Connor kept his defense, and the strength from the Sith was more unnatural than anything - then again, this was a planet infused with the Dark Side. He was like a sponge; absorbing it's power. However when the break came, there was a dangerous tremor in the Force that almost felt like a magnetic field, drawing to the epicenter which was the Sith Connor was feet from, surrounded by grunts who...started to move away.

The Sith had stopped, and reeking of the Dark Side; spiking with the Dark Side and Connor felt the violent tremors coming from him. Standing back, saber humming by his side, he felt a sudden cloud come over him, one that was boxing him in with little way out. Run? Jump? Duck?

With a mighty roar, the Sith shook violently and gloated in some perverse show of power. Behind him, to the side, was Karen, reaching out with all her strength. Connor saw one way out that would either kill them both, or send them reeling into who knows what.

Instanty, he pushed down with his feet to run. He deactivated the saber and balled the hilt in his fist. He let out a roar of rage, summoning the Force from Karen and the aura that surrounded them both in a clash of Light and Dark. It all happened in a split second. With two fists balled tight, he arched them back and threw them forward with as much amplification of Force Energy and brute force he could square into the plated chest of the Sith warrior.

It would be an almighty sight to anyone watching when an immovable force hit an unstoppable object. Light and Dark clashing into one in a duel, only 10 times more powerful.

She was slammed against the pillar she got and smiled, she heard his partner message "I'm out, and I found hundreds of credits, 400,000 in total, only 25,000 I could carry out, that means that we could split it. Each person gets a quarter." As they where nothing more than bunch of tomb robbers, she liked that. As let's face it he was violent, liked the steal stuff, all things she
liked. May be the force had guide her here, to him well the force does work in mysterious ways. She was going to do a new attack, one he would not expect. She ran forward, at speed. She planned to knock him off his feet with brute force. She got her lightsabers in such away, that she block any attack he would make.

Feet planets firmly into the ground, Krux raised his lightsaber as the blonde stood back up after being flung into a pillar of sandstone. She was certainly tough to get up from such a painful impact. She hardly even seemed phased, as she started darting toward him for another round with both of her blood-colored weapons brandished. Krux dug in and held his single, dark-blue lightsaber tightly in one hand, raised vertically with the intention to perform some Makashi/Form II against his foe, a Form he had practiced often, but never used much in actual battle, since his last lightsaber had been a style that made it difficult to use the specific duelists' form.

Her attack came at him in a flash of red, having to take a few steps back and keep a few feet between them to successfully parry her swift strikes. He held his lightsaber firmly and pointed away from his body, parrying blow by blow with focused blocks, and looking for chances to jab and thrust through her strikes. Her style reminded him of Form VII, which Krux knew very well, as it was his preferred lightsaber form, after all. For the time being, however, he remained defensive. Perhaps she'd tire herself out, but he really was just buying time.

Wait a minute, cloud's finished. I think it's time to start thinking about ending this...

Every nightmare, every hint of fear, rage, malice and death was within Dredge. It was buried deep within whatever the plural word Nexus was. It swarmed within and Dredge could feel the very fibers of his being start to be torn apart on a cellular level, the corruption of the darkside seeping into his very bones and body. And he liked it. He liked the feeling of death approaching, the pain, the sheer amount of hatred within his tortured soul.

"DIE JEDI!" He yelled out as he raised his arms spreading them open.

Here was the thing about Dredge, while he had power that leveled that of Sith Lord's due to his equipment he wasn't trained how to focus it in and utilize it, he could draw power for days perhaps even more than Master Connor, but he couldn't focus it like that man could. He wasn't able to until he grew stronger, so as darkness surged from beneath the single red eye looked at what Connor was doing at it was too late.

The man pushed forth a massive battering ram of force energy multiplied by Master Roberts and Dredge having too much energy within him to react in time felt like he an SUV had just hit him, and that was even before the main blast had come for him. Like a bus. No, a train slammed into him a Dredge flew backwards going from zero to sixty in a blink of an eye roaring loudly as he flew.

