Taste of Cathar (Darth Arcanix)

[member="Darth Arcanix"]

Elara stood with her master as they were in the ship, she was in charge of this little outpost they had found.. well she was in charge of doing things. She had asked them if they could meet and perhaps use their blood to find a cure for the gulag plague... false pretenses but it got the group out of Mandalorian space and here into the outer rim where they could... handle them as she spoke. "Master the cathar are in one of the camps awaiting your tender mercies to find a cure as they believe." She could see the amusement playing on her masters face while they moved before disappearing and awaiting the other apprentice, one who had shown she was skilled as it were as Elara stood with a small smile on her face. "Are you ready to begin apprentice?"

Taeli walked up beside her master, wearing a deep purple dress and black hooded cape for the occasion. Her master had promised to teach her some interesting things if she assisted with . . . dealing with these Cathar and working on a new project. Who was she to deny helping [member="Darth Praelior"] with a project and if she learned what she hoped she was going to learn, it would be worth any price.

"Yes, master, this should be an interesting experience. I can't say I've ever met a Cathar before. I do hope they don't mind that they were lied to, they can take comfort in the fact they will be helping us create an old and yet new Sithspawn. The anticipation is almost palpable."

Taeli cracked her neck and clipped her hand guarded lightsaber to her belt, fully expecting it would see use at the Cathar camp as the ship came for a landing nearby.

Elara was looking at them and smirking now while she listened to Taeli or Darth Arcanix as she called herself now.... She was older and able to be a knight within the sith... that was fine. She rather enjoyed this one compared to Nick who seemed to forget his place, Taeli was skilled and now as they ship continued forward she heard her master crooning a little. "Oh you look so much stronger, and what have you been plotting my dear Arcanix? Something cruel for the masses that will make them shiver and fear you?"

"Something like that, Master," Taeli answered with a smile. She wasn't going to reveal anything just yet, but she was sure once she did reveal her secret project, her master would most definitely approve. It would be an interesting addition to their ranks, to say the least. Looking at Elara, Taeli felt a smug smile cross her lips briefly. It hadn't been too long ago that she had been the junior apprentice to the girl, now she was Sith Knight and this girl's superior. It felt good to have ascended so fast, and she had her sights set even higher eventually.

"I'll only say it is a very ambitious project, and I need more power and experience before pulling it off," she said simply. "Hence why I agreed to help with gathering the Cathar in exchange for learning some Sith magic."

Elara continued to looked at her master and was taking it all in now, there was a great deal going one while they moved about with Arcanix becoming something of a sight to behold. "Well that is what you have me for apprentice, to learn from, the ONe Sith is about power yes but the problem with unity is if everyone hordes no one will succeed. You will need the skills for when the time comes to test yourself and..." Balaya trailed off while she was moving and looking over her datapad. They had some thought, she had shared it with Elara who was making quite the show as an apprentice now while they went onwards. "That is why we are here after all, now tell me what you will need to learn so that we can work on that while extracting these samples."

"Everything?" Taeli replied with a small smile. She wanted to know everything her master did about Sith magic's; reanimation, illusions, spells of cloaking, of insanity. Everything. Taeli had been doing a lot of reading when she could, and Darth Zannah had grabbed hold of her imagination and drive. She was a Sith that Taeli hoped to emulate, and she desired to know the arcane arts.

"As for my project, Master, my road block is merely getting surge coral seeds to agree to crystalizing," Taeli said. The last few attempts had been . . . disappointing to say the least. They would accept and reject the crystals at the same time, and it was maddening for her. As the ship descended to the planet below, to the unsuspecting Cathar that thought a cure to the Gulag was the goal of this expedition.

Elara looked at Taeli as she wanted to learn everything about alchemy and sorcery... which was a big plate. There was a lot as she had seen from her master and Balaya had had to make herself into a sithspawn to cope with he power she used. It still ate her up and Elara knew there were more dangers as time went on. Now the girl was watching as she heard her master speak. "Everything.... is a lot, alchemy, sorcery there are plenty of places to go with it and think about. We'll work on it. Getting seeds to do what you want can be tricky." Elara smirked a little as they were still heading and now the feeling of foredobing was there, she knew what they were planning here and with the grey riders working in Balay's sector to control it... well they served a stronger purpose.

"Of course, Master, I don't want to learn everything at once," Taeli said bowing slightly as their ship landed near the settlement. "I merely wish to begin learning the magics of the Sith today, once we have dealt with our feline friends. As for the seeds, they will accept the crystals temporarily, but every time I try something else, they kill the implanter by growing too quickly. That's really my major problem with the work."

Looking over at Elara and the look on the girl's face, she understood her request was a bit extreme. She had read about how such things could easily destroy the user, but that wouldn't dissuade her from learning what she could about all of that.

"I believe its time to begin, yes?"

She hoped these Cathar wouldn't put up much of a fight, but she doubted they would be pleased to learn why the Sith had truly come. Oh well. They would serve hers and [member="Darth Praelior"]'s purposes now.

Elara was looking and as the ship arrived she led the way for the two, mostly clearing the path for them to walk as she was smaller and abel to be seen with her presence in the force and the darkside. Elara kept moving while Balaya watched going towards the Cathar they had. They needed the stuff but she remained quiet. The trip with her master to the cathar brought Elara's attention around as Balaya spoke the cats gathering around them. "Yes it is time to begin and get the samples then the real test will start. Combining the samples with the zeltron samples and working to make the creatures very dangerous."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

Taeli could already see the Cathar tensing from what her master had just. It might not have been the most prudent thing to say about combining the samples with Zeltron examples to create something dangerous. But she decided to twist what her master said to put the Cathar at a slight ease, as it wouldn't do to kill or fight them . . . yet.

