Some Holiday, Am I Right? (Silver Jedi Dominion of Vaynai)

As [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] and [member="Connor Harrison"] guided their teams into the left flank of the mercenaries the group started to collapse upon itself, mostly organized with few actually running from the battle. Even though they were the enemy and they were trying to kill his fellow soldiers Vladimir had to respect them for their organization, they were disciplined and well trained, not something you expected from your average mercenary. They were retreating towards the center as there was only the flames of their destroyed artillery to retreat to behind them. It was exactly what he wanted, especially now that the artillery was setup behind them.

They had not yet fired their massive cannons on the enemy lines preparing for a massive barrage that Vladimir had planned once he had the mercenaries bunched up more. The right flank of Rangers wasn’t able to push the enemy in as the Jedi had managed on the left flank but that was ok, he didn’t want to kill them all, he just wanted to force a mass surrender under ideal conditions, at the very least looking for a distraction so they could close the distance on the enemy line so they could get more accurate shots, as it was they were operating just inside the maximum range of most of the blaster carbines they were using and every time they attempted to close that distance the mercenaries punished them for it with their heavy weapons emplacements. That was the benefit of being the defenders.

Looking up over his cover and snapping off a few shots at the enemy who tried to do the same across on their side of things. He noted how quickly things had gone from a once idyllic beach setting to a battered and beaten battlefield. It was a shame to see such destruction but he would rather that than see more Rangers lose their lives then was absolutely necessary, his own squad had suffered a few losses, now was not the time to grieve for them however they all had a job to do. He glanced over his shoulder at the makeshift medical triage center that had formed behind their line and knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that they had to push forward and soon, give the medics the room to do their job and ultimately save more lives.

“Artillery command, we need a rolling barrage, I am marking coordinates for the start and stop points, I am going to order an advance behind the barrage so keep it tight.” Vladimir requested as he transmitted the coordinates he was marking with his macrobinoculars.

“Understood and prepared, give us a minute to set the coordinates.” The commander of the artillery responded professionally.

Looking down the line Vladimir ducked down again as the enemy started to pour fire on his cover. He set his comm to broadcast to every Ranger along the front. “Time to push an advance, wait for the artillery before we move we will be advancing behind it. Fire will be danger close so don’t advance too quickly.”

The artillery barrage started and Vladimir was first out of cover. “Move it out, keep behind the artillery fire. No doubt you will come across injured mercenaries along the route as we push inland, disarm them and mark their location for the medics. The same applies for anyone who chooses to surrender.”

Moving swiftly through the haze generated by the artillery barrage Vladimir and what was left of his squad came across a whole foxhole full of injured and surrendering mercs who had been trapped under the rolling barrage a hundred and a half meters away from their original location. He signalled they should be disarmed and his squad should set up shop here. They were closer to the enemy line as the mercenaries had not retreated far taking cover further inland out of the way of the Silver Jedi artillery barrage that had ceased for now.

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Matsu looked at the others as they worked, her fight coming in while the blade activated and the force whispered. What she had, what small connection was still there telling her where to move the blade, where to step her foot and with each breath she felt the energy. She drew it into her core before letting it out and twirling the blade while she deflected the shots back into the kneecaps of a soldier. Her hand coming out and leaving the blade. "Stay down." She pulled and brought the helmet over his head before knocking it to his head and he crumpled down to the ground. Her body rotated and ducked down lower as she slid it up and slashed a blaster in half then pushing him away.

Master E'ron-

You offered to help continue my retraining, and I find myself near your territory. I'm told you've run into a spot of trouble on Vaynai and I may be able to help if you give clearance.

The comlink beeped, Iella, hidden in the corridor leading to the main room, winched. I always forget to turn this thing off, she cursed herself.

The message received a surprise, a happy surprise. Although Ashin and her had not seen eye to eye in the past, Iella smirked remembering the meeting in the Jedi Order chambers, which seemed eons ago now, Iella had always respected the woman. Her mind also fell to the day of the Convocation, the stripping of the force from Ashin and did not agree with it however, the decision made completed.

