"Aris! Wake up, we're going soon!" Valery smirked a little after calling out to him from downstairs. He was likely already up, had his teeth brushed, his hair done and Seszil ready. There was no way he'd miss out on a training day with Mom, and today wasn't just any training day either. They were going to work more on his skills with Seszil, but she had promised him that he'd be helping her too.

She could still picture his excited little smile when she had offered it to him.

Vera had been a little bit jealous about it, but she was promised her own day with Mom soon, and would spend today working on her runes with dad. So all in all, the Nobles had plenty of fun lined up for today.

"I'm going to take Aris off-world for our training, love," she told Kahlil with a warm smile. "But we'll be back home in time for dinner." She stepped closer and pressed a quick, gentle kiss against his lips.

"Have fun with Vera and the little ones."

"Take all the time you need. He might not admit it, but he's been very excited for this trip. Even an extra day will make him all that much happier." Kahlil chuckled a little, returning the kiss to Valery for just a brief moment. Aris would be downstairs at any moment now. He'd been excited, even if he didn't outwardly show it. Kahlil was just good at learning how best to read such emotions.

Like father like son, really.

Aris appeared in the room shortly after, all dressed up in his Jedi gear with Seszil floating beside him. For the briefest moment it'd almost look like he was grinning. Only for a moment before it was the calm smile that mirrored his father's. "I'm ready! When do we leave?"

"Oh I know. I've learned to understand those little smiles too, you know." She chuckled and briefly took his hand to gently squeeze it, "I've been married to you for over 10 years, after all." A wink and she turned around because of movement upstairs. Aris had been ready, she knew, but he was probably saying bye to Vera and the triplets for now. They were always curious whenever he'd go on trips alone with either his mother or father.

It only made sense they wanted to hear about it.

"...I may have also overheard him talking to Vera about it. He's very excited," Valery then added with a grin. "I'll take him for a bit longer, but I'll make that a surprise I reveal a bit later." She then watched him make his way downstairs, as ready as he always was, and she totally saw that little grin.

"We leave right away, sweetie. I haven't told you yet either, but we're going to New Cov," she said, but New Cov wasn't really all that new to him.

"...into the Jungle, where I used to train as a Padawan."

"I'm sure I'm still a little mysterious." Kahlil smirked rather smugly at that thought, but he didn't linger on such smugness for long. Instead he looked towards Aris, smiled faintly at just how excited he was. It felt like yesterday that he'd just gotten here, still figuring out how it was to be a person. Now? He was so eager to be a Jedi, to be like his parents. It really filled Kahlil with warmth.

Aris glanced between them both before focusing on Valery as she spoke. New Cov, the temple. That made sens- "The Jungle!?" If there was ever a time for his excitement to bubble over, it was then. He looked incredibly giddy, not even hiding his grin this time before he rushed over to take Valery's hand to drag her along.

"The Jungle! C'mon, let's go! We can't delay the jungle!"

Valery smirked and playfully rolled her eyes, "You are, in a good way." She winked and turned to their son with the same warmth within that Kahlil felt. They had both put a lot of effort into helping Aris adjust, and to make sure he could really feel like a kid. It had already paid off immensely, but right now, she could really see just how much.

She had never seen him this excited before. Or, at least, he had never shown it so openly.

"Mhmm, the big scary jungle with- Hey!" Valery laughed when he took her hand and started pulling her along with surprising strength for someone his age. "See you later, love! Bye!" She managed to call out to her husband over her shoulder before she was dragged outside through the door.

"Go on, get in the co-pilot seat and fire up the engines. Help me take off and get us there," she said with a smile before she followed after him at a slightly slower pace. "You'll actually be helping me a lot more while we're there. We're both going to be training this time."

Aris was practically vibrating in the seat until Valery had given him something to do. All at once the calm returned as he went about making sure the ship was ready for takeoff. He blinked after a moment though, flicking one last switch before looking to his mother again with a small tilt of his head. "I'm going to help you train? I don't.. think I can really do that much. Can I? I mean, yeah, I'm not very good at all of this."

