She Looked At Me With Them Big Brown Eyes (Underground Rebellion vs Black Rose)

"I had a loft." She reminds him, albeit what she called a loft others might've called the attic space of a warehouse, still. It served it's use and she paid the owner his rent when she was there. "Besides, junction tunnels and storage holds make noise." Noise, noise had been something she often fell asleep to and now, now everything was too quiet. Negotiations, those were things people did when they didn't want to fight. Right? Right.

Then she answered, "let's just say I was somewhere between a storage hold and a junction tunnel." When you're a slicer, you get use to hiding in cramped spaces. "So, nothing yet?" She asks, sitting down beside BB at the comm station. Chewing on the inside of her lip the young woman looked Bryce over and inquired. "Know anyone who might be able to help me put EM4 back together? Was hoping to try and get him together now that I didn't have to worry about- y'know." She flicks her wrist around to show the mark.

EM4 had been an imperial viper droid, and Ria now had enough parts to put him together. Although it looked like he'd have to be a prowler. Which as far as she was concerned was much more aesthetically pleasing than his last shell.

"...Indeed, I am."

Karen spoke in a soft whisper. Smiling playfully as her eyes washed over the cockpit. Enjoying every moment with the old girl that she could. Even as a passenger. It was still magnificent to just stand inside history. To just, be there.

"Oh yes. Mm. I've spent much time learning to love star vessels in my career. How they sound. How they roar. From the loudest explosion to the tiniest purr. All in all, I love to count them. From the smallest starfighter to the largest dreadnaught. Keeping tabs on them with my long little fingers. Keeping them in my head like a collection. Like my own little trophy wall. Hehe. ...It's a hobby, right?"

She tapped her nose with one finger and winked at Kira,

"You could say I'm something of a navy girl. Mmhmm. A lost little spacer at heart."

Karen leaned over and looked at the scan bar. Watching for activity from the planet and noting the static in the air. Ah! But then she thought better of herself. Perhaps Kira only meant to make introductions. Oh dear,

"Ah. But forgive my lay manners. I am Karen Roberts. Of Denon. ...An associate of The Jedi Academy, refugee of the Silver Jedi, exile of the Galactic Republic, and once upon a time and long long ago; Hehe, ...a pilot for the Underground resistance. Hehe. Silly me."

She gave a bow to all present,

"Mmm. Just another lost little navy girl. At your service."

Objective: Wake Up

Something within him still lived. Still beat with all the heat and fury a son of Corellia was famed for. Rocket fuel for blood, or so the saying went. As he floated in bacta, recovering, something began to stir. Those nearby the ship might have detected ripples in the Force. Curious tuggings and eddys. Those particularly connected to Julius, well bonded to him and his presence, might have detected it even further away. Regardless, as his mind drifted, so too did his spirit seem to flit on the eddys of time, back and forth, in a chaotic scramble of relativity. Unconscious as he was, there was little rhyme or reason to his walking, and eventually there would come a spike, a distinct and rather chaotic 'spike' in the vicinity of the ship. Force Sensitive types would immediately feel it, if not know what it was.

Julius had awoken.

Gasping, he began to buck and fight the instrumentation and tubing attached to him, not realizing the heavy soup he was in as bacta. Eyelids flickered and twitched from activity underneath, and eventually there was a stillness in his confinement. Not a limb stirred. Not a muscle twitched. The vital monitors would report a drop in stats more than enough to cause alarms to begin to flash and ping. Rather suddenly, his arm drew back and a singular pointer finger on the left hand extended and thrust forward. It connected with a sudden and dull thud to the thick, slug proof transparisteel of the bacta tank. With a crinkling, a crack started, spidered, and then with a massive depressurization the entire shield collapsed into positively tiny fragments, as if dissolving into dust and washing away.

With the rush of fluid onto the floor, so too came the body of the former Jedi. Tugging and pulling, eventually his dead weight disconnected the wires and restraints, and he landed on the floor face first, motionless. This was just before Jorus' address regarding the Black Rose, and Julius began to awake right as the data on the population being forcibly alchemized was relayed. Eyes clenched shut snapped open, full of a blue-grey fury that would quail many lesser men on sight. Arms that before shook straightened with ease. With a precision that spoke of familiarity and confidence, he reached over and began to grab his things from the nearby table.

