Her Apprentice was right. It was a lovely day and it would later shape up into an even more pleasurable day when the forces of the Rebel Alliance were crushed underfoot, like a spiderroach trying desperately to scurry away into the shadows. And there were a lot of spiderroaches out there waiting to be squished.
"Indeed it is," she replied catching her Apprentice returning her helmet to it's proper place out of her peripheral vision. "When we engage the enemy, stick close to me and allow your forces to take the full blunt of the enemy's attack. Your life is more important to me than theirs. They are replaceable....you are not."
She rasied her left hand up high in the air, then dropped it. The massive AT-AWs began to rumble forward, flanked by their smaller cousins the AT-LAWs moving slightly ahead of them. The machines would wreck the most havoc upon the enemy, punching holes in the Rebel's defenses allowing her Apprentice, her Apprentice's forces, her personal Knights, and herself to get close enough to introduce themselves to the enemy; slaughtering those that not worthy to be delegated as test subjects.
"Ensure your troops that they understand they do not break ranks and give chase to fleeing forces," the Sith Lady reiterated to her Apprentice. In the past, she had witnessed soldiers under the command of others joyfully give chase to broken forces only to find their joy turned into one of fear or confusion as they haphazardly ran headlong into ambushes or forces recently arriving to battle; ready to do their part. The tides of war was an ever changing occurrence on the battlefield and she would not give hope to a broken enemy.
"And ensure you do not allow your emotions to control you. War has a pleasing appeal to us Sith...dangerous to those that cannot maintain to keep their emotions in check."
In the distance she heard the first explosions echoing off the mountain walls earning them a cold smile from Darth Venefica. So it had begun, she thought to herself.

It seemed as though the Rebel dropships would carry on unopposed as they turned down and dived with their men. However, nothing was ever what it seemed with Ayden. In the eight seconds of engagement time they had had, he had already noticed details about the enemy craft and formulated his own response. The dropships were, surprisingly, agile. His fighters were powerful, but they were not the most maneuverable things; at least, most of them weren't. Besh Flight spun and dove to follow the dropships. They had sacrificed missiles and additional cannons for afterburners and maneuverability jets. For them, it was an easy thing to keep pace with the dropships and harass them with quad laser cannon and quad ion cannon fire. Besh Flight would hit the enemy's dropships just as they were attempting their own strafing run.

Since the enemy dropships were entering the anti-air space of the FOB, Ayden and the rest of the Wardogs didn't have to immediately turn down to pursue. Instead, Ayden took a moment to judge their angle of attack. They would attempt two moves; either they would attempt to strafe and gun it to outrun the counterstrike, or they'd attempt to hit and turn to bolt back for friendly space. Besh was the faster flight, so they'd be able to keep up with the dropships and continue firing even if they tried to flee. Which left the gun it move open... Without a word, Cresh Flight separated and moved to intercept the dropships if they attempted to just blow across the Techno Union base and find cover. If they did, they'd find themselves the targets of homing concussion missiles. If not, then they'd continue to suffer at the hands of Besh Flight. All that was left then was the Rebel forces that had jumped out of the dropships...

Sending a message to the FOB's flight controllers, Ayden and Aurek Flight began their run. No enemy fighters had attempted to come out to escort the dropships, which left him free to do as he wished. If there had been a fighter escort with the dropships, their crazy attack might have gained better ground. It was equally unfortunate that the Rebels on the ground had focused all their attention on the Techno Union base and its defenses, rather than keeping an eye on the sky when enemy fighters were active. He spotted an enemy dropship, damaged and on fire, attempt a kamikaze run on a piece of Union armor. Since he was having to fight the craft to keep a straight trajectory, it wouldn't be any trouble for a straight-down concussion missile to blow apart the already-damaged Rebel dropship before it'd get a chance to do crash into the Mythosaur.

Equally unfortunate for the Rebel troopers was their lack of overhead cover. Each of the four Eharl starfighters fired a pair of proton torpedoes and brief bursts of laser cannon fire onto the evenly spread troopers before pulling up to avoid rocketing into the dirt. Given the enemy's spread, the torpedoes wouldn't be able to kill them all, but they had been fired at the clusters of troopers that they had observed firing hand-held rocket launchers. Take out the most dangerous targets, cut off the head of the snake. So they pulled up and away, gunners firing brief bursts from their repeating laser cannons as the distancing Rebel troops, before they began to circle back around to check on how the dropships were handing a three-pronged attack.

