Snacks and destruction don't mix well

Scarlet had only been joking around, but when Zack agreed, she stared at him, her eyes as wide as her smile. "You really mean it? You and me, working together?" The thought of it made her so excited. He was a really cool guy, and he wanted to work with her! How awesome was that? Taking all of this in, she jumped up and hugged him.

Smiling As she thought I was joking. asking me the question if we really were. I started to answer her but was cut off as she grabbed me in for a hug. At first I did't know what to do. Part of me wanted to push her off. The other half of me wanted to hug her back. I smiled as I chose the latter. I wrapped my arms around her with a smile. "Yes I mean it." I knew that this would lead to something.

I pulled her off of me to look at her. "Now for me to join you, I need my weapons." I chuckled.

Scarlet pulled away and blushed deep red. "Right. Here ya go." She walked over to the table and grabbed the two pistols, then handed them to him. "So what now?"

I smiled as she blushed. Clearly something was going on in her mind. Though I decided not to pry. I grabbed the pistols from her and smiled with a nod. "I cant just carry them in my hands all the time. I need a holster for both of them." I looked around for anything that might be of use. Sight was easy for me as the items stood out. "You mind if I use some of your leather and cloth over there?" I pointed towards a few pieces of leather that were on a cabinet.

"Help yourself. Though I may have an idea at what would be best for you." She pulled up a basic diagram of a human body, and reached her finger around the upper chest and back, watching as a holster began to form. Once it was finished, she explained. "With a holster like this, your pistols will overlap each other and you will have easier access to them. In short, faster draw, faster shooting. We'll also need pouches for your clips, like mine." She patted her own pouches.

I could see what she was getting at. The pistols would be up against my chest and stomach that way it was easier to grab onto them and overall a better, faster draw. I smiled as I rubbed my chin. Walking over to the holo I smiled. "How about this......" I spoke as my hand reached out and started to move over the material so it was on the small of the back. The were vertical and placed on the small of his back. "Same concept and yet concealed."

Scarlet looked at the model, then at Zack, her eyes lingering on him for a second, then back at the model again. "It could very easily work. I like it." She walked over to the hologram and collapsed it into her hand, then deposited it into a small projector. "I'm gonna keep this for future reference, if you don't mind? It may give me some ideas."

I shook my head as she compacted the model down and stored it in the holo. As she did so I walked over to the leather and cloth wraps and set them on the table. Looking around I couldn't find anything for clothes. I mean, the place was full of metal scraps and holos that I didn't know where to look. "That's fine with me, and where do you keep the needles for stuff like this?"

"Right over here." Scarlet walked over and pulled out a small box, and handed it to him. The wooden box contained assorted needles, as well as a few spools of thread.

Smiling I walked over to her and the box. Inside was an assortment of needles. I grabbed one of them along with a spindle of black thread. I set them on the table as Scarlet would be putting the box somewhere. I grabbed the leather pieces and laid them on the table as well. Sitting down I grabbed a piece and started to work. "If you can sew as well we could get this done quicker, ya know? I said as a smirk grew on my face.

'Or I could sit here and admire this hunk', Scarlet thought as he smiled at her. Instead, however, she sat down next to him and began to thread a needle as well. "Teamwork always helps, huh?" Se smiled and bit her lip.

Taking the needle and thread I started to work on sewing the leather together. Each stroke deliberate and needed for it. Looking up I saw Scarlet working on the task, but taking longer than I would. Ether she was wanting to do a really good job or she was putting a rose in it again. However, I had a feeling that it was something else that was slowing her down. I didn't mind thought. It's not like we had a huge job to do.

Scarlet worked slowly on her own project, once more putting every effort into it so that it was perfect in her eyes. Remembering the rose that they together had designed, she began to weave a black rose into the fabric, before threading a small stem and leaves. Smiling to herself, she showed it to Zack. "What do you think?"

I continued to work on my part of the holster that would be on the small of my back. Even so when Scarlet called my attention to her. I watched as the rose was printed onto the leather by hand. I smiled at it. "That looks awesome." I started to try my own hand at the sewing when I realized that Scarlet was doing a lot better job than I. I smiled as I looked at her. "You wouldn't mind if I had you do that again?"

"Sure, give me a few." She took the holster and sowed nother rose, her nimble fingers moving gracefully acros the fabric. It was almost like magic the way she sowed the design, and in minutes she had the second holster embroidered with it.

I watched as she took her time to work on the holsters. Adding the detail on the leather of a rose that resembled the ones on the pistols. Seeing her small hands move ever so vigilantly. I looked up to her face and the soft features. Even her gray eyes seemed to grow brighter every second longer that I looked at them. I felt my face turn hot as I looked away. Trying very hard to finish my own work.

Scarlet smirked as she caught Zack staring at her. 'I am so winning this', she thought to herself. "Enjoying the view? There's always more where that came from." She winked at him and giggled softly, her face full of joy both of her work, and her growing attraction to him. This was going to be fun.

As I was putting in the final stitches Scarlet spoke out loud about enjoying the view of her. I smiled and nodded my head as the last words of her sentence rang out between us. "Only I wonder where it comes from." Looking at her I winked and chuckled as I let my hands and eye fall upon the work of my holsters.

Scarlet blushed then, looking away. "You'll see." Her face was almost as red as the many different shades on her ship.

I could only smile as I stood up. She said that I would just have to see. I shrugged it off for now. Taking my belt I undid the clasp and took the belt off. Adjusting my pants I put the holsters on the belt as I put it back on. It fit snugly yet not to tight. Smiling I nodded my head. I grabbed both of the pistols and put them in the holsters to see that it wasn't that heavy. I practiced drawing from my back. With the sound of metal rubbing on leather the pistols came out and pointed at the target of the hull of the ship.

Smiling, they went back into the holsters on the small of my back. With empty mags I now had to go and buy ammo. "maybe you could show me where it comes from after we buy me some ammo?" I offered a small hint in my words for later on.
