to get them back to their homes. On the way there, Josh had been in contact with Ra, as the two had been talking fairly regularly for some time, and the mission had been brought up. Ra had offered to meet him there, and lend a hand. Grateful, Josh had accepted the offer and the two had set up coordinates to meet. Once there, the two had managed to infiltrate the facility... But had now reached a dead end.

"I don't see a way around it" Josh would admit, as he would begin to walk quietly around the room, not wanting to alert the guards. "The only door to the next floor down is locked and shut tight. There has to be another way down."

It was with that, he would notice a vent above them, and noted it was large enough that, while it would be a tight squeeze... Maybe... Just maybe...

The thought of getting out of what had become routine for her was something Ra wasn't about to let slip away. While the life of a merchant was nice and comfy, it was rather boring. Especially considering she used to be a sith assassin. That was no longer the case, but the training was still there.

Meeting up with Josh hadn't proved difficult and she came prepared. Instead of appearing like normal, she came dressed in head to toe armor. This wouldn't be its first time out, but close to that. A previous engagement she had with the Metal Lords had been its first. It provided her full freedom of movement as well as a few other neat odds and ends. Perfect for a mission such as this.

She had turned off the voice modulation so she simply sounded like a human wearing a mask. Josh may find it funny and it was, but she wanted to get comfortable wearing armor. It was not something she had done before.

Not yet having spoken much, she checked out the locked door as well. He was right, apparently there was no way around it. Turning to face him, she crossed her arms over her chest and looked at him.

"There has to be a way through. Maybe it's a one way thing and we came in the wrong door."

Following his gaze, she saw the vent opening as well. She would be able to fit with little discomfort, but it would be a tight fit for him.

"Do we have a schematic of the vent system here? A map would have been wonderful."

He thought she looked cuter when she wasn't cloaked head to toe in armour, and he'd voiced that. He wore the Magnus Armour under his robes. Since Jedi Robes were generally fairly bulky, that wasn't such a hard thing to do, mind. But he hadn't bothered crafting a helmet for it using the Magnus Metal. He did still have some of it remaining for the sake of repairs, but he didn't bother to fashion a helmet. He never liked them. They caused his neck discomfort and limited his range of movement. Having to remember to keep it on didn't help either. It was another thing on his mind that he didn't need.

"I checked, there was only the one door. They sealed it from the other side to keep out intruders. It probably has an opening switch on the other side" He remarked. "Clever."

It seemed the vents would have to do. Josh was 6'5 with a muscular frame, this would not be an easy squeeze for him. Letting out a sigh, he would hold out a hand and activate the hook on his wrist, aiming it at the grate, before doing the same with the hook on his other wrist. As the hooks would lock around, he would pull and pull hard, noting that the grate had been sealed in tight, before it came flying off. Using the Force, he would stop it's fall and catch it with his hands, before putting it down.

"Come on, let's hurry this. I'll boost you up, and then you can pull me in" Josh would remark as he would lean down, letting her stand on his hands so he could lift her up so she could reach, "Would be easier without your space ranger armour, but..."

Of course he had made it clear what he thought of the armor and she was still trying to decide if she even liked it. Not something she had ever worn much before, this was still new to her. Time would tell how it all worked out with the armor.

"This does not make me weigh any more than what I would be wearing something normal."

Watching as he opened the vent as quietly as he could, he caught the cover with the Force and set it down. Placing a foot in his offered hands to boost her up, she enhanced it with the Force just to make sure she made it all the way in one trip. Pulling herself in, she looked back down at him and waited until he was ready before lifting him with the Force to join her.

"May want to replace the cover as best you can. Make it a little less obvious when our entry is discovered."

"It's armour and it covers you in a hard material from head to toe, honey. Odds are it's gonna be at least a bit heavier" Josh pointed out as he would boost Ra up to the vents. Once she was there, he would leap up, holding the cover. With Ra's assistance, he would manage to squeeze in, replacing the cover when he had the chance. He would barely manage to squeeze himself back to where he could begin crawling forward.

"Sodding hell" He muttered under his breath, he could barely move in here, it was a miracle he could move at all! He would begin crawling forward, grumbling to himself.

"There should be another vent grate" Josh would point out. "We'd be best to find one that leads downward, so watch below you."

"Only hard thing involved around here is your head."

This was said with a smile on her voice. She was just as stubborn at times and would freely admit it. Her suit wasn't hard armor, but more light weight, soft and form fitting. Only her helmet was hard.