"I WILL FIND YOU CONNOR HARRISON!! I WILL KILL EVERYTHING YOU LOVE!!" Those were the last words Dredge said to Connor as he flew backwards into one of the ancient crypts of some famous dark lord (SSC can pick) and into the dark.

That's when it happened, the sound from everything simply sucked right out of the air like an atomic bomb was being dropped. That small calm passed and then everything went white. Exploding out from the tomb a massive dark side explosion of pure red smoke and fire. The tomb collapsed on itself and soon a small portion of the valley where the crypt was carved into began to break apart and spew chunks outwards until dust blew forward covering over a kilometers worth of land in a thick cloud of dust.

But as time would pass, they never found a body...

Karen walked through the dust and debris with a snort. Kicking some of the unearthed stones. Massive crater indeed. She rather enjoyed the change. Korriban the graveyard. How completely boring.

Her silver mask examined the destruction with a nod. It was enough. Though, she doubted the beast was truly gone. No matter. The SSC wasn't going to build on-world. So it would be a... Oh wait. Yes. Yes they were building on-world, weren't they. *le sigh* ...Welp. Good luck with that. What's a few more Vong Warlords and Graug incursions amongst friends anyway, right? The Padawans will love them.

She kicked over another stone and shrugged. Her anxiety could wait.

"He's gone." She turned about to Connor, "Excellent fight Master Harrison. I see the rumors of your bouts in the Netherworld were not exaggerated. Alas. It does appear your Padawan could use you. ...Mm, shall I accompany you? Or would like to see to his fashion yourself?"

Cloudburner had taken his leave and Karen was free to assume new responsibilities. She approached the other Jedi Master and waited on his leisure.

Seeing Siobhan beset by the ghosts of Empires past, Tempest moved in to assist, unleashing a blast of lightning at the spirit. Combined with Siobhan’s more formidable onslaught, they were banished and the Academy came crashing down.

Running forward she half helped, half dragged Siobhan out as the explosions and cascading reactions from the Force blows started to bring the Academy down.

When they were safely out, Tempest joined with Siobhan, calling on the Force to shift pillars and cave in the roof so that at the last it fell with a crash. Dust rose from the broken academy, broken just as the Sith and Primeval had been in turn.

"Ah, there they are," the Bith said with relief as he saw Siobhan being dragged out. "Come, Padawan, let's see about rendering aid."

The Academy was mostly now laying in pieces much to his annoyance. He and Gwrtheryn had been attempting to locate valuable information before this whole mess. On one hand, he was simply happy that it hadn't been worse. On the other, with more caution, it could've possibly been avoided.

He and his companion had made virtually no noise compared to the strike team's clamour. That had undoubtedly drawn out the k'lor'slugs and the Sith entities afterwards. The whole situation irritated him to no end but he put that aside for now. There were bigger priorities.

"Master Kerrigan, may I render aid?," he asked as he approached "I've some skill in healing."

She watched him much like a cornered, injured animal. No surprise there given the injuries, the only real surprise was that she hadn't attacked already. Cornered animals tended to do that if pushed, which was one reason he wasn't moving closer.

"It is an odd position to be in, to feel threads of fear, the unknown and to fight off that ingrained reaction. I simply laugh."

She wasn't laughing now. Rather, she leaned back and put her hand against a leg. Her right arm only, he noted, and slowly. Her left arm barely moved. Possibly disabled on one side, though that could be a lure if the situation came down to a fight. It would be something he couldn't turn down, even if it was an obvious ploy. If it was a ploy...the injuries certainly seemed real.

"Or to feel pain that goes from head to foot, and know that if a weakness is seen, it costs you your life. Are you asking me if I need treatment to find a weakness to kill me?"

