Walking through the area to scout had proven useful, instead of rushing on ahead and endangering her men Matsu stood now looking over a small cliff while she focused on the force. Pushing it to expand her senses and drive, letting it clear her mind and move her where she needed to go. Time was not as important as doing this the right way so things didn't get out of hand and she was moving down the cliff wall and jumped off wrapping the force to cushion her fall while pulling out her training saber. A hand rising up and speaking while looking for the one not like the others, who wanted to be here and force the others into combat. "I'll fight you." Her face remaining blank as she held the blade and her eyes locked on him.

Connor stood by [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] and [member="Shalla Horizonis"] when he caught the figure of [member="Matsu Ike"] moving towards the cliff face and then, suddenly, she propelled herself over the edge.

"What are you doing...!" Connor shouted, almost to himself as he ran forward, jumping through a bellowing cloud of black smoke from a downed transport ship.

He ran to the cliff edge and slowed himself, taking it carefully as not to go over, but peering over the edge. There, Matsu was on the ground below, and the glow of her training saber was in hand.

Looking back to the others, and then back to Matsu below, Connor was rooted and was torn what to do. It seemed Matsu needed to prove herself, and this was that moment.

"Yes, you can vent, however, I do think you need to learn more restraint now you are master", she said using the force to pick up one of the guards and threw him out the window after Saki's. "Five", she said.

"Your methods on Teta somewhat questionable, with Master comes responsibilities and one of them is to lead by example. Which means sometimes you need to stay for arm", she said as she king hit another guard. However, Iella did not sense the next move from the guard behind her and her face was hit by a powerful blow knocking her head sideways. Her lips split and blood ran down her chin. She turned to face the assailant her face now etched in anger. She walked directly to the woman, who began her next strike, Iella blocked the strike with her arm and punched the woman in the gut.

"My methods on Teta saved lives and drew the sith to dogpile me." Saki was still moving and rushed in front of the padawan who was moving and had gotten clipped in the hand with a blaster bolt. Her hand dropping the saber and taking cover behind a pillar. She watched the two masters working while Saki spoke more using her force enhanced strength to bring a chunk of stone between her and another shot. "My example if they chose to follow it has always been the same since fighting on Kashyyyk or Metalorn." She grunted and threw the chunk. "Might for right and.." She jumped up bringing a stone chunk to her hand and throwing it. "Right for right." The padawan was watching and knew the lessons well in it. Doing what is right because your strong enough to do it and doing what is right because it is right, she had seen and known Saki to not care about leading, not wanting it because she couldn't protect everyone.

Iella smiled as the woman fell to the floor, she stood up and stretched her back, as she wiped away some of the blood from her chin. "Your code, is good enough. However, you are young Saki and still with much to learn. As you grow older, you will one day question your 'code' .. you would not be a fit Master if you did not. The road to enlightenment is only beginning for you. Now, as Master it begins. I know you have experienced much in the wider galaxy, but so have I and one day you will come to realise you know nothing. It will be then that you will truly begin to be Master". What a place to be having this discussion? Well the location is of no matter she supposed. Iella hoped one day Saki would grow more and become that great Jedi she is wanting to be.

Iella looked around and saw they had dispatched the guards. She turned not really expecting to find the Hutt remaining and so she was right. "Now lets go find this slime ball". Iella straightened her attire and moved toward the corridor. Sensing the Hutt moving toward the back of the establishment.

The padawan came out to look at Saki and Iella having a casual conversation in the middle or end of a fightt. Her master speaking while she rechecked her gloves and looked towards the hutt throwing another guard to the ground and punching him in the chin. "Stay down." Saki said it as the padawan came closer and heard her less grumbling in disagreement and more agreeing under her breath with Iella. She spoke turning to the hutt's location or lack there of. "When that day comes I look forward to it but Master E'ron in this war I am prepared to give everything for the people including my life if it means they have chance to survive and protect the galaxy. If the time comes I will be able to reflect, if it comes that a warrior is no longer needed. I will have to face the truth." The padawan could see that Saki kept a small smirk on her face though. "But until then lets go and punch a hutt, I want to see if I can lift a slug."