Luckily the helmet had all sorts tricks and night vision was one of them. She could see almost as clearly as if it were day for her.

Tilting her head slightly to look behind her at Josh as he spoke and she moved to give him more room.

"I know the real reasons you want to be back there. You get a good look at my tush and if the venting fails, I'm the one that goes down first."

A wicked grin crossed his lips when she commented that he just wanted a good look at her tush. “I won’t deny that” The Jedi teased in turn. He would move a bit when given room but as the surface went downward the walls got smaller, making Josh’s room for movement much smaller and causing him more discomfort. He would try to move more quickly behind her to accomodate.

At the end of the surface, Ra would be able to see a new grate just below her.

At least he didn't bother to deny what she said. Shrugging her shoulders, Ra set the pace and hoped he would be able to keep up. Being smaller than he was, she could move faster in the close confines of the vent system. In the darkness, he really wouldn't get that good of a view so would have to rely on memory and imagination for the details.

She stopped within a hand's reach of the grate and turned her head to look at Josh. Even if he couldn't see as well as she could, the body motion she made should be clear.

"Next grate is just in front of me. What is to be expected on the other side?"

Hopefully it was a broom closet or something not in a public location.

It was a shame he couldn't see it well, but it was what it was. Josh would try to hurry best he could so as not to be left behind despite the tightness of it. The discomfort also played a factor, the faster he forced himself through, the faster they would be out of there. The Jedi was far from happy about this, but he had to do what he had to do. Unfortunately, because of it, he didn't see nor sense Ra stopping in time.

And in turn, he didn't stop in time.

It wasn't a hard guess to know what his head had mashed into, and with flaming cheeks he would try to pull back but the lack of space made it almost impossible. He tried to say something to Ra, but his speech came out muffled for a few moments until he realized she probably couldn't hear him. Resigning to his fate, he would relax against her while he tried to contact her telepathically.

"I can't see, but" Sounded in her head. "Try to sense if there is any life on the other side. Gauge our enemy and if our odds are good, then loosen the grate and we'll take our chances. It might be our only choice anyway, considering you've stopped and I assume this is a dead end otherwise. Just try and make it quick."

@Ra'a'mah

Ra had no idea just poorly Josh could see (or not) in the darkness. Something she should have thought of before stopping. The ensuing connection of his face to her tush would have normally caused her to blush or just start laughing at how silly it was. Not today though, neither one happened. Instead she took it as an accident and moved forward just a touch more as he attempted to pull away.

When his voice was still rather muffled, Josh changed his mind and just communicated with her telepathically.

There is still more venting ahead of us. This was the first one we have come across.

He told her to reach out with the Force and feel for any life down there and if he could have seen her look, it was a rather nasty looking one. To her this meant she would need to feel the emotions of these people and she was very poor at doing that. Luckily she had taken a lesson on empathy through the Force, but hadn't practiced it much. In other words, he asked her to accomplish something that was going to be difficult for her.

Letting out a sigh, Ra closed her eyes, attempted to tune out the various tools her helmet provided. Some of them came in handy, but not all the time. Eventually she got things figured out and could focus on what was below them.

Apparently it's like a guard room. Couple of people in there. Want me to move on?

He could feel the amusement in her emotions, though he himself could feel a -lot- of things, considering his face was smushed against her tush. Not that he would ordinarily mind such a position, and it was quite close to a position he had promised her some time ago... But that was meant to be without clothing. And not in a vent. He tried to get ahold of her telepathically, then, and she would respond noting that there were more vents. Once she would check using her senses the amount of life in the room, they then had a decision to make.

"We could take them by surprise, or we could try and see if any others fare better, yes" Sounded telepathically. "I'll leave it up to you. Feel free to take your time."

The last bit was a definite innuendo, and she could likely sense the amusement after that.

Not wanting to be in this position for long, Ra really did have to bury a small chuckle at his joke. He had said sometime they would be in a similar position, but she didn't think this was how he meant it.

If he could have heard the comments she was thinking, he would have been rolling in laughter. Not bothering to give voice to any of them, she wondered if another vent would give them better luck or if this was going to be the best opportunity.

Going off intuition here and some thought on the way these people might work, she decided to move on. They weren't here to beat in the skulls of a couple guards, but break out and rescue slaves. So she carefully moved over the vent and turned on an external light to her helmet. She turned her head to shine it in the general direction of Josh to allow him to see where the vent was to move across it himself.

I think further on would be better and closer to where we want to be.