Finally, with a shaking, he slipped into the bodysuit of his armor and began lacing up plating. The process to most was almost rote, freakishly fast. But Julius paid care and attention to each fitting and shaping. Some of it fit less ideally than others, but weightloss was hard to counter in the field. If he had been on his ship, he could have... What could he have done? The thought of his ship pained him, and brought on a wave of nausea. Suddenly, he doubled over, contents of his stomach splattering to the decking as he held onto the table, ears ringing from medical alarms still blaring. A glare of irritation and confusion met them, and the pistol on the table rose with his hand and several magnetically accelerated slugs later, he was left in blissful silence as he tried to steady himself and gain some sense of where he was, what he was doing, and just who he was in the first place.

She felt almost powerless in this. All she wants to do is make sure the civilians make it out alive. Fighter squadrons above was having trouble going up against the defenses on top and the shield seemed to be holding.
Jorus Merrill said:
"Now, I've just been treated to a slippery comm diatribe from someone who sounds like they're trying to downplay the nastiness that went on here, so let me speak right now to any leftover Black Rose sympathizers. Your mouthpiece claimed that less than one percent of the population was deliberately exposed to this Sithspawn virus. If Demonsgate's population is in the five or six figures, that's still hundreds or even thousands of people alchemized against their will and deported. So here's what's going to happen. My ship is in position over the former Black Rose mining facility. It's shielded; so are the evacuation transports on the ground. Unless I hear a surrender, or if a ship starts powering up for launch, I'll disable this facility and these ships with nonlethal weapons that completely bypass shields. Any ships that manage to lift off before they're disabled will be disabled twice, and caught with tractor beams to avoid anything unfortunate happening. Then blood tests will be administered, because it'll be a cold day in Hell before a Sith gives up a bolthole this remote and this profitable, and I don't like the idea of war criminals using evacuation ships as human shields. In fact I don't like it very much at all."

Sanya would sigh and grit her theeth."Right let me make my slef clear. I am not using these people to mask my escape or using them as a shield. What I am trying to do is make sure they get out of this alive. You have already proven that this is attrition against helpless civilians. How am I sure you are not masking your own selfish ambitions to slaughter millions for the recorces here? I'm not black rose anymore that was a long time ago when I was the one trying to turn over a new leaf and many did. But I'll say again that was a long time ago. I'm here as a Jedi once more to protect the innocent. If you find any if the remaining black rose members then feel free to arrest them and stand trial. The organization disbanded a long time ago. I can assure you that any members that was here will be ghosts. So I can't help you on that front. There is only one name I can give you. The welp recently well captured me when my guard was down. so I will make you a deal let the transports and escorts through and I'll give you the name. I will not be with those who leave and so you know my ship is a Dynamic class freighter II. The owner of this complex however has entrusted me to make sure his daughter gets out alive. I will have him confirm that. Now if you have one transport spare the remaining people here can also make it out. But there safety is my top priority. I'm sorry I can't offer more than a name but it's all I have."

She couldn't help but feel it was a rant but she was true to her word on this. She knew that in the early days the order of the black rose did things she detested. Hence when she got elected to leader of them she tried to make them turn a new leaf. Although that didn't go well and a splinter group under it's old name kept trying to tarnish the good deeds they did to make up the mistakes. The air was getting to difficult to breath outside and she felt like she was on fire. With one more look around she made her way back inside to see if the owner had sorted everything out.

Jorus flipped the broadcast switch.

"Let's compare records here. I'm the one using nonlethal weapons and taking steps to ensure that civilians aren't harmed while we hunt for war criminals. You're the one who's admitted she was part of the war crimes that took place here, and you're trying to paint yourself as a savior. And that's nice and all, but in case I haven't said it enough, we are not here to harm the civilian evacuation. A needless evacuation, spurred by your histrionics and rhetoric. No, let me say it again: we're here to prevent war criminals from using the civilian population as cover.

"So let's have no more of this nonsense about 'please spare the civilians.' We're the karking Underground; we don't kill civilians. I'm a Jedi Master, and unlike some, I'm not a war criminal. You, however, are going to prison for a very long time. And now, as promised, since you haven't surrendered, I'm about to keep my promise. I am about to disable the grounded starships for safe inspection. After they've been swept for Black Rose operatives, they'll be allowed to leave in peace, or remain as they see fit. But frankly, I don't have a reason to believe a word you've said, and I have an awful lot of reasons to disbelieve it."

