[member="Darth Vornskr"] Oh lord.

I mean...fine, he worked in the prequels and then tied up with the Force Ghost in 'ROTJ' but to bring him back for something over 30 years later? There's no need is there? Especially as Darth Vader or anything - Force Ghost POSSIBLY, but Vader? No way, he's gone. Don't bring Vader back!

Also, new chat with Benicio Del Toro - 100% in for 'EpVIII':

It's been heavily rumored - speculation of resurrecting Anakin Skywalker, so many different things.

I believe it probably will be a flashback of sorts - maybe even flow walking.

Dash Star's theory is interesting.

We know that Kylo Ren is obsessed with Darth Vader, going so far to try and acquire his Jedi lightsaber and model his appearance and mannerisms after him.

Perhaps the rest of the Knights of Ren are in the same boat?

Perhaps they're trying to gather some of Vader's DNA to recreate the idol that they've molded their entire purpose around?

And that's why Kylo is trying to get Anakin's lightsaber, and they've gotten his mask and all that.

Maybe in Episode 7 they don't succeed in doing so, but in Episode 8 they find a way?

TBH I'd be very interested to see how that'd play out.

It's interesting to think about for sure but I worry it would garner negative views on the whole as if a new trilogy can't let Vader be...they have to bring him back as if he's the only villain/interesting character linking what will be 9 episodes over 50+ years of story from 'TPM' to 'Ep IX'.

As I say, the idea is interesting to play with on screen and I'd like it, but to actually bring him back...hm I dunno. He's had his 6 episode development and made a legacy on that. Let's leave him in there now. Force Ghost of Anakin I'll take.

I don't foresee him being a main character, but maybe like they manage to clone him and create a Vader without the suit that the heroes have to beat.

Just a quick cameo and fight, nothing too major hopefully.

If this turns out to be true.

Ah, Clone Vader would be interesting. Yeah, a strange hybrid Dark Sider that the Knights of Ren try to create. Like the Clone Emperor or something. Hmm.

And I wonder if Del Toro will be replacing Kylo, Hux or Phasma as a new villain. Betting it's Phasma... :p

I'm picturing a Hayden Christensen appearance as something like the Arnold Schwarzenneger cameo in Terminator Salvation. If he gets cloned, it sounds like he might be more of a plot device than an actual main character. The clone would make an appearance, maybe gestating in some kind of chamber or something, maybe fighting... but probably having few if any lines.

At least that's how Im picturing it.

Christmas didn't hurt 'The Force Awakens', and now 'Episode VIII' has ben pushed back from May to December 2017.

Good idea? Bad idea?

I think it's a good one to corner the end of the year trade, BUT it means going up against 'Avatar 2'...which I don't see as a threat as that hype train has well and truly left the station after the mediocre reflection from the first.

I figure they want them spaced 2 years apart, and TFA was supposed to be released back in May 2015. This keeps the gap 2 years and allows them the time they need.

Fair enough.

Avatar 2...has anyone really thought much about that original film since 2010?