Jeela felt a nudge in the a Force, urging her forward as it did Stephen it led her to Voss, traveling across half the galaxy to arrive there only to walk for three days to arrive to at the temple. Now, in that same fashion, she bowed quickly to Master Kawakami with a hasty explanation of being led by the Force, she hurried forward, crouching low to avoid any incoming blaster bolts that might so past. She had already taken one in the leg in the past, and she had no desire to take another one.

She stopped at a cloff's edge and peered down. Her stomach dropped. That was quite a height. Especially to jump down as it seemed [member="Matsu Ike"] had just done. She took a deep breath and flung herself over the edge, closing her eyes to rely more fully upon the Force. Wind rushed past her face as she fell, sending her hair whipping around her. She slowed herself with the Force, and then landed, knees bent to absorb the impact. She opened her eyes and grabbed her lightsaber hilt and activated, sending the rich green blade crackling forth.

Matsu felt Jeela and heard Connor, she was more wondering what he meant as she held her hands on the blade and moved. The Hutts had brow beaten the people here into fighting against the silver jedi, these ones dind't want to fight but the one who could hurt them needed to be subdued first as her eyes for a moment flicked to Jeela with her green blade. Her blade moving to defend when he fired a shot and Matsu let the force loose moving her muscles and then the blade. Guiding it towards the shot to hit him in the hand while her sabers blade came around to knock his other hand. The man backed away blocking with his shot hand and grabbing a knife as he slashed and she felt it slide across the chest. Her outfit blocking none of the vibroblade and the warmth of blood trickling before she slashed again.

Looking over to [member="Connor Harrison"] giving him a short nod but that was about it. After all she knew they need to push on for the fact that they had started to turn the tide into their favor. Finding herself wanting to push on but then stop. Watching the lady with the dark hair like herself go downwards. That was just plain nuts wasn't it. running up to the edge of the cliff herself to see if she was okay.

That one a little nuts I wish I had a bit of her skills.

"Indeed Saki, all Jedi should be prepared to lay down their lives for others in order to protect", she said in agreement.

Iella came to a door, which naturally was locked. The Hutt was not behind it however, but the means in which to follow him was. The door made of metal stood between Saki and Iella and the Hutt. Iella wasted no time, and ignited her saber once more, and proceeded to cut their way through. Slag oozed to the floor burning a hole where it fall and sending up toxic spirals of smoke. Once the hole was cut, Iella pushed the metal 'doorway' through with brut force into the other room. No need for stealth.

"After you Saki", she said "Watch your front".

The padawan looked at Saki as she moved towards the door and headed through the cut door bending the metal while she kept walking forward an the padawan clutched her blade almost trembling with it. She was scared but the hand on her back as Saki spoke. "Don't worry, you might be young but believe me when I tell you there are worse things out there and about." She kept moving forward and stood at the ready next to Iella while moving about with her knuckle blades ejected. She was watching what was there and searching with flicks ofher head back and forth for signs of the hutt.

Jeela circled opposite of [member="Matsu Ike"], blade held at the ready, watching the fight, sensing the reluctance in the others around her. She took a deep breath and deactivated her blade, stepping towards the others while keeping some of her attention focused on the one Matsu was fighting. She spoke calmly, but assuredly, with gentle confidence.

"We are not your enemies. We are here to help you and your people who have had Hutt authority forced upon you against your will, and then force you into fighting for them. Like the man behind me." She indicated Matsu's opponent with her lightsaber hilt. "Help us, if you will, so that you may free yourselves from the shackles that bind you." Her voice rose in passion and zeal. "So that you might once more live lives of peace and joy. Will you help us?" She waved her arm to encompass them all, "The futures of your lives, your homes, and your families all rest on your shoulders!" She stopped for a moment, and then spoke more quietly, "What will be your decision?"

