Valery was very quiet all of a sudden. A gentle sniff followed and she pressed her eyes shut, as motherly tears of joy threatened to fall down onto her cheeks. Hearing this, she was definitely going to talk to Kahlil about doing something for Vera to show her just how thankful they are as parents. It's usually not easy for kids around Vera's age to just accept a new sibling their own age, but she had welcomed Aris with open arms.

She had treated him like family.

"We've treated you like family because you are. Never let anybody make you think otherwise," Valery said, clearly with a lot of emotion in her voice. Kahlil had once told Vera that Valery never cried about anything but her family, and usually because she was way too happy.

This was one of those moments.

"I'm very proud of you, sweetie." She finally leaned in again and brought her cheek to rest against his for a short moment, before she planted a kiss there. "Do you maybe want to help me find something for Vera? I think she'd love it if it also came from you."

"I've never not felt like family. I just.. Wanted to make sure you knew." Voice his opinion, really. He was still all smiles though, leaning back to sort of hug Valery back as much as he could. It was good here. Warm, safe. Even in a jungle with an unknown amount of predators lurking within the shadows. Maybe they just knew not to try and fight against Valery at this point. Sensed the danger. That's what Aris figured.

"I think that'd be good. Especially since I already have your lightsaber."

"That's very thoughtful of you," Valery said with a very warm smile. Of course, she was hugging him quite a bit tighter now, and only after she realized it, she let go. With a sheepish smile, she crawled away and stood up to walk just outside the caves. The Jungle was especially beautiful at night to her, though that could have been because of her Keshian eyes. The sky was just so incredibly clear, and the stars really popped out to her.

Sharing that experience with her son felt quite amazing.

"Why don't we get Vera a piece of jewelry? But more like... a Jedi artifact. Something we've found or made, and imbued with the Force. You know what she's like — having something related to us would make her happy, hm?" She was actually asking him, because in some ways, he knew Vera best.

She shared everything with her brother.

"Something that helps her focus on her visions. I know she gets overwhelmed by them sometimes." He nodded once, keeping his eyes up on the sky. He couldn't exactly see the same way Valery could, but the sky was just as beautiful to him.

"She'd want it to be something that let her help more people."

Valery looked away from the stars and focused on him with a little smile of her own, "Something to help with her visions... I think we can do that," Valery said with a dip of her head. "There are crystals meant to help Jedi focus on the Force. I've had them integrated in my X-wing, but they were also used on a space station we built to help me create a Wall of Light on Exegol," Valery said, knowing he had likely read up on all of this.

"Do you think we could imbue it even more together?" Valery then asked. "Maybe put it in a necklace for her, or perhaps a bracelet?" She wasn't too sure what she'd like better, but Aris might know.

Vera was probably a bit too wild to have something around her neck.

"Why don't you give it to her for her birthday?"

"A bracelet would be best. That way she wouldn't loose it too easily." Aris nodded in agreement, though his eyes were again sparkling as she mentioned the wall of light. A crystal that helped her make something like the wall that had ended the war against the Maw? That'd be absolutely amazing! He grinned just a little before he nodded quickly. Excitedly. "I think she'd really love that. Let's get her that."

"It's really exciting to you, hm?" Valery chuckled and, of course, ruffled his hair now that they were talking about really fun stuff again. Vera was important to him, so the idea to help get her a special gift was always going to be fun and exciting. This time, he even showed as much with the way he grinned and smiled at her.

It was something Valery loved to see.

"You and your sister are going to be ready for your training, I'm sure. Just..." Valery smirked a little. "Don't forget about Mom and Dad too much, hm? We want to have you two join us for fun little adventures too sometimes. Especially Dad needs it, or he's going to miss you two too much," Valery said with a grin of her own. Yeah, it was totally just Dad who needed the attention.

"Why would we ever forget about you?"

Aris blinked, then frowned deeply. The idea that this would some how cost him his memories of his parents wasn't something he was alright with. He shook his head furiously, letting his face fill with determination.

"I would never forget about you. Or dad. And I won't let Vera forget you two either."

Valery couldn't help but chuckle at his reaction, and leaned in again, to pull him into quite a tight hug, "I was just joking a little bit. We know you and your sister won't forget us, sweetie. Just... We're used to having you two close almost all the time. It's going to take some adjusting." From not having the kids fly along on adventures, to them being away from home for a few days.

Her motherly heart already ached at the idea of them not sleeping at home, and not wanting their parents to tuck them in.

How could she ever survive this?

"If you or your sister ever feel home sick or just...need to talk to me or your Dad, you know you can always call us, hm?" She smiled and let out a soft sigh.

She really needed to get used to this.

Aris smiled warmly, looking up towards her again.

"We're always going to be family."

Valery let outa happy little sigh and kissed him atop his head. Then she blinked, and realized there was one really important thing she hadn't told him yet during this little hear to heart.

"...you're really becoming tall, huh?"

Not that.

She blinked again and looked him in the eyes, "I love you, Aris. So, so much."

Aris tilted his head in confusion. He wasn't that tall yet. For an Epicanthix at least. But he smiled after a moment. How could he not?