The D'Lessio's massive ion cannons fired. A special variant of Qektoth technology, they ignored shields utterly. He'd been targeting the grounded evacuation ships and the facility. As planned, any ships that tried to lift off would be disabled and caught in tractor beams to keep them safe. Because no matter how much the ex-Sith tried to spin it, the Underground wasn't actually here to kill or harm civilians.

Karen frowned at the broadcasts thus far. Jorus it seems, was ready to begin the long hunt for BR personnel. Ship by ship if he had to. Bleh. It was obvious he blamed them for whatever happened here in the past and would gladly see justice done. No matter how long that took. Though, Karen wasn't quite sure about the other voice however. Mm. She wasn't ready to cast her own judgement just yet. After all. There was some sincerity that bled into the Force from that masked tongue. Maybe they was a Jedi sympathizer after all? Mmm. But... If they tried to run now and make an escape? Well. Not even a voice modulator could save you from this blockade.

Hmm,

"You know Kira? If we could locate this Dynamic Class freighter down there before D'Lessio does? I think you and I might be able to assist this phantom person and her civilians. Up close and personal. If you know what I mean."

Karen touched her chin and nodded,

"If the Underground want's these BR members so badly? I say we capture that ship and do the sorting for him."

She pointed down to the Phrik Mining Complex.

"So. What do you say Captain? Fancy the Falcon to do a little ambassador work on the ground while the Fleet does the heavy lifting? Hehe."

"I'm not going to surrender for crimes I did not commit. Once more I'm with the Jedi order. Not the black rose. These people are terrified you shoot they will most likely see it as an act of aggretion. Now if your a Jedi like you say you are then the better course of action here would be negotiations. Not hostile negotiations."

Moving further into the complex she stood outside of the room the owner was in before. She didn't want them to overhear and sorry even more. Not till pieces where set in Stone.

"Besides it wasn't me who issued the evacuation. If it was me I would have brought the necessary transports and be Gone by now. everyone here at this complex who where not originally here can vouch for me that I had saved their lives from certain doom. Now last I checked that isn't something a war criminal would do.." the com's would go static as one of the first ion shots hit the shield. Although internals systems managed to hold. She rushed into the room and her com was still active.

The man stood by the terminal pressing the button for the loud speaker. "ALL TRANSPORTS LAUNCH NOW. I REPEAT ALL TRANSPORTS LAUNCH." There was no doubt it could be heard over the com. Although now she had no choice. "Please I beg you let these people go. No Jedi would torment and frighten people to this extent." Her face was the look or worry. These people didn't deserve to be dragged into something they aren't involved with. she would keep the com open but mute her end. "Your daughter where is she?" Sanya asked the man. "She's waiting at your ship. We have all agreed that once you leave we are overriding the system and blow the complex up."

"Please don't. There is no need to throw your lives away. Ill do everything I can to make sure everyone gets out. Then I'll come back for the rest.."

"No we can't take that chance." He'd say cutting her off. "We would all rather go out on our own terms. Sealum do it." He'd say to the person at a different terminal. "You have ten minutes then this place goes up. Now go get my daughter out of here."

Once more she'd grit her teeth and then hug the man. "May you continue to live in through the force. All of you." In a rush she'd becon Maria to come with her as she rushed to the landing pad. The lights would switch off and red lights along the floor would activate. Unmuting her com Sanya had to now try work magic. "I couldn't stop him the transports can't stay here. The place is going to go up."

Shed keep running more and more her breaths would be heavy. "I will patch you into the transport but that's the best I can do right now." As she reached the landing pad the girl would be stood by the ramp. "Go in now." Sanya would say running up to the ramp herself.

Jorus exhaled, leaned back in the command chair of the D'Lessio, and shrugged. "All right," he said, still on broadcast, and shrugged. "You have a point. My comms officer informs me that the chatter on personal comms and ship-to-ship links is consistent with a genuine civilian evacuation. I'm satisfied that we've identified the war criminal hiding behind human shields, and the matter will be pursued in other venues. You will please take your followers and leave the Demonsgate system immediately."

