Rumors in the Swamp (PM to Join)

he did not reply as he the smell of the primal animals around was bugging his nose, meanwhile the others searched the swamp he looked around trying to figur out the location of the animals somewhere in the trees, Leir'mal yawned as he waited for Sevas to get to wreckage and report to Torvas, he then waited close by next to a tree as he held his blades grip and looked around keeping an eye out so nothing would attack them since he new there was predators in these swamps and they were not mess with, he yawned as he waited for Sevas to get to the ship.

The metal person who had left earlier seemed to have come back and inspected himself maybe even played with himself. What was he doing, was he cleaning himself? Was he getting rid of fleas like biting them. He didn't have fur though so that couldn't be it. Maybe he had a special kind of parasite on him. In any case he seemed to finish whatever the heck it was he was doing and continued to converse with the other two one of which seemed to be taking an unusual interest in the animal life around which most people would tend to ignore.

Oni would sink quickly to his target, weighed down by his armor that made attempting to swim pointless. Not to mention the armor was made to be angled and deflect gunfire, making it hydro-dynamic. He'd grin as boots met with algae-covered hull in a hollow thud. The hollow sound meant the ship wasn't completely flooded. Making sure to scrape off some algae to check for rust, it was mostly superficial if present at all. Meaning it wasn't too old. Hell, the owner might still be alive if he knew how to survive in this environment. Checking the cockpit wasn't possible, well, easily anyways. So, he hooked up the cable and held onto it as he called in.

"Alright Torvas, start towing it up. It seems to be in good shape, just keep an eye out since it is more recent looking than I thought. Pilot could still be alive."

He'd just hold on to the cable as the vessel was dragged up. If he couldn't tow it up, he'd have to climb the cable to the surface and help with his ship. Oh well. for now he would just hope for the best.

As soon as he understood just what it was that [member="Leir'mal"] was doing, Torvas turned about and offered a salute as though he were silently thanking him for watching out for those predators. Though they were both predators in their own rights, that didn't mean that it was safe to assume that there wasn't anything around them that could cause them harm, so he was glad that the other was indeed quite alert.

Once he got the word from [member="Oni-Karat Sevas"], Torvas offered a signal with his paw before speaking into the com. He wasn't at all sure if the other could see him from the vantage of the vessel he owned, but Torvas thought it best to signal in any way possible.

"Engaging thrusters...now! Slack on the line is being collected...you should have tension right about now."

Naturally the Shistavanen couldn't see what was going on down the line, so he had to merely assume that everything was going steady and that the towing operation was being carried out correctly.

"Should I slow things up a bit, or am I clear to keep going?"

While he was speaking into his comlink of course, Torvas was also using his hands to signal out the view-port of his vessel as well. He figured that if the link went out he had to stay in touch. Coming from the Bespin Wing Guard, Torvas tended to be rather professional.

Oni was calmly settled on the ship as it groaned. Vibrations tensed through the waters as line was pulled taut. Of course, there was a creaking sound before Oni's vision went dark. Mud was kicked up and murking the water as it began to suck free of the mud. He had nothing to do but wait. Things were going well, and he could no longer see.

"Keep going. Only slow down when it exits the water, then carefully guide it to the shore. Try not to squish the others."
[member="Torvas Vief"]

Leir'mal looked while Torvas ship dragged the wreckage from the swamp as he still was alert and kept an eye out of the surrounding area, it seemed that pulling up the wreckage was going well, though this would probably call for attention as Leir'mal heard a huge roar somewhere west as it echoed through the area, he did not know if the thing heard them but it felt like it, he would look at the direction where the roar came from as he looked at Torvas in the cockpit

Large ships began moving around making a bunch of noise. It scared all the animals in the vicinity away. Some predator out there seemed to have been provoked by it and gave out a roar. Then animals around it scattered as well. One moment everything was nice an peaceful and the next everything was startling and frightening. It was a shame the wildlife had just started to get use to the three strangers hanging out around them. Now they were totally scared of them all over again. Birds fled into the air abandoning their nests which sat nearby and other animals just visiting the area on the ground or in the trees also fled.

"Roger, I am going to slow things down a bit." Considering the advice offered before by [member="Oni-Karat Sevas"] and the way things looked, Torvas slowed down the towing process so that he could gradually remove the ship from the water. As the mud started to really make the characteristic popping noise associated with moving objects out of it, he couldn't hear the predatory call that [member="Leir'mal"] had noticed nor any of the other complaints that the animals had offered.

