Tenancy (Order of the Gray)

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
[member="Alec Rekali"]

"While a monitor is necessary, why do you think i made an AI the guardian." She started as she looked over at the hologram of Eve. "You see, a AI can't be tricked and can actively study and watch what goes on here without the threat of an illusion or something worse occuring so unless you yourself know an AI that is trustworthy, i must insist you not bring another person here." With that said she looked at the door. "Ill be waiting at the top of the stairs, this place sickens me as it is... Eve do make sure to lock up the Forge tight when Krest and miss Rekali leave..." With that Alex spun, pale and uneasy as she looked like she was hit by a truck and even seemed to be shaking a little.

"Yes, it can. I would suggest, if you do bring someone in, to have them a.. A vong shaped is a good idea. They will fully resist the corruption, making them an ideal solution. And don't get me wrong, I know fully well what the Forge can do, and I agree with you. Monitors need to be in place. This is to provide balance after all."

Many things. A lot of stuff Krest had in mind he probably would never make, but the thoughts were there. And if he had them, who else could? Crossing his arms over his chest he'd not to both [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"] and [member="Alec Rekali"] . "I welcome anyone willing to monitor, especially another smith." The Zabrak trailed off for a moment before zoning back in, slamming his metal hand into the other, much like a judges gavel against a table.

"Ah! Yes. I forgot to introduce myself. I am Krest, mentor of the Grey. It is truly nice to see a mandalorian visit this temple."

[member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"] and [member="Krest"] seemed to disagree about the monitor, but Krest's acquiescence helped her keep herself from pushing the issue. The Grays were guests; guests didn't get to insist.

"I'll find a monitor," she said. "As for artificial intelligence..ever been to Dromund Kaas? Dark Side nexuses tend to interfere with electronics. The more use this forge sees, the stronger the nexus gets, the more and more glitches Eve will experience. I'm amazed it hasn't started already." She said the last as Feanor retreated up the stairs; then Alec turned to Krest.

"Alec Rekali. Likewise. I've got a man in mind; you may even find him useful, if he's in the mood."

"Well, so long as he himself doesn't start to experience glitches, I'm sure he'll do fine." There was very few things the Grey could say no to at this point. It wasn't that they felt threatened, but this wasn't their world. They were indeed guests, and it was there duty to keep their hosts happy.

"I completely understand the want to make sure your people are safe. It's part of the reason we had come here to begin with after all." With that the Zabrak would wave a hand, moving to go back up. "it would be best of we did go. I'm not sure the affects on darkskde corruptions on one who can't use the Force, and I'd rather not learn."

Alec shrugged. "Far as I understand it, Force-sensitive means exactly that. The less in tune with the Force you are, the less this kind of thing affects you. Feanor's off gagging somewhere, and she's a Master; I'm not a Forcer, and I feel more or less fine. Bit of nausea, bit of a chill, nothing huge. But sure, if you could take over the rest of the tour, I'm interested in seeing what you've built."

[member="Alec Rekali"]

"True, though I'm still unsure on what it could do.. Anyway." His red form would move up to the first floor, dead even between the garden above and the forge below. Here to the force sensitive there seemed to be literally be a Grey presence. Of course, Krest doubted she would feel it.

"I suppose first we shall go to the messhall. It's a rather basic area, but the students should be there. I think it would be good for not only you, but them to meet one another." The mess hall was a good distance away, about a ten minute walk. But it wasn't a silent walk. "Do you have any questions for us while we walk? I'm sure I can answer any and all."

She followed him up a couple of levels, until the chill and the nausea faded. "I'd be happy to meet the rest of your Order. As for questions, Feanor mentioned that you're the primary alchemist here -- where did you get your Sith training?"

"The New Order. I'm sure you know who they are, despite how easily your people destroyed them. I was once known as Darth Ferus, apprentice to Vulcanus up until I died. Then, while I recovered, I took the name Daichi and altered my form. It was the kindness of Ordo when he spared my people that i chose to challenge the Sith and.. Well. Here we are." Krest kept his eyes forward, moving step after step as he spoke. He did speak the truth at least.

The names got a faint smile. Her grandfather had broken the New Order in naval combat, and had spoken of Emperor Daichi. And then there was Vulcanus, who'd given him a diagonal scar from shoulder to hip, a scar he'd carried for years. She wasn't one to sense the truth of things, but straightforward citation of Vulcanus struck her as an honest way to acknowledge his past. It was a second point in Krest's favor, the first being his derailment of Feanor's refusal.

"What are your ambitions? Alchemically, politically, personally?"

"Alchemically? Well. I don't know actually. I don't have a goal with it other than provide what people ask me to make them." Krest nodded quickly, adding in, "Within reason of course. I don't plan on helping people make Sithspawn undead monsters or anything of the like." The voices of the students were faint at this point, but it was clear they were getting close. "Politics I dislike. Never been good at them. Alex handles what she can in that regard. But personally.."