Valery blinked while she looked at him excitedly vibrate in his chair. This day was almost like a dream — she had really wanted him to feel like he could just show his excitement, and he was doing it! To her, it meant that this day was really special to him, which made her feel like the coolest and most loved Mom in the Galaxy.

She felt just a little proud now.

"Well, I am going to teach you something very cool. No other Noble knows this little trick," Valery said with a smirk, not to brag, but just to spark his curiosity a little. Kids loved it when they were allowed to learn or do something that others couldn't. "But you're also my son, and there's something about you that lets you help me train very easily."

She reached over and booped his chest over his heart, "It's the bond that we share. Can you feel it?"

Wonderment returned in his eyes as he stared up at Valery. Something he could learn that the other's don't? Aris was incredibly excited at that prospect. Though he did blink again as she booped his chest. Looked down to where she had curiously. Could he feel what she was talking about? His brow furrowed a little. He didn't feel anything in particular, nothing that screamed bond as she suggested.

Then again he didn't feel much with the Force. Not like Vera could.

"I don't know. Not really?"

Valery didn't show it, but she felt a little shiver going through her body. The bond she had with her husband, as well as the powerful bonds she had to her children were important to her. She would always know if they were alright or not, Aris included. But the fact that he couldn't feel his parents and siblings the same way, was just...

"You know, Force bonds and all the strange abilities you might see can be interesting, but this is more important." she poked his heart again, then gently raised her hand up to cup his cheek. "The actual feelings you have for us, and the heart that makes you want to help people." She smiled and looked him in the eyes for a moment. "I can tell that your heart beats stronger than most, Aris." As motherly as she made it sound, she was being genuine.

He was an incredibly good kid, and she knew he'd become an amazing person and Jedi.

"Now, I did say you were going to learn something cool, right? One thing it lets you do is set things on fire with punches. Isn't that great?" She smirked a little and reached up to ruffle his hair.

Aris smiled none the less. Even if he didn't understand fully what she meant, he did feel quite proud of what Valery thought of him. And, of course, the idea of throwing flaming fists had him all excited all over again. He looked at his hands again, just imaging the power that that could give him. That'd be incredible! "That'd be awesome, mom! I'm not sure how that works exactly, but that sounds really really cool!"

Oh yeah, he loved that.

The way he looked at his hands, and that little sparkle in his eyes — he loved the idea of fire punching stuff. She just... had to make sure he'd use the skill for the right reasons. But Aris was quite responsible, so she felt good about it. "It is very cool, but also very dangerous if you don't use it right. That's why I'm teaching it to you though." She smiled warmly.

"Because I know you can handle it."

The ship had made the jump to Hyperspace and it wouldn't be too long before they arrived. But before they did, she wanted to talk about one more thing. "So, you haven't been in the jungles before. I want you to stay close to me, and don't provoke any animals or even plants you see."

"Everything on New Cov can be deadly." She said this to make him careful, but she had a feeling it'd just make him more excited about going, really.

Very cool, but very dangerous. Aris nodded once, but still looked rather excited by the idea. He could handle it. He trusted that much. Though, knowing about the dangers of the jungle was a bit more humbling. Even the plants were dangerous? He'd read a book on dangerous plantlife, but he didn't expect a Jedi Temple to be in such a place. Maybe that's why it was, then? To help protect the locals?

Yeah that made sense.

"Okay mom. I'll stay close."

"Good, then all will be okay. If you end up with any questions, by the way, feel free to ask. New Cov is an important planet to me, and with the Temple we have there, it's important to the Jedi too." So if he wanted to learn more about the planet, the Temple or anything, she'd be more than happy to teach. Even if she knew he was most excited about getting to go into the Jungle, and learning how to fire punch.

It made her feel like he had a bit of her in him too, somehow.

"Alright, here we are. Usually, people will say it's impossible to land in the jungle because it's too dense. But I know a spot," she said, and this time she was totally bragging. "I'm cool like that~" she smirked and without even putting coordinates into the computer, she took them to an area of the Jungle with a clearing just big enough to land.

