Shattered Dreams
GA Dominion of Taris

For months now, Taris has been the crossroads of conflict. A three way standoff between Imperialism, Crusade, and Democracy. But with the sudden attack by a rogue sith,Taris is once again a point of contention in the CORE WARS.

The Galactic Alliance must make the first move, and GA members of all walks of life move in to pick up the pieces of what is left of the capital city.

The Day After
(Social Obj)
The NJO and other GA members have moved in to help assist the survivors of the vicious attack on a neutral planet. Whether that be search and rescue, medical assistance, or working through the rubble, the NJO answers the call for aid. Search through the rubble for survivors, reach out to the local populous, and help rebuild.

Pirate Hunt
(PvE)
The forces of the rogue sith Lord Kalrath, raider of the Taris capital, were pirates banded together with the promise of plunder. Their ships fell from the skies, crashing within the city, and now their crews now sit in wait inside the fallen star destroyers that sit in the city limits. Search through the Fallen wreckage of the pirate fleet, restore order, and maybe make a few credits on bounties if you’re lucky.

In the Shadows
(Agentposting)
Despite the attacks, Taris has still been a point of contention between the Galactic Alliance and Dark Empire. Local imperial sympathizers seek to interrupt the GA’s efforts to assist in relief work, and the SIA has been sent in to intercept them. With the new rise of the Mandalorian Neo Crusaders, perhaps there is intel to be found on their actions.

The extended vacation after Coruscant was over. As nice as it was, it wasn't going to last forever, and the four knew that. In their absence, Taris had become a hellhole of crime and despair.

But it had also become a battleground for an underground war. One not fought in the daylight, but in the darkness.

"Eyes on target."

"I'm just around the corner. Tag and bag time."

"Van is ready to go. Waiting at the drop point."

"...hold on, I got something on the sensors. Tail and prep for point two Eagle."

"Are you ready, Padawan Porte?" Valery asked, her eyes focused on the remnants of a broken star destroyer. She felt the faint signatures of people inside — pirates, who hadn't managed to get off-world before the Alliance arrived. Taris had been a planet caught between Major Factions for some time now, and it was that chaos of being trapped in between that made it most vulnerable to these types.

But their time of terror was soon to be over.

"We're dealing with pirates, not dangerous Sith Lords. Let's try to minimize harm, so ideally we get them to surrender. If they don't, try to incapacitate them so we can take them captive." There was still a chance that lives would be lost, especially if they were in great numbers and started firing off blasters.

She just hoped they could avoid it.

Turning to the Padawan, Valery flashed a smirk, "Any questions before we go in?"

The Trade Federation Shuttle arrived at the outskirts of Taris' Capital City, touching down within a local agricultural park which was spared from the worst of the orbital bombardment. There were senate reports suggesting that this chaos was orchestrated by a rogue Sith Lord, unaffiliated with any of the currently established factions such as the Dark Side Elite of the Dark Empire or the Sith Order.

The emergence of an independent third party during the Core War could pose a considerable threat to the Galactic Alliance, leading to instability in the galactic economy admist the rapid influx of refugees and the rising costs of commercial shipping linked to such a terrible conflict as numerous hyperspace lanes were closed and various merchant guilds began to scale back their services as the new Imperial Decree came through which made foreign commerce an illegal act.

The Trade Federation faced a critical decision between aligning with the Alliance or the Empire, ultimately favoring the Alliance due to its expansive market and comparatively lenient regulations, which allowed for the possibility of obscuring certain actions through extensive documentation.

The shuttle ramp descended with a gentle hiss as the mechanisms disengaged from the landing gear, permitting the Neimoidian Senator to disembark and navigate through the remnants of the landscape toward the Alliance Relief Settlement.

He had extended an invitation to Makai Dashiell Makai Dashiell as part of the Federal Assembly's Corporate Outreach Program, to participate in a fact-finding mission to Taris.

"Ah ... Mr. Dashiell. We are honored that you accepted our invitation." Lodd remarked with a soft smile, fully aware that the younger Dashiell harbored a certain aversion to the Trade Federation from a commercial perspective. Nevertheless, their purpose was not to exploit the impoverished or deplete the planet's resources, but rather to collect information regarding the third party to assist the Senate in reaching a decision.