"It will be ready." the Jedi retorted simply, without even looking at the man standing beside her. Her eyes were fixed on the horizon, at the approaching Techno Union war machine. One of the soldiers approached her and handed her a shabby looking datascreen - "Satellite images you requested are in."

"Good to see old mining equipment is still working. I must admit it, Techno Union makes some durable tech." she said and then showed the screen to Blane, her finger pinpointing to moving enemy troops.
"I figured they would first take out the defense satellites and they did. However, geomining equipment scanning the surface for ores is still up there. Too small to detect. At least we will have some idea where they are going, given this place is technically equipped like a museum."
Tionne loved improvising, but not having a toothpick to battle unholy armies of hell. If they survived to live another day, it would be considered a miracle in her book.

"Karr, come in please." Thanewulf voice into the comm as she sat on the speeder bike and turned the engine on. With a roar, the vehicle was afloat above red dust.
"Payload about to be delivered. I'm transmitting target coordinates, please stand by. Find the red speeder bike. Seizmic charges are in side bag. May the Force be with you." she voiced, before switching channels to connect to airbase link.
"[member="Tugoro Taidarious"] get your pretty butt on the ground and meet me at rendes-vouz point. Let's make this less of a walk in the park for them. Transmitting coordinates now."

With allies informed of her status, the Jedi stepped on the gas pedal and stormed out of the base towards stone formations in the south. A thousand thoughts swarmed her mind, but she managed to quiet them and concentrate on the Force before she concealed her presence again. Geonosians followed suit, the fast flapping of their insectioid wings making an ominous buzzing sound. Suddenly, booming of heavy shelling was to be heard from the base, the redhead looking over her shoulder to see what just happened.

Kian....

But time was off the essence. Just as they reached the outskirts of the plane on which the base was built, winged creatures took precedence to lead the Jedi though the stone canyon to place where charges were to be set. Bike meandered through the crevasses and past tower-like extrusions which were actually habitats to these peculiar creatures, to reach just behind the top of the ridge that overlooked the basin below. It is there that Thanewulf got off the bike to set seizmic charges along the fault lines pointed out by a Geonosian engineer, where they would yield maximum damage. She then took a minute to look over the edge and into the plains, only to see approaching vehicles and troops, but also sense several very dark presences.

"That boy better be here soon." she mumbled to herself before getting back on the bike, her hand firmly resting on the detonator. - "Here goes nothing."
As the ignition button was pressed, a deep wave of seizmic energy shook the ground, force of a thousand granades permeating through fault traces to detach layers of stone from top of the ridge. A cloud of dust rose into the sky as debris began rolling down, large bolders and rubble creating an incoming land slide which was threatening to sweep any land-dwelling creatures or machines ahead. Tionne then drove ahead towards the enemy, her speeder racing over tumbling stones and displaced earth, shielded from sight by incoming thick cloud of red dust.

A rumble like distant thunder drew Orcus' eye as he stood on the ridge, panting from his latest exertion. Off in the distance, several hundred meters out, a portion of the ridge began to slide away in a rockfall. Thankfully, their force was positioned on the southern ridge line. The avalanche slid west to east, along the face of the ridge, rather than north south - much like an avalanche of snow follows the mountain's face rather than the mountain's spine. Actually, exactly like that.

"Sky Lead, I want eyes on that rockfall. What was the source of that tremor?"

"Copy that, Lord Orcus, Sky 2 will scan the area."

"Excellent."

Orcus turned to resume staring at the cloud of dust before him. Enmeshed by hundreds of infantry and dozens of tanks and artillery, Orcus felt little fear, only a deep and malicious wroth.

Wes was getting incoming reports and giving them looking through his scope taking advantage of the range finder built into the squads helmets. It was panning out to be one heck of a rough day.

"Walker to all units look frosty.................."

Then all heck broke loose. Wes barely had time to even register the sounds on the inbound missiles before they impacted. He reached to try and report the incoming when he heard absolutely nothing on his comm. Not static not the rest of the squad nothing.

"What the......................"

