I also felt that pivotal duel we've all been waiting for between Vader and Ahsoka was... not as hair tingling as I desired. I really wanted it, I tried to force it but like... I just don't know.

I need some time to think on this, what about you guys?

I'm actually glad he survived.

I think it would've been a waste to just waste him on one episode.

Edit: Besides, he totally wiped the floor with those Inquisitors.

Still though, the fact that he has been able to survive so much for so long has completely altered his character into something different, as Val said. The way Kanan disposed of him was classy and heroic, if anywhere it should have ended, I would prefered it there. :/

I welcome the character change to Maul, they added more depth to what otherwise was a brute that hardly spoke.

Then make a new character. Maul's brother was plenty good enough for that.

Maul was a brute and an enforcer for Palpatine who got cut in half and fell down a reactor core. Job done.

It’d be like bringing ‘Yoda’ back for Episode 8…but taking away his odd talking style…and making him a murderous lunatic.

And then after he survived he became consumed with vengeance and began building his power base to gain favor with Sidious, all of which were enjoyable episodes.

And how did he survive and make his way off Naboo, not to be heard from for 10 years?

It's flimsy storytelling akin to if Mace Windu, aged 90, suddenly appeared in Episode 8.

"I thought you got electrocuted and fell off a skyscraper?"
"I got better, but returned to the shadows for 50 years."

He grabbed an air vent as he fell, and from there he managed to collapse into a trash container and from there he was indirectly dumped on Lotho Minor.

It seems extremely cut-and-dry to me, so I don't know what part you're having difficulty comprehending.

I don't normally watch Rebels (watched every episode of CW though) but, this was pretty awesome. Might have hooked me on the series.