The chaos had settled for now. Smoke dissipated around him, revealing the many dead and injured caused by this conflict. While he did not question the necessity for this offensive, as he had full confidence that [member="Iella E'ron"] and the others would not cause such suffering unless there were no other options, the loss of life was something he would never regard as meaningful or that it served a purpose. Around him the rangers began to dig in and secure the area, rest up and await further orders. The life of a soldier was tumultuous, and resting whenever possible or given a chance to do so plays a big part of it. Some tended to their own or someone else's injuries, huddled together in sporadic groups most likely consisting of what squadmates remained alive. Looking around for his own squad, the counted the ones he could see. All were still among the living, not counting some wounds that would heal in time. Everyone seemed more or less okay, except for the fact that they were one man short. Someone was missing.

He began searching, scanning his surroundings with mournful gaze as he found the missing trooper. The mirialan girl, Kaith, did not move as she lay upon the ground, eyes wide-open. He dropped to his knees beside her lifeless body, head bowed in prayer. He then picked her up and held her in his arms, cradling her against his chest and caressing her hair, feeling her still-warm skin against his. His skills in healing would not bring her back, nor through medicine or the Force. She was gone and would not come back. She gave her life for him. What was going on around him did not matter anymore, as he was sat mourning yet another casualty of war. Story of his life, it seemed.

As all the Rangers settled into cover nearer to the enemy things got eerily calm giving Vladimir time to realize how much exhaustion he was feeling, up until this point he had been so focused on staying alive and keeping his fellow Rangers the same that he hadn’t even realized he had been hit. He looked down at blood dripping down the side of the armor on his leg, he felt a warm feeling coming from his abdomen an apparent pool of blood. Gesturing one of his remaining squad mates to his side he took off his helmet he wouldn’t be leading this battle any further, someone else could bear the burden. For now the mercenaries were too focused on saving their own hides and retreating to attack giving every Ranger the time to breathe and take stock.

With the assistance of his squad mate the Hapan man peeled the armor off his upper body gingerly wincing with every movement. His squad stayed back, holding the position in case of counter attack as Vladimir peeled back the armorweave layer, he was hit in the side with a slug, and apparently someone had a small gap in his exterior armor with a lucky shot. He groaned as the applied pressure to the wound calling for a medic or some other form of assistance to deal with the potentially fatal wound he would have to be evaced soon.

Sweat laced her body, as the scorching Vaynai sun radiated heat down onto the battle ensuing between Jedi and Hutt. Blaster fire erupted behind her, as Rasu clambered across the shoreline, kicking up sand as the ground shook. What had seemed to be a strategic advantage, had now turned into a deadly weapon, with the hover craft now tracking and teasing the Shi'ido Jedi like a predator might play with their prey. With no time or the chance to take a moment to rest, Rasu continued in her desperate escape, searching for an opportunity to attack or evade her pursuers, all the while keeping her senses locked onto young [member="Gurbot Luk"] and [member="Marek S'hadar"].

All thought of the overall battle was forgotten, as Rasu leaped onto a sloping boulder, nimbly leaping from the edge of the slab of stone, as she turned to evade a red-hot laser bolt, searing heat passing over her arm as she narrowly avoided the beam. As the bolt collided with another boulder, Rasu made her move, sinking deep into the force as she stretched out to the boulders and rocks the littered the edge of the beach. Closing her eyes in concentration, Rasu placed her trust in the force, as she put aside her fear of the energy weapons that were surely charging up for another attack, this time finding their target motionless. Opening both arms, Rasu motioned them towards her attacker, feeling a slight breeze before a wave of heat passed over her body. Her eyes fluttered open to find the dented, smoking remains of the vehicle crash into the sand metres away. Erecting a barrier, Rasu protected herself from the few shards that were torn off in the wreckage, but for the most part she remained unharmed, having attained only a few scrapes and bruises from her recent chase.

However her reprieve would remain brief, as nearby explosions and shrieks caught her attention, not to mention the pain that emanated from her Force connection, as lives were wiped clean from the universal field. Turning to face the chaos, Rasu returned to her original pace, racing to the aid of what forces Gurbot had found on the planet. Hope was not lost yet.

Following into the room, Iella could sense the Hutt not far. Even though the room looked to be a dead end there must be a exit. Evidence on the floor indicated so, although it was almost impossible to tell as the slime tracks lay everywhere. However, there seemed to be an concentration of the goop on the floor toward the end of the large room. Iella walked toward it looking on the surface of the floor for any signs of a door.