As the rounds impacted a cold chill ran down his spine at the realization the enemy had just fired an EMP burst into the base. Everything was dead. The radios, his HUD, everything. Wes ripped off his helmet tossing it to the side in disgust. He began looking around for options realizing there are. His head dropped as he realized what that was.

He abandoned the sniper rifle knowing it would not survive what he was about to do. Wes turned firing the built in grappling hook his armor had and used it to rappel down the side of the building. It would be too late to realize his mistake as the anti-infantry rounds followed the EMP rounds. He heard burst after burst of fire as the shells exploded in the air raining down on him. He moved with a purpose cursing trying to make it to the ground. He looked up closing his eyes as a burst of shrapnel cut the grapple line causing it to snap and Wes to fall 30 feet to the bottom. His armor absorbed just enough of the impact to keep him alive. Just as he lost consciousness Wes felt his body being pulled. Where he had no idea.

"Stop being so dramatic," Adekos chided. Jemmila's mouth hung open in disbelief. Leave it to the Umbaran to turn what should have been a genuine moment where she shared her feelings of heartfelt loyalty to her Master into a farce. Her eyes blackened behind her helmet as the storms inside began to brew. So he wanted dramatic, eh? Well, she would give him dramatic.

Before Jemmila could get too angry at Adekos' familiar cutting remarks, the icy ping of sniper fire pierced through the air. Their position on the ridge was spotted. The Hapan apprentice felt an invisible hand on her back pushing her behind the MTAT to take cover. There was a booming sound from below as the armored Herglic Sith Lord pounded the ground, sending up a cloud of amber dust to foil the snipers. Soon, Adekos' beautiful HRD Morgan Redeaux was on the way, delivering the speeder bikes as directed, and her Master ordered her to meet them further down the ridge. Jem had never pegged Adekos as the luxury droid type, but stranger things had happened in the galaxy. Jem was soon roused from her thoughts as the MTAT began to crawl forward. Jemmila and Adekos crouch-walked along with it, safe from rogue bullets. For now.

As their convoy pressed forward, there was an unearthly rumbling ahead. Off in the distance there were landslides of falling rock. Those avalanches ahead were not nature's wrath. They were man made. The rebels had come out to play. The determination in her gaze was now joined by fear. Jemmila knew her Umbaran Master could probably sense how afraid she was, but she tried to hide the quiver in her tone as she spoke.

"Your orders, Master?"

Oddball had really gotten the short end of the stick on this plan, but it was what he had signed up for and he was going to do the best with it. Gathering the enemies forces here meant that the boys had a better chance on the front lines and he could draw them away from that particular engagement. It also meant that they had a good amount of their rotten eggs in one little basket, going in Oddball knew there was no chance that his small amount of men could fight off the hundreds of men the Union had amassed to take him out. But he knew if they could distract the fighters with the Dropships and take out those anti air emplacements, it lined up for a lot of possibilities to take out this base and maybe him along with it. He accepted that, and even though this may of been the end he was going to go down fighting.

So as rockets and missiles went off on both ends and men and women died Oddball lifted up his DC-18, drew in a deep breath of filtered air, and bellowed out his men. To hold tight and even though they may die, they were going to take as many of these son's of bitches and factory lines with them, and he expressed that in three simple words.

"FOR THE REBELLION!!" he shouted and took aim at an the incoming droids.

Oddball shot down two droids that advanced on him and soon he took cover behind a rock pilar as a missile from a star fighter exploded besides him sending one of his squad mates flying in multiple directions.

"YOU WANT SOME TOO!?" Oddball yelled as he popped the corner and put one between the optics of another incoming droid.

"Keep the clankers busy!" I got to make a call!" Oddball fired again and again but they just had to hold.

"I repeat grid mark One Four One Eight! Danger close! Danger close! Drop everything you got! Minimal fighter and AA resistance! Priority one!" Oddball yelled into his mic to hail [member="Juwiela Melec"] [member="Krasnaya Xue"] and [member="Sannika Brynn"] to drop bombs on these people ASAP.

Oddball had his rocketeers shift fire keeping some on the AA emplacements and others going to the redeemer main battle tanks. Others did their best to try and pick off a few fighters to provide cover but hopefully this mission would go up to fleet and they could get an orbital strike to waste all of these guys.