So that's what she was thinking, that he was seeking a weakness in order to kill her. Well, partially right. He was observing her apparent weaknesses, cataloging them and putting strategies into place that would allow him to stop her - end her if necessary. But only if it came down to a fight. If she surrendered, harm would not come to her. It wasn't the Jedi way, simple as that. If left out here, to her own devices, she would likely die within days, even discounting any trigger-happy Rangers or freelancers that may stumble upon her. Much sooner, if one of the native wildlife found her. He didn't even have to be the one to kill her should he want her dead. He'd even be able to watch if he wanted.

"If you'll excuse the bluntness, I don't need to find a weakness. Your arm, your legs. They are readily apparent."

As he spoke of the extremities, he touched the butt of his lightsaber hilt to his own limbs. His left arm, his own leg, mirroring the worst and most obvious of her wounds. He was making a point, not threatening. His eyes didn't leave her, though his Force senses remained on alert.

"You will not be harmed unless you attempt harm first. I offer medical aid because it appears you need it."

He was ready to reach for his comlink should she agree. If she didn't however, he'd wait. This was a Sanctum world now, he wasn't the one on a timetable.

To put it plainly, the assumption that a Jedi could just sneak around in an academy filled with monstrosities and malevolent spirits was terribly naive. The academy was gone, the fiends inside it were destroyed.

Before Siobhan's eyes the academy crumbled upon itself through the combined power of the two Dark Jedi and clouds of dust rose up into the air. Deaths resonated in the Force as beasts and cultists perished and the spirits, deprived of the place that bound them to this reality, were banished. Presumably someone would complain about this solution being too violent.

"Next time we'll just bomb it outright. Got enough dark holocrons anyway," Siobhan muttered to herself as she looked over the Firemane unit and made a quick headcount. They had taken some casualties, though far less severe than if they'd tried to take the academy. She removed her beskar helmet, allowing the light of the sun to shine upon her scarred.

"Get the wounded aboard the ship." Walking towards Tempest, she pulled the Dahomian into a kiss after presumably liberating her of her helmet. "Well, that went well. Guess I owe you a few drinks, and other things."

Out of the corner of her eye spotted a Jedi approaching them. Judging by the reading she got, he was irritated for some reason, but was offering help. "Thanks for your offer. I'm fine. We have some wounded that could use help though." Eldorai healers were already seeing to them, but she would not turn down help if the Bith was willing.

If the Force amplification hadn’t been there, Connor’s fingers would have probably broken and they’d hurt a hell of a lot more than they did now. His eyes were closed and his face contorted in a show of brute strength as he hit. The Sigh was catapulted back, taking a few grunts with him – the others thankfully taking heed from their leader now lost in a far crypt.

Opening his eyes, Connor had his breath held still, thankfully seeing the vacated spot where his foe once stood, booming words echoing in his ears. Standing up slowly, still apprehensive, the crypt and surrounding area was soon awash with a pale flash and a dusty shockwave that exploded outwards.

batmanvsuperman-explosion-143699.jpg
Again, he twisted and covered himself from the explosion – or implosion – of Dark Side energy. And then…it was calm.

Turning back, the crypt and part of the valley itself was smouldering and littered with rock. Yet, somehow, Connor knew this Sith wasn’t gone. A monster fuelled by the essence of the Dark Side itself. He had a feeling this wouldn’t be their last meeting.

As Karen’s voice broke the silence, cutting through the rolling debris on the floor and swirling sand, Connor finally caught his breath and winced, trying to rub away the pain in his red knuckles. The lightsaber hilt in his hand probably didn’t help the punch.

”That was rusty. It’s been…a long time. Thank you for your help…Karen.” He wiped his mouth and batted the sand from his torso and looked outwards. ”Krux – yes, come on…”

He started off, a little light on his feet, but reached out to gently get Karen’s attention by touching her arm.

”Don’t intervene just yet however – this is a test I want to see play out myself for him in combat.”

Harley finally caught his lightsaber, rolled towards his body. As she did she deliberately knock her own helmet off, she then kissed him in mid fight. She liked his use of dark side, she liked the fact they where stealing things. She liked the fact he was not trying to hide or control his emotions, she liked him for that. She then as withdrew her lips, and said What you doing for valentines pudding? She was always was a little unhinged, and she thought this might be away of saving him from the light.

