Her eyes lingered on the woman, recalling her own childhood on Mandalore, and how things had been. Tatiana couldn't remember it all, not quite, but she knew she probably would have just ended up a bounty hunter and not a killer like she as now. She wondered why she hadn't been killed that day, when Mandalore burned, her clan shattered, yet she had lived. Why?
She didn't know. Sighing, she nodded slowly. "I merely wanted to stay in my clan, and if I could avoid all this force nonsense, I would have." As much as she hated to admit it, that power was apart of her, but so damn distant she didn't even know how to try and touch it.
She watched Saff leave, seemingly intent on trying to prove a point. When she returned, saber in hand, a flood of memories poured into her mind as she watched the red blade ignite; she had seen that weapon far too many times be used to cut down her own. "I'm sorry for your friend." Tatiana said quietly, nodding her head in a show bow. Her eyes returned to lock on Saff, speaking with a bit of a distant tone. "My training, we had to kill others. Many of them were of my own clan, survivors from the burning of Mandalore. Some of them friends, many of them merely children." She flinched at that, a series of images coming to her mind against her will. "Those who survived got their armor, the dead were left in space." Perhaps they could make a pact here, try and find the men who did this to them. "I have contacts on Bothawui, they'd probably be able to give you something, but you'll need more than a few vague memories." She clenched and clenched her hand, squeezing her arm in spite of the pain that flared from it. Part of her was expecting that saber to be brought down on her, but the feel she had from Saff told her that wasn't even on the table.

Extinguishing the saber, she put it aside.

"Thank you," she said solemnly, "For my friend, and for the story." Her musical tone grew soft, words trailing after each other with the cadence of a funeral march.

"For us, we were trained to kill. Thankfully in not as terrible an environment as you, and i am sorry you had to experience that. No, my master was apparently a Jedi, but he founded his own school on the far edges of space. He was a cruel man, and had us duel each other constantly, hence the lost eye. Eventually he had us training in live missions, many on the world we lived where the natives revered him like a god. However, there came a point where the reverence was... not as openly professed..." she trailed off, looking down at the double-bladed saber in hand.

"Suffice it to say, I will hunt the man down. When i know what to look for, but what of you? Any luck in your quest?"

She nodded solemnly, finding no words worth saying truly. Though she was surprised to hear that Saff's training wasn't all that dissimilar from her own. It didn't sound all that better from what she did truthfully. She looked at Saff intently, studying her face at the indication of the lost eye. She had lost things too before, yet this woman kept her injury. Perhaps as a ceremonial scar of shorts, she nodded as if answering her own question, but filed it away for a prodding for later. "He did that to me too. It was mostly his underlings, but....not that different really." Indeed, she recalled the zealots she had to kill, many of them fools who believed they could use the force. Very few of them could, and the few that did she had killed without much struggle.
Then asked about her own quest, she shook her head slowly. "No. I have a few planets he supposedly dwells on, but I feel like even if I found him, I wouldn't be able to kill him." She motioned to Saff, wincing as her elbow flared up in pain. "Given the most recent showing, this proved true." She looked to the saber in Saff's hand, cringing as she viewed it. "I...think he was my father." She felt almost pained saying it, but in her heart of hearts, she had felt it whenever she looked at him. At least in her memories, fragmented as they were, that connection seemed to remain.

Far from a therapist, Saffron returned the intent studying of her once opponent. She wouldn't belie the woman's suffering, nor could she offer much in the way of comfort, there was only really one thing she could say.

"You can't quite escape the scars they leave. I wish that it were so simple as that i could remove this patch, but it is a part of me, whether i like it or not. But at least... at least it wasn't my father doing it..." she conceded, walking back to the wall and dropping down before it, "I'm sorry for that, but perhaps knowing what you do, you know how to fix this, you just cannot do it yet?"

"Perhaps what you need to do is a very force-user akin thing - get your revenge."
As she sat, she tossed up her thoughts, she had the urge to say it, she had the need to, but once more, she lacked the training or skills to say it without a pit of burning anxiety filling her gut. Finally, she groaned and turned her gaze to the ceiling.

"Where do you need to search?"

