I acknowledged her response with a nod and a smile. "But of course My Lady. You know this...I know this..The public will know only this...I will always be close for protection and as a political ally as well..if need be..As far as our paths...Not yet...Is alright by me...Now then...I must shower up and get ready for an appointment with an old friend...But...Shall we? Another time perhaps?" I asked as I winked to her with a smile. My heart was genuine..and I know she'd always be by my side as an ally. And one day...more.

Lori removed her hand from his chest and gave him a little smile and nod of her own. Var-Sulis understood what she had meant. Not only that, but he accepted it. They would continue on as they had been, doing their jobs and tasks that were layed out before them. And perhaps having more sparring matches here and there.

"Thank you. Sometimes I prefer battle to politics. At least in battle enemies are more easily spotted. Having someone there to have my back for both is very much appreciated." She gave him a small smile as she took a step back to give them some space. "Yes, we'll have a rematch sometime soon. We'll see if you can break my winning streak."