Perhaps that was for the best, considering that those animal noises might very well have driven him off his chosen task in spite of the fact that this was actually necessary work in its own right in order to preserve the local balance.

"How is it coming?"

The words were, of course, spoken into the com-link device.

Oni held tightly to the cable as his helmet broke the surface of the water, bringing a clump of flora with him on his shoulders. His armor wasn't thick with muck, since he hadn't actually been in the muck, just on the ship. As the ship broke the surface, there wasn't a great pouring of water out of the main space. The engines and landing gear bays however, were water-logged and the right was coated in what looked to be some sort of nest. Joy. Oni was standing atop it only long enough for it to no longer be touching the water, with a few steps, he bolted forward and jumped off the ship and onto the shore with a solid thunk and a soft squish as his heavy armor caused him to sink into the soft ground some.

"We're looking good. You wouldn't happen to be a shipwright would you? This looks like it won't be flying without repairs, but we're mostly here for the cargo anyways."

He hadn't heard the roar, he'd have to be informed. As it was, he was heading for his ship to collect some cutting tools....and to check on his own ship. There was the missing pilot/crew. As he went towards his craft, he waved to [member="Leir'mal"].

Landing within a city close to [member="Leir'mal"] , [member="Oni-Karat Sevas"] , and [member="Torvas Vief"] was none other than Darth Ferus. The Red Man had chosen to come to the planet for the simple reason he had never done so before. With a smile, he would step out into the city itself with both hands behind his head. He was dressed as odd as he usually was, with his thick leather armor and nothing really else with it. Red skin was shown off proudly, even as he stood out among the crowds he stepped through.

This was almost a vacation for him.

He walked into one of the nearby Cafe shops, leaning onto one of the counters as he slipped his hands down to rest there. "Just a plain cup, please."

[member="Kitty"]

Soon enough the Shistavanen Wolfman was replying to [member="Oni-Karat Sevas"] via the comlink. "No, I am not a shipwright personally, but I was a member of the Bespin Wing Guard and I am decent when it comes to repairing repulsorlifts. Perhaps my droid and I could come to aid you?"

He picked up a caller in his other paw and pushed a switch on it, "Eight-Cee, activate!"

With that his mechanical assistant woke up, so to speak, and started to move over. "I am at your service, Master."

Once [member="Leir'mal"] got over toward Sevas, Torvas gave a thumbs-up to the other wolf from the vantage point of his ship to show him that he was in a safe area for the time being. Admittedly he was not sensitive to the power of the Force and considered it to be something mystical that had to be balanced and respected. As a result he was not yet aware of the fact that [member="Darth Ferus"] had arrived, though the wolfman's ship had indicated that other vessels were incoming.

It was ironic, considering that he had originally come to Dagobah assuming that no one was at all here. It looked like this had now become a hot spot to be at.

While most of the animals had left there were still a few who couldn't take off so quickly such as lizards and snakes in the trees. Then there were the insects climbing around the ships that were around. The ship continued to fly around lifting something while one of the wolf people seemed to just continue relaxing.

Meanwhile in another area of the planet a red skinned stranger entered the ruins of a city. He walked into an abandoned Cafe shop and ordered a plain cup or something. The only response he received was a lizard hanging upside down on the roof of the ruin instigating a staring contest with the man.

Ferus, as the opposite of luck would have it, was on this planet by pure chance. A chance that involved the Zabrak to eat the wrong kind of mushroom. What he thought was a real shop was nothing more than a ruin. A ruin with a lizard staring at him. To him, the Lizard was a Trandoshian waiter, staring intently at his customer as he waited for some sort of payment. And as a good customer the red man pulled out some credit chips, and began shoving them into the Lizards face.

The Lizard wasn't too keen on this, as it began to hiss and snap it's mouth. To the Zabrak, it sounded more like "You're money isn't any good here." And so, without warning and the full annoyance of a Sith Lord, he set the lizard on fire and turned to leave the 'shop'. "I wasn't really thirsty anyway.." He would go back out to the 'street' or swamp, glancing around the 'crowd' or trees to find something else to do.

This vacation was terrible.

Once he sets his boots on some 'solid' ground. He gives a grin, not that is visible behind his helm. "Got anything to cut open a bulkhead? I've got something, but it'll just make a hole....a large one. That or I rip the departure hatch down. Shouldn't be impossible."