As for the drop ships another was shot down by incoming fighters and the rest kept moving and ducking, the dive bombing one was struck down by a concussion missile leaving only three of the original six. They knew their part and they had to keep those fighters occupied. Pushing forward they came towards friendly point defenses cannons that were scattered around the hills and droid foundry. They quickly began to aim and fire on the ships that were tailing them so they could try and regroup to get more men and supplies places.

Comm chatter was silent as they passed at their closest point to the Rebel's fleet position. Still outside the estimated battle zone, but close enough. They knew there was a remote chance of being spotted, but they took the long way to minimise that chance. It would be a miracle for the scanners to pick them up as more than a brief beep, and bets were on their defences being more preoccupied with the incoming Union Fleet to care about some non-threatening aerospace craft. So they droned on, ever nearing the world below. Starfighter pilots eyed each other wordlessly. People in shuttles gripped their blasters, lightsabres, or droids. The tension of this segment of the flight was palpable, it filled the air and made the Force Users more nervous than they probably should have been.

The journey was almost complete, the battle almost reached. As they slipped further past the danger zone, they watched the distant glitter of Alliance forces. They weren't armed for space combat. The most they could do was fly faster and try to reach their destination unscathed.

Kian Karr felt the rumbling in the ground as the shelling began. Whatever was happening behind him couldn't be good.....but Kian was on the move. His force, albeit somewhat small, had begun moving South of their initial position. Reports were funneling in, although suspect, that indicated that there was a large force of OS soldiers moving into position South of Kian's own forces. He felt the darkness swelling there and had decided that this was the place he should go.

"Your coming in Tionne." Kian said, responding to the com chatter. "I'm moving my forces south to cut off the approaching OS forces." Kian said across the secure Republic line. Kian wasn't exactly sure why he was putting such faith into the reports he had coming in.....but there was something drawing him south and he had learned long ago to listen to the call of the force.

"I'll keep you appraised of the situation." Kian said and he glanced over his shoulder at the Commandos and droids he had at his disposal. The reports that were coming in indicated that the forces South of him were far more tech heavy than his own and so Kian had realized that he needed to move and move fast. If he was to stand any chance, he had to get into a position that would enable him to at least hold the forces back.

But while his forces did this, Kian would do what Kian did best.

Kian would be hunting the Sith.

This picture was probably going to be obnoxiously big.

And launch.

From a central location within the airbase, hundreds of 1 meter wide spheres were launched expediently straight up into the air. They would continue to go straight up in a wide column until they got higher than AA range. Then, they would spread out far flung across the battlefield. Rebels would gain vision of all active enemy forces and Jarven would have his own tenuous, limited "little army", besides using them for their original purpose: being "eyes in the skies".

The call to drop was sudden, but not unexpected. He engaged in the evasive maneuvers as he was ordered, but he wasn't worried. He was in the center of the mass, which made for some unintentional body shields, and he's watched his friends play with guided rocket launchers when he was a kid on a field trip and he'd failed at making sniper shots akin to what the TU was trying to do with larger guns; More often than not, the fuel would run out before the rockets would hit each other and there hasn't been a single combat droid that could outgun a Gank Killer.

Once he landed, he pulled out his Lil Monster submachine gun and laid into the droid forces alongside of Oddball.

Muscles expanding and both his hearts coursing with both blood and drugs, Abraxas straightened his posture and shifted his shoulders as he felt every fiber of his being tingle with the desire to exercise combat protocols. The eyes that gazed from behind the crimson visor were blackened with a soulless void that only craved more knowledge of those that would fall victim. Their anatomy, their blood type, their choice of weaponry, all of which would be stored away to memory like a steel trap. Abraxas recorded such things to understand and predict future threats and ground forces; their physical suits of flesh being a scientific study for the creation. Why? That in itself was reserved for an entirely different scenario.

Abraxas' breathing was controlled yet ragged, the combat stims creating an intense feeling of rage both within the Force and his body. Clenching his left hand tight into a fist, the psychosis began to set in. Mild auditory hallucinations soaking his mind with visceral messages of damming violence. Almost a white noise now, this side-effect was brought on by the copious amounts of the combat drugs taken at once - rather, the amount of drugs pumped into his body during his time in a stasis-crypt. Primed and tuned to be a perfect killer in every possible mission, a routine must be practiced in-between duties. Otherwise the mental state of Abraxas might be a detriment to both himself and those within his vicinity.