She looked to Saki for help, "There must be an exit in the floor", but there is no sign of joins or cracks. She eyes began to scan for a control panel and found nothing. Iella let out a sign of frustration, she did not wish for the Hutt to get away and not face justice.

Iella raised her arm and press a button on her communications giving the signal for the Medical Corps to move in and take care of the injured. They would find two on the street and several in the main room of the entertainment hall. "They are armed, be careful .. arrest on sight". She gave the order for the Rangers that escorted the Med Corps.

She turned back to Saki hope the Master Jedi had found something.

Looking down from high above in orbit on the once picturesque planet below as the battle between the rest of the Order of the Silver Jedi and the Hutt’s raged far below Siather pushed aside the emotions that were welling up. The pain of the people below was not lost on the Gand but he was too focused on the battle raging between the vessels in orbit to focus on that battle right now. The Hutts hadn’t put up much of a fight at first but they had quickly called in reinforcements in an effort to push the Silver Jedi out of the system. The forces were pretty evenly matched as both fleets were kind of a ragtag selection of ships.

Things had been relatively quiet up in orbit but the Gand Jedi had sensed he would be needed up here so he hadn’t joined the rest of the Jedi on the surface. He had learned to trust his senses they so often led him exactly where he needed to be and right now that was on the bridge of an old Corellian Corvette aptly named Second Chance. The ship’s crew hustled around the bridge as alarms blared, they had just traded blows with a larger Hutt ship and had suffered the consequences though they had managed to draw the Hutt frigate into their own lines and out of position for their own forces to be quickly disabled leaving it with only minimum life support systems, enough to keep the crew of the enemy ship alive but ineffective for the rest of the fight.

Looking out on the battle raging in space as fighters swarmed around each other and larger ships traded blows the Jedi padawan surveyed the area for an opening, he let the force guide him as his eyes scanned a strategic map displaying the situation to his left. The force told him the enemy line was opening along the right flank and his aged vessel was in the perfect position to press in on the mercenary command ship. If the enemy fighter swarm could be thinned then their bombers would be able to get in close enough to disable the larger mercenary command ship. Siather was not in command of this vessel but he could make suggestions to the Ranger who was.

“Captain, this one believes an opportunity exists here.” The Gand indicated the map. “Gand suggests you get into that sector before the enemy closes the gap. This one believes that if you punched a hole in the enemy fighter swarm here that the rest of the fleet should be able to flank in with bombers and disable the enemy command ship."

With a nod the Captain started giving orders, he didn’t question the instincts of any Jedi, even if this one was only a padawan. “Get us in there Lieutenant, concentrate fire on anything freighter or smaller, let’s punch a hole in their swarm for our boys in the fighters and bombers.”

Watching as his plan was put into motion a wave of sadness flooded up from the surface, the sensation of many lives being lost rapidly told him the tide was turning down below them. He sensed it was in favour of the Silver Jedi forces but Siather did not relish the deaths of so many even if they were essentially servants of evil. He pressed away the emotions as the Second Chance closed on an enemy swarm of fighters and freighters. The ship began to rock as blasts from the smaller vessels scored hits all over the shields but the little CR-92a Corvette pressed on undeterred as it returned fire blasting back, aiming to disable enemy fighters but not risking the lives of those aboard their own ship if destruction was necessary. The space around the corvette started to clear as it blew a hole in the enemy fighter swarm that had been defending the command ship.

The command ship started firing on the smaller corvette they would not be able to last long against that kind of barrage but fortunately they would not have to. The fleet commander had seen what was happening and at the urging of the Captain of the Second Chance had allocated an appropriate number of fighters and bombers to join the surge forward. The fighters splayed outwards to provide cover for the bombers as they started a run on the larger ship. The old corvette began firing its payload of missiles as the bombers rocketed past the corvette and unloaded their own payloads as the Second Chance started to swing around and roll to present a better shield to the larger vessel. The missiles from the bombers and the corvette breached the hull of the mercenary command vessel exploding near the bridge, destroying the command section entirely. The large vessel started to list as control over the vessel was lost. The larger vessel continued to fire but more wildly as the larger vessel started to plunge into the atmosphere of the planet as apparently no one on the other vessel was working to re-establish control over the vessel from some sort of secondary command post.