While Oni himself was Force sensitive, he wasn't actually aware of such trivialities. Instead, when the presence of the Sith Lord was noticable to him, it wasn't a contemplative expression that was given, but the feeling of unease caused him to spin and drop into a zolan knife style combat stance......facing the empty swamp. Well, it wasn't like the feeling would leave, so now he was on edge...

His tone would be halted as he talked to Torvas. "Torvas, just set her down. Something's wrong....I need to get somewhere safe."

[member="Kitty"]

[member="Leir'mal"]

"i dont have any equipment with me on my ship but i can rip the bulkhead open" he would walk infront of the bulkhead as he set his claws in the middle digging in with his black claws as he started to slowly open it, as he opened it enough get his hand trough he would take a firm grip as he roared loudly and opened it, he let go as he looked inside the crached ship, it seemed pretty intact, i had some water inside but nothing to really worry about "there you go, i will go see on the dead crew, maybe i can get a hint on how they died" he would walk over to the corpes as he looked at them, seemed like they have been dead a couple of days, Leir'mal was not shure how long though he new from the smell, "seemed like they got out somehow, though.." he would say as he looked at the stomach at one of them and saw a couple of big claw marks "looks like they got killed by an animal, a big one since the claw marks ripped his stomach open, intresting" he would think for a moment, he got the scent of something from the corpes, not the rotten smell that came from the crew but something, almost like reptile of some sort "probably some sort of animal" he then would touch the stomach of one of the dead pilots with his finger as it was green/black, it was not blood since these were humans, he would smell it as he moved his head from the smell "poison, and a strong one at that, probably from the animal, a way for infecting its victims if he failed to kill them, seems it does not like to lose its prey" he then would feel an uneasy feeling from the forest, a strong one, though he was not force sensitive he knew that there was something or someone near that was not friendly since he felt a bloodlust.

Once the insects had congregated, Torvas started to wag his tail to brush them away. Naturally there wasn't any way that they were going to get inside of his ship and that wasn't a genuine concern, but apparently the hard-wired biological code took over whenever he was responding to certain stimuli.

Regardless, he was soon speaking into his com-link once more and addressing [member="Oni-Karat Sevas"], "I have my droid activated. Eight-Cee will be down in a few moments to get..." He then realized that he was being cut off by the other's instructions.

"What went wrong exactly?" Irrespective of the question he asked, he soon had indeed started to allow his ship to reverse direction and cease the hauling of the other vessel. The Shistavanen assumed that something was wrong with that, and not with the Force.

Soon enough he was doing his best to crane his neck and trying to see whatever it was that [member="Leir'mal"] was seeing. Looking toward the other wolf, he seemed to be trying to figure out what it was that he found on those deceased pilots. He wondered, albeit silently, if something else was at work here that he were not yet familiar yet. It certainly had looked that way that was for sure.

He motioned, wondering if the other wolf had a com-link or not. That would have admittedly made things a great deal more easier.

he saw the motioning from Torvas as he nodded, he would then look towards the swamp at the same direction as Sevas, he felt a strong bloodlust from that area though he could hear anything, he would growl a bit to himself as he held his hand on his blades grip as he walked a bit forward Sevas and tried to get scent, he could sense anything except the dead pilots and the swamp itself but he still had an uneasy feeling

The Lizard, now dead, was mourned by the others. Deep within the old Cafe shop the song of death could be heard ringing out through their homes. Unfortunately, this would have little effect on those around, as they themselves couldn't sing very well. His family however had come to see the Red Demon, watching from their perch. He had burned their father, and the hatred in their eyes would only go unnoticed. Soon they would forget, as any non sentient would, and return to life as they knew it. Each would walk side by side, exiting the old café shop in the middle of no where with no plans but to hunt and forage for food. Perhaps even find water. They, unlike the Zabrak, were thirsty.

And with that, Ferus was once more on the 'street' before the Cafe. In his wrong shroom induced high he looked about all the 'people' walking around him. None of them were interesting however, as each was only a figment of his imagination. And his imagination was a boring place to begin with. That was, until he felt [member="Oni-Karat Sevas"] . A smile began to form on the red man's face as he slowly moved his way towards the trio, thinking this would probably be much more entertaining then the lizard in the shop.

Or at least, more respectful.