Like most hired hands that appeared in this battle, credits seemed to be the mainstay and the ultimate reason why they'd consider pushing onward with the Techno Union and Sith; however, Abraxas cared little for such things. Pension wasn't beyond him, but what use would an individual like him have for currency? None.

Not paying much heed to his own allies and looking onward at the destruction of the buildings ahead, Abraxas could sense the life of prey drawing nearby. Soon, the sport would begin.

And what a fine hunt it shall be.

Okay, Tugoro was a bit late. So what? It was nothing unusual as far as those who knew him could tell, plus there was more than enough time to make up for his tardiness. The cabin of the shuttle the young Knight had boarded was all but silent, save the consistent of the engine as the vehicle propelled the squad along the Geonosian terrain. With keen eyesight, Tugoro's vision would pierce the darkness of the shuttles insides, his calm yet serious expression glancing over those that stood alongside him. The team of nine soldiers he traveled with were those he trusted the most, having formed the squad in his early days as a Jedi. The group had a lot of history together, and they intended on having each others backs till the very end. The airborne vehicle would stick low to the ground, maneuvering its way through the dunes and canyons alike, hoping to reach it's destination undamaged.

Being a Major within the Rebel Alliance definitely had its perks, but Tugoro could not deny that being a Knight was even better. If he had been here under the Republic's orders, the youth probably would've been able to pack more of a punch than he was currently able to. Either way, the Jedi would make due with what he had, lifting his wrist communicator to his mouth as he listened to reports and prepared to respond. It seemed the battle had already kicked off, one [member="Oddball"] having jumped right into the fray. Tugoro couldn't help but admire the man's courageous bravery, no matter how foolish it might have been. Though, all that mattered was fighting for a cause you believed in, and no amount of snide remarks and comments would sway the Knight's view.

A group of one hundred and fifty strong would begin to make it's way towards the battle, spreading thin throughout the canyons and red dunes as they advanced. Fifty of the soldiers would draw their sniper rifles, seeking out points of vantage among raised terrain and hilltops before engaging the enemy. If that wasn't enough, a squad of four Longshot bombers would begin to converge on the soldiers position, flying above at a cautious rate in order to scout the area ahead. Soon enough, Oddball would have his reinforcements. Even while surrounded by death and the dark side, Tugoro managed to stay calm, his eyes closing eventually as he began to focus. There was no fear in him, for the boy had gotten used to confronting Sith Lords long ago, as a Padawan even. The young Knight was powerful in the force, and so he was willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it.

The relatively peaceful journey upon the shuttle would come to an end, as Tugoro gave a brief nod to the others and spoke to the pilot through his communicator. With his honed ability of sense, the Jedi had picked up on Tionne's location, and now the shuttle's hatch doors would open and prepare the group for deployment. The armored Republic soldiers would get to their feets if they hadn't already been standing, adjusting the jetpacks upon their backs before stepping towards the opening. Gripping one of the support bars, Tugoro would lean out of the transport and look downwards, spotting Tionne easily who happened to be riding upon a speeder.

Picking up in speed, the craft would aim to pass the woman, as those within began to pile out one by one. The armored individuals would quickly fall to the surface, their landing made safe thanks to the easing of their jetpacks. Now that his squad had safely made it to ground level, the Knight would leap out as well, leaning his body forward while keeping his arms tucked to his side. Slicing through the air at a rapid rate, the boy didn't actually have a jetpack to utilize. Instead, the Jedi would employ his advanced prowess over telekinesis, projecting a stream of force energy beneath him as he curved upwards, effectively flying and pulling up before impact.

Tugoro's booted feet would slam into the red dirt after his momentum calmed, a hand being raised to brush away any dust that might have gathered on him. Turning to his squad members with a cheery grin and confident thumbs up, the young Jedi would then avert his attention towards the approaching woman, who still hadn't gotten off her speeder bike. Now that they were blocking her path, the boy could only hope that she would stop in time.