[member="Harley"]

Legs spread, Krux continued to parry blow after blow from the blonde Sith's assault. He observed her movements and tried to find an opening, as he had been. He began to think of a way to end this. He heard more explosions in the distance nearby in the Valley, more dust clouds getting kicked up, etc.

There! he thought as he saw an opening, thrusting his lightsaber at her. She rolled, then pivoted and, to his surprise, she...kissed him as he turned to attack. His eyes widened. He was about to shove her away until she withdrew herself and whispered something to him. He didnt hear it, he was dumbfounded. What am I doing for what?

Krux shook his head. "Not you, schutta" he said as he then went to plunge his lightsaber through her body as she stood before him with her defense down.

Krux shook his head. "Not you, schutta" he said as he then went to plunge his lightsaber through her body as she stood before him with her defense down. As he said that plunged his lightsaber into her, her eyes widened as she felt the initial burn. Her body instinctively moved out of the way, the blade caught the alchemised durasteel which saved her life. A tear ran down her eye, as she fell back on the rock. Why did he reject her, they where having fun dueling, he was stealing things. These where things she loved too, why did he reject and try and kill her, she was upset. She tried to stagger away, hoping to find away to cry in quite corner.

When Krux's lightsaber struck the side of [member="Harley"]'s armor, he thought he had successfully skewered her. For a moment, he regretted it. Stabbing the woman while she wasn't actually trying to kill him was.. harsh. Yes, she was Sith, but what kind of message was that sending? That Jedi are honorless?

Thankfully, and much to Krux's surprise, she had actually avoided the thrust and fallen back, presumably losing balance. He even noticed her excessive amount of makeup on her face began to run. Tears? Did he make her cry? Another Sith with feelings?

She stood up and started to stagger away. He heard her sniffling and felt a bit of guilt wash over him, but he was successful in his endeavor. [member="Cloudburner"]'s quest was completed and he drove the Sith away. For once, Krux felt proud of himself. You fended of a Sith and didnt feel like you wanted to go back...good job, Krux

He lowered his lightsaber and deactivated it, wiping his lips on the white sleeve of his robe. There was a red stain. Lipstick. He made a face. Gross...if Connor finds out what happened, i'll never hear the end of it.

Wait. Connor. Sith spit!

Krux turned on his heel and began to make his way back over to where [member="Connor Harrison"] was, only to find him with Cloud and [member="Karen Roberts"]. No other Sith in sight. The battle must have been over.

"Connor!" he called, making his way to the group, "Where'd the big scary Sith go? Is everyone okay?"

He’d only taken a few steps with Karen before Krux rounded a small dune in the valley and crested it with a sense of urgency, before slowing as he came to the wandering pair. It seemed he had been successful.

”Oh him? Well, he seemed to have a rather inflated opinion of himself.” Looking around at Karen, he held out his hand. ”This one however seemed to arrive just as things were getting interesting.” He gave her a small wink and turned back to Krux.

Checking him over, he nodded.

”You did well, Krux. I’m proud of you – a cunning warrior. Headstrong but noble. And a hit with the ladies I see even when they’re trying to kill you.”

He avoided looking at Krux and instead felt his embarrassment radiate. Things were…awfully quiet. Behind him a few Sanctum stragglers were trying to re-establish themselves. Over the valley, the plume of smoke was fading. The crypt was also calm now. There was one missing however.

”Where’s Cloudburner? What happened?”

[member="Krux Mullarus"] | [member="Karen Roberts"] |[member="Cloudburner"]

Krux opened his mouth to speak, then instantly Connor must have noticed the lipstick on his sleeve, or there was some left near his lips. He turned bright pink in the cheeks, wiping at it more furiously. He sighed, but couldn't help but laugh, "Ah...not by choice, sadly...