Near the drop pods Minerva stood holding her helmet by the right hip in front of the Alliance troops assembled before here. Many were veterans that had been with her but there were plenty of new faces as well. It had been months since the horrific battle for Coruscant and it took that amount to build up their strength again. The Mandalorian bore a calm expression with the hint of ferocity in her eyes of what will be soon unleashed upon their enemies. Clearing her throat she declared.

"Strike Force Havoc, my comrades in arms. I would rather fight beside you than any division of the whole Defense Force.”

A number of commandos smiled or nodded with silent pride. Many had been the outcasts of the GADF but together through blood, grief and sweat they forged this unit into a force of reckoning. Their warrior captain quickly continued.

"We have been to Taris before and helped save it from an undead attack. Now we are to purge it of the pirate scum that attacked this world recently. They took the credits of a Sith Lord and the innocents suffered for it. Now let's make them pay for their murderous greed. Those who surrender we will spare but otherwise take no chances."

While Minerva was an ally to the Jedi she was not one of them, but a daughter of Mandalore.

The Neo-Crusaders would call me a dar'manda. But I can care less about the opinions of child-murderers and self-destructive cultists like them. I don't need nor ever want their acceptance to be a Mandalorian.

Not wanting to waste another thought on them Minerva instead exclaimed to the troops, pointing with her left hand toward the drop pods behind her.

"Into the pods Havoc! Let's give those pirates a fight to remember!"

The Havoc commandos let out a collective roar in approval while several raised their weapons repeatedly. They weren't Mandalorians but many have picked up certain traits from their captain. Swifty putting her helmet on, Minerva raced toward the central pod soon joined by many more while others charged for the next ones. Strapping inside their seats the Alliance troops waited with the red light on as the pod's door closed. Within minutes the light's crimson rays turned emerald, the signal to launch.

Instantly several large drop pods shot out of the warship and toward Taris' surface. Minerva held onto her seat's handles as the vibrations worsened when they broke into the atmosphere. These minutes before landing were always the longest for her.

Meanwhile Valery, Aiden and the troops with them would see the pods descending downwards as if meteors. All of those pods slammed through the ruined destroyer within moments of each other. At the violent stop Minerva and her commandos removed the chair straps, springing up with the weapons at the ready. The door quickly opened and they poured into what had been the eastern hangar bay filled with surprised pirates. Upon sight of one another both sides opened fire while several Havoc commandos including Minerva used their jetpacks to gain maneuverable edge as they shoot.

"Are you ready, Padawan Porte?"

"Yes Master Noble." Aiden voiced with much confidence as he gave her a solid not and he glanced to the star destroyer and then back to her. Instilling in her that she had his full attention. If there was one time to not make a mistake it would be this one. Aiden had only seen Valery Noble Valery Noble through passing and by her reputation.

Assisting the grandmaster, he would be sure not to let her down. This being his first full scale venture with Alliance again he would, he had spent much time prepping himself for this and making sure he was up to the task.

"We're dealing with pirates, not dangerous Sith Lords. Let's try to minimize harm, so ideally we get them to surrender. If they don't, try to incapacitate them so we can take them captive."
"Any questions before we go in?"

"Understood Master, Let's hope they see to reason and lay down their arms without further escalation. I'm with you completely Master, no questions." Aiden responded with a solid smile as he noted her smirk.

It was then a humming sound could be heard and the Padawan glanced up as it got louder and there were pods making their way to the surface and through the destroyed starship.

"Shall we..." Aiden inquired as he glanced towards the Grandmaster.

"The more we follow these orbs, the more suspicious it all becomes."

Vera was staring into a huge tunnel with a hole in it — one caused by an explosion, "Mom was here recently, so the tunnel should be cleared of Rakghouls," Vera then said, referring to a recent mission where Mom stopped Rakghouls from pouring out of these tunnels and into the nearby settlements, "The only problem is, we're not staying in this tunnel." Her vision had shown Mom, standing her guard against a swarm of those beasts after a massive explosion.

But it had also shown her something else — another tunnel, connected to this one.

"I'm not sure yet what we'll find, but something important is in here." She sighed, then looked at her brother, "If we run into any of those beasts, play it safe. We don't want to get infected, and there's nothing we can do to help them." Her tone was cold, but she knew she spoke the truth.