Some of the rebel scum had opened fire on her position, but was aiming the droids under austere command of Major Vereen. Whilst this was happening Captain Emerton, began to give orders to his men. Everyone spread out he knew area effect weapons could decimate his troops, and volley fore could do considerable damage if they did not. Then came in his order to advance under cover, Everyone adopt skirmish formation, we going to take their forward position, from these rebel scum. Remember advance under cover, and keep the formation.
He then sent a comlink to Lt Roscoe, be prepared to give my troops covering fire as we advance. She replied Rodger, she then turned to Sergeant Wilson. Keep a watch on the infantry company, tell me if there is anything that needs to be taken down. He nodded and used his scope to watch their advance and flanks, to see if there was any sign of rebels waiting to ambush them.

Orick watched his HUD as he approached the FOB, there were droids and clones dropping in insane rates. He smiled as the HK drones continued to strafe the clones on the ground, knowing that even if he lose the stupid clankers he would still have a good amount of fire to attack the clones. With the addition of the 5 other HK's he now had a total of 10 to raid death down on the clone forces that had made his job easy by not even making him have to chase them. sensors reported that there incoming opds to the area and he watched at both the CRAM spiders and the F5's turned. The air was filled with dropping enemy reinforcements and defensive fire from the droids. He knew that some of them would land, but their numbers would be significantly reduced by the time they finally landed.

He saw of of his redeemer tanks go up on a ball of fire from an enemy rocket and he shook his head, there was no way they would get all of the tanks and the closer they got to the fighting the less space there would be for random heroics from the clones. " Press into the FOB, no main guns yet, use the blaster cannons and the auto cannon, you have my permission to fire at will." He informed the tank group as they rolled to the base. The sheer volume of fire that the four remaining tanks could produce was enough to almost make Orick feel sorry for the clones.. almost.

The fighting inside of the base was fierce, there were bodies of clones and droids everywhere, but the numbers didn't lie. There were just too many droid forces for the small handful of clones to ever imagine they could stop. the tanks rolled into the base proper and he could hear the deep bark of the auto cannons as they opened up on the clone raiders. He held no illusions of glory for this, it was overkill beyond the ability to properly calculate, but he didn't dwell on it. This was how the galaxy worked, when causes and ideals clashed, people died, and however noble these rebels perceived their ideals to be, the rest of the galaxy didn't seem to agree, because they were left to stand alone against the overwhelming might of the Techno Union. Orick held no illusions about his place in the galaxy, nor of his intentions in this fight, today he was just a soldier, doing what soldiers do best.

Enemies:TU and their allies.

Blane listened carefully to Tionne while sometimes looking at the direction of the war machine, as soon as Tionne left, Blane yelled at the soldiers left as more firepower seemed to come from different directions "TAKE COVER!" He ran as fast as he could hiding beside some rocks and hoping it would provide some temporary cover. It seemed to be concentrated on the air base, false alarm though it's better to be safe than sorry. He stared at the base nervously while speaking in the communicator "Max! This is Nightfall, do you copy?" He did not wait for an answer and continued speaking "The air base is taking heavy fire from multiple directions, I can't afford to stay here anymore, I have no clue if there is anybody else here but is a risk I have to take, I'm moving to the enemy position!" As soon as he finished his words, Blane begun running and gathering the others. "But sir, what about the base?" One of the soldiers asked while departing.
"if we don't take down those things, there won't be a base anymore!" He said answeing to the marine. "We will hunt the enemy one by one untill there is nothing left to fire at the air base."

There was nothing else left to do but to strike back, although it wasn't that easy, there were'nt many soldiers under Blane's command and nobody could tell if the techno Union had more surprises to show. Moving away was risky, but staying there would have been more risky, if it was a mistake he will answer for it later, if it was right then leave it be... It was war after all.

Forces

Onboard the command vehicle of [member="Darth Venefica"], Greta was instructed to stay close to the Sith Lord when they engaged the enemy. After all, she did not want to die just yet, as she had plenty to learn and more. Her forces were there to take the brunt of the attack coming their way, while dishing out some payback of their own. A wave of the Darth's hand, was all it took for the combined troop forces to be on the move.