If the cruiser was allowed to continue its slow arc down towards the surface it would present a big threat to those who had already suffered enough on the surface. The Gand couldn’t allow the Hutts to inflict that much more pain, not even to the mercenaries. “Captain, we mustn’t let them die like that, this one will take the pilot position, get the tractor beam ready.”

Stepping forward quickly the Gand took the quickly unoccupied primary pilot’s position at the front of the bridge. He let the force guide his hands as he started to accelerate hard down towards the cruiser that was starting to crumble into the atmosphere of the planet below. The distance closed quickly and the Captain locked the tractor beams onto the larger vessel. Gravity was now dragging both vessels down, and there wasn’t enough engine power to bring them out of their dive, at least not with reversing the engines. Siather pressed the corvette up just slightly slowly diverting the larger cruiser, there was enough power in the aged corvette that the Second Chance could bring the ailing cruiser into an angle so shallow that it ended up bouncing off the atmosphere back into a stable orbit.

As the corvette limped back into orbit releasing its target to its own stable orbit it was apparent the Silver Jedi were winning on this front as well, the mercenaries were retreating. This battle was a resounding victory for all involved, if Siather had lungs he would be breathing a heavy sigh of relief.

Matsu looked at the man as Jeela was talking off to the side to the people and her eyes turned back to him. Letting a small smirk play on her face as she moved feinting forward and letting him make the move, she slashed clipping his hand and then bringing her hands along until it was being held over his chest. She focused on the force letting the energies push through her limbs and out to stun him, seize his muscles as he fell over and she held the blade over his stomach. Somewhere she couldn't kill him if he moved and got stabbed easily. "Stay down." She wasn't showing anger as the blade hummed and she turned to look at Jeela. They had gotten and taken care of their area. Now it was up to the rest of the people.

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
[member="Iella E'ron"]

The padawan watched Saki study the floor... it was less graceful they hadn't found anything to open it but that wouldn't stop the jedi master as she spoke. "Ah yeah I got something." The padawan watched Saki leap up once and hit the ground closing her eyes while she listened, felt it and then charged. Her body moving and coming down as the sound of metal bending and fists striking came. The padawan watched her hand go through the floor and then scraping as she started lifting a floor section curling it outwards. "Come on boss."

Her vision burned. Her mind gave in to the pain. Each step was a struggle, but still the Jedi pushed on, latching onto the presence of the lone Dellatian that awaited her. The past few hours spent on the resort-like planet had left the Shi'ido drained and exhausted, failing to find the energy needed to continue on her journey. Rasu's arms now drooped beside her, as her legs shuffled along the hard surface, surprised that her body had not buckled and collapsed. Honestly the figure that now trundled across the small island, was unbecoming of a Jedi Master, yet here she was, a rare sight indeed.

Her mind had been opened long ago, with the woman no longer being able to shut herself off from the chaos that now enveloped the world. Pain, agony and suffering filled the Shi'ido's brain, and soul, bonding with her until she became a conduit of the planets negativity. The suffering that she had been protected from for so long, now rushed upon her like a raging river, and she was completely helpless, powerless to stop or shield herself. Rasu could not help but laugh at her current predicament, there was nothing left but to be cheerful. How foolish she must look, how the mighty have fallen.

She smiled. A weak, almost heart-breaking smile, before staggering. Immediately her heart leaped in panic, preparing herself for the collision, however it never came. Her body had yet to fail her. Embedding herself with steely resolve, Rasu continued onwards, closing in on the location of the young Dellatian until finally at last, his lanky form came into view. Stretching out towards him with her emerald palm, she called out his name, however found her voice dry and raspy, lacking the strength and volume to carry her words to the Padawan. Instead, she stretched out through the Force, brushing past the beings consciousness with her own, making [member="Gurbot Luk"] aware of her presence, before she finally welcomed the growing darkness, and gave into her exhaustion. Slowly but surely she slipped out of consciousness.