It felt so odd to be told that her suffering was understood. Typically she was derided and mocked for such things, or attacked; normally attacked was the typical reaction of telling people her father was of the Sith. Regardless, it made her stomach feel sick. Sympathy would take time getting used to. “Scars give meaning to our fights. Remind us of what we have overcome.” Watching as Saff moved towards the wall, she studied the woman for a moment as she was told she might know how to address it. She shook her head, shame building up where the sickly feeling in her gut was. “I thought so, but again, you beat me soundly. I can only imagine I’d have no chance even if I increased my fire power.” She glanced down to the armor she had shed just a moment ago, then to the woman who had bested her. She needed more training, mostly in how to defeat the force.
“He has a base on Felucia, and supposedly one set on Vjun. Those are the only ones I can think of.” She shook her head, grunting as she irked a wound to her neck.
Looking to Saff, perhaps they could make a pact. Find and kill the men who had done this to them.

"You are correct, i bested you, mayhaps armaments and weaponry wont solve the issue, but perhaps the problem may be solved with a different type of upgrade," Saffron began, though the oncoming words that she felt forming were foreign, and she could tell even before speaking.

"Perhaps simply getting more weapons wont help, perhaps it's a matter of getting someone who can help," she finally said, sighing the words out. "There is no guarantee that i can provide which will tell you we can get him, but I've experience with killing men like that, and while there's no chance we find the one i seek any time soon, perhaps hunting your father will give me enough experience and knowledge to use in my own circumstances." Though she spoke to give justification and perhaps comfort to the woman, Saff spent most of her effort in convincing herself of the value of her argument.

She looked at the woman a bit baffled as she heard the offer, tilting her head to the side and looking intently at Saff. Was this woman honestly offering to help her? After she attempted to kill her? It was rather difficult to comprehend truthfully. “You’re being serious? You want to help me after I attacked you?” She asked in utter disbelief.
No one did something for nothing, and she found Saff’s statement to be so out of left field she was struggling to process it. “You don’t even know my name. And you want to help me?” She spoke, almost asking herself that question if anything. She did find the other woman rather attractive, yes, but she had to assume this went beyond something like that. Was it because they had similar walks of life, or was Saff honestly looking for experience with fighting? Not knowing was what bothered her.

Sometimes, Saffron found herself questioning her own motives. Sometimes. However, now, she felt it clear, as if the force itself was dictating what she should do here. There was simply no way that this woman was dropped in her lap by happenstance, surely there was a purpose to the encounter, other than humbling the poor hunter. No, even if providence was nowhere to be found here, she would take this chance for whatever it was worth.

"I don't particularly care if you attacked me... if you want the honest truth there, you're not well suited to dealing with a Jedi like me - i'm bigger, stronger and the way i sue the force is a direct counter to your gear. Your attack felt more like a high-stakes sparring match. And as far as introductions go..." She paused, getting back to her feet, cursing herself for getting comfortable so quickly, "name's Saffron." She finished with an outstretched hand.

"And if your biggest concern is the why. Then i'm afraid to say i don't want anything back other than the chance of practicing against a real foe. My master will hardly be a slouch, and yours may be no different, but at least your master hasn't had years to prepare for me."

Most of her life, Tatiana had only done things for her own motives. Self reliance was a key aspect of being under the Sith, so what better way to survive that adopt a similar mindset. She didn’t believe in the idea that things happen for a reason. Life was chaotic, things happened and you did what best you could. It was how the Mandalorians viewed things, and the Sith merely twisted the rules to their liking. So, with this information in mind, she was utterly stumped at the woman before her.
Frankly she was put off by being told she felt more like a sparring match than a kill, but thinking in it, she realized she hadn’t used any of her explosives in the fight. Then struggled to understand why she hadn’t. Maybe this woman was stronger, it didn’t mean she had to like it.
Though upon being given a name and a hand, she merely blinked and stared at the woman for a moment before responding. Taking the hand in kind, she gave a perhaps too tight squeeze in reply. “Tatiana.”
At least she had a name now. Still, the idea of facing her former master with this woman was…difficult to say the least. “I don’t know if it will matter, my master…..he’s killed several knights and masters. When Mandalore was burned, he had our armor melted down for his suit. It’s composed of Beskar. I don’t even know where to start attacking him from.” She frowned, shaking her head as she pondered the idea, but kept a gaze on Saff. “But if you wish to try, I won’t true down the aid.”
If someone wishes to embark on a glorious battle with her, it was far more insulting to refuse the offer. She couldn’t bring herself to do that.

It was hard not to smile at the woman's grip. It rang to her of someone who yearned for something she routinely denied herself. At least she wasn't denying herself it any longer. It posed a more pressing concern however. If she was to be dealing with a master of death, then it would behoove them to plan and prepare and figure out how to kill despite Beskar. There was time enough for that however.