The main room buzzed with voices, her presence now revealed, as the Hutt ordered a search. Iella opened the comlink "Ashin you are cleared", she spoke softly, "I am about to go .. 'negotiate'". Iella left the comlink open just in case negotiations went pear shaped. She stepped out of her position, pulling her cowled cloak about her body. Subtle hand movements quelled the minds of most in the room. Iella stood before the Hutt, mindful of any concealed trap doors in the floor.

"My exulted Jutta, Leader of all the Hutts, I come before you to seek your assistance".. well it was a start.

The Peregrine slashed down through Vaynai's atmosphere, reentry fire curling around its prow and the edges of its rounded wings. Only a faint and brief signal had come from Master E'ron's comm, not remotely enough to triangulate. Sensors registered violence in numerous locations, the Silver Jedi engaging with Hutt forces. One of the SJO orbital assets, working from Master E'ron's clearance, gave Ashin a set of coordinates, and the Peregrine touched down at a public pad not far from the entertainment district.

"How much for the daily rate?"

The port attendant studiously did not examine the massive sniper rifle slung over Ashin's shoulder. "Thr-ah, two hundred."

"Here's three fifty to keep it quiet." Her eyes tracked past the attendant, and up to the top of a holosign-adorned five-story building that looked like it had good overwatch potential.

"Coo sa da wanga, Jedai?", came the expected response from the Hutt, as the sound of clicks echoed through the room. From the dark shadows of the main room, several of the Hutts body guards emerged with blasters aim at Iella's back.

She stood motionless, and remained calm. Under her cloak her hand held her white blade. "I am Master Iella E'ron of the Order of the Silver Jedi, the ruling government of Vaynai, has contacted me asking for help as crime grows uncontrolled on this fine planet, I come to ask you for help oh Might Jutta, one so esteemed as your majesty must know of these crime ring?".

Iella know of course, the Jutta is the leader, she is simply stalling for time to allow the Silver Jedi to complete their mission. Before arresting the might Jutta.

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
The padawan kept watching as Saki moved coming out of the crowd of enemy soldiers. Her arms limp from fighting but a pile of unconscious bodies there. The silver jedi's rangers moved about securing them as she approached the padawan. "Come on kid we'll leave them to their work while we move off to help the others." With a nod of her head she started running behind Saki towards [member="Vladimir Kirov"] and his group with a small smile on her face. The snap hiss of her own blade meeting the grunt of Saki punching a hostile. She heard the sizzling shot before deflecting the second as she stopped moving to bring her blade up. Saki was moving as she bobbed and weaved letting the force guide her body through the shots.

Gurbot had found his way to the wreckage just in time to witness the carnage that lay before him so clearly. Great masses of Hutt tech and barges were barreling in his direction, their guns wreaking havoc upon the pickets posted along the shoreline. Out of nowhere however he vaguely caught the sight of Master Gan's slight but stealthy form weave between and under the war-machines with astounding ease, managing to bring on the destruction of three of the vehicles, it was quite the spectacle for tired eyes. Still dozens more came on and not wanting to show weakness in the face of peril, Gurbot- for once - and hopefully once physically put himself into the fight, using the nominal amount of force he could muster from meditation, Gurbot propulsed himself out into the ocean and with a mighty raising of his flipper-like arms sent typhoon like rogue waves to overcome five more of the oncoming vehicles, not wishing to take lives however, Gurbot rounded up his quarry taking several dozen of the Hutt rogues prisoner. With the combined great spectacle of both Master Gan's deeds and the force tidal wave, the rest of the Hutt forces seemed to back off for the time being, content with shelling from afar.

Gurbot had enough of the wastes of war as it disgusted and made him grow exponentially weary from the shear amount of power it took to stabilize situations and actually be expected to kill and maim-something he thought would corrupt him, luckily Gurbot once again staved off taking the life of another personally.
The only thought he had now once reaching Master Gan so they could aid in possibly seeking the surrender of the Hutts. At that moment he sensed Master I'ella, the time was nigh Gurbot felt, maybe the Hutt rulers will come to there senses.

At the same time Gurbot kept in the back of his mind the hundreds of slaves being rounded up prior, "Maybe some things need to be expediently dealt with" he thought to himself.