The armoured vehicles clanked and creaked forward, accompanied by the marching footsteps of the infantry as the forces progressed forwards. Unlike the majority of the forces fielded in the field by their allies, they had a rather large contingent of organic infantry. This could be seen as a mix of pros and cons by others. She saw it as a good mix between the two. After all, what's a battle with the Sith without the good old Stormtroopers to join in the mix.

As the assault contingent moved forward to join the rest of the allied forces at the battlefront, her master used the lull in the battles to remind her of several key points. The first would be to reiterate to her troops not to fall for the classic tactic of chasing fleeing forces.

That was one of the oldest tricks in the book, and she had definitely not forgotten that. She had reminded her troops of the possibility of the enemy carrying out that tactic earlier on, but sure didn't hurt to remind that once more.

Activating her com-link, she reminded the commanding officer in charge of her forces to restrain his forces properly, and to ensure that they did not fall for that troublesome tactic. She listened to the reassurance of Captain Volker, before focusing once more on the front.

"Understood master."

Greta could now hear the resounding booms as cannons fired off in the distance, probably from the gigantic Mythosaur war machines. It would be hardly any time at all before they grouped up with the rest of the attacking party, and for now, all they had to do was enjoy the carnage and destruction that happened in front of them as they advanced.

General Mayhem

Behold my Conquest!
Location: Still waiting in the base for the right moment while the others swarm the dynamic duo.
Allies: Technocrats, Corporate Entrepreneurs, Party-animal Sith, Experimental Super Soldiers, Deathbots
Enemies: [member="Oddball"] @Jarven Zexxel the Rebels and a great deal of desert-dwelling bugs who need to be reminded what real leadership looks like.
Objective: Raise a little hell, make a couple moves, get down tonight. Uh-huh. Get down tonight.

Mayhem adjusted her timetables with a shrewd ploy. Multiple comm flare-ups demonstrated the Sith finally getting out to the party, as well as a few more Jedi confirmed on the battle field. Oh, she'd love a light-saber for her collection of deadly alien weapons. But she was no mere corbie skulking the battlefield. No. Her game was simple--keep what you earn in noble battle. But first, it was time to move the squads back in. She nodded to her men. "All infantry get in ready positions. Assaults teams, load into the IFV's, jump troops, prepared to launch."

She eyed the lieutenant. "Three minutes and counting." Her subordinate nodded. "Aye, ma'am. I'll head to the base and maintain command."

Mayhem nodded. "As you wish. It begins."

~~Meanwhile, at IFV GMCV-1983~~

'Bleeping Nuts' hopped into a seat, compressing neatly while looking at the other three. "Time to rock," he said with a mirthful chirp about something involving a sailor's daughter and an aromatic tuber.

F.M. Tilted his head to left in presumed judgement. "You chat with you commander with Vocab like that, Screwloose?"

Z6-BN Just laughed it off. "My commander doesn't order me to sweet talk--she should, though. She orders me to ride high and raise hell."

'Faceplate' shrugged. "Listen, we can talk about how charming we are after we've won this battle. These insurgents needs a shake up, after all."

The hovering droid waggled a torch in the affirmative. "I finished the alterations, but I'm faster than the others. Two minutes, forty-five seconds, and counting. You ready to test this out, Bleep?"

"I was welded ready," the snarky naval droid shot back. He smirked. "However, you know the rules."

All three of them replied back, in a deadpan so dry it would have drain moisture from the sands around them. "Yeah, driver chooses the Music."

--Approaching the Battlefield--

Mayhem lifted her staff. "Unit's 73-123, CHARGE!!!!" She yelled, happy to finally designate a target as she climbed on top of an IFV while watching as the droids charged. These weren't just Clankers. No, they were Hegemonic's front-line assault men. The T-1 units, each using jump jets bought from a newer corporate interest. Had to love those miltary contracts, kept the business running. She began laughing as they activate they jump jets, flying like locusts out of the pre-fabricated base and landing on the dunes, sliding towards [member="Oddball"] and his company. They would have been more likely to get shredded if they had jumped in earlier, but the clone and his company were already being swarmed by the masses commanded by Prime and lord knows who else. Mayhem her self began running through the gates and towrds the battle, charging like a steel and ceramic horse.

