Silver Blades [SJO]

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Matsu was looking down at them and hovering when she heard the sounds of the projectors. Joshua was bringign out blasters? She was curious wtching it and her saber was there in her hand. Silver, elongated hilt with her hand on it. THen she saw one of them strike her hand with a small and curious look. Her danger sense, the jedi techniques to tell her danger was coming from the blasters wasn't going off.... and she didn't feel pain or much. A little nudge to her hand as the hologram dissipated striking her. "Well that is a little disappointing." She was hoping for at least a stun blast or something that would tell them to be more careful."

Kurenai just idled by, watching as [member="Josh DragonsFlame"] came back and once more took a defensive stance with his saber in hand, "As you wish, just do not feak out by my saber colour please". Last thing she needed was half the room attacking her use to a difference in lighting, though considering that Sukai was welcomed here that should not have been a problem, unless the other Jedi here had not seen her Sith blade used yet. Waving her hand the silver hilt left her belt, hitting her palm, Kurenai activating the blood orange blade, holding it in a tight grip keeping focus on her new opponent, until a sudden flicker came through the force, alerting to a new threat.

Before the holographic blaster bolts could be fired Kurenai spun her blade around, the translucent lasers bouncing against against the crimson like blade as she brought it around for a powerful horizontal slash onto Josh. Ture she could have just dogged the incoming attacks, or just simply ignored them but this motion allowed her to put more momentum behind the attack. She was interested to see how the Jedi master took the blow, but she would not be surprised if the man simply parried it away and made some sort of counter attack towards her body, that was what am smart user of Djem So would do, unless the blonde man had something else in mind.

Charlie nodded and looked up. She could sense Jyoti as she entered the room, a bright smile spread as she had just finished winning the duel and it was in time for her Master to see it. There was a sense of accomplishment that washed over the young woman, it was a good feeling to see results of her training. Sukai spoke, breaking Charlie out of her mental celebration.

“I guess so, I’m sorry I broke the form and used Trakata. It was a moment to strike the opponent so I took it. I’m open to continue.” Charlie nodded and reignited her blade, but it seemed the teacher had other plans. Charlie did her best to forget that Jyoti was there. She had to focus on the training for it to sink into her mind. There was now another obstacle to tackle along with sparing with your partner. This was going to force Charlie to maintain the defensiveness of the form.

Looking at the drones that were set up to blast them, Charlie glanced towards Sukai. She wondered if the girl was going to take an opportunity to attack. Either way, Charlie remained on her toes with her blade activated and in front of her. She deflected the first few bolts away, focusing the fire on the drone itself. She would wait to see what Sukai would do.

He blinked when she would say not to be alarmed about her lightsaber color. And yet, the orange-red blade still alarmed him. She was a dark Jedi then? It was allowed, he knew, even if frowned on. She definitely wasn't a Sith Lord, or she wouldn't be here.

But as the bolts would continue to be fired and Kurenai would charge him, he only smiled. And oh man, if Josh smiled in combat, you knew he was either enjoying himself, or he had something in mind. He would shift his blade then, and begin deflecting the bolts toward Kurenai. Sure, she could probably just ignore them, but he knew full well that every Force User in this room would likely be deflecting or blocking the bolts out of pure instinct, even if they were harmless. After all that training that any Force User did, blocking these things were instinct by now. Besides... It'd be cheating just to ignore them. As he would continue to deflect the bolts toward her to force her to divert her attention taking even more bolts than he was, it gave him time to see the attack coming and block. Normally he'd have dodged and gone for aerial with Ataru, but they were practicing Form V so he would stick with it. He would block and allow a clash for a moment. The Jedi Master locked eyes with her a moment... And fired a playful wink. A joke? Or taking her off guard? Who knows? Either way, he would follow it by batting the weapon away with a bit of power and going for her lower abdomen with a horizontal slash.

"You're open!"

Losing is tempoary, giving up is permanent.
Sukai gave a quick look in the direction [member="Charlie"]'s eyes moved, seeing several masters along with her mother talking about something, though what ever it was Sukai would not eavesdrop, not with a current opponents to face either. It seemed they where disusing sparing partners or something, but for the most part it was not something needing direct attention, her own quickly directed towards the smol girl.

"No it's fine, if our rolls where reversed I may have done something similar", Sukai replied, taking on passive aggressive stance towards Charlie. "Once you've been on the battle field enough certain moves and attacks become second nature, it can almost be just as much a challenge to avoid using other saber forms when sparing since I put emphasis on being versatile in a fight".