There was no cure.

"Do you want me to lead the way with my eyes? Or do you want to take the risk and use a lightsaber?"

"Let's go," Valery said after briefly eyeing the pods that came down from up above. She could feel the familiar presence of Minerva Fhirdiad Minerva Fhirdiad on one of them and smiled to herself. It was good to see that some Mandalorians could stand up against the crusades and still fight for a good cause.

Minerva would always be among them.

"They'll be drawing a lot of attention, so we'll have an easier path inside." Already, she heard the sound of blaster fire coming from holes within the ship's hull. The pirates had heard the pods and were using the sound of jetpacks to track Minerva and her troops. But in their focus on the Mandalorian, they wouldn't be ready for the two Jedi.

"Stay close to me and we'll be able to provide a lot of cover. We don't want to kill or maim, but they will try to shoot us on lethal setting. Expect it to be chaotic."

"Friends of ours It's safe to assume." Aiden spoke as she ushered him along. Aiden kept in stride with the Grandmaster. Being back out here, in the field it felt good. It wasn't the rush of the skirmish, or glory.

To be with the Jedi again, completely. It was good to be back.

"They'll be drawing a lot of attention, so we'll have an easier path inside."

"That is a sound strategy, whether it was planned or just happened to.....well happen." Aiden showed a small smile as it would indeed be easier for them. "This distraction, will provide a better way to incapacitate these pirates. Prevent the unnecessary loss of life." The Padawan felt that things should go off without a hitch, however he reminded himself to remain vigilant and be wary at all times.

"Stay close to me and we'll be able to provide a lot of cover. We don't want to kill or maim, but they will try to shoot us on lethal setting. Expect it to be chaotic."

"Yes Master Noble, you can count on me."

Inside the wrecked hangar was complete mayhem. A mixture of blaster bolts and particle rounds were exchanged throughout its length. Flying around Minerva unleashed successive barrages with each of her dual pistols. Three pirates on a high gondola were gunned down by her as they fell to the floor below.

The fighting was fierce but for the time being the pirate resistance was disorganized by the surprise assault from above. No doubt they had expected an Alliance attack from the groundside. Minerva spotted four brigands trying to take cover behind a smashed shuttle with crates as they tried to set up a repeater gun. She wouldn't give them the chance. She dived in blasting at the would-be gunner in the face and one of his partners on his right with two bolts through the chest.

The remaining duo scattered, returning fire at the flying armored warrior. She took evasive action before descending and landing in a roll before eliminating the last two with burning holes in their midsection as they collapsed. Before she could take in the win a sniper bolt bounced off at the left side of her helmet, knocking Minerva a bit before she used her jetpack to speed for cover behind a broken crate.

Before she could locate Minerva heard another shot but this time a scream followed as a Nikto pirate fell to his death. Then on the comms the warrior heard her sniper friend, Irni said.

"Got your back Cap."

"Thanks Irni. That’s another one I owe ya."

Meanwhile multiple firefights were erupting throughout the Star Destroyer as the separate and scattered teams of commandos engaged other pirates.

Objective 3 - Pirate Hunt Salvage

Of the small number of rules Amea and Evie had made, one of the big ones was avoiding getting involved in major conflicts. These days it felt like barely a month could pass before some conflict was erupting somewhere in the galaxy. Especially when the larger factions declared war on another.

War was messy, especially so for the individuals that get caught in the middle of it. So why not avoid it completely and keep to your own little thing in the expansive galaxy?

Many would call that simple common sense.

Evelyn Shaw called it wasting opportunities. Sure, she wasn’t exactly going to be jumping in to ‘fight the good fight’, but in her eyes it would be criminal to not skirt the edges and scope out potential opportunities for profit.

That’s what brought her to Taris today. She had been keeping tabs on the more recent conflict that had struck the planet. And upon hearing that a number of the pirates' ships had crashed within the city, the smuggler practically had credits in her eyes. So many opportunities to find valuable salvage.

While Amea was away on her own business, Evelyn wasn’t alone. She was accompanied by the towering form of BT-7, a commando droid that the smuggler had ‘procured’ from his previous owner some time ago.