--Also in the meanwhile--

In one of the IFV's without modifications, five droids in white robes with silver embroidery sat, legs crossed, staring at their own weapons. Vibroblades, painted the same cool silver and blue as worn by their leader, the General and warlord Mayhem. The disciplined T-4 commandoes received their orders. The leader, Tsang, spoke. "We will be heading towards the Foundry. The bandits will aim for the Air base. We are to lead the infantry assault alongside the General herself."

Another retorted. "Does the General lack trust in us to demand to oversee this mission herself?"

Tsang shook his head sternly. "No. She simply wishes to join us in Glory. She too craves the battle. She currently leads the front-liners into combat with the first wave."

"I see," the man said, observing carefully. "We have sparred with her only briefly, but I have seen her style. There is a spirit of a warrior in her heart, even if it prefers chaos to order," the droid mused out loud without fear, despite the nearly treacherous turn he had spoken of.

Tsang nodded. "She has a certain pride, different form ours but still there. However, like most Generals, her pride is tempered with practicality. If she loses sight of her honor, then we shall reconsider her decisions. Until then, we remain loyal to our commission, and to the Union, and to our commander," he said calmly.

--Back to the Mayhem (heh)--

Mayhem saw the scene unfolding as the skyborne droids began falling into the fray and unloading their rifles with precision. She began charging herself, running with speed matched only by vehicles and charging cavalry as she ran towards her opponents. This would be grand and glorious. This would be a battle to witness, chrome against flesh, staves upon blades, warrior to warrior.

There was still time. And it was time to aid the Rebel forces below as the Corporatists pressed forward along the barren Geonosis surface.

They never look up. Not like they could stop anything if they did, though.

"Dispatch orbital bombers," the Admiral ordered. "Anti-air and--"

"Ma'am," her comms officer interrupted. "Ma'am, we have a giant lizard." Just what the doctor ordered. Krasnaya bit her lip, annoyed by the use of biological monstrosities below. And the Corporate Fascists called the Alliance underhanded.

"That is what the Saints are made for, yes?" Indeed, it was. "Half bombard on all targets. No reservation. We stop them now, or the ground forces are pinned."

The eight HEPF-1 Saint bombers idling within the fleet came to life, the crafts' stealth technology keeping the forces below unwarned of their incoming demise. With the unusual precision their advanced targeting computers afforded, the bombardment fighters dropped shields and subsequently dropped their non-ballistic bombs on their rather large and unmistakeable recipients. It was almost certain that they would not even know what hit them. In less than a minute, the tanks, mechs, artillery, and beasts that had been targeted would be smashed within their own craters.

Force:

x2 AT-AW
x5 AT-LAW
x100 Dagobah Knights 4 Companies (25 per)

[youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZF5m-vmDzM[/youtube]
Their first engagement of the invasion took place shortly after coming from the shadowy cover of the mountains to their right. A small enemy force was now caught out in the open and unprepared to handle the mechanized war machines of the Sith. The AT-LAWs tore into their ranks, killing most in the first volley of fire; and pinning a hand few survivors behind a small rock formation. It was time for the Sith Lady and her Apprentice to do their part.
A short nod to her Apprentice first, then the Sith Lady charged toward the confused enemy inhaling their fear along the way. As she closed the gap between the joint forces of those of her troops and those of her Apprentices and the pinned enemy, she called to her hand The Dagobah Curse thumbing the activation stud. With a haunting snap-hiss the deep metallic blade hummed and crackled to life.
"Leave none alive," she ordered her Apprentice as she lept into the air, landing in the midst of the confused enemy. There was plenty of time to collect her test subjects.
The Sith Lady danced gracefully, her blade swinging in perfect macabre unison with it's owner as the blade screamed in pleasure tasting flesh. The small fight was over as quickly as it began. The last soldier she was killing began birthing great satisfaction throughout her body. After severing his rifle in two as it was held in shaky hands, she gripped his throat via the Force and lifted him off his feet. The dangling feet mixed with the gurgling sounds of choking was a beautiful sight to behold.
Then she grew bored, balled her fist tight and quick, and finally snapped the soldier's neck. With no respect to his lifeless body, she swatted it away as if it was a pestering insect buzzing around her head. And that's when she felt it. The familiar presence of the Lightside. Jedi. And she cursed herself outloud. She had been dupped! Tricky Jedi scum!
