Rule of Two

//To Senator Flavian; Senator Varta.
On the contrary, Senator, I harbor no ill feelings for you. Sometimes in business, not all your investments come out on top. It was a shame what happened to Imperial Arms Incorporated, but the past is the past and there is nothing we can do about that now. As we communicate, it would seem that our competition has launched a substantial bid for the company. I am willing to increase my proposed sum to 30,000,000cr, if the Republic is ready to increase their own proposed sums to match or surpass our competition.
I will pass on what I know about Particia Susan Garter, CEO of Spaarti Creations. She is invested in rare and hard to get resources, such as Cortosis or Beskar ores. But it doesn't stop their with metals. She is interested in Force artifacts, weaponry, contracts -- anything that could be sold on for profit or to be used for her own agenda, which seems to be entirely based around profit.
Is it possible that the Republic could add something else to their bids, other than credits? This would go a long way to secure the company.

//To Mr Solomon.
On the contrary, Mr Solomon, I am very interested in doing business with you. I find you to be a highly intelligent, wise and powerful man that I would like to call friend, should you allow it. The bid that you have made for Spaarti Creations is substantial, showcasing all the aforementioned attributes. It is impressive.
The 155m sum that you have pulled together would make my offer of 40m seem unnecessary at this point. I know Miss Garter well, as she is a close associate of mine and she is likely to have taken a strong leaning towards your bid, given the items you have put forward on top of the credit total. My interest in Spaarti Creations laid in the cloning technology. I do not need to be a shareholder to have access to the Spaarti cloning technology, if the owners of the corporation would allow me the access.
With all this in mind, I have 40m credits to spend on this venture and it is available for use. Can we negotiate a deal between our two parties?