"I figured Cloud was with you. He kept talking through my comm during my duel with the Sith Apprentice. I think he said his mission was a success and he even salvaged some...souvenirs"
he said, rolling his shoulders around. The lightsaber duel made his arms a little bit sore. It would pass, of course, it just went to show how long it had been since Krux had a real fight all alone.

Then, he spoke to Connor telepathically. If I ever find Setzi, what happened here is never mentioned...

"Stop it. Right now." She said, coldly as the voice continued to talk in such happiness, which was pretty rude but she felt like she had to do it. Why she was bothering so much for this, she didn't know. She would already go her way and ignore the voice knowing that wasn't real or trying to trick her, yet something was stopping her. Something in the voice, that called her attention, that was so familiar and mysterious that was making Nima very curious to find out. She took a breathe, and then called again, keeping her calm, and staying cold. "I am leaving. Don't talk to me anymore. I can't help you, and I don't want to play your games." The voice was completely silent again... She took a step and two. Breathing, and calming herself down, slowly leaving this cursed place. The voice, one last time, spoke. The tone wasn't happy anymore. Yet wasn't sad either. It was just... distant. "Only one game. Then I won't bother you again." She felt very bad, hearing the same voice in so different tone, yet she didn't stop moving towards the exit. "Please." She stopped. Her heart started to beat like crazy, but she stopped. She was silent, just stood there. Why... Why did it work... this easily? She stood silent. The voice called again, with same happines as before. Talk about the mood switches. "You are still very cold." She took a breath. "One game."

Saying that with a sigh, she started to walk towards the depths of the tomb, listening to the voice, letting it guide her around and find the owner of the voice, to win the game and be done with it. Curiousity was a big aspect to this journey, yet she was doing it for something else as well... The voice, this whole conversation... It... gave her headache. Yeah, gave her a headache. Nothing more, nothing less. She took a breath again, the game continued and continued as she ventured between one tomb to another, hoping to find something after all this. At least the spirit was having fun, guiding her and joking around. One thing was sure, the journey started by the curiousity was starting to look like a game slowly as the frown turned into a happy smile. A flashing image, and the headache followed as she almost lost her balance. "Are... are you doing this?..."

Silence.

Just one more game. Then I won't bother you again.

A little child holding a woman by the robes, excitedly pulling it.

All too familiar...

Huh... No no no... Stay careful. "Getting very warm." The voice said as seconds passed, it sounded excited. Very excited. She was about to uncover what this was all about soon, but same excitement couldn't be read from Nima. She was... She didn't know what she felt right now. She was just... She stopped caring about what she was feeling, since emotions were always a problem for her. It was her only goal to finish the game, and that was it. She would leave. But, call it a sense, she thought this wouldn't be the case. She continued walking towards that one tomb. She knew... somehow... the answer was there. The finish line of the game. Was it sad... Why wasn't she smiling, she won the game. She knew why. "Is that it?... Are you there?" She asked. "Still haven't found me yet." The voice called. "Open the tomb..." The moment of truth, was coming quickly. She stood there. Unsure about what to do. She was scared. Not because of the thing could be a trap, but she knew she wasn't going to like what was about to happen. Holding her hand on the very uncomfortable looking bed. "I am not sure." She said, "I don't like this." She added... her voice was still calm, but a bit shaky. "You can do it." The voice reassured the girl. "Don't you want to know what you will find out here?"

Yes, I do. She didn't say that last words. Taking a deep breath, she did it... Her heart was about to explode from the curiousity... Slowly extending the tomb's lid, she landed it away from it, and looked inside. There was a Twi'lek woman, still not decomposed. Her lightsaber standing in her hands, she looked like she was just... sleeping... Flashing images came back, as she looked at her face, and started to sob. "So..." She said... then tears followed. She didn't know why. She didn't remember, didn't remember her face, who was this woman, or anything resembled her. Then why was she crying? Maybe the peaceful state she was in, even though she was dead by long... Maybe... no... She knew it wasn't the reason. "So... did I win the game?" What a stupid question to ask. But she didn't know what to say. And the voice was probably confused too, by her crying. Then she felt a presence just behind of her. "You still... don't remember me?... Nima?" She turned towards the voice. The woman inside the tomb, was standing right in front of her...