"Indeed, it will be dangerous, master," Taeli said. "Crafting a cure or vaccination can be very complex work as one has to test and the side effects of our potential cure have to be documented. But we have high hopes for what the combination of genes might be able to create."

Elara was glad Taeli was on her toes, she didn't deny their master was many things... talented but she didn't have that guile to lie outright compared to others. She did usually mean what she said and told the others exactly that. She had plans for these cathar and Elara spoke. "Yes a cure using the unique bodies of the zeltrons would be more prudent. They can filter more with their systems and it allows for breaking down and finding cures." Her masters eyes fell on her as Elara bowed but got a smile unlike Nick who had tried to threaten she knew what needed to be done and Balaya spoke. "All shall be well, we have some of the finest doctors for making treatments. We'll just be handling it like this." The large zeltron was smiling and moving over to an area to sit and take the samples.

Taeli followed her master and Elara over to where they would be taking the samples, Taeli pulling several syringes and swabs out of her satchel as more medical equipment was brought up their request. It wouldn't do to not keep up appearances with what they were doing, especially if they were to keep these cats off balance about their true intentions.

One Cathar, a male, came up to Taeli and she started going about the business of gathering samples of his blood and saliva to "analyze" for antibodies or anything useful to a medical cure. In all reality, it was to check make sure these Cathar would be compatible with the current research.

"Next," she said, almost sweetly, as she finished with that Cathar and another came up to her. As long as their suspicions weren't raised, they could get what they wanted easily.

Elara stood there as they watched, this wasn't the time to be cruel... well maybe or maybe not but this was the time to be cunning and take good care. Collecting the samples from them was more important then getting a few more bodies on their count. Those would come in time while her hands were going over the samples collected. The case filled with foam, the samples protected and her master speaking. "Very good, this will do wonderfully now, continue on and we'll see to it the rest are taken care of." Elara could see the smile on her masters face and here she wasn't just a doctor helping, she wasn't even known as a coice of the sith. They had done well to try and hide that fact while the rest of the sector five staff milled about doing as needed. Each were able to handle their operations on board the voices Immortal that sat in the black awaiting orders with its fleet.

"Thank you for your contributions to science," Taeli said, closing up the kit she had been using as the last Cathar left her small station. Packing the kit and the samples she obtained up, she handed them off to Elara. "We will make sure the samples are put to very good use, we shouldn't take too long in synthesizing something that will help protect against that scourge."

Coming up behind her master, she whispered, "I think that warrants a lesson in Sith Magic, don't you Master?"

She had been able to save the situation from turning into a fight, they would have Cathar waiting for a cure that would only change them into something more useful to the Sith cause, and they had gained plenty of samples. Even more than expected from she could tell from the mutterings of the Sector V staff.

Elara looked at her master as the smile was on her face. gathering the final bits of the samples an sending them away she heard her speak. "Good and yes it is something you have earned." Elara was marching with Balaya as they were moving leading the way for them towards the lab. Balaya opening it while some of the females within were strapped to the tables. "The first lesson in sith magic is to know what you are doing. There are many who will just try to do everything but you don't want to waste it. Here in this lab this lab you'll practice. Reach into these subjects and try your skills. Just like anything you will want to develop the movements."

Taeli looked at her master, not entirely sure what she was asking, but she would do as she commanded. These female Cathar had "disappeared" from their village, the assumption being that they had left for some other world, but the reality was they were here merely to continue the experiments. Reaching out with the dark side of the Force, she did as her master instructed, and reached towards the subjects present.

Feeling them in the Force, she assumed that she had to bring her will down upon them in some way, so she did just that. Bringing her will down upon the cells and presences of the captives, she bound them to her through the dark side of the Force and waited to see what her master would instruct next.

Elara observed as her master did, Arcanix was getting it and this was a good first lesson but there was more needed as she was thinking about all of it. A small smile on her face thoughh when the information from her masters datapad chirped on her hip. She withdrew it and was reading over the course of it all. A virus fashioned from sith alchemy that morphed into what she wanted... It could be a dangerous thing to see and use on a planet as the end goal was creating docile thralls who would fight and serve the sith. That was what they had the medical ships for with drop pods able to spread biological weapons across planets. "Very good, now continue and work on mutating them, the next creature will be something special and we don't need living ones."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

Wondering what her master meant by not needing live ones next, Taeli focused on her task of changing these Cathar. She was uncomfortable with doing, mainly because these beings had not volunteered for this, but she couldn't argue aloud with this. Gaining the knowledge was too important for her.

Focusing on the Cathar's DNA, she began bending and twisting it as best she can so it would take on a new form. The dark side was rife here as she worked, and she knew that it would be getting infused into the DNA. The Cathar started shaking and snarling as the changes in her genetic code began to take on a physical aspect. The claws got longer, the eyes narrowed and turned orange, bony spikes started to appear along the arms and legs. The fangs began to length more and, focusing more on the saliva glands, Taeli made the creature before them have a dark side infused bite by pouring dark side energy into that part of the mouth.

Sagging a bit from the extreme usage of the dark side, Taeli took a moment to steady herself and wait for what her master thought of what she had done.