She set up shop on the roof, under cover of a utility shed, a sheet metal air vent, and a couple of holobillboards. Her weapon of choice this fine day was an ArmTech M6 Railgun Sniper Complex, accurate to 2300 metres, sixty cal. She got comfortable a little way back from the edge of the roof and used macrobinoculars to narrow in on the nearest cluster of trouble in the entertainment district. Unbeknownst to her, [member="Iella E'ron"] wasn't far away from the region where Ashin's binocs picked up a cluster of Hutt Cartel legbreakers, chuckling and tossing a small cylinder from man to man. The lightsabre -- sky blue, simple hilt, a Padawan's weapon -- snapped to life by accident, and they all backed away fast, laughing at themselves and each other. The hilt rolled across the ground, scything wildly, until one stepped in and picked it up. As he fumbled for the activation switch, Ashin's first shot-

Missed. She really wasn't all that good a sniper. Squad marksman level, no more, at least without the Force. The Murr Earrings lent her focus, the Korriban Compass added to that at range, and she was pretty decent at Force enhanced aim. The sixty cal bulled ripped through the space between his elbow and his chest. The shockwave shattered the arm; he dropped the lightsabre.

In accordance with her expectation the Hutt laughed. Time for negotiations will come to end soon, very soon as Iella never one to have much patience, is now running short of it. Political persuasion never her strong suit. There was too much of the fighter in her.

"You response is answer enough", she simply said as she turned and raised her arm. The guards behind her flew through the air as Iella issued a force push toward them. Their bodies hitting the back wall with force enough to knock them out, and cause injury. The Force telling her they would be no further thread.

As she turned back she pushed back her cloak and ignited the white blade. "Negotiation is ended, by the power given to me by the government of Vaynai, you are under arrest". she said firmly. "If you resist I will order No Quarter to my forces".

Ashin pulled her eye away from the scope and brought up the macros again. The legbreakers had scattered during the recoil, but now they seemed to be moving in one particular direction -- towards safety, or so she thought, but when she checked their vector she found others converging on one point, a building elsewhere in the entertainment district. On a hunch, Ashin checked her Korriban Compass, whose needles would point to nearby Force artifacts. If a Jedi was in that building and carrying Force items, like Ashin's Sigil of Hope, Murr Earrings, and Heartstone Amulet, the compass would point to them. A poor substitute for being able to feel if there were Jedi there, but at this range it would have to do.

She got off another shot, this one right through a group of them just about to enter the building where Iella had just confronted the Hutt. The Jedi Master would be able to feel death and hear a massive BOOM of sixty calibre railgun slug embedding itself in permacrete.

Connor Harrison

Connor stood atop a smoulder wing of a transport, smoking gently and burning amongst other assorted debris, looking back out to the beach behind him that the Silver Jedi and troops they had stormed moments ago. It felt like hours.

The battle for the beach was over, at least for now.

[member="Vladimir Kirov"] and [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] seemed to have made contact and now were rounding up those still trying to push the Jedi and special forces back.

[member="Shalla Horizonis"], [member="Matsu Ike"] and [member="Knight"] were to the right scouting the area with a handful of troops to ensure everyone was accounted for, and those fallen were quietly noted.

However as the breeze form the sea ticked the base of his spine, warm with sweat, dry blood and sand, he had no perception of [member="Gurbot Luk"] or even Masters [member="Rasu Gan"] or [member="Iella E'ron"] - they weren't dead, but they weren't near, or at least not for Connor to feel in their unified bond with the Force.

He jumped down from the wing onto the sand below and held the deactivated saber in his hand, walking forward gently, fatigue starting to creep in the moment he let his defences down after the brutal and bloody battle that his Order has led so well.

Just another day for the Silver Jedi it seemed.

Clogged feet would slowly tip toe towards his destination, Habaek's back pressing as tightly as he could against the wall to keep from being seen.

I am a fly on a nerf's ass... The words would flow through his lips in a low mutter.

I am a fly... More tiptoes, on a nerf's ass.

Which meant even if buzzing around the place, the Nerf wouldn't mind. Just a part of the scenery, nothing to see here...