As they say, Poodo just got real...

While medical alarms were ringing on the bridge as the first shots of the campaign were fired. BB can't say he agreed with Jorus decision to let the war criminals go but right now he has little time to argue the point. He was running down the hall to the med bay to see what the Kark was happening down there.

Turing the corner he saw his primary med bay was trashed. Bacta fluid was all over the ground and machines and droids alike had been thrown around by what ever happened. Standing in the middle of it was the man he had rescued. His armor fitted to him just like he was found and a pistol in his had.

BB skidded to a stop his arms held out in a sign of calm.

"Wow there buddy, easy now, no need for violence. We can talk this over, your ok right. We are all going to calm down and talk this over...." BB had no idea if his words were getting through but at this point he had little choice. He only hoped this man was rational enough to understand him and not lash out or do something rash.

A small army was on the roof, at least 70 hostiles in total. The gunships were laying down suppressing fire, blowing huge-ass craters in the roof of the structure. Ria watched as BB leaped away at the sounds of medical alarms. She turned to the comms stations and kept focus on the chatter. Tilting her head as she listened to the broadcast. Black Rose. The name was used over and over, and honestly. Ria wanted it to be done with, even in her isolated world the name held weight. Right now the objective was to prevent any Black Rose from leaving the planet, and now would be the time to study up. The Order of the Black Rose, was the official name if she recalled.

Adjusting her hat, she took out another piece of tonitran jerky from one of her bandoleer pouches and slipped it into her mouth. She switched on the ship's own PA system. "Everything alright?" She addressed her concerns to BB over the unit. "Alarms are still going off, how do I get them to stop?"

The campaign on the ground got underway, and Ria redirected her attention to take a look at what the frag was going on. Taking in a breath, she sighed hoping that there would be something left of the planet when they were done with it.

Cas's breathing under her helmet rapidly The bay doors were opening. Time began to slow, she could scarcely hear anything else. Wait. They hadn't landed yet... why was... oh Force, were they going to jump into a fight? They were! Oh Force force force force...

Axel turned to Ghorua, the biggest guy on board. He shouted to him, as one could barely hear over the chaos going on outside. "Grab the chaingun, we're gonna need it! EVERYONE, GO GO GO!" He'd whip out his assault rifle, firing explosive Sith killer rounds into the fray. Screams were to be heard everywhere.

Cas fired her jetpacks and rapidly slowed her descent onto the roof. The roofdeck was finally coming into view, as well as their opposition. What was that terrible wail? Banshee? Cas shuddered at the sound. She maneuvered herself behind a large air-ventilation condenser, giving herself cover. Banshee was blowing most of them to bits, but the smart ones took cover and prepared as much as they could for the mercenary's attack.

Roof

She wasn't dealing with low-life security forces or rival gangers anymore. The second she hit the roofdeck a couple of guards with long rifles came around the air-handling unit and were on her- She half-emptied her carbine's clip into them, the sound of rapid carbine-fire screeching through the air, the bolts of plasma saturating the guards' armor, the heat and force of the shots rendering them down into smoking, charred pieces of meat.

And Cas hadn't even caught her breath yet.

Eliza Steele had been on Uukaablis for about twenty-four hours now. The petite smuggler had come in with a standard cargo hold full of foodstuffs that local customs let her through on. But what the agents didn't find was the nice weapons cache in the Corellian Dawn's hidden compartments for the resistance cell the Underground had set up on this little chunk of planet, which the Black Rose held located on a strategic route along the Kathol Outback … well not for much longer that is if things went according to plan.

The Rebellion was supposed to start… The brunette looked down with her half-glazed dark eyes at the chrono worn on her left wrist as she sat on a bar stool in the Downwind Cantina -NOW!

A lopsided grin grew wide on Steele's face as she heard the opening volley, then the fiery Corellian downed the shot of whiskey in front of her on the counter and signaled the bartender for another.

Ghorua the Shark liked big guns. In fact, he had his own blaster that worked a lot like the chaingun being offered to him. He never turned down a free gift. "My pleasure, Mr. Banshee." The Herglic reached down to the weapon, currently set up on the ground, and pulled it up. It felt heavy, but strangely natural. Ghorua revved it, the tines spinning with a healthy roar. "Ooh, I like this."