Before she could contemplate making a new assault on the Padawan a sense of danger flew from her side, Sukai rolling to the right as a holographic blaster bolt flinging past her head. 'I should have seen this coming, but I can use this to my advantage'. Keeping point of where the turrets where Sukai once again charged Charlie, but would slightly Zip Zag around, letting the holographic blaster bolts fly past her towards the other Jedi, bringing her blade around in a wide powerful arch.

There was a surge of energy, a sense of warning and foreboding carried through the force as Asaraa danced off to the side, as to attack shot past her side as she circled [member="Kyoko Ike"], not taking her eyes off her opponent. "Not much of a punishment, but I do enjoy parties with everyone, so this would be an excuse for that." Her blue eyes twinkled as she swung her blade to clash against Kyoko's, "Well I thought the whole idea was to win, by whatever means it takes. I mean if that means you end up on your butt, so be it." The pink-haired girl's lightsaber danced out behind her, redirecting one of the blaster bolts at Kyoko, "I think I'll survive not being able to see it if I win."

She could see it, could feel it as Matsu pointed out and then Asaraa was moving. her blade in her hands as she rotated them to deflect the holograms and looked at the things. "These aren't even...." She said it but was looking at Asaraa while she moved and twirled on her foot witht he blades to make a saber shield she was able to use with the force guiding her. She wasn't getting a sense of danger from the holograms, they weren't harmful. The precognitive effect to protect from danger were not at risk until the jedi grinned to herself. She pushed the force throughout her body though moving towards Asaraa with her blades spinning in her hands and thanks to the ghostblades it was quiet and invisible but you could see them rotating in her hands. "Well cooking is fun and this is getting interesting."

As she kept her attack up on Josh it seemed he wanted to put the from to use the secondary part of form 6, incorporating Shein into the small duel between the two, with each step she took a another blaster bolt flying towards her face. Two could play at that game, but by now she swing was already reaching it's apex, herself having to duck her head to avoid getting a holo beam to the face, not that it would do anything, here or in real life. As the blade came in for contact she knew the strike would not be as powerful, having to doge the incoming blaster bold greatly deteriorating her momentum, but still it would not be simple for Josh to bat away, in terms on physical strength the two were probably very even.

The following wink, just getting a small head cock from Kurenai, was he trying to flirt with here? right here and now of all places? hopefully Sukai would not take that the wrong way. As Josh then attempted to bat the saber away, Kurenai's muscles tensing as she resisted, slowly giving up deliberately, before flicking a small switch on her saber once the pommel was facing towards Josh, "... Omae wa mo aita". Out from the end shot an extension pole of some sort, it's length crackling with electricity, a little modification she had made to allow for, surprise attacks and future spear fighting if need be.

As the young woman moved towards her Asaraa backed away slowly, the silver blade of her lightsaber dancing between the two of them as it weaved a wall of light in the space between their bodies. Her blue eyes flicked back and forth between the handles grasped in [member="Kyoko Ike"]'s hands. "Really? Well if it's fun for you I guess, I'm definitely not in that camp." The lightsaber in her hands flicked out at Kyoko's face in a swift probe of the woman's defences. Dancing to the side she saw a holographic bolt hit the ground she'd been standing on before, "cooking is so far from what I'd do for fun. now lightsaber training," blades clashed together again, "that's something I'd find fun."

She had a look on her face moving her blades to defend her face. The beauty of ghost blades was this, they didn't know where they were when she twirled them to test Asaraa's defenses. "You make it sound like it only has to be one or the other. Lightsabers are good sweetie but cooking can be just as important. As jedi we may find ourselves without the benefit of a ration pack... a survival cracker and having to hunt our own food. Plants, animals it matter little." She used the conversation more as a probe while watching and flicked her tail. The fox like appendage comign away from her waist to swipe when her blades came around to snap at Asaraa's feet.

Certainly it was mind games, Josh knew how to threw someone off, and this was part of it. He kept focused though, at all times. For all the mind games, for all the playing around, he was dead serious. A warrior, an Echani, the art of combat was important, and when it came fight time, Josh was always doing his best to remain at the top of his game. Calmly deflecting each blast being fired at him, and while it wasn't easy to bat her saber away, he would simply strike again with even more power. His power was difficult to match by many humanoids, though it wasn't unbeatable.

His plan though, had worked when her own strikes came with less power due to his tactics regarding the bolts. Every chance he got to deflect, he would deflect toward her, or move to have the blasters try to hit her in the back instead of him, forcing her to watch her back in order to continue this without getting pelted by holo bolts.

She almost got him though, with the tactic of extending her saber. But Josh had a trick of his own. His own saber would increase in length just a little, enough to block her own. His lightsaber could be adjusted to accomodate for his own height and size, and it helped in this case. A small grin crossed his lips at that, before he would immediately go for what he saw as an opening as he would break the clash and slash at her hips horizontally.
