Born standin' up and takin' back.
Eldin watched the old Jedi Master with a furrow on his brow, he was being more cryptic then he had been before. But letting the words wash over him for a while as he too, picked himself up and followed the old Master further into the swamp. What he was looking for, Eldin did not know, surely it can't be tea. He followed quietly for a while, pacing through the muddy ground not really caring about his boots, they were already muddy anyway and more will not make a difference.
His mind turned to Jek, the last days with him old mentor and all the planning they had done to find his family's killer. All Eldin wanted to do was help his friend, to find some sort of peace with himself but as the days passed and that day grew nearer, peace was not achieved. Eldin knew this by the way he would sit silently, his eyes almost blank from life and only when addressed by him, did Jek show any form of response. Eldin had put it down to the taste of revenge, oh so near but it wasn't that at all.
Could he have stopped his mentor from killing himself? maybe but it would have only been temporary, Jek would have done it later when Eldin was not around. But why did he have to do it in front of him? This made Eldin angry again, to be so selfish to ruin another's life, giving them memories that would haunt someone and turn them inward and push others away. Was he punishing Eldin for something? he did not know what that could have been, Eldin loved his old friend. Love him enough to help him kill the man that took everything from him.
"How could me destroy my life, just as much as he did his own?", the question spoke aloud unwittingly. At this moment, the force grew strong around him, he could sense it for the first time without trying. It was soothing in settling Eldin for a moment, even if brief, it was welcomed. He looked up to see the back of the old Master, wondered where the old guy was taking him.
"I can feel it", he said, but hearing it was not yet achieved.