He'd stop by a door, waving his hand. It would open suddenly, revealing the mess hall, as a mess. Children ranging from eight to eighteen were in the middle of a food fight, the thirty or so in full war mode. Seemed it was three factions within the group chucking food, sometimes even plates. "I want to give a home where the children of this galaxy don't have to be forced down a path with Jedi or Sith. Shouldn't be to-" Krest was cut short as one of the plates bounced off his head, causing him to stumble away from the gate.

The room went quiet as Krest was hit, and upon his return to the doorway the students were that much quieter. Stepping into the room the Zabrak had both his hands behind his back. "Ah. Good, you're all here, I'd like you to welcome our visitor, [member="Alec Rekali"] . Welcome her yes?" Unseen to the mandalorian, Krest was actually smiling. But his voice wasn't exactly the happiest. All the students at once, regardless on how covered in food they happened to be, stood, bowed, and shouted in unison.

"Welcome!"

Well-regimented children meters from a Dark Side nexus - it fit the pattern taking form in her mind. Reasonably good intentions, hazardous execution. She returned their greetings.

"My grandfather was raised in an arrangement just like this."

The Zabrak moved behind the Mandalorian, but not before offering a wink to the kids. It was then that Krest leaned in, whispering to the Mandalorian. "So long as they clean up and respect their elders, we don't really mind what they do. A lot of them had lost their parents during the New Order reign, and we try to keep them happy, if disciplined." It was then that the door was shut, and the food fight began again.

"Now, save for the sleeping corridors, all that would be left is the garden. Which, unlike the forge, is fairly easy to get to." Krest would begin to walk off, going to a nearby staircase to the roof. While the forge was limited to a small area, the garden wasn't. Of course, it was the Tree at the center that they would need to get to.

Alex would be sitting under the tree once they got up to the roof of the temple, eyes closed though still shaking a bit as she seemed to be muttering to herself. Daeda, her ashlan wolf companion, was no more than a few feet from her and looked at her until Krest or Alec showed themselves on the roof, turning its head to look at them for a moment before looking at Alex again.

This place sat easier with her, and that was probably the point. She felt more at ease almost at once, back in the Yavin Four sunlight. Feanor looked like she could use a kind word, or at least a distraction, and the small canine offered the chance. Alec crouched by the little Ashlan wolf -- "hey there, boy" -- and scratched it behind the ears. Still crouching, elbows on knees, Alec looked up at Feanor. "Feeling any better?"

Alexandra blinked and shook the current thought she had been stuck on out of her head so that she could speak with the woman, laughing about something first as the Ashlan was complaining about being called boy inside Alex's mind. "Oh deal with it..." She would reply wordlessly before looking up at Rekali and nodded before she spoke out loud this time. "Right sorry about that, Krest was right down there and it was rash of me... that place or any dark place tends to bring out the worst in me. Anyways, i do hope that Krest explained what this place is... and i can promise you that here you wont see me looking like i was on the edge of dying." She smiled, her eyes and appearance brighter, her face holding the kind and soft smile that it normally did and her breath slow.

Krest kept to the back, a faint smile on his face. At least she was looking better. But the wolf reminded him of something. With a slight frown he'd walk over, nodding once to Alex. "You know where the Bha'lir cubs are? I'm not sure where they were taken after we brought them here." The litter of nine. They should be kept in their own pen, but he wasn't too sure.

"So if your Order wasn't ready to deal with the effects of the things you do, what prompted the decision to do them anyway? Are a couple of swords worth that?"

"You mistake my inability to go near the Dark side for too long as something common in the order... no, the order needed balance and as proof of this balance was this garden and that forge, creating a physical and force based balance betwen life and death, dark and light. Hmm... would you like to better understand why being in the darkside or consumed by it is dangerous for me?" She blinked, careful to keep ahold of Hel incase Rekali did wish to know why past it just being a dark nexus in general. She then looked up at Krest. "The Cubs are fine, our echani resident that is not me is watching them."

[member="Alec Rekali"]
[member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"]

"The ancient Je'daii once used two moons as their nexus's for balance. The purpose of the forge is to be the dark. It could of very well been a small tome made into the nexus, but we figured a secondary use would be good. However, this is not our first forge, garden, or even temple. While the path to balance is tedious, we do have a teaching method set out to work with it."

The Zabrak spoke up, now at least sure the cubs were in good hands. He'd salk over to the two, crossing both hands over his chest.

Minna had spent most of her day in the archives reading about various places of interest, specifically of importance in terms of the Force. Once she had absorbed all she could for the time being, she decided to clear her mind with some meditation in the temple's garden. However, once she reached the garden she was met with her two friends and a face she hadn't seen before. The Yodaling gave a small bow mainly greeting the visitor, but also to Alex and Krest. With a smile on her face, she made her way over to the group and looked up at them. "A visitor, we have?" She would say whilst examining the visitor.
