The last bid was over the limit, and Galven was a respectable man. But his bid was already so high. If in fact it was credits that Miss Blonde wished for, Galven could offer what his company held. As an option, he would bid no more because he was respectful to the rules, but offer an additional sum if she wishes.

Nuzzling her husband’s cheek, a series of new boops came in. Ahh, the bidding was nearing an end. Amusement boomed within her green eyes, then with a knowing grin, she turned over to the elder Tetan.

Gently massaging his shoulder, she murmured against his skin.

“Do you think Connolly would be interested in stocks of BlasTech Industries?” Now that was a notion, stocks in BlasTech Industries. The name went a long way. More so if it was given at an equal rate….

A kiss set again, and her eyebrows rose. “... hmm… Lisette joined your bid.” That was surprising, and to be honest, a bit heartwarming.

Truth be told, Danger had yet to meet Alric’s stepdaughter. [member="Lisette Kuhn"] was an enigma and typically kept to herself.

Perhaps that should change.

Auction winners are Republic senators [member="Geral Varta"] and whosever else was supporting their bid. I'm assuming [member="Caius Flavian"] and [member="Gael bar Ammon"]

My reasoning in deciding this is as such. [member="Galven Solomon"] while your bid is terribly impressive and believe I would of wanted it, it's simply too much. I can't in good conscious take all that stuff from you and not feel bad about it.

As for the Danger and Kuhn party with [member="Taeli Raaf"] and everyone else throwing in bids. As much as I love you guys republic ships especially a Watts class Valen event price are worth more to my character than star destroyers I can't use due to OOC rules. Plus danger and her chesticles kind of own the entire galaxy anyways so something tells me she'll sleep ok tonight on her pile of money and crushed dreams of mom and pop store owners.

"Well, dear. It appears such musings are for naught." Alric finally said as he managed to drag himself away from the distraction of rounded curves and peer towards the screen once more.

The announcement of the auctions winners had been made, and the results weren't really all that surprising for the aged Titan. Miss Raaf and the others had tried their best to support him, but once the bidding had gone to such heights Alric had known that it would be for nothing. He had only wanted Spaarti for the technological assets, and in truth he had intended to gut the company for just that. It was akin to what he had done nearly three decades ago with Kuhn Consolidated. Corporate butchery. It was a good way to make money, though a bad way to make friends.

His eyes wandered over towards the support he'd received in the last ditch effort of his step-daughter.

Danger had mentioned it earlier too, and it did slightly warm the heart. He smiled, and slowly reached over to tap the keys of his holo-terminal.

"Maybe we should invite her for a visit." He had done so many times before, though the invitation had always been declined. "Perhaps she'd come this time."

"Reckon we should." Danger told her husband, nuzzling him with the tip of her nose. "How has she'd been with the girls?" That was the question. Truth be told she was curious about that. Alric had asked her to look after the twins when he disappeared, but she hadn't really known just what was the stance between Silara's firstborn and the Kuhn's. She had taken his name, so that meant something. But what? Well it remained to be seen.

"Maybe a little get together? We could tell them about the preserve. With Rose wandering around she might be interested and toss in her two credits worth on what interesting critters there are." It was about trying their best to make them all feel included. Step by step.

It was all they could do. The auction was forgotten, and with a loving smile, Danger coaxed one Alric Kuhn into the joys of a new day.

It appeared her aid was for naught, and with the notification of the winning bid came a slight feeling of disappointment. But with the anonymous window slipping away as the auction ended, so returned her apathetic attitude. She shrugged, turned away, and shut down the holoterminal to get back to work.

Martika felt relief at the announcement of the Republic's acquisition of Spaarti Creations, quickly contacting the seller to thank her for hosting. Afterward, he passed on the job of finalizing the transaction details to his aide while he reached the rest of the Appropriations Committee to disclose the acquisition.