Ghorua chuckled as he looked down. The entire city sprawled before them. Ghorua chuckled again as [member="Nekromonga"] and [member="The Banshee"] leapt from the gunship, eager to start the fight. As much as Ghorua wanted to spiral down now, to start the mayhem, he instead waited. He didn't have a fancy jetpack, as none could support his wait. Instead, he wore a heavy-duty parachute, so he didn't flatten himself trying to jump. He waited with [member="Janev Noska"], who also used an alternate method of travel. With a grunt, Ghorua saluted to no one in particular, and dropped like a stone.

The Hunter went spiraling down, a smudge of black in the sky, his new toy in his meaty fists. Deciding he was close enough, the Herglic pulled a cord at his shoulder, and his black parachute furled out behind him, righting and slowing his descent. Without a moments hesitation at the army of men below him, he grinned, and revved the chaingun. The bullets sprayed out in a cacophany of explosive sound. The best part about floating up in the air over your enemy was that it was tough for them to find cover, especially on an exposed roof such as this. They began to fall to his onslaught, tore up by the floating whale above them.

Ghorua began to feel the fire coming up towards him, but barely anything made it past his tough armor. He continued his lazy path down to the ground, spitting fire to haters everywhere.

Axel's jumpack guided him to the ground without killing him on impact, which was always a good thing. The element of surprise was still in their favor, though it was slowly beginning to get negated by the reinforcements. The karking reinforcements, what was he going to do about them?
He was currently crouched behind some kind of an air filter box, which was dutifully blocking shots for him as he reloaded a normal clip into his weapon. One enemy surprised him from behind as he was doing so, durasteel dagger arcing down towards his back. However, his superior armor would block the attempt as it shattered the knife. The man tried to draw his gun, knowing he was royally karked at this point. Before he could get it out of the holster, the man lay dead with three bullets in the chest.
The Banshee assessed the situation at hand. It seemed his allies were landing okay. A few had been shot down on exit of the dropships, but the rest had managed to find cover by now. He witnessed as the one he remembered as Janev went Batman-style and swung into battle with a grappling hook. Classy. The girl he had assessed, Kaiga, he believed, had just flew out of the ship with her jetpack like a true Mandalorian warrior. The big Herglic did as Axel had asked, grabbing the monster of a chaingun and started mowing hostiles down. Axel estimated he had already killed about 10 men in half as many seconds. He couldn't help but grin. He liked that one.
He popped his helmet out from behind cover, identifying the source of the reinforcements. It was a small door some thirty feet away, feeding the enemy more troops every minute. It had to be dealt with. He'd unleashed a small storm of bullets into the enemy force with uncanny accuracy before yelling "FRAG OUT!" He would then toss a grenade into the stairwell, hitting one very confused security officer right in the top of the head.
Boom!

Draco had lots of notice about Faith's arrival, the hyperspace early warning systems installed and remote activated Pulse Mass mines sitting along the primary routes through the system, with a small number of scouts patrolling the system, normally Rekali-class Space Superiority Fighters running in pairs. Ships that passed through were checked and registrations run. Those that acted suspicious were sometimes boarded and inspected.

But not Faith's ship. Hers was escorted straight to the Skira-class Battleship leading the Strike Force securing Pembric II. Draco stood on the hangar deck when she arrived, smiling as best he could, happy to see his beloved. He knew she was upset, that she didn't approve of his tactics or his choices in securing Alderaan as of late. He was going to have to make changes if he was going to be her Prince Consort. He knew that, deep down. Its why he hadn't fought and destroyed Republic vessels at Togoria, but part of him was afraid of what the Sith would do.

"Cyar'ika," He said with a smile, his voice ringing out across the hangar as she walked down the ramp. To him, there was only one course of action. Discover what she needed him to do, and then make it up to her, hopefully ending with making out with her in the near future. He walked to meet her on the ramp, offering a kiss as her greeting, trying to show her that he would love her for eternity.

"Where do you want to talk? We can talk on your ship's lounge?" His voice was soft and gentle. He knew he had done wrong. He had put his desires, suspicions, and brash judgement ahead of the morals and ideals of her family, compromising her to make a difficult decision.