Again, I must point out how reckless this whole thing is.

I know BT, as you’ve said…five times already.” The white-haired smuggler let out a sigh as she turned to face him. Despite the droid not being able to ‘think’ per se, she somehow knew exactly what he was thinking. “Are you worried that Amea might actually decommission you this time, for letting me go along with this plan?

BT’s unmoving optics just stared down at her.

Yes.

Evelyn let out an amused snort, turning back around. “Don’t worry BT, if anything she’ll admonish me for taking risks. She loves me too much to do that to you, probably. Besides, she knows how I am.

They had already procured a nice bit of salvage. Metals both valuable and frequently sought after. Electronics like power cells, hell even a few data cards and discs, of which were a gamble in themselves. Sometimes they were rubbish, others were highly valuable to the right customer.

All they needed to do was avoid the pirates, Alliance forces and whatever the hell just landed in drop pods and took the fight immediately to the former. For now, their little section of the downed ship was devoid of conflict. But Evelyn knew that wouldn’t last forever.

Come on, let’s keep going. We’re on the clock now.” With that, the duo made a dash down the corridor they were in.

"We have to pick up the pace," Valery said as they entered the ships, and without giving the Padawan much time to respond, she started moving faster. Minerva and her troops were capable fighters, but with such an entrance, they were going to draw every pirate on the ship towards them. Already, Valery's senses made it clear that the Mandalorian would be surrounded soon. Whether or not she could handle it didn't matter.

Fewer lives would be lost if they worked together.

Soon enough, Valery's senses alerted her to something — a group of pirates were on the move, trying their hardest to reach the ongoing battle to support the others. But with one quick nod to Aiden, Valery told him she was going to intercept them. A Force-augmented dash brought her across the hallway, directly into the junction with theirs. The violet blade of her lightsaber ignited, and she was immediately forced to deflect incoming blaster fire.

The battle had begun.

"Padawan Porte, with me!" Valery called out while the soldiers with them began to move into their positions.

The air on Taris was thick with ash and despair. Once a bustling hub of trade and culture, the silent streets now lay littered with remnants of shattered buildings and twisted metal, a stark reminder of the recent attack that had left the neutral planet reeling. The Galactic Alliance, in its multitude of factions, had rallied to assist the stricken populace. The New Jedi Order was at the forefront, sending their members to provide aid to the beleaguered citizens. Among them was Padawan Roman Vossari.

Roman stood amidst the debris, his long red hair whipping in the wind like a banner of hope against the darkened skyline. With his tall, athletic build, he cut an imposing figure, but there was kindness in his sky blue eyes. The Order had always taught him that true strength came from compassion rather than brute force, and that lesson echoed in his mind as he surveyed the destruction.

Dressed in the simple robes of the Jedi, Roman placed a hand on a nearby stone, feeling the vibrations of the earth beneath him. He closed his eyes and reached out through the Force, searching for signs of life among the rubble, easier said than done for the Padawan. The chaotic energy of despair swirled around him, but there were faint glimmers of hope, threads that pulled at his consciousness.

"Over here!" a voice called, startling him from his concentration. A local woman stood beside a partially collapsed building, her face smeared with soot; her eyes were wide with worry and fear. "They're in there! My friends—two children and their mother. I don't know if they made it out!"

Roman nodded, determination setting his jaw. With a swift motion, he knelt beside the woman, his heart pounding. "Stay back, please," he said, his tone gentle but firm. "I'll do my best to get them out."

The woman nodded, desperation etched on her face as Roman pressed his palm against the rubble. The Force flowed through him, guiding him as he began to lift the smaller debris with a flick of his wrist. Stones and steel shifted aside as he called upon his training, clearing a path even as adrenaline coursed through him.

"I can hear well enough, so I'll be able to tell if they're close. Probably."

But not being able to see was going to be a problem. He reached up to click on his helmet at least, which did at least let him see in the dark. The power of technology, was the short and long of it. He turned his head about, frowning. At least the helmet helped to cut off the scent too. "I won't hesitate. You don't either." That was probably the biggest worry, if he was honest.

"Second we see one you get behind me, alright?"

"Stay close, yeah?"

