Alright so, figured i'd throw this out there because i'm curious. Frankly, i've been hearing a lot of stuff about SWCW having quite a bit of static and ppl disliking it. Not from Chaos, but on other sites i've lurked on and stalked. I was wondering what you guys think. Do you all like the series? Do you have problems with it?


For someone like me, who has never seen the actual movies (Stupid i know), this series helps me greatly. Cause i won't lie, every single thing you see me post in the factory, every idea i have, and most story arcs are inspired from this series right here. If it wasn't for clone wars i'd be one of those plebs wandering around like 'Whats a Mandolorian?'


Truth is, i love this series. Like seriously, i watch it almost faithfully. The story is awesome and easy to follow, action is damn there flawless for a show of it's caliber. It's violent, which i find funny cause it was aired on Cartoon Network. And the character arcs are so well done that i actually 'care' about the characters.


Boba Fett? Pfffft. Cad Bane all the way son. Dooku? I'm more of a Grievous fan myself.


In all honesty though, the show is really well done. I've played Force Unleashed, Battlefront, Knights of the Old Republic, and all the others but this show remains my favorite piece of canon material. (And Force Unleashed as cool as fak).




So how do you all feel about the show?

Let me say this as a simple fan of the Legends continuity and as someone who has been able to read most of the Legends material.

This show is absolute garbage when compared to the stories in the EU. This show is filled with horrible plotlines that often drop off and end nowhere. Screw with many characters and extremely nerfed the character of Grievous. Grievous in the EU and the original Clone wars cartoon was a threat to be reckoned with and was nothing short of deadly. In the cartoon they lowered him to some mustache twirling villain as George Lucas wanted him to be but also nerfed him so he could have fights with the horrible character that is Ahsoka Tano. Don't even get me started on the whole Darth Maul lived, and Savage Opress storyline as it was absolutely horrible and they did nothing with it. Let's not forget messing up some of the more memorable characters like Quinlan Vos, Aurra Sing, Boba Fett. I can go on literally all day with this and can point out numerous flaws in this show.

The Legends Continuity wasn't perfect but it was hella better than the garbage that's being released now. No offense to any that like it of course. To each their own.

I really don't know how an actual Star Wars fan can dislike it. Considering there was no sight of a movie series when it was airing until the very end, it was honestly the best thing fans could get. It was very entertaining, too, with great almost episodic arcs.

The biggest thing I could see people complaining about is how the series disregarded parts of the EU before its time. Yet it's not like those previous stories disappear, and to trade the relevance of the EU for 6* seasons of a Star Wars TV show is perfectly fine.

Just go watch all the movies. IT shouldn't be to hard to find them. I'm sure they're on netflix or something.

The animated series was overall sucktacular. The retcons, the ooga booga Dathomirian bullshit....ungh. Savage Opress was incredibly one dimensional and existed as a device to further Maul. Ventress is so irritating and little better than Savage. They took Maul himself and basically made him a souped-up Ventress with his hateful obsession with Obi-Wan.

Then there is Ashoka, and I have to ask (rhetorically), why. She was just a spunky sidekick added for kids. Grievous gets turned into a bumbling moron and is no longer scary. Then there's the whole dumping Maul on a trash heap for ten years and conveniently he's somehow alive with cyborg spider legs. Boom, he's alive....no shut up with your questions of how.