Not that Josh wasn't enjoying his time with his face in Ra's backside, but the time to enjoy that proper would come later. Letting out a deep breath when Ra would finally release him from her "clutches", he would do his best to remain focused on the task at hand with only minimal staring. The light she shone soon after was a relief as Josh could now see a bit better, though they needed to be careful to not allow it to give them away.

"Lead the way."

That light did not remain on for very long, just the amount of time Josh needed to get across the vent. He may not like the darkness of the system, but they were more likely to catch attention if that light was noticed. Most people did not look up very often so Ra did not think they were going to get caught so soon. When they left the venting, then they would need to find ways to fit in with this crowd.

"Do you know how to stealth by chance?"

There were two ways she could accomplish this. It was one of the features built into the suit, but it could also be done through the Force. A simple bending of the lightwaves around her body and she would disappear. She hoped he knew how to do it or they would have a more difficult time when they did exit.

Her light went out and she moved on. After what felt like hours, but was only about ten minutes they came up to another vent. A thought had crossed her mind and she wondered what was under where there weren't any vents. Assuming Josh would collide with her tush again, she turned that light on so he would see she stopped this time.

"Give me a moment and I'll let you know if there is anybody in this room."

Like she had before, she reached out to feel. This time though she didn't sense anybody in the room currently.

"Nobody in here right now."

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"]

"Depends. I can change my form to take the guise of invisibility" Josh would respond. "But if you're asking if I can stealth the normal way, no. I'm a little too big to stealth the normal way most likely, I would make too much noise" He noted. Josh was climbing a bit more slowly this time, though it was good that Ra had sense to shine the light when she stopped this time, so as not to cause another head-on collision. Though somehow he doubted she would mind if he did. He also doubted she would let him live this down.

Ra would scan the next room, and she would find there was no life inside. Josh nodded his head. "Then let's go before there are actually people" He remarked. "Though if you can't sense life, odds are that the hostages aren't nearby either."

The answer he gave actually confused her slightly, but she didn't ask for clarification. He essentially said he could stealth, but it wouldn't last very long since he was a clutz. At least that was how Ra heard it in her mind as a sense of humor reared in her. Must just come with practise the ability to sneak around, but Ra had been an assassin for a time. Luckily it hadn't been something she had needed to actually do ever. Assassinate somebody.

"That's too bad. Oh well."

When he said to go on and get down into the room before people did show up, she smiled slightly. With her helmet on, he wouldn't see it, but now she would be putting to use some of the different skills her suit did have. It was built for various uses which included slicing and stealth, it also had some other features and the grate next to her was quickly removed.

"You first, I'll follow you down and get this back in place."

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"]

Odds are that Ra would see sooner or later, if it came to it. He'd show what he meant. But as it was, a larger form was going to make too much noise if he tried to stealth too long in these vents. He was already having trouble as it was. Regardless, he shrugged his shoulders lightly - as best he could - at her response as the two would come to a grate.

"Oh, that's just grate. Should have told me you had a grate removing suit" Josh would pun as he would manage to squeeze past her. Well, not before turning his head when he was near hers and giving her a playful little kissy face before climbing down.

"Oh just get down there!"

It was a whisper, but fierce sounding on purpose.

One Josh was down in the room, Ra kept her hold on the grate, put it almost fully back into place and slithered through. Once it was in place, but not bolted in case they needed to get back out the same way...meaning their mission failed and it was just the two of them, it was there as an option.

"This suit can be quite handy. So where to Cap?"

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"]

Amongst stifled laughter, the Jedi Master would manage to get past Ra in order to climb out of the vents and jump down, landing on his feet. He would hear Ra climb down behind him as the redhead would then close the grate behind them. Taking a deep breath, he would consider where to go next. Hopefully they wouldn't need to go back this way.

"Well, I can hide us both, but I can't fight when in this form, and we'll need to walk quietly" He would whisper as the blonde would place a hand on her shoulder. Within moments, the both of them disappeared from view - and from sensing. "You'll need to hang onto me though."

@Ra'a'mah

"Quiet is my middle name...well not really, but you get the idea."

To the best of her knowledge she didn't even have a middle name, but that wasn't the point right now. Giving him an odd look even though her face was covered, Josh wouldn't know it was given to him. He reached out and touched her shoulder. In the same action he said she would need to hang onto him. Which she did and rested her hand on top of his on her shoulder.

"Um...this is interesting. Alright, alright, I'll shut up."

It was a good thing they were invisible as the door started to open and somebody glanced in. A random, ruffian looking younger man. Just a quick look in and not seeing anything, the door started closing as he left.
