COMPANY ONE & TWO
Continuing to advance, the two companies which had converged now attempted to sweep the innermost parts of the facilities, attempting to both find the remaining resistance in the form of security and mercenaries, but also the ones responsible for doing what was thought nearly unheard of: taking down a Paragon with such little effort, for someone who was capable to do something like this HAD to either be eliminated for the safety of the droids' master or to bring them into the fold...

Thus the search for Velda Praz Velda Praz continued...

COMPANY THREE
With Dextra Tane Dextra Tane seemingly flabbergasted by the situation, one of the droids of company Three stepped forward, holding up a datapad with a basic layout of the facilities displayed upon it. "The main generators would be to the east from our location, damage must have occured with the assault by the paragons. What are your orders Director Tane?"

The other on in their vicinity was right on the money with their remark on the Paragons, because of this display of insight, the droid who was standing near the Director gave the young woman a nod. "Affirmative, the Paragons' assault has damaged the facilities and hampered our original mission. A report on the status of this assault will be sent to the appropriate divisions."

COMPANY FOUR
"I am inclined to believe that," The Marquis let out a somewhat nervous chuckle when hearing from the other interloper Iellax Pellis Iellax Pellis that if their aim had been to take his life, he wouldn't have seen them coming. Though to be fair, he hadn't seen them coming at this instance either, but at the very least it did prove that the Valkan Guards weren't easy to overwhelm or surprise either, especially Centurion Livicus, who had been a veteran from the Second Hyperspace War. "It does indeed seem that the Empire plays rather fast and loose with its assets...without consulting all the parties involved. Such things can cause grave miscommunications and problems along the line."

Moving his hand to the side with the back of his hand facing upwards, the Marquis motioned his Valkan Guards to lower their weapons, repeating this motion to further convince Livicus to lower his own weapon as well, so that Lissa Lissa would feel more inclined to do the same on her end.

"One of the companies of droids I have within this facility should already be on route to the facility's generators," The marquis looked at the company of droids he had with him, with the company commander nodding. "Affirmative, Company Three has made contact with Imperial Assets and has assessed the situation. The Paragons' assault has most likely shocked the facility's grid and overloaded the generators."

In Lissa’s mind, the Marquis’ anger was unbecoming for a man of his apparent stature. She understood the arrogance, if one considered the fact that he might have never once found himself in such a dire, life-threatening position of disadvantage before now. However, his anger caused the clone to blink her eyes in rapid succession, sable-toned features taking on a wide-eyed expression of confusion beneath her helmet’s unreadable mask.

Nevertheless, Lissa acted as implicitly ordered and deactivated her gauntlet lightsaber, the alabaster-hued blades shutting off with a soft hiss. Then, taking a cautious step back, the clone moved towards the body of the security guard she had slain earlier and quickly searched it, before finding a datapad.

Pulling out her multi-slice tool, Lissa unlocked the device and keyed in commands to search for a map of the facility. Only a couple seconds later, the clone’s eyes lit up with equal parts surprise and shock. The map popped up on the screen and in another file were all the passkeys needed to enter various restricted areas across the facility, including the emergency generators.

Without hesitation, Lissa downloaded the map and the passkey document to her armor and OmniLink device, before transmitting the same files to Iellax and the rest of the squad via the telepathic network.

Once that was done, Lissa ignited the lightsabers mounted to her left arm and promptly impaled the alabaster blades through the datapad, immediately destroying the device and its hard drive.

Then, in a manner just as stealthy as she had arrived, Lissa faded into the shadows.

Objective I: In the Jungle, the Mighty Jungle...

Dieter felt the weightlessness from his rocket pack end and the heft of gravity pulling him back toward the ground. He arched through the air, weapon pointed below, waiting for his helmet's scanners to pick up targets. Thirty meters till impact... twenty-five meters... fifteen meters... it wasn't until ten meters that his HUD lit up with both friendlies and hostiles. But, like clockwork, Dieter and the four other marines began firing on hostiles as they pierced through the trees.

He hit the ground with a loud thud and with enough force to create a small crater where he hit. The internal mechanisms and dampeners took the majority of the fall but would need to be looked at after this mission. However, Dieter had little time to think about that as a slug ricocheted off the pauldron of his armor, taking a chunk of the duranium with it. They were being shot at from three different directions, with a cliff edge behind them.

"Use your grenade launchers in sectors eight, nine, and ten! If they are using the trees as cover, then destroy the trees!" He said over the holocomm raising his HIMAR to account for the drop before launching a grenade directly into the chest of a Sakiyan hunter.

After a few volleys of grenades the blaster and slug-fire stopped; everything quieted down and the sound of insects and other animal life returned to the area. Dieter ordered a few of the other marines to check the corpses of the hunters but to stay in sight of their defensive position. He walked over to this squad's lead ensign, his left arm was limp and his armor was stained with his blood, another ensign helped lift him to his feet, which was littered with a couple of aerosol bacta canisters.

"LT my left arm is kriffed. The bleeding has stopped, but hurts like hell," he said shifting onto his own weight. "I can still use my right and my three-p to finish the mission."

"I like your spirit. You'll be in the back with him," he said pointing to the medic ensign that helped him up. "Your second will take over the lead position."

"Sir, we are done with the hunter corpses." They waited until Dieter nodded for them to go on. "They are using high-powered slugthrowers with armor-penetrating rounds. We were able to follow footsteps in a north-northwestern direction for another twenty meters before the tracks disappeared."

"Good job ensign. For now, we are going to hold here for the Major's group. I want everyone to watch their sectors while I consult with him."

Once the Major arrives...

"Major, it's good to see you. I didn't know we were supposed to bring attractive company, if so I would've told these boys to stay home," he said pointing over his shoulder to his men. "Who's your guest?"