A dark puffy crown of hair would peek from a low corner of a doorway, black slanted eyes appearing thereafter, halting midnose. Blink blink. His eyes went darting to the left. On to the right.

One leg with a tattered pantsleg went sliding inside, clog first. His body would dip and lower, almost crabwalking, as his other leg would follow suit. Sneaky sneaky. Yes.

His objective?

The buffet hallway. Why? Well people to save... and food.

Lots of food.

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Matsu was moving with the others and focused on what was coming. Her demeanor changing as she straightened her hat and coat, battle was no longer upon them and her shaping secured away as needed. She would defend herself when more showed up before rushing off towards the end of the goal. Scouting held some appeal while she slipped her hands into her pockets and touched the cool hilt of her training saber. The small enjoyment of going where needed and helping coming back like it had on Nixor with Aika. She had worked on her healing techniques there and now here as the soldiers moved around her she stopped holing a hand. "Wait , do not proceed to fast. Rushing ahead could be dangerous if you do not know what could be at the end."

Unfortunately for Ashin's compass, it would not find any amulets and the like. Iella does not carry them even though she has them. She much prefers to rely on her abilities and strength those, she considers such things to make Jedi 'lazy' or dependent on artificial means which is dangerous. A time might come when the artifact is rendered inoperable then the Jedi is left defenseless or unable to cope. Having said that, the only thing that might point the compass to her direct is the embedded Great Life Jewels in her body, no means to enhance force skills in those, apart from her life.

Double standard .. maybe. She smiled.

The Hutt before her only laughed, not message sent to stand down and so Iella moved forward to end 'negotiations'. However, her force senses indicated a sudden lose of life, a life take quickly .. and then another. Following .. a loud boom and the walls of the place reverberated. Some of the beings in the area screamed and fled, others however, open fire.

Iella mandate changed abruptly to self defense. She cursed under her breath at the disruption before turning and employing her lightsaber toward the armed guards of the Hutt.

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
Now her master was moving, the padawan watched Saki charge to subdue more before coming out near the hutts section. [member="Iella E'ron"] was in there the leader of the silver order and that was an honor to see. She was watching Master Saki brush off and get the other guards to back away as they were going inside and with a clenching of Saki's fist she watched her preparing to help Iella in the fight against the hutts guards, skullthumper resting for a moment but she knew Saki could swing that at a moments notice and wouldn't need her saber. "Hey E'ron you using regular negotiations or aggressive negotiations?"

[member="Saki"]

Iella extended her hand and through the force, she lifted some tables off the ground, she sent them flying toward two of the Hutts guards. The move effective enough to take the out for now.

"Turned aggressive it seems", she said quickly. Her saber twisting to deflect a series of bolts on target for her head.

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
The padawan activated her saber as Saki was moving now the weight spinning and with a jump flying to to strike a guard in the chest. He went into a wall and she brought it back into a swing as it spun around her body and lashed out to bolo around another guards throat before sending him into another guards. Saki spoke with a small smirk. "Well then looks like it was a good thing I came in we can make sure things are handled and the people are safe." The Padawan watched Saki now as she dropped the weight and waded in grabbing a guard before punching him in the kidney and throwing him to the ground.

[member="Iella E'ron"]

[member="Saki"]

Iella smirked. "Oh I can handle myself Saki", she said moving closer to the guards.. she extinguished her light saber and placed it back on her hip. Then rolled up her sleeves in front of one of the guards. But a punch did not fly but her feet right between his legs, the man buckled over. Iella using her force empowered legs, brought her knee up to his face in a sharp move. The bones of his nose breaking on impact. And he fell to the floor.

"I count ... four", she said to her.

[member="Iella E'ron"]

The padawan watching Saki laugh at the other masters display and gave a nod of her head to it, the paid moving. "Yeah well it isn't often we get to let loose, I know you've been busy making the world safe for everyone. We need to stick together and keep you safe, your a heart and will for the order." Then Saki grabbed a man and threw him across the room into a window. "Besides you and the others let me vent and offer advice compared to others boss lady." The Padawan deflected a blaster bolt back at one fot he guards and disabled him while she saw the two masters doing what they did, protecting and fighting.