This was far from the first time Iris had to walk through such a grey haze of colors. She didn't have an issue with it now. Se knew how to pull through them, to find the bright spots. To help bring the bright spots back to those who lost their colors to they bleeding dark. The scarred knight flashed a brief smile to the Padawan with her before she pulled her gaze forward.

Then hummed. Ahead she could see it. The colors brightening as someone pulled on the Force. Lightened. Without explaining she walked towards the source before crouching beside the rubble that was being moved. She didn't want to interrupt the other Padawan, but she did want to help. Especially the people buried beneath. She motioned to Zaiya to step over before she pulled on the colors to whisper in Zaiya's mind.

Don't be alarmed. Let the colors guide you and we'll help him.

She motioned again to the rubble before she lifted a hand. She pulled on the Force, weaving and blending her own colors to further lift the rubble. Bit by bit until the people trapped within could get out. Preferably with Zaiya's help, of course.

Ko wanted to get back into action after the battle on Eiattu 6. He was already missing out on some pretty crucial operations with the Galactic Alliance. It was moments like these that he felt like cursing his Kel Dor body for possessing a lesser constitution when compared to most others. Then again if it wasn’t for his body’s natural strengths then maybe he would’ve been dead a long time ago.

However, he might be pushing himself a little too much. Even if he wasn’t putting himself into combat against lingering pirates. As much as he didn’t want to. He put his efforts towards search and rescue. Something he did a lot of after the Dark Empire’s assault on Coruscant. Where Ko used his talents and knowledge then to help in uncovering victims and survivors from under rubble. His senses in The Force allowed him to discern who could be worth saving, and those who had already passed or were going to.

Ko wasn’t much of a medic, so he was gonna be stuck working as a psychic excavator. Standing before a cumbled residential complex with a team of rescue workers the Kel Dor knew that there were folks trapped inside. Deep enough to where sensors had a hard time showing any signal. Taking a few deep breaths to gather his energy and focus on the task at hand without distraction, Ko held up his clawed hands towards the part of the crumbling building he was facing.

Once more he exerted his body and energy through telekinetically lifting up a good deal of the rubble to create a direct path inside where members of the rescue team he was with could retrieve those stuck inside. Ko feared that they were in a critical condition and that they couldn’t spend time more safely removing the debris in their way. It was risky, maybe even reckless, but they had to act now and fast. As soon as they created a clear path inside they moved in to rescue those stuck inside as Ko strained against the weight of the rubble. His breathing became more and more labored as the seconds passed.

All the while he pushed past some of the residual pain in his side. From the large burnt cut that the Sith he fought on Eiattu 6 left him with. Which had proven to take much longer for him to heal from than he’d anticipated. If Teresa Zambrano | Darth Pellax Teresa Zambrano | Darth Pellax was still alive she would probably be happy to know that she’d given him such a troublesome wound. The memory of it caused Ko to lose a bit of focus. Causing the lifted weight of the debris to sag some. Causing him to pour more energy into keeping it up until the rescue team got out with the survivors safely.

Thankfully Ko only needed to strain himself for a few moments longer. One by one people managed to escape the collapsed building. Saving an entire family that had been trapped there since the rogue Sith’s attack. All of whom had to be dehydrated, hungry, hurt and exhausted. Once they were all clear Ko rather gently lowered the rubble back down with a long, relieved sigh. Taking a moment to catch his breath and cool off. What he’d give to be human right about now. The natural ability to cool off via sweat sounded amazing for the Kel Dor at the moment…

"We have to pick up the pace,"

"I"m with you Master Noble." Aiden said reassuring the Grandmaster as they entered the starship and as she predicted, chaose had ensued throughout the levels. Blaster fire could be seen from afar, shouts and the like were heard. The Padawan took a deep breath as kept up with Valery, as she nodded to him and his intuition serving him well as he followed her to their next objective.

The space lit up with the hue of a violet blade, and a flash and stead constant hue of blue had followed. The Padawan's instincts served him well as the twirl of the blue blade deflecting a few blaster bolts comings his way.

"Padawan Porte, with me!"

Aiden was more prepared than he thought, his intuition serving him extremely well as he moved towards Valery Noble Valery Noble just as she began to speak. From a higher level, two blaster were aimed at them. The Padawan quickly called upon the force, his non saber hand reaching out, pulling the blasters out of their hands.