"I was little back then.

Several years ago.

I had a very happy family.

A big family.

Things were good, I had my sisters right beside me. I was happy."

"No..."

"Then I grew up a little.

The kids would bully me a lot.

But I knew that my family would protect me.

I love them."

"I..." More tears came up. The voice... it was silent. She was silent.

"My father was always busy.

He always would go on a trip, never told what it was about.

We would go to that cave to spend the day with my sisters.

I miss him.

I wish he was here."

She started to have a headache...

"My mother was kind.

She always had the time to play with us.

Even though she had work like my father.

I would always get one more game.

I loved my mother so much."

"I am sorry."

"Stop it.

I don't want to hurt anyone.

I don't want to be like you.

Father slapped me.

I cried.

Mother was there. With my sisters.

They saw it. Saw him slapping me.

They had a big fight.

She left our home.

Because of me."

Six years of her life, slowly coming back to her head as she couldn't stop crying. "I am sorry, mother."

"Father got more violent.

He was a Sith after all.

He wanted us to obey him.

He had this cold room.

Said he wouldn't let us out until we learned our lesson.

I hate the cold."

She wanted to hug her. But she couldn't hug a voice.

"Mom came back...

She didn't leave us with him.

She would protect us whenever we did something wrong.

We weren't doing anything wrong."

"She disappeared..."

"A year passed.

Everything went to black..."

"She is dead." The images stopped coming. She couldn't endure it anymore, and collapsed to the ground crying.

"Don't cry, Nima. I simply wanted to say hello to my daughter. It has been a long time. I missed you. I missed all of you." The voice... her tone...

"I am... sorry."

"Don't be. It wasn't your fault. I am glad you are alive after that blaster shot. You remembered, right?"

"... He killed you..."

"It has been done. Don't beat yourself for it." With a happy tone, then silence. The voice continued, it was... she was slowly fading away from existence. "Listen to me." She came closer. "I don't have many regrets in this life. You three are the best thing that happened to me." A quick stop. "Loving him was a mistake. I knew it. We were different. Very different. I cared, he didn't. I left my orders as a Sith aside, and loved my family. He loved his job. I wanted you all to have a good life. He wanted you to become what he was. I interfered. I fought with him. I bluffed, said he would have to kill me if he wanted to make you become like him. I knew he wouldn't kill me. He did. I was wrong." She said, the spirit was smiling. "Though looking back... I am glad I chose him. He is the reason you are all my children now. I watched you all, see what you've become... I am proud."

How she wanted to hug her, but she continued crying.

Silence.

"He buried me here with all these disgusting spirits, bound my spirit here by dark powers. Didn't let me to have a good sleep." She laughed. "With my own lightsaber. He had a good sense of humour."

"Don't say that."

"He had though. That's why I loved him. Nima..."

"Yes..?"

"Take the lightsaber. As a parting gift."

"But... but that would kill you!" She protested. She didn't have the strength to do it after having their reunion.

"I am already dead, Nima... It will just allow me to sleep peacefully. Don't you want to... help me?"

"It has to be another way... I can't... I just can't."

"There is no other way. You know that." She came closer. She hugged Nima, she didn't feel the presence, but she was there. It made her... happy.

"I want to help..." She stopped. "I'll... If... it will make you... happy...."

"Good. You know what to do." She nodded. Her whole body was shaking. Her hand didn't want to remove the lightsaber from her mother's grasp. But she did it. The spirit faded slowly, with a smile. Nima wanted to reach, but couldn't manage to hold her.

"Tell your sisters your mother is very proud. And... tell them... I love.... you all..."

She disappeared.

"Goodbye..."

She, her mother's tomb, and loneliness.