"This uh, clearing here... I made it a long time ago. On accident."

"Okay." And Aris was going to ask. A lot of questions. There was a lot he wanted to know, and he certainly wasn't afraid to ask. Though, he did blink as Valery started to brag about knowing a spot to land in the jungle itself. At first there was more wonderment, then interest. And finally, confusion. "You made it by accident..? How? What did you do to make a clearing in a jungle like this? It looks like it'd be able to regrow anywhere short of a sheer cliff."

Valery loved the interest he showed in New Cov. Because while she was born on Keshi, New Cov had really been her home for most of her life. So for her own son to ask all those questions meant a lot, and it showed in the way she smiled. But those questions soon turned to something she had said about the clearing.

Oops.

"Welll, soooo... you know what Vera is like, right?" Valery said with a sheepish smile. "I was uh, difficult. Not that your sister is, but you know what I mean..."

Great start, Val.

"I set a good portion of the forest here on fire, and it struggled to recover. So we turned it into a little training area."

Aris just tilted his head curiously as Valery seemed to flounder over her words. Vera was difficult? Valery was once difficult? He didn't see it, but he wasn't going to argue with his mother as she seemed.. Embarrassed. That's the word. He smiled, reaching out to pat her shoulder. "You learned the importance of control." That was how he saw it. Then he hopped up, threw a fist in the air. "I want to see this training area! Let's go! Fire punch fire punch!"

And he was right back to being a kid, too giddy over the prospect of punching things with fire. What kid wouldn't be?

Valery blinked when he smiled and patted her on the shoulder. Was it in Kahlil's genes to be very reassuring like that? Either way, she smiled warmly in return and dipped her head, "It was an important moment that helped me learn, yes." Even after the incident, she was still quite a difficult Padawan. The scar is what really changed it all for good, but that was perhaps a story for another time.

Even though he felt mature enough to be told a less graphic version of it.

But he was also very much a kid, and it showed when his excitement over fire punches bubbled back to the surface. Valery snickered a little, then took over controls to bring them down into the clearing. Tall trees surrounded them, as well as a plethora of life in various shapes and sizes. He perhaps couldn't feel it all the way she could, but she knew that he was still aware of it.

"Go ahead, the ramp is down. Take a look around and I'll be right behind you."

"Okay!"

Aris practically jumped out of the ship as he ran his way towards the ramp and down it. Seszil joined him, naturally, floating close by now that he was making his way to walk the planet's surface. New Cov was dangerous, and there was little doubt Seszil wouldn't act his guardian here. "Are you prepared, young Master? There is quite the danger to be found here, even in a clearing made for training."

"Of course. Mom is here, and she believes in me. So.. I believe in myself."

As soon as Aris ran outside and spoke to Seszil, he'd found himself engulfed by nature. Birds were chirping all around him, the wind was blowing through the trees and vines, and occasionally there was some noise in the bushes, likely from other animals taking a closer look around. Luckily, the clearing did offer some shielding against being ambushed, at least. Any beast trying to cause trouble would have to expose itself to do so.

An intentional part of the design, unlike the fire punches that started it.

Valery then made her way out and whistled a tune he hadn't heard before. It wasn't some Keshian song, but it did spark something. Two small birds flew over, and with a small gesture, they settled on Aris' shoulders, "These birds communicate through song and melodies. I learned how to befriend them when I was about your age." She wasn't usually great with animals, especially not like Kahlil and Vera, but New Cov was her backyard.

"Now, I'm not going to make you wait forever, so I have a question. What is fire to you?"

"I've read about that. A lot of birds sing through specific melodies. Mostly to let each other know when it's safe, when there's danger, that sort of thing. Birds have their own little community. It's really fascinating." Really anything was for Aris. He just liked learning new things, especially when it came to learning more about his own families interests. Knowing that these birds were dear to his mother just made him make a mental note to read up on them more.

Though he did blink. Looked towards Valery.

"Warmth on a cold night. When we go camping that's always what it is. Something to cook food too."