The weapons falling quickly to the ground as a wave of force energy sent the pirate duo back against the wall.

He wouldn't have shown up on Taris if it wasn't for Persephone Dashiell Persephone Dashiell .The girl was born and raised on Taris and wanted to go to the planet after its bombardment to see if she could find any leads on her father. Additionally, to check on her friends in the Lower City. Apparently most of the underground had been spared - a small blessing for those who couldn't live on the surface.

It was against his better judgment to bring her along but Iko Vel Iko Vel would also be keeping an eye on her. Plus a heavy Alliance presence meant most trouble was mitigated. Sure, pickpockets or gangsters, but nothing like an invasion.

His business was with the Trade Federation. Not his favorite people, Brehg Sha Brehg Sha has been the only one he got along with after a mutual dress-down of Force Users. Hadn't seen her around in some time. Either way, standing here in the agricultural park, he would put on his best diplomatic face.

"Senator Grimmin, a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for having me."

Did she guilt trip her guardians into letting her go? Of course. Persephone was confident Makai and Myra Arceneau Dashiell Myra Arceneau Dashiell were still feeling guilty of her reaction to the news she was going to be a 'big sister'.

The reaction was quite real. However, one never let a good opportunity go to waste. Getting to go to Taris and having the flexibility to bring along Iko Vel Iko Vel was the result. Did it ease the shock of the news? Not at all but it was giving her the opportunity to try to find her no-good Daddy and also check on some 'friends' she had left behind.

Considering her status as an heiress, the teenager was mildly surprised her Daddy ain't showed up on her doorstep yet, begging for a credit. Probably for the best, she didn't want My-rah to shoot 'im before she had the chance to ask questions.

She and Iko were making their way to the Lower City, talking as they went. Despite her finishing school training, she was animated and her speech pattern had returned for the most part.

"Can you believe it Iko? Goin' off and havin' a youngin' right away? I thought I'd have two years to just be...I don't know, the center of it all. It was nice, y'know?"

The Neimoidian cast a fleeting glance at the Trade Federation Shuttle as a multitude of Modernized HKB-3 Hunter-Killer Droids descended the ramp in a parallel formation, ready to offer a semblance of security in a largely anarchic city still grappling with the repercussions of press gangs and criminal organizations intent on exploiting the relief encampment for food or illicit substances.

Naturally, some of these gangsters operated as debt collectors on the planet surface, evaluating personal property for the war effort against the Dark Empire as each item "donated" was catalogued and ready for resale on the open-market to pay for additional tanks and medicine needed.

Each member of the alliance bore the sovereign duty to enhance the collective security and prosperity of the organization, regardless of their capacity to do so at the time of their entry into the ranks. Certain worlds, from the perspective of the Trade Lobby— the second most influential faction within the Federal Assembly— were not as advanced as desired. Consequently, it was to be expected that specific assistance packages would be provided with a host of certain demands.

Taris would emerge as one such world after the completion of the fact-finding mission. With the prompt support of Makai Dashiell Makai Dashiell , they would traverse the ravaged terrain in search of remnants of Lord Kelrath's Forces, aiming to study it for the sake of a lucrative tax write-off. He extended a hand with a soft smile, making a firm handshake before returning to a neutral posture.

"The Pleasure is all mine, Mr. Dashiell. Your assistance will be most invaluable" Lodd said, contemplating whether the young entrepreneur fully understood the perilous situation they were in on a planet that had yet to be subdued by the formidable Alliance Defense Forces and the New Jedi Order. The risks included potential attacks from criminals or, more alarmingly, the possibility of being captured by the rising Neo-Crusaders, who were capable of exerting influence without the need for extensive military campaigns, as demonstrated on Contruum and Manaan.

"The available information regarding the rogue Sith Lord responsible for the destruction of Taris is limited, which makes it a priority for the Federal Assembly to ascertain whether this individual represents a potential threat in the Core War and the Independent Territories. While the Strategic Intelligence Agency is tasked with this responsibility, there are far bigger threats at the moment like the Sith Order whose legions knock down the very gates of democracy." He explained, signaling for him to accompany him towards the primary relief settlement established near the former capital building.