"This barely dressed "companion," Shov said with contempt in his tone. "Is a Sith prisoner, the Empress has entrusted me to hold her chain and to use her to scout for any Force artifacts. Imperial Agents have detected-"

Shov raised as well as his squad raised their rifles, their eyes quickly scanning the jungle. Loud, resonating roars echoed in the jungle. Shov frowned as he saw the remaining green skinned rebels fall back behind the trees. "Gundarks?" Maximus whispered to Shov.

"No," the Paragon shook his head beads of sweat started to form around his brow. "Gundarks shriek and whatever these creatures are, it caused the rebels to leave."

The natives have been fighting the Gundarks for years, what could possibly scare them?

"Deiter," Shov said. "Form your Squad in a defensive position! And you Sith! Stick close to me, if you move an inch from us, I will have you shot!"

Racing from one shadow to the next, it took less than a minute for Lissa to arrive at the emergency generators. They were located inside of a small enclosed structure, the far corners being where four cylinder-shaped generators were positioned, each of which were roughly the height of a Wookiee. Positioned on a console at the center of the room was a large lever, labeled to mark it as the primary control for each of the generators.

Lissa quickly scanned over the console, her gaze poring over the labels and signs posted in the process. Then, satisfied that all of the safeties were in place (at least from what she could tell), the clone pulled the lever into the down position, at which point a distinct series of clicks, hums, and whines sounded out as various machines and systems came back to life all at once. She gave a deep exhalation of breath, allowing herself a couple seconds to steady her breathing before returning to her work.

“Lady Obscurer, the power has been restored.” Lissa reported to Iellax and the rest of the squad, in a tone that was equal parts relieved and surprised, as if the occurrence had merely happened on its own. “I will proceed towards the target as soon as their location is obtained from the tracking system.” The clone added, aware of the fact that she was the fastest of the squad and would likely be able to arrive there first.

"Ready on your cue!"

"About damn time," Dextra muttered when the lights were turned on. "All right guys we got reinforcements and the fact that the tinnies are occupying the main security force."

She grabbed her Lightsaber gripping the beskar hilt. "You're not going to get that information Nyree," the young woman winked at her. "That distinct will be for me! You honestly think I waded my way through the fracking battlefield just to come up empty handed?"

Besides, Dextra was curious to see what this information curtails and damn it after what those fracking ass trash cans did and nearly getting Dextra killed, she wanted to claim the credit for this op. "I'm leading the way people," Dextra said. "I'll be on my way soon."

Iellax kept careful watch over the Marquis and his guards. Though he stated that they were on the same side, the Nagai was not inclined to believe that blindly. It seemed obvious the Marquis was willing to take advantage of the Imperial presence to take what he wanted from the Sakiyans, that didn't mean he was for the Empire. Though technically we're Iellax and her team completely for the Empire?

When the power came back on there was a mischievous grin on Iellax' lips.

"Well Marquis it seems like have all been cast out of the shadows. That is not a good place for me and my team to opporate. I wish you luck on your mission. If you stay out of our way. We will stay out of yours."

Iellax turned her attention back to Lissa. "As soon as you have our target you take lead. I will be behind you. Ideon will take up the rear. Quick and quiet is how we will operate."

As soon as the target was found Iellax nodded to Lissa as the Verum went stealth the Nagai opened a comm to the last member of the team. "Nyree we are on the move stay with the Director."

New-Obscurium-Divider.png

"Lady Director. My team and I are not looking for fanfare or recognition. What we find will be yours to use and distribute as you desire," Nyree explained.

The clone received the message from Iellax as Dextra was ready to move out with the droids in tow. There was a disappointed look on her face, but with a sigh she readied herself to join the director.

"I will keep an eye out for any threat. You won't see me, but I will make sure that you are able to sense me. Others will not be so lucky.

The world slowed down within Lissa’s perception as she sank her hips closer to the ground so as to prime her muscles for maximum impulse. Then, steadying her breathing, she pursed her lips and flexed her fingers. The clone was ready to move, and all she needed now was the location of their target.

And just as she breathed out, the location came, manifesting in the map projected onto her HUD as a small dot. It was moving quickly towards the edge of the facility, an observation from which Lissa discerned that the target was moving to escape from the facility.

Lissa took off with the force of a rocket, the air distorting around her as the Force hyper-augmented her muscles to accelerate their contraction speed. She moved as little more than a blur to the naked, unaugmented Human eye, her blistering speed carrying her through the facility in a manner akin to a missile. In seconds, the assassin arrived at the edge of the facility. Upon seeing that the gates were being shut, she accelerated before sliding just underneath them only a split-second before they would have closed, drawing a sudden shout from the operator.

From there, the landspeeder outside had little hope of escaping from her as it flew over the makeshift road. Lissa leapt, jumping up onto the hood before igniting her lightsabers and plunging them into the engine bay. The landspeeder fishtailed as the clone flipped off the hood, at which point the vehicle flipped over multiple times before coming to a rest at the side of the road.

“Target is on my position.” Lissa spoke into the squad’s shared comm channel as she deactivated her lightsabers. “Moving to secure!” And with that, the clone approached the vehicle, finding the dazed occupants inside. She moved to the passenger seat and there, found the engineer she was looking for—a slender, green-skinned male Sakiyan with sharp aquiline features. After checking the engineer’s pulse and spinal integrity, she dragged him out, before placing his arms in stuncuffs.

At that point, Lissa took a deep, satisfied breath, before opening her comm.

“Lady Obscurer, the target is in custody and ready for extraction.” Lissa reported, a measure of relief and delight manifesting in her tone. “I believe that...is our mission complete.” She added, a soft, if restrained smile coming over her features as she spoke.
