Alright, so I've reviewed your species as best I could, and I can't say that this seems practical. A blaster small enough to be used would be useless. Might I suggest a solid state laser pistol instead? I can make it tiny and still build in enough power to do some damage. It won't be powerful by any means, and you're not gonna get many shots, but I think it would still work better than a blaster that size.