"Well. Your master has killed several Jedi and Sith, but i am afraid to say i am not truly either. My master was neither, and I am even further from any tradition. I am merely Saffron, knight," she said, though the intent was entirely fronted by her. It was hard to argue with noted killers such as what she suggested. In fact, she didn't even know how to truly deal with Beskar, or even what the man was capable of. That was beside the point, it didn't matter if only two of them were here now.

"Have you not considered that in order to take him out, it would be best to seek help from all possible avenues. I mean, you're Mandalorian, you could gather a small army to you with just that detail to your name. maybe the first order of business is to just found a mercenary company. If you want to take down an army, make your own."

Saff was confident, she had to give the woman that. Though overconfidence had been the downfall of so many people, she had to assume Saffon was not that confident as to casually challenge death. "Then your beliefs walk on fragile ground. If you have no faith in a structure, that can undermine the strength of your power. At least, that's how I understand it regarding Jedi, and Sith." There were ways to penetrate Beskar of course, but, Tatiana felt that should have been kept secret for the safety of her own people.
Then she asked if she had considered getting other Mandalorians to assist her, and Tatiana wanted to almost laugh. That wasn't even an option. "I'm an outcast of the Mandalorian culture. My people, we swore loyalty to the Sith, we have had our names stricken from the record. If I met with another Mandalorian, they are honor bound to kill me upon recognition. As for a mercenary group, I doubt that would be able to hold against my fathers followers. I'm not a wealthy woman." That much was true, which was partly why she lacked so much actual equipment right now.

Saffron could only shrug, she could not deny her beliefs were fractured and faint, but that was the result of how she was made, she was brought up to be vicious, unrepentant and violent. She made her mind up to be none of those.

"I do not think you should recruit Mandalorians, i think you should recruit others. Two of us are one thing, but more? It's possible. After all, the best trick a bounty hunter can hone is good connections."
She spoke firmly, doing her best to correct the woman, "You have me willing to help, and i can almost guarantee that there are those who would kill someone like him without a second thought simply because he's a right bastard."

Tatiana merely studied the woman as she said what she wished to say, and contemplated it. She wasn’t the best person to speak about having ‘connections’. It probably was a terrible idea to try and have her coordinate with others. She didn’t exactly get along with people, but she couldn’t even fathom trying to collect mercenaries together to try and kill her father. He had enemies true, but, that concept seemed so far flung to even consider. But maybe….
“Perhaps, perhaps you have a point, but we will be hard pressed to find that many. It will take time, not something I can do over the weekend.” She affirmed, still studying Saff. “So, you are considering this a…extended training mission or something?”

Assuming the woman felt genuinely sincere in her thoughts and words, Saffron nodded, she would help this fellow straggler overcome the demons she could yet overcome in herself.

"I would consider this an open invitation to bettering yourself. Perhaps i can do so too. But yes, it's an offer, i have a big old ship and most rooms are for guns, if you want, it's open to you." She finished with a smile, wide and welcoming. She would help this woman if others had failed to do so before. She eventually walked across to her counterpart and extended a firm hand.

She sat for a moment trying to process this exchange. It was so odd to her, to be given something for nothing. She had a woman genuinely offering to assist her in her revenge plot for nothing else aside from experience. Tatiana couldn’t pay her, she hardly had credits to keep her armor and weapons up to par, yet this Jedi wanted to help her. Willing to offer up her own resources and ship for her little suicide mission.
The red head was stupefied by this. Yet could not work out the benefits for the other woman, yet with her current condition she couldn’t turn down the aid. As she was approached, hand extended out, Tatiana eyes the hand, then her new ‘friend’ before taking it. “I have no way to repay you for your offer.” She lamaneted, unable to form a smile to match Saff’s own.

A raucous laugh barked back as Saffron shook the smaller woman's arm, making sure to avoid agitating burns and scars on the mandalorian.

"If i were interested in what you could give me, i wouldn't be bumming around on these outer worlds. My work is mostly inner world, pays better, and as such, i can live with some of the finer things in life. Like kindness," she grinned wide with her words, a little indulgently over her remark. However, there was only truth in her statement. She worked exceptionally hard to hunt high-paying bounties so that she may come to these outer worlds to seek information on her master, and no doubt someone as criminally insane as this woman's father, would have something.
